The wifi in the hotel wouldn't connect with my phone. The hotel is located in a very fashionable district, but with limited dining options. Most importantly the hotel DOES NOT provide airport transport, this was the main reason I booked with them. Any hotel can call a taxi to take you to the airport (at your own cost) that should not qualify as airport transport.
Well located near metro stop. Staff were pleasant and helpful
I like the room as well as the bar at reception level I was surprised to have to pay for a breakfast I did not have. But I suppose this had to do with the fact it came as a promotional, 'take it or leave it' package?
the comfortable room no
The Bed was the best we have ever had in Europe. Very Clean and the Design of the rooms, especially the bathroom was fabulous. Simple, Elegant Style. Furnishings on outside terrazzo were fun and comfortable.
Style and comfort of the room, Excellent professionalism and kindness of the staff
Absolutly nothing they dubble charge me for one nights accmodation and would not repay the money i had to call my bank and invovle the police still awayting refound Absolutly nothing they dubble charge me for one nights accmodation and would not repay the money i had to call my bank and invovle the police still awayting refound
I love in this hotel in a prime location in the city center, markets, and particularly among the international fashion shops and the hotel staff friendly good spirit and vitality They freezing of 300 euros from your Credit for the duration of your stay + value of accommodation and breakfast, the Internet and the position of the vehicle is not free and at the same time expensive
excellent professional helpful staff
Beakfast & resceotionist was quite helpful.
Very polite staff
The service and Location was perfect. I expected more though especially that I got equal service in some 3 star hotels in Europe. I got equal service in some 3 star hotels in Europe. Therefore, the value for money is not worthy. I have asked the reception to give me a late check-out for an extra hour and he refused which made us leave the hotel early and stay in the Airport for an extra hour.
Spacious room, great views across the city The bathroom fittings are very 1970s. They could do with putting in better shower units
The hilton standard quality
the place (louise) such nice place.
Service was very good, it was clean and quite luxurious.
High floor, quiet room
The staff is great! They know me well by now and pamper me. The executive lounge was very dirty. Glass tables looked as they had not been cleanec in days! The service was much too slow. First time it was that bad.
room veiw was fantastic panoramic veiw over city was awesome breakfast was super every thing you could want quite a long walk from grand place
Comfortable rooms, view from 15th floor, excellent breakfast Queen delxe plus room - it is not standard for 5 stars, it is 3 or 4. Bathroom was small, TV was old, shower was on the wall, not portable, without massage mode. Baths was for children, not for adults.
The deal was great, staff good, breakfast nice and great that it was included as most Brussels hotels don't include it. The location is good, easy to get to and in a nice area. I would not say that the room we stayed in was 'luxury' or 5 star, although it was comfortable and clean. I think the staff may have been overworked/understaffed during breakfast service as it was difficult to get coffee and refills. The price of minibar items is terrible - 7 euros for a bottle of water (which is the same as a bottle of beer).
No hot water first night
The location is excellent. Close to all transport and shopping centres as well as good restaurants. It is reasonably priced as well. The rooms are not isolated as such is the adjoining room noise disturbing. The breakfast is of poor quality for the price.
Location and Value for money
large room. no hot water during 1 day!
Public parking is next door to the hotel. Breakfast is really good.
The location was excellent. We only stayed 1 night so didn't have time to really assess the hotel facilities
Nice hotel good location staff were responsive There was a problem with the Hot water
staff are friendly and co-operative the rooms are not sound proof and electric connection are not near the bed,
Cheerful pleasant staff
all the staff friendly and fully co-operative the rooms are not sound proof
Well located near a Metro station and in shopping area Hotel must be close to a police station as there was a lot of noise from sirens. Breakfast wasn't included in the price and was expensive for a family of 4.
central, confort, clean, excellent reception specially mrs ASMA EL BORJI ,excellent image of the hotel the bath room is poor in soaps and shampoing..the price of breakfast is high
Room and location Hot breakfast was not hot.
quiet room breakfast too expensive, staff not friendy
Location, just perfect in the nicest Sq. of Brussels, walking distance to al major attractions. Also fee internet which is very usefull
The location of the hotel in a very agreable area of Brussels: antique market on Sunday morning and the Grand Place nearby, not to forget the chocolate shops! Everything was OK.
