Pros: The room was smaller than what I'm used to, but very comfortable. The bed was plush, with high-quality bedding. Good shower and toiletries, fast elevators, comfortable lobby
Cons: The walls are quite thin, and because the toilets are vacuum toilets, they are louder than average toilets, and you can hear everyone flushing. The bathroom door is also a stylish (but not noise-blocking) glass barn door, so if you are sharing the room with someone, they will hear everything that is happening in the bathroom. There is a $25 fee to use the gym and pool, which I was not aware of when I booked the room.
Pros: I was very happy with the hotel, location in the city, the service & the staff.
Cons: I couldn't stay longer.
Cons: fees for everything including gym and even moving anything in the mini bar. grout in shower old and stained, toilet off center and wiggled.
Cons: They charge you extra for the health club, which is not that great - I found that to be offensive!
Pros: I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. I would easily recommend the hotel to others.
Pros: The bathroom was nice with shower and tub. The indoor pool and Hot Tub were great for relaxing after visiting the sites. There was $25 per room charge for use of the pool/hot tub but this was small price to pay for this feature.
Cons: Aggressive panhandlers all over the city.
Cons: Fees for Internet and gym. Additional fees for more than two adults.
Pros: The room was quite nice. The staff was very curteous and helpful. The location is convienent. The price was reasonable.
Cons: The pool was only available as part of the health club which annoyed me.
Pros: Beautiful interior design
Cons: Expensive vehicle stay rate. Small room
Pros: Excellent location
Good pillows, bed & linens
Cons: I had a queen room, very small
No remote control for the TV
Long, long checkin/check out process.
Gym in not complimentary
Pros: Great stay at the Hotel Nikko, definitely pay $25 for access to the pool and spa.
The Asian-inspired Hotel Nikko San Francisco is located downtown, a 4-minute walk from Union Square and the designer shops of Westfield San Francisco Centre. Guests can catch a cable car 2 blocks south, and both Curran Theatre and American Conservatory Theater are right around the corner.
Pros: Very clean, well appointed modern rooms, with 100% Cotten sheets and down comforters. His and her bathrobes. Standard continental breakfast, with bonus Starbucks coffee. Evening has coffee/tea with cookies and complimentary glass of wine. We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and we definitely will stay again.
Pros: The beds were comfortable, plenty of room and friendly staff. Beautiful and simple room. Great experience.
Pros: I booked this hotel as it was a good price, had great reviews and was convenient enough for a conference at the Moscone Center without paying ridiculous downtown prices. I wasn't disappointed. The staff were all really nice, the room was comfortable, very eclectic design, modern bathrooms, but some very opulent furniture. About a 15 min walk to the BART, 10 min to Caltrain, about 5 min walk to the downtown San Bruno area that has quite a few restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay there again and make time to try the spa!
Cons: I didn't think the breakfast buffet was anything special. but since it was included in the price, can't complain.
Focus on your destination at the Villa Montes Hotel, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member in San Bruno, CA, located near San Francisco Airport. This smoke-free hotel is located near Fishermans Wharf, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Cow Palace, San Francisco State University and University of California, San Francisco. Enjoy amenities like free hot breakfast, free WiFi, free airport transportation, meeting facilities and fitness center. Rooms include microwaves, refrigerators, hair dryers, coffee makers, iron and ironing boards. Valid credit card required upon check-in for incidentals.
Pros: Comfy bed, soft sheets, nice view of city, terrific AC and excellent lounge.
Cons: Staff was not accommodating for what was promised. Staff was also rude.
Cons: No free wifi and same type of breakfast everyday
Pros: The location
Cons: A 4 star Marriott hotel without room service? In San Francisco? Get your act together. What a dated American hospitality company. Will not stay there again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Cons: No swimming pool
Pros: The value for the money is really good!
It was clean, spacious, well decorated. We ensured to get two beds in the bedroom and we got them!
Pros: Hotel was clean
Cons: We booked a room for two night with a king size bed upon arrival we were not told they didn't have a room for us instead sent us to a room with double beds wouldn't accommodate us claiming they had "no more rooms available "... next day had issues relocating our luggage to next room. Parking was absurd $70 dollars a night ?? Overrated
Pros: Location is excellent.
Cons: Big hotel where you get lost. Looks and feel old, needs a major renovation.
Pros: The room was clean, the bed was amazing, location was walking distance to all things downtown, I felt safe with my young son, easy express checkout.
Cons: No room service, for the money we spent I would've liked to see a free breakfast, the cost of parking is insane (it is SF though), no pool.
Pros: Really nice lobby, rooms where clean
Cons: The wifi wasn't free, they charged you to use a computer for $.40 per minute. I really needed a workstation. No hot tube or pool for $400 per night. Will not go back.
Pros: Great location great front desk people beautiful view
Cons: Drink left in room from previous occupant
Pros: We enjoyed the Marriott Marquis hotel very much , but the valet only parking is a bit spends. Thank goodness there is another parking garage one block over. Y

Pros: We stayed a night since it was near our morning meeting. The layout and lobby is great, and the staff is very welcoming. Unfortunately let down by mediocre room experience (deluxe king) and we could not have a good rest.
Cons: The thermostat in our room was broken and it was way too hot. We tried re-setting it several times but it kept blowing hot air even though it was 75F. It was very difficult to sleep and sweated through the night.
The shower pressure was very low. Having both shower head choices was nice, but it was difficult to feel clean because the water pressure was very low and so it took much longer to soap off.
For a business hotel, you had to pay for internet. We used a hotspot instead. It felt a bit confused whether it was a luxury hotel or a business hotel, and for the price point I would stay somewhere else that has better value for money. Not having a good night sleep really affected my work day
Cons: The room stunk! For $600 get some air freshener.
Pros: Great hotel and staff. They treated us perfectly. I would absolutely stay here again. No complaints as all.
Cons: The location for us was a bit too close to some seedy areas of town. No problem, but you need to be careful which way you walk.
Pros: Given a corner room even though I booked via Kayak
Provided with slippers
Room was spacious and TV was large - guess is 55"
Gym was well equipped but didn't have time to use it
Easter bunny was on duty and there was a tableful of candy for the young and not so young - I didn't have any but still appreciated the effort
Cons: Bathroom short on racks to hang towels
Shower head water flow too wimpy
Bathroom scale low on battery
Pros: I hosted a bachelorette party at the Intercontinental and it was great!! The staff was very accommodating and helped us with making sure all the girls were taken care of. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, and the hotel was extremely spacious.
Cons: There was a "bouncer" type employee at night who gave me and the girls staying at the hotel a hard time. He required every girl to have a key in their hand to get in, even though we just had one person per room have a key because we didn't think it was necessary. He was extremely rude and borderline harassing.
Pros: Appreciated the staff the location and the lounge/restaurant. The room was great with a nice view each morning
Pros: Luxury accommodations. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Valet parking fee is crazy high!
Pros: I liked how the staff was really attentive. Rooms clean, everyine real proffesional.
Cons: I didnt like the fact that when u drive in to check in they dont tell u that the charge for parking is 65$ . Also that the water thats in the room thats bottled i didnt know they would charge me 8:50$ for it. Ridiculous! I seen when i checkd out!
Pros: Comfortable bed, clean facilities
Cons: Check out was at 12:00pm as normal but was woken up by maid knocking on door at 9:15am.
Charged my credit card $100.00 more than what was on invoice when I checked out. To be refunded within 5days or so supposedly.......
It would have been nice to know beforehand.
Pros: Awesome views of AT&T Park and the Bay. Front desk agent was great.
The InterContinental® San Francisco hotel is a short walk to the Museum of Modern Art Union Square's upscale shopping and dining and Moscone Center conventions. You can host refined events in stylish boardrooms and elegant ballrooms before unwinding with treatments in private spa rooms or a swim in the indoor pool. Delight in gourmet modern American cuisine in our chic Michelin one-starred Luce restaurant and relish crafted grappa cocktails in the sophisticated Bar 888.
Pros: The linens were the most comfortable of any hotel I have ever visited, and I have stayed at some of the world's most luxurious hotels. The TV has a huge screen and a supremely clear picture. 4K?? The location is very close to the rental car return agencies. Very clean. The only drawback was the check in. I asked for a quiet room with a bathtub. The first room I was assigned had soaking wet carpet from a recent shampoo. Instead of bringing me a key to another room I had to go down to the lobby again and wait for what seemed like an eternity for them to assign me a different room. The person at the front desk (Yolanda?) laughed when I explained the reason i had to change rooms. Then they had a lot of difficulty figuring out which rooms on the quiet side of the hotel had bath tubs. Once I got to the room however I was extremely comfortable and the room was super quiet. A/C could use a slight boost.
Pros: The hotel is easy to access and the quality of the rooms is very high.
Not far from the city and really close to the airport
Great view of the plane landing and taking off without the sound.
very friendly staff
Cons: A bit on the high side for the price depending on the day you stay.
Pros: Room furnishings were very nice and modern. Bed very comfortable. Loved the glass shower doors and bathroom amenities. Staff very friendly. Free airport shuttle very convenient. Overall great experience.
Cons: Tried express check-out via telephone and TV menu but neither worked. Had to checkout at front desk but luckily there was no wait. Would prefer express checkout.
Cons: Waterproof mattresses and broken fixtures? Can't believe Marriott puts their name behind this place.
Pros: Great Bed experience. I did not.mind being far from San Francisco since we had rented a car.
Cons: There was a used towel in our room when we checked.
Pros: It was very nice, location felt safe. Staff was friendly. Pillows and blanket were goose down, very comfy.
Cons: $25 parking. You run into expensive parking so much in downtown San Francisco that it would have been nice to have lower or none there. The lounge staff, while friendly, seemed to need more staffing. It took a while to be greeted or get our bill. There was no fan in the bathroom so while showering it got very hot fast. They had to add on a hold for an extra $100 on my debit card, just because it was a debit. It's refundable but it has yet to be removed from my bank statement.
Cons: They could not accommodate my room and needs since booking.com made multiple mistakes in my order. For my inconvinance nothing special was offered or any type of discounts.
Pros: Love the convenience and ease for travelers. The pool- though small for serious workout, hot tub, and work out room is great.
Pros: The staff was amazing. Some of the best customer service I have seen in a long time.
They had fruit and candy out and everyone smiled and was helpful. It was wonderful.

Pros: The facilities were nice and clean and the staff was always helpful
Pros: great location, nice and helpful staff
Cons: a bit noisy and messy in the pit, room not clean enough, too many people sharing bathrooms.
Pros: I especially enjoyed the free walk. It was on my first day and I met quite a few people I connected with over the next few days. It provided a great orientation to the area around the hostel. I also enjoyed my four-woman dorm accommodation. My roommates were quiet, friendly and thoughtful. I loved the location. It was close to public transportation, there was a convenience store opposite and plenty of nearby restaurants. I was looking forward to the biking the bridge tour, but it was cancelled because of rain. It turned out well because I biked the bridge independently with another woman from the hostel on a beautiful sunny day. We asked for the hostel discount at Blazing Saddles and paid $18 instead of $32.