Hotel has excellent location and the stay was pleasant in general. Only issue is the limited number of parking spaces. There should be a possibility to reserve parking space in advance - on the website, you say the hotel has parking space without specification about the very limited number thereof. In this part of Brussels, it is essential to have a possibility to park a park withou any problems.
free internet access at the entrance floor no room shoe
Relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff, spacious lounge area. Holding area for luggage after checkout until travel time.
Location, it's in the center. Internet service! It should be free of charge because I was there for my company and I had to pay using my own credit card. It should be included in the room invoice.
Wonderful staff, absolutely helpful, made the stay very pleasant The air conditioning in the room was not working. I was lucky because it started to rain and the temperature cooled enough to be comfortable in the room. Everything else was very good.
the location of the hotel and the view of my room! no free internet!
Does not reflect publicity that is make in Internet
Location is good, close to good shopping. City Center is walkable but it's a bit of a hike. Room was spacious, beds were comfortable. I didn't take advantage of breakfast but at 13 euros it looked like a very good value. Despite paying for a room for 3, they provided no sheets for the pull out bed. Similarly, not enough towels and certainly not enough coffee in the morning! Room was too warm despite adjusting the A/C to the maximum setting. Strange sulfur smell coming from the bathroom.
That they helped us booking another hotel. They have two types of rooms. We went with the four of us and two people in our little group got the older room (we all payed the same). The difference between rooms is like night and day. The older rooms are really small, look old and the shower had a smell in it like somebody urinated in it. Of course we went back to the check-in counter and there they said that are rooms were full and it was not possible to give another room. Talking to the woman behind the desk was like talking to a mute. She did not respond to anything. I thought she was looking to help us out and after fifteen minutes of saying nothing she suddenly said "Can I help you?" I Really felt like being in an episode of Fawlty Towers. I can recommend not to book here.
The receptionist was fabulously helpful There was a bit of a lack of welcome in the lounge bar, so we chose to eat elsewhere (the gentleman on reception was extremely helpful in suggesting alternatives!)
Staff very friendly; spacious room, good working space; comfortable beds; good insonorization. cleanliness not spotless; reception often congested.
The king size room was very impressive and the facilities in the room was good. The staff were helpful and friendly. They resolved a billing issue I had in a very positive way. Many of the advertised sports facilities did not work or were broken. This is a shame as it lets the hotel down a little.
Natalie at Recdption was most friendly and helpful. On the Monday morning bread was in very short supply at breakfast. When I requested some bread (all of the baskets being empty at 9.40) I was given two rock-hard scone-type rolls which were an off-putting grey colour. There were no drawers in our bedroom for clothing. The bath was very slippery when showering.
spacious rooms, this time very nice staff (not always in the past), very good breakfast, good restaurant, excellent location iron in room durty at bottom but they gave us a board and good steam iron instead
well run hotel, friendly staff, comfortable quiet room at the back, excellent hot and cold buffet breakfast with large choice at 07.45, breakfast included in week end rate very small wardrobe like a cupboard, air conditioning noise even when switched off !
Spacious rooms, facilities and location Pay for wi-Fi, staff could be a bit more friendly.
The room was very well kept and beautiful even though there was not much of a view. The beds are extremely comfortable - I slept like a baby. They provided a cot for our baby to sleep in with a little teddy bear as a gift to her. They go above and beyond what a client expects which is something I always look for in service anywhere I go. The only thing I can suggest is for the front desk people to be a little friendlier/open. They are in everyway very professional but there should be that extra put in there to make you feel comfortable like a smile. Otherwise in general, everyone there was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would also suggest a bigger elevator.
Room was well equipped No air conditioning in room. Too hot and stuffy during the warm weather. Quite a lot of noise outside.
The rooms were large enough and the elevator reached immediately your floor. The food was good and it was plenty. We had two beds, and even if we tried to unite them, we couldn't sleep very well, because they were on wheels. Also, around the windows there was some mould, because of humidity. It was cold, but only because they didn't tell us at the reception that we could start the radiators.
Location is excellent, close to metro and just off shopping streets. Room was good size. We got a smoking room by mistake, it was a bit strong smell of smoke in the room, even with open window.
location staff, facilities, internet The facilities were poorly up-kept, the internet was extremely slow and the shower did not work. The staff was incredibly rude and they refused to fix the shower or allow us to change rooms the first day. The first few times we brought up the problem, they insinuated that the shower definitely worked, and that we were too incompetent to operate it. The third time, they finally had someone come up to look at the shower, and of course it was broken. Apparently one staff member's confirmation that our shower was broken was not good enough though, and they had to get another staff member to check the shower [which was still obviously broken] again. This whole process took around an hour of the little time we had in Brussels before we were allowed a new room. Furthermore, even after they acknowledged the broken shower, they were not the least bit apologetic for wasting our time and not believing us in the first place. As a last insult, they tried to charge us for items in the minibar that we did not take. Overall, it would have been a nice stay if there weren't any issues that needed staff help, but if something arises and you need the help of the staff, good luck because you'll need it.