Cons: The dorm was warm, but thankfully we had a room facing the street and could open the window. The price is likely competitive for San Francisco, but with the exchange rate of USD to Canadian Dollars, paying $92.46 CAD isn't good value for one night in a hostel dorm.
USA Hostels San Francisco puts you in a great location, within a 15-minute walk of Union Square and Westfield San Francisco Centre. Guests can visit the 24-hour fitness center for a workout, and free perks include WiFi and continental breakfast daily between 7 AM and 10 AM. Also, Lombard Street and Asian Art Museum of San Francisco are within a short drive.
Cons: Your staff treated my son who booked the property like trash...it was simply unpleasant
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Dirty and stained furniture in hallways by rooms
Pros: Staff was considerate and helpful in every way. Food in the Nob Hill Club was excellent. Great views from Top of the Mark.
Cons: Furniture in lobby needs cleaning or reupholstering. Looks dated. Bathroom was small and dark. I was there 5 days and one of the elevators was out of service for 3 of those days.
Staff was super friendly and helpful especially the valet
Cons: Noise level in the rooms. Windows do not block out the noise from the streets so you can hear Grace Cathedral bells and the cable cars which is great but also the loud drunks in the middle of the night as well.
Pros: Comfortable room and good location. Noise level was fine despite being on the same street as the cable car.
Cons: A bit run down in appearance and small old elevators. Poor customer service upon check. We were given a hard sale to sign up for hotel program upon arrival.
Pros: The location of this hotel is great with walking access to the waterfront, Union Square, cable cars, and public transport. The staff was excellent and very attentive. The room was everything we wanted, plus a great view. The restaurant had a good selection. The night club was really fun. We would definitely stay here again.
Pros: Room service was good, bed, pillows & frette Sheets were excellent.
Cons: Dark bathroom, dated room in general...for the money I prefer the Fairmont.
Pros: Nice people.
Cons: This place would be great, but it need a renovation. It just looks like it hasn't been kept up in some time. Needs some fresh paint and some updates. It's in an area that not much is going on also
Pros: Great location
Cons: Parking costs
Pros: A great location and views
Cons: A little pricey
Pros: Location is good, close to everything
Cons: I booked this reservation months in advance for a large group, and still, upon check-in there was alot of miscommunication and confusion about the reservation (how many rooms, names on the reservation, etc). Staff was not warm or particularly helpful at all, there was an obvious lack of hospitably and willingness to help that you receive at most hotels. The hotel itself is average, its very old and outdated inside, the walls are thin so u hear conversations next door, and the rooms are small. There were very limited hours for the restaurant/lounge downstairs, and overall was just someolace you'd go to sleep and thats it. It really was just ok. Many other hotels in the area that offered more for the price. I wouldnt stay there again.
Pros: Great place to stay if you want to be treated like royalty at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend staying here and also having drinks at the Top of the Mark. Excellent views of the "city by the bay" and the music and service is awesome! Do yourself a favor and stay here. We do every year for almost 20 years. You won't regret it!
From the moment you first glimpse the crystal chandeliers and velvet armchairs in the grand lobby the InterContinental® Mark Hopkins San Francisco hotel transports you to a golden glamorous era. Host your dream wedding in one of two magnificent ballrooms or unwind in an opulent suite decorated with unique artwork. The hotel restaurant serves the best of California’s contemporary cuisine while famous city highlights like Union Square and the San Francisco Playhouse are a short stroll away.
Cons: Several pillow cases were scented with perfume. Pillow cases had not been changed? Bed sheets??
Pros: Close to airport with free shuttle every half hour
Cons: Booked a king size bed with whirlpool. I didn't read the fine print that said if available which meant I didn't get the whirlpool.
Pros: Staff was friendly and responsive.
Room seemed clean.
Cons: Staff gave wrong information about the hotel's shuttle. After waiting for more than 45 min for a shuttle that I was told would be 15 min., I ended up having to waste time and $$ to pay for an Uber driver.
No complimentary breakfast.
Cons: I thought they had a complimentary breakfast, they didn't I got charged 12.99, I wasn't happy about that !
Pros: The staff were super friendly and helpful, the hotel was really convenient to downtown SF(18 minutes away), and with an amazing view! Hotel room was clean and comfy! It was definitely worth it for the price paid.
Cons: There was no complimentary breakfast, had to pay for it. But otherwise everything was great!
Pros: Convenient location from airport or to downtown San Francisco. Excellent conveniences such as a business center, workout room, laundry facilities, and accessible room availability. They had multiple areas for business travelers to sit and work. They have their own restaurant on site so dinner and a full breakfast was offered at a very reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was very impressed when I received an email to confirm our reservation and it offered me other things that I might need, for example extra towels, blankets and even a quiet room. The only reason I didn't 5 star the hotel was because the beds were definitely full size and not queen and they were very soft and a bit lumpy. Additionally, their pillows were also very mushy and not firm enough to support your neck. Other than that it is a very nice place to stay.
Cons: Full size beds instead of queen, soft lumpy beds and mushy pillows that were not firm enough to support neck.
Pros: I'm glad there was a restaurant available. But I'm used to having a free buffet offered.
Cons: There wasn't a free buffet.
Pros: Everything was wonderful. Fresh fruit and cookies were much appreciated when we came into the lobby. Staff were so friendly and efficient, The room was very nice and quiet.
Cons: Couldn't get a second nights stay.
Pros: Clean room and polite staff.
Cons: No pool.

Pros: The rooms, meeting facilities, customer service
Pros: Rooms had beautiful view overlooking the hotel Lobby. Size of the rooms are nice.
Cons: Waited for shuttle over 45 min.. a shuttle from a different Hotel was nice enough to drive us .at 2 am needed maintenance ac was not working .. bathroom was not clean toilet seats for dirty from the last person there.
Pros: The hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant and polite. We were staying for one night before having to be at the UCSF children's hospital the next day and we all slept like babies. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linen was very soft overall we had a great stay.
Pros: Food at 360 was great. Beds were comfy.
Cons: No microwaves in room. No liquid coffee creamer, just powder.
Pros: Beautiful hotel with strong drinks!
Cons: No nightlife near by.
Cons: The whole place smelled dusty due to the construction-- I booked a 300 dollar room and they said that there was no running water--- moved me into another room with no view but not any cheaper
Cons: Under much needed renovation. Would have been nice to know at time of booking. Air filter so plugged air wouldn't flow. Toilet wouldn't stop running. Blood on comforter. No coffee maker in room. Not at all what you'd expect from a Hyatt. Staff was great when we told them about issues.
Pros: we didnt like much. they didnt include on the web that the hotel is going through massive renovations. pool was closed which we wanted to use so badly during our short vacation. The gym was also out of service. it was very disappointing of an experience.
Cons: Under construction, noisey
Pros: Room layout, beds, a lot of outlets, very clean
Cons: HUGE construction project in the middle atrium, hence noise and no restaurant. Bathroom amenities very, very limited - need to ask for basic things like Q-tips and other (yes, they are available - a nice list in the room) but having only soap and shampoo in the room is not sufficient
Cons: Valet and bell hops were friendly and helpful. First check attempt was not successful due to a power outage that only affected the computers. Employee was also rude and really should find a job that does not involve working with people. Attempted to order food to go in the restaurant, after waiting for 25mns while the waiter was watching a football game we gave up and left. Rooms were dated and dingy. Would not recommend as a platinum passport member.
Full service, 9 story hotel with 789 guestrooms including 26 suites. Located on San Francisco Bay and just 2 miles south of SFO Airport, hotel offers free 24-hour airport shuttle service. Accessible by car or BART commuter train, downtown San Francisco is 13 miles north Accessible by car or CALTRAIN, Silicon Valley is 13 miles south. Hotel offers free trolley service to and from downtown Burlingame's shops and restaurants.
Pros: Close to everything with all the conveniences yet subdued and relaxing. Staff were attentive and available. The restaurant /lounge was a great venue to unwind
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Parking fee was extremely expensive and there was no free wifi. For the price, wifi should have been included.
Pros: Great staff, newly remodeled rooms and location was perfect.
Pros: I liked that we were able to find a great place on such short notice. The Manager on Duty, I think her name was Susan, was very helpful after one of the reservation agent accidentally mixed up our checkout time- and another Agent Brandon wasn't very kind to us.
I ate most of my meals at the hotel, breakfast lunch and dinner- and I had three different bartender/servers during my stay that were all so very pleasant. Some even gave me directions to buy a hoodie at a nearby store because I didn't realize it would be colder there this time of year still.
And the chef made me an awesome salad when I wanted to exchange tuna for chicken on the salad that comes with Lemon Dressing- it was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this substitution as the combination of greens and dressing go amazing with Tuna! It will cost you 2 dollars more as Tuna is more expensive (rightfully so) but it I ate the entire thing. I couldn't stop myself.
Cons: Other than the mixup on our checkout time- I was happy with my stay overall.

Pros: Customer service was excellent. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Needs more underground garage parking.
Pros: very clean
Cons: very far from san francisco downtown
not too much variety in the breakfast menu
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic including western omlet and waffles! The breakfast/long area well decorated and clean. The rooms were large and quite beautiful. Beds were comfortable. We recommend it!!! Felt like a safe area.
Cons: We have no complaints!

Pros: The location was great and my room was quiet.
Cons: There was a bit of mildew odor in the bathroom. If not for that I would have given an excellent rating, instead of good, for my stay.
Pros: Close to everything in Union Square, clean and nice-looking inside.
Cons: ...but that translates to a little over $300 a night, which isn't really worth it. Avoid it during the conventions in town.
Pros: Good arrival and wait staff were both friendly and efficient. The door man was great and the team inside were extremely helpful. I have stayed in other SF hotels in the past and Hotel Zelos is a nice addition to the city. City hotel rooms can sometimes be small but the rooms at Zelos are very spacious!
I also would like to say thank you for an overall smooth and fun experience! From booking on line with Kayak to speaking directly with the hotel, to checking in & out, everyone was super friendly and consistently would go out of their way to be helpful.
Cons: Mixed message on parking After speaking with associates on two separate occasions.
Then the confusion in the garage, mind you I thought I lost my ticket to return however I unpacked it when I arrived back home this evening. There was a problem between the hand written sign in log from the valet and the printed report from the front desk and the hotel's portion of valet claim check system also did not work. I retrieved my vehicle because I brought the only two matching keys and I have matching handmade key chains attached.
Breakfast table with two nice chairs rather than a rolling office chair. That was weird. But it was also SF PRIDE weekend so who cares!
Pros: Front desk personnel and bell service were exceptionally helpful.