NH Stephanie is located in the Saint Gilles area of Brussels and located close to many restaurants, fine retailers and the Louise Metro Stop. Definately a GREAT value for the money. We walked everywhere but the Metro, Uber, and Taxi cabs were available if needed. It would have been nice to have breakfast included as part of the 10 day stay - Breakfast was 17 Euro ($18.00 USD).
Location of the hotel, very practical for my business time. I should have appreciate to get free internet connexion in the room for that price.
Friendliness of staff; size of room and facilities; breakfast; location - near Metro, shops, variety of restaurants, within 15 minutes walk of Brussels City Centre. Not really anything we didn't like, just that we could have done with more than one teabag with the tea and coffee making facilities and, ideally, two armchairs. But in general the hotel provided everything we could have wanted.
location , breakfast, good weekend prices
Amazing staff, great room, clean and modern. Overall great stay. They really helped take care of me, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Excellent. And breakfast was amazing too.
location and price no air conditioning
The rooms were very comfortable We believe that €25 to park the minibus was completel;y unnecessary. We also think that €20 per breakfast was far too high. We went elsewhere for breakfast so you lost out in the end.
Very quiet and clean room, nice bathroom, friendly staff, close to tube and city centre
My stay at Floris Hotel Avenue suited me in all aspects of my trip. From the comfort of my room to the good breakfast provided. The curtains of my room seemed to be dirty, as well the carpet of the corridor specially was run-out. Attention with this details could improve the service quality.
The staff were very friendly and likeable, and when I complained about them photocopying my passport for their records they dealt with me courteously and professionally. The tv in the room they gave me didn't work. They gave me a replacement room which was on the ground floor and there was mould on the wall nearest the toilet and the carpet was unclean. The tv in the new room wasn't great either -- it kept losing the signal every minute or so on BBC1 and 2.
the bedroom and bathroom are very large and the decoration is nice; it is a quiet place, not far from the midi station and the historical center. breakfast is average
The hotel was really good. It was next to the city centre (10 minutes walk). The service was excellent.
clean, quiet, friendly service at reception and breakfast, price had to ask for more shampoo and body gel small supply of soap. pillows were small. Concern over our safety at night prevented us from going outside. A bar would have helped. Facilties for bar exist.
The stuff was friendly to change our room to accordingly.Large room with windows to the street. First room which was supposed to be double was actually a very small single with 120 cm wide bed. There was no hot (only warm) water during the rush-hours.
The rooms were very spacious and the bedding was comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection with various breads, scrambled eggs and bacon. It was very difficult to find a parking space on the hotel's avenue. The nearest public parking is about 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Breakfast room. The breakfast itself was not very good.
very nice room and bathroom, nicely furnished. stairs seems to be under onstruction. mini-fridge in room was not switched on.
Great room, big clean and quiet. Good breakfast. Little bit out from centre, but not a problem if you don't mind a 10/15 min. walk.
location, breakfast, peaceful
Cool lobby, good breakfast and friendly staff. Fifth floor room a bit odd. I had to hike up to my room via a very dark and narrow staircase. Please increase the lighting behind the door!
the hotel is very old, you can hear every movement of other people staying in the hotel which is not nice especially in the morning
This family run hotel was excellent- charming, comfortable and gave a good breakfast. The owners are very pleasant and helpful and the decor is in keeping with the history of the building. The fact that it is a protected building means that some rooms are accessed by a very steep flight of stairs, not a problem for the able-bodied but could be difficult for the less able.
The courtyard view from Room 101
The staff were very helpful (even though very over-worked). The breakfast was also quite good. I wouldn't classify it as a 4 star hotel. The safety deposit box and hair dryer in my room were broken, so I had to change rooms. Then the TV didn't work properly in my second room.
The hotel was friendly and my room was pleasant. The bathroom was clean and modern, central heating worked and windows opened to give fresh air. the room smelled fusty when I arrived (but I could open the windows to air it) and the communal areas were a bit shabby. A lick of patent and new carpets are much needed. My TV didn't work.
very good location; good breakfast; large room; however a bit run-down (curtains), overall positive see above (room maintainance - curtains were partly ripped) but quite clean.