Rooms were nicely appointed - largest TV I've ever had in a hotel room.
Central location right at Powell St. BART Station allowed me to get there quickly from Oakland Airport.
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The driver to the airport (George in the Towncar) was very courteous.
Cons: Need a coffee maker in room. Not a deal breaker though of course.
Pros: Room was great. But we were placed next to the ice machine....the wall there sounded paper thin throughout the night as guest needed ice.
Cons: Being stuck next to an ice machine at 2 am
Cons: Windows face directly into office building just 10ft away. People in the office can see directly into your room
Pros: Had a great time friendly staff great restaurant
Cons: That nobody answered the phone at the restaurant for me to make a reservation fri night
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent. There were many nice dining, shopping and entertainment options very close by. It is also very close to a BART station so getting there from the airport is very easy. San Francisco is a surprisingly easy city to drive in as well, though parking is very expensive.
Cons: Though the bed was very comfortable, it was a bit squeaky. Also, being on Market street means that there is a bit of noise but it's not excessive.
Pros: The Palomar is in a great location, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are nicely decorated. Beds are OK. Restaurant (Bad Habit?) onsite had a nice quality breakfast which was pretty reasonable.
Pros: The service at the San Francisco Palomar was excellent. The front desk staff and doormen deserve top marks. They were helpful in every circumstance from procuring a taxi to giving directions or making suggestions regarding nearby attractions and walking distances. The hotel was clean, the restaurant was superb....fantastic breakfast! And the wait staff was superior. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and look forward to that happening in the near future. Hats off to the Palomar staff!!!!!!!
Pros: The Palomar was clean, quiet and comfortable and in a great location.
Cons: The woman working in the evening checking in guests needs more training. Either that or maybe she was having a bad night.
We are a contemporary hotel with 202 guestrooms and this allows us to offer a very personal experience. Our location in the SOMA District is also home to a variety of shops, businesses, restaurants, and nightlife, as well as walking distance to Chinatown and Union Square. The Powell Street BART station is just around the corner and the trolley cars are right on Market Street. A daily Amenity fee of $22 (plus tax) will be collected at the property.
Pros: First off, let me start by saying if it were just my husband and I the things that bothered me would not have been such a big deal. But travelling with small children changes things. The neighbors were so loud they woke my kids up multiple times. Security came and they did turn off music but continued to yell and keep on until 3am. The pool is tiny and not how it appears in pictures and because there is no one there and it is tucked out of the way from staff when another family showed up and their terror children wrecked shop there was no one there to help. Its $65 to overnight park your car, which is high even for the city. The breakfast buffet was $25 a person, even worse was the continental breakfast was $18 for bagels and coffee whichbis absurd. Just overall over priced for what you get.
Pros: Very friendly and attentive staff at all levels. They went above and beyond for some of our requests. Food at the onsite restaurant was delicious though a bit pricey.
Cons: Location was a bit dirty with a lot of construction and older run down buildings around. Lots of noise from the major road behind hotel came through the closed windows as if they were open. Parking was over the top! $60/day!!
Pros: The staff was very accommodating for my elderly parent's needs.
Pros: The staff, location and facilities.
Pros: Easy walk from the Bart after coming in from SFO. No uphil climb with cases like we had when we stayed in union square. The larger room allowed us to have all 3 kids in the room so no second room. The walk to union square took less than 5 minutes and easy walk to transport to get all over the city. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Breakfast was really expensive. Kids would never have eaten $21 worth of food. There is a Starbucks in the lobby though and lots of breakfast places enroute to union square. The crepe food truck on the corner was delicious. Only other complaint would be that the shower pressure was low when other rooms were using. Why no pressure regulators Marriott?
Pros: Staff was very friendly and accommodating, very quiet rooms and I felt very comfortable using the facilities. The beds were very comfortable and we had ample space. Great stay overall.
Pros: Great location, near water front, business district and tourism venues. Location was accessible via public transportation: Bart, CalTrain King At station approx mile or less away. In house Starbucks Coffee and restaurant. Utilized fitness facility, clean and mix of Dumbbells and aerobic equipment.
Cons: Encountered negative experience with guests on our floor using Marijuana, hallway and elevator on or floor. It reaked of the odor during the Second day or our stay. A bit of loud partying on our floor as well. We notified the desk a few times (they offered to give us another room), but apparently they weren't able to locate the source. Disappointed that errant "Spring Breaker kids" ruined an otherwise pleasant experience. FYI we were traveling for leisure, and had our 8 he old son with us. Not the environment you'd want a child exposed to.
Pros: We were a group of five girls and this hotel stay was great! Room is spacious, beds comfy. No complains.
Cons: Pool is small
Pros: Good Location. Overall everything was alright. Nothing too wonderful, but nothing too critical. The lobby was fancy, but rooms werent wonderful.
Cons: Not the friendliest staff. I found it strange that when I called for a bandaid, the front desk tried to sell one to me. I have been to other hotels, including Courtyard's, where they will just deliver something small like a bandaid to you if you need it.
I even recall needing feminine products and they were sent to me. Considering the price of the hotel, and the parking ($59/night!), you would think a simple request like that would have been fulfilled.
Pros: The breakfast and the lobby were good
Cons: The room and bathroom were not upto the mark for the price.
Pros: It was a perfect location to see the Embarcadero and the ballgame...a good center for traveling around town. It was even a short walk to China Town,
Cons: No breakfast menu...just buffet in the AM...too much food, too high of a price.

Pros: Clean room. Great coffee in room. Staff very friendly
Cons: Cold pool, too much chlorine in jacuzzi, the room doors make a lot of noise when opened and closed.
Cons: Most hotels including other Hilton owned hotels offer a free breakfast. This one does not. So, even though we liked this hotel very much otherwise, we will probably go back to the Embassy. It was surprising that they didn't, though since most all do including other Hilton's! I hope that changes as I am a new Hilton Honors Club Member as well. I was told I had to be a "Gold" member to get this. The only problem, being handicapped, I don't travel enough to ever reach that level, but do go every year to SF and NY with my family. A comp'd breakfast would be great.
Cons: Too noisy - aircrafts taking off constantly.
No real breakfast option.
Pros: Front desk staff were very helpful and attentive with booking taxis, looking into tours, explaining the BART system, accommodating room needs, etc.
Cons: Bistro was understaffed. Lines for breakfast were long and very slow moving. One morning the one worker who had to ring up food, make it and serve it - was so overwhelmed that she forgot to give me my food. I ran out of time to wait for it and when I tried to cancel my order she gave me a hard time about it.
Kids wanted to swim in pool but the water was ice cold and not possible for them to swim in it. This was a huge disappointment.

Pros: Great location! Very close to pier 39. Comfortable bed and pillow.
Cons: Soundproof was rather poor. I can hear people walking by my room and chatting very clearly.
Pros: Location is perfect, rooms are clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly. Great place to stay, unique property with special amenities not typically found in hotels.
Pros: Funky features and a great games room. Loads to do with a family.
Pros: The Game room made our stay extra fun for our whole family.
The beds were firm but very comfortable. Love your fresh decor.
Pros: Stay here for the location. Right across the street from Pier 39, and walking distance to Ghiradelli Square, shops, and reataurants.
Cons: $50 + taxes to park per night. The fire pits were not working during our stay, and they were not apologetic for that. That was one of the main reasons why we decided to stay at this hotel.
Pros: Nice Clean and modern
Cons: Could hear guests above us all night walking around. But the biggest downer was that while they advertise poking is available they don't tell you it's $49 a day
Pros: Games room and outside space
Cons: No restaurant but they offered discounts to other restaurants.
Pros: Loved the modern, nautical decor and fun seating areas and games! All in all an incredible experience!
Cons: Our overall experience was wonderful. There were a couple of minor details that could use checking. The shower drain was slow and the bathroom sink counter was beginning to show signs of rust. Might check into a sealer as we know it's only 4 months old and could tell that the staff was making an effort to keep everything really nice.
Pros: Such a hip fun hotel
Pros: The location (and that's it)
Cons: The hotel was under major construction which we were not aware of in the slightest prior to booking the room. The room lacked more than a single mirror and there was no door on the closet (this wasn't a huge issue, but in a way it served as the icing on the cake for what was a pretty horrible hotel experience). I'm a Club Carlson member, and after that experience I am in no hurry to book a room at another affiliated hotel.
Pros: Wonderful bed and pillows
Cons: 1. Under construction. ...need I say more.
2. A new remodeled room had no bathroom counter space w/ a pedestal sink. Only mirror in bathroom.
Cons: Rooms are nice but very basic. No mirror other than bathroom and no microwave. Definitely not worth $300+ a night.
The Hotel Zephyr is the only waterfront upscale boutique hotel in San Francisco featuring stylish waterfront guest quarters and suites. Located in Fisherman’s Wharf and adjacent to Pier 39 the hotel offers direct views of the stunning San Francisco Bay and elegant cityscapes. Some guests will be treated to full panoramic views including the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz to Fisherman’s Wharf, the Bay Bridge, and other bay area attractions.
Cons: Our room as next to the elevators and could hear them going up and down. We should have requested a new room but we arrived late and had to leave very early the next day to catch our flight.
Pros: Clean, spacious, and well laid out. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Airport shuttle was a disaster. No shock absorbers. Rough ride.
Pros: The hotel was clean & pretty well maintained.
Cons: The staff were not helpful or friendly. The pool was freezing. The wifi was $10 and parking was very expensive. I was hoping for a nice quick pleasant overnight stay. It was quick but not so pleasant.
Pros: Nicest hotel staff I've encountered in a very long time. They were incredibly accommodating to myself, my husband, and my 2 year old daughter. We had an overnight stay for a connecting flight and the hotel is extremely close to the airport with a very quick and frequent airport shuttle bus. We happened to be stuck there with a delayed flight on my daughters 2 year birthday and when the staff found out they gave us an extended check out and treated the birthday girl to pasta and a birthday brownie. It was a really pleasant surprise for a tired and traveling family. Thank you Westin!!!
Pros: Through Expedia I got a great deal to stay at the Westin for 3 nights and it was great! I stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend and even though it was a holiday the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nice shower, awesome beds and it's close to the bay so you can just walk outside for a beautiful veiw and walk. Also has a free shuttle and is a short walk to the BART station!
Pros: Hotel provided shuttles every 15 minutes to the airport. They dropped you off at your gate. Very nice.
Pros: We liked the overall vibe and style.
Cons: We didn't like the inconsistent customer service and the room vibrated from the restaurant's exhaust fan. (We moved to another room.)