Quiet small hotel in a fairly central zone of the upper part of the city of Brussels. Good connections (tram) to city center and points of interest. In easy walking distance of the Royal Palace and National Museum of Fine Art. It was also very close to the place where the conference I attend was held (Bibliotéque Solvay) The staff were civil and helpful. The in house WiFi internet service (charge Euro 15 per 24 hours) functioned fine. One problem from my point of view (I'm an academic) was that the lighting in the room I was given was not very bright, making it difficult to read and work in the room in the late afternoon/evening. The television decoder was also difficult to operate, and sometimes it kept switching on and off of its own accord. There was no access to BBC World and CNN for some reason. When I arrived, the in room safe did not work (no battery) and the minibar had no contents at all except for an old bottle of milk and a dried out piece of cheese (or something similar). Since I was there for such a short time, I did not bother mentioning these issues to the staff, but I recommend that more attention be given to such details before guests arrive.
availability of the staff
niks I booked a room with a flatscreen tv , een bank , coffie en tea facilities but it was totally not there . I asked the front desk where I can park the car but he didn't told me that I need to pay .
Easy check in, modern decor, close to grand place and walking distance to train/bus station No
Moderately good location, clean. Some of the staff were snooty. No generosity. Everything had a cost to it, except for internet.
Room facilities , near city center , very clean
The breakfast is abolutely first class! The hotel is located very well for a city sightseeing. The staff was not very courteous. The "normal" prices (without any special offers) are far too high.
Very professional hotel staff - helpful, nice, good english. Comfortable beds, nice view from the window, good location.
Excellent hotel all round
The style of the hotel and the comfort of my room. Classic retro look, breakfast was very good in variety and delicatessens. I would go again.
The staff was helpful and professional.
Location, attentive staff Extremely poor sound-proofing, room cleanliness needs improving
The location is great, and the atmosphere is great too. Staff was a little cranky. World of difference compared to Manos Premier down the street.
Upon arrival we were told that our suite which we reserved was a bit smelly. They offered us a standard room at a lower rate or could move to their 5-star sister hotel 200 m down the road which we did. We got their a nice suite. Staff arranged the transfer of our luggage between the 2 hotels.
Perfectly clean room. Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Well situated to museums, shopping and restaurants. Everything was just lovely.
The locaton is quiet yet is close to the metro system and Gare Midi. Good restaurants within walking distance and the centre of Brussels is only 20 minutes walk away on foot. Efficient service and comfortable room.
Some of the fixtures and fitings are worn out and reauie replacing
Friendly and helpfull staff
Quiet rooms on the inner courtyard
Friendly staff. Nicely made up babybed was directly brought. Good location! (near daily market on Parvis de Saint-Gilles) Breakfast, no fresh fruit, bad coffee and croissants...
Very friendly but unobtrusive. Interesting design. Nice breakfast.
The lovely breakfast, incredibly comfortable bathtub and bed and very friendly staff!
Wonderful hotel - wonderful service. Couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended A+++++++++
this place is excellent, an absolute gem. It is stylish and individual and the owner is commited to excellent service and a comfortable stay.
It's a very classy Bed and Breakfast. Great atmosphere, fantastic design, perfect place for a romantic getaway. The location is not perfect, but you can catch the metro or tram and get to the centre in 15 minutes. Best to avoid the morning rush-hour though
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. The location is walking distance from the center of Brussels, and very near a metro station and the Brussels Midi rail station. Trouble finding the hotel on first arrival.
design good towel service poor
Absolutely amazing hotel. Big room, very clean and great staff.
Metro 60 meters away. Very nice and confortable rooms. Very familiar and cozy. The room was not cleaned during my staying (2 days), what was not a problem.
Very nice small boutique hotel with fine decorations and modern equipment in a classical Brussels building. Breakfast rather modest. Bathroom with washing tables, bath tub and shower not really separated from sleeping room (no doors). This could cause a certain feeling for lack of privacy if travelling in company. WC however in a separate room.
The bed was comfortable. The room was really small and our bed was only 140 cm wide. Actually there was nothing else in the room than the bed. In Friday night there was a jazz club in a restaurant downstairs which caused lot of noise during the night.
Loved the decor, the coziness, the restaurant and bar downstairs. The location was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very small!
Friendly and helpful staff and location Internet service was weak