Pros: The staff was very helpful and the conference rooms and facilities were very nice and what you would expect from the Westin. Room was clean. Good location
Cons: First thing I was thoroughly disappointed in was the pillows. After traveling I was tired so I immediately fluffed up the pillows to lay down for a short nap. But the pillow cases sounded and felt like paper!!! And 3'outnofnthen4 pillows were so lumpy and flat, not one firm pillow and that combined with uncomfortable pillow cases I woke up with a neck ache. Bed was uncomfortable . And the sound level in our room was so LOUD that we were woken several times by people walking by talking and each room to either left or right we heardbeverybtime the toilet flushed and every conversation or slammed door. Very disappointed in my stay this time. Better soundproofing the rooms..it felt like paper thin walls!
Cons: Parking is $25 Come on. Also, Westin withheld $100. from my card for "incidentals" wi/o notification. The cheesy glasses in the room were carefully encased in cheap plastic wrap with the prepared label
"SPG Members" affixed to the bottom of each glass, alerting the non-SPG Members that they would be charged for unwrapping the household plastic wrap from the glass if they dared to venture to drink from actual glass rather than from the plastic UNlabeled "glass" next to the special SPG one. The tub drained poorly. This hotel is full of itself and not much else in terms of service and ambiance.
Pros: Convenient to airport n hwy
Cons: Tight room
Pros: We liked having a free shuttle to the airport as well as the indoor pool. It was great for our one year old to swim and get some energy out before a cross country flight. Staff were very accommodating and provided us with a crib for the room.
Cons: The hotel restaurant was very expensive, but this is not surprising for San Francisco.
Pros: The location is the only good thing about this hotel
Cons: Customer service was horrible after a long flight

Stay productive with a work desk and High Speed Internet Access, or rejuvenate your body and brain with an amazing night’s sleep in the Heavenly® Bed.
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. I stayed in San Francisco numerous times and for the price this hotel was a great stay/great deal. Would recommend.
Cons: When we arrived the room felt cold to us. We are from a much warmer climate than SF. Turned on the heater and didn't heat up. Called the front desk and was told the heat in the building was on a timer...comes on at 9pm (it's a radiator). They offered to send up a space heater.Within minutes we had a space heater. Problem solved. Great staff and super friendly.
Pros: The hotel was a better standar than I was expecting. The lobby was clean & fairly modern. The room was reasonably large and had good amenities.
Cons: The bathroom was very small & felt a little cramped. There was no free parking but this is to be expected in a city.
Pros: I was impressed by the staff when they offered to valet the car up early, since we had to leave at 5:30am. I found the room very comfortable, but my husband had issues. He could not cool himself down; the ceiling fan had been disabled, the window would not open, and the ac was either difficult or non functioning (probably difficult). He could not sleep and blamed the hardness of the bed. I slept fine and have no complaints
Pros: Chic style
Cons: The heater didn't really do much, the room was cold and it was a pain to get out of the blanket. And, there was so much hollering from the street front.
Pros: Great location and value for the money. Morrocan decor, very clean and comfortable.
Pros: Staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. Price is OK
Cons: Rooms are very small and the neighborhood is not safe.
Cons: (1) Rooms at lower levels are noisy from the people in the street. (2) It had no parking counter to what advertised. They push on you a mandatory valet at approximately $40/day. (3) Internet is free for 20 min a day. Nevertheless, when you use it, at their business center, they have a slow mode option you do not know of. You find out at the check out that the default option, you thought was free for 20 min, is the fast option that cost approximately $1/min. (3) The streets in front of the hotel are full with homeless people who use the sidewalks like sleeping quarters and restrooms. For the rest, it was peachy.
Pros: Super nice and playful front desk staff. I happened to mention it was my boyfriends birthday and the concierge offered to fill the room with balloons and a free bottle of wine! And they set it up as a surprise for when we got back from dinner!
The car service was excellent, the decor was really nice- Indian type theme but clean and chic!
Organic coffee and tea in the room, shampoo conditioner and shower gel in dispensers instead of minis to be more Eco friendly!
I couldn't have been happier with our stay.
Cons: I didn't like the price, but that's to be expected in San Francisco! The building is old so the walls seems paper thin to outside noise, but not really from room to room, so didn't mind the sound of cars and people walking.
Pros: The hotel itself is attractive.
A boutique hotel with a great lobby, warm staff and cute charming rooms.
The bathroom was nice.
Our superior king room had a walk-in closet with two entrances.
The room had a dimmer for the main ceiling light above the bed.
It's a short walk to some nice bars.
Union Square is about a 10 minute walk.
The price is great for the quality of our stay, especially giving the going rates on much of the city.
Cons: The floor of the bathtub was slippery, so I had to be very mindful when showering.
There is however a short rail / bar along the shower wall that came in handy when stepping into the bathtub.
Like many buildings in SF, it's an old building and the walls are a bit thin. You occasionally hear sounds through the walls (i.e. steps, hallway chatter, clunks of objects moving through the hallways), but nothing out of the ordinary.
The historic, 161-room Hotel Carlton offers an international ambience with outstanding guest service. Each of Hotel Carlton's guestrooms offers a soft palette of soothing tones such as light, breezy blue and cashmere cream, punctuated by touches of glowing
Pros: Great breakfast, always had fruit out,
Coffee and cold water.
Cons: Rooms a bit cramped.
Pros: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amazing breakfast. Zero noise, even though great access to highway and airport. Very comfy bed.
Pros: It is located right off the freeway. Construction is currently on the road leading to it but that is not a huge inconvenience. The breakfast was pretty good and was steadily restocked. Room was clean but the door was a bit thin as you could hear people walking by In The hallway.
Cons: Rooms were a bit small.
Pros: Comfortable. Safe location. Good distance from city and easy to get to heart of San Francisco.
Pros: Close to the airport, costco and easy to get to. They have an awesome breakfast.
Cons: They were repaving parking slots, so less parking was available that weekend.
Pros: Location was good, staff cheerful.
Cons: Shower was very dirty after the cleaning people cleaned it (more dirty than it was before). Not sure why.

Pros: Clean comfortable room. Many restaurants nearby. But the best thing for us was the 5 minute easy drive to return the rental car and then get on a plane at SFO Airport.
Cons: Had a water leak in bathroom in the First room they put me in. However, the front desk staff came very quickly to assess and moved us immediately to another room. Very impressed with their friendly, quick response.
Pros: Clean and comfortable .... close to airport ... coffee available...not a good choice for family unless using Bart or needing overnight place for flight....left charger and was sent to
Me quickly ..... very nice
Cons: Shuttle slow and infrequent for pickup at airport... dies not run frequently in morning to airport .... if you miss it you will
Need a cab..... also van not clearly marked .... very confusing
Pros: The facility was spotless.
Cons: Could hear the television in the room next-door.
Pros: This hotel is convenient to the rental car center. I had a flight leaving during morning rush hour so was glad i only had a few blocks to drive.
Behind every great day is a great night at the Comfort Inn and Suites San Francisco Airport West hotel in San Bruno, CA located off of Highway 101 near Cow Palace and San Francisco International Airport. Also, earn rewards including free nights and gift cards with our Choice Privileges Rewards program. Parking accommodations limited to length of stay only. Free parking for vehicles under 7 feet only. Free airport transportation is available 4:15 a.m. to 12 midnight.
Cons: The fire alarm went off at 5:00am and we had to walk down many flights of stairs. When we got to the lobby we were told it was a false alarm. After returning to the room to get some sleep before an international flight, the alarm kept going off every 15 minutes or so for the next 3 hours. This made for a stressful start to our vacation.
Pros: Location, close to SFO.
Cons: Self parking fee. Looks a standard in the Bay Area.
Pros: Quick check in and out, courteous staff, and the price was right.
Cons: However, hotel shuttle took almost 30 minutes to make the full trip between the Hilton and the international terminal. The bedding had some small stains and bathroom was not entirely clean.
Pros: We needed a place to stay near SFO that provided free airport shuttle. I found this hotel on Kayak, and while it was more than I had planned to spend for one night, it was worth it! The bed was so very comfortable - I didn't want to get out of it in the morning! The room was exquisitely appointed and the staff was very accommodating despite there being a very boisterous party off the lobby - which spilled into the lobby at times. The front desk staff handled a group of small children who were taking items from the Market Place behind the desk extremely well! Thank you so much!
Cons: More than I wanted to spend for a hotel room.
Pros: I loved the location to the airport, amazing views, modern vibe and look. Friendly staff! Big tvs!!
Cons: Dinner was expensive in the hotel. For what it was I should have eaten at McDonald's. $100 mistake.
Pros: The hotel feels like it has all of the upgraded tech and decor a geeky guy like myself want out of a hotel. It was clean, close to the airport, and didn't have any noise coming from any highways or streets.
Cons: We arrived late in the evening after a long flight to find our room wasn't ready. (at 12:30am) The front office manager said the floors had been cleaned that day, so it might feel a bit damn in the halls. Feeling tried we said Okay, and got our room key and went right to our room. The first thing we see is carpet fans scattered all over the room with every moveable piece of furniture stacked on our beds. It took another 45min to get our room switched for one that didn't have any fans, and we were questioned like we made the entire thing up. Only issue we had was the miscommunication from the office manager regarding the overnight parking. I was told it would only be $14 and I would have to use the parking machine in the garage. Well, the machine charges $20 for overnight, and I had actually already been charged $14 for parking on my room bill. So i paid for parking twice...We had to leave for the airport or I would have fought it.
Pros: The hotel is very good, it has clean facilities and friendly staff. I recommend the hotel for anyone that needs to stay around the SF airport area.
Cons: I did not like the nightly parking fee. It should be included in the room price.
Pros: Great price and nice accomodations for a decent price. Enjoyed the executive floor and it's amenities which were superb for what we paid. We will stay again if we're ever in need of an SFO airport hotel
Cons: They charged extra fees.
Pros: Good location.
Rooms are clean and well kept.
Cons: My friends left 4-5 messages for me but when I checked, I was told there were no messages left for me. So I didn't get to meet up with my friends. Pretty bad.
Pros: Nice view beds very comfortable.
Pros: We stayed at the executive level and the amenities included with that were nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The lobby is pretty run down and dated. The carpet in the lobby is very worn and dirty. The room itself was extremely clean and modern.

Pros: Loved the view of Alcatraz, the GGBridge to the west, parklike setting all around, marinas within an easy walk, on site cafe (separate from hostel kitchen & breakfast), very nice staff.
Cons: Bathrooms & showers could use an update.
Pros: Great location, great view of Alcatraz and GG Bridge, easy walk to marinas, parks, public transportation and sights, nice cafe on site.
Cons: Fog horn woke us during the night but it's SF in the summer, so fog is inevitable. Bathrooms could use an update.
Pros: Location and quiet
Cons: Mattresses are terrible, rooms are tight, bathrooms are so-so.
HI San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf puts you within a 10-minute drive of Lombard Street and Palace of Fine Arts. For a bite to eat, guests can check out Cafe Franco, which serves American cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, Alcatraz Island and Pier 39 are within a short drive.
