Really inexpensive, very simple, and right in the city centre It's almost too basic (just a bed, small bedside table, and a small bathroom) - that's all you need if you're not planning on being in the room much, but make sure your expectations aren't too high
we were robbed in prague. the hotel manager helped us get a new credit card. they are just great<č tomas, vivien, richard, and the manager whose name i forget. room a bit small. great value tho, and so very clean
People were great, rooms clean and no extra paperwork or botherin with formalities Walls are quite thin so u can hear people from other rooms
Good hotel if you're on a budget but don't want to share a bath in a dormitory. It was clean and the staff was helpfull and polite. Room was quite small, wish it would say on the website that you have to pay extra for the TV or for cleaning the room or fresh towels.

clean, quiet orange colour little dominating
Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location. As we were only staying for 3 nights, we thought this budget option would be a good idea. However, we were shocked at just how basic and uncomfortable the room actually was when we arrived. Considering it was a double room, the bed was pushed up against the wall and to be honest, felt like a double bed squeezed into a single room. This we could cope with, but the fact that there was nowhere to hang our clothes, not even a table or chair to place them or our personal belongings on was poor. I appreciate that this was a 'budget' hotel, but having to put our clothes on a cold, uncarpeted and sometimes wet floor was very unsatisfactory. Regardless of price, I do not consider having somewhere to hang my clothes a luxury and therefore was left feeling dissapointed and annoyed. I was also quite dismayed that room service was an extra we would have to pay for if required. Considering how little there was to clean in the room, paying extra for this service seemed unfair. It's a shame because the staff in the hotel were great. It's just a pity the room didn't deliver as well as they did.
EasyHotel Budapest was an interesting place to stay, and after feeling like we overpaid for accommodation in other cities, we were happy with the rate and what we got for our money. Going into the hotel, we already had knowledge of the budget aspect of the company so we were prepared when we were told that we would have to pay for any extras - like a tv remote or the internet. The staff at this hotel was extremely helpful, especially the girl who checked us in late on a Sunday night. The location was excellent for transport and within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. The bed was one of the most comfortable during our weeks of traveling and we weren't woken up by outside street noise, which was great. Knowing what to expect with the 'Easy' brand, we were still surprised to see that there was nowhere to really hang clothes or drawers to put things in. On the positive side, this made packing extremely simple and there was no fear of leaving something behind under the bed or in the back of a cabinet. We didn't bother to pay for renting the tv remote and found that it wasn't really necessary. If we were staying longer than the 2 nights we were there, then perhaps we would have grudgingly done this.
The room was clean and the reception staff were helpful. The circular stairway with the glass bricks was nice and bright.
Excellent staff, very helping people and they speak very good English I would prefer to have at least one chair in the room and storage closet
All the staff spoke very good English, which was more than I had expected. None really; we received no clean towels during our stay, but we didn't ask for them either! If we had I'm sure they would have been provided.
The location is excellent being central and literally right next to the metro station and across the street from the trams. There are also a few cheap restaurants nearby. The staff was very kind. Having a good location also meant a lot of noise. There are a few bars down a side street and being next to the metro means you will hear a lot of drunk and loud people during the night.
Roomy, with modern furniture and bathroom, one flight up by elevator. Quiet with window looking out at classic courtyard. TV,airconditioner, safe, large closet. Very helpful and pleasant reception person.. I was given keys and code number for entry, 10 steps from Metro exit. No table and chair or luggage bench, although there is room and wall plugs installed
I really liked this hotel. The location was excellent and the staff was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and it was exactly as shown on their web page. I recommend it. There was no mini-fridge in the room. If it is not possible for each room to have one, it should be a fridge at the reception.
Rooms are clean and the hotel is close to the centre, underground just few steps away The receptionist tried to double-cross us when we first came by saying that we will stay in their other building and the other employee will come to pick us up. The other lady came and took us to the other building where we realised that we are not staying in Centroom House but in Mandragora hotel! We did not want to stay in Mandragora and we returned to Centroom House where the first lady gave us finaly the room we book and said that Mandragora is their partner hotel. So be careful, yuo might get something you did not pay for.
It was close to the metro station It is not a hotel there are some rooms around a courtyard in a building, the other floors of the building are apartments for local people. The elevator and main entrance of the building are horrible. I cannot be a *** Hotel
Receptionist is friendly and helpful
near metro and train station noise in the street
The staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel was very good if you want to be close to Keleti train station. Also it has very good price. My room it has not such a good sound isolation from the street trafic.
the large looby where you can organize meetings, nice neighbounhood room and bathroom definetly not 4 stars, the walls were so poor acoustic that you could hear the other guests, 8% commission on exchange rate, small selection at breakfast
the noise of the air-conditioner, the dropping tab, the parking on the roof: difficult to reach and expensive
Clean hotel. pleasant staff
ıf you have a car it is not far from the citycenter, if you don't it's problem. no shampoo and no soap.
Clean, friendly staff , goog breakfast
clean, easy too find, good food and restaurants, a lot of facilities, but the most, there is fantastic stuff !
Value for money and secured parking area. No.
Lunch was very good conference rooms well organised Breakfast buffet was poor, hot food was cold and there was little fresh fruit etc. Rooms are rather tired looking, heating is outdated and lacks control in the room.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, range and quality of breakfast, location of hotel and convenience of transport links. Noisy guests on bus tours leaving early in the morning - more consideration of others would be good.
Pleasant, convenient location for my business meeting, spacious rooms, excellent massage
modern room, gym, swimmingpool (although small), sauna, computers, 2, in the lobby (although it was difficult to get some time on them) turkish bath had a distinct smell. Distance to Pest-part of town more than 35 minutes.
The kindness of the staff
There was plenty of hot water and the bathroom facilities were fine but there was no place to hang laundry for drying. Breakfast was fine and convenient. The location was excellent for my purposes.
general staff and service good The air conditioning and ventilation system was not working, consequently rooms were hot and stuffy. When staff was asked they said the system was undergoing upgrading and were most unhelpful. If they knew the system was not working they should inform the guests and bookings.com in advance so that alternatives could be considered. ll in all 5 nights without aircon and little sleep
The hotel is in a very good location, its a clean place and the personel that works there are very helpful. Awful experience with the check-in procedure, at least when you have already booked/paid online in Booking.com, because I was requested to pay again the amount as a guarantee and I was told that once I check-out and everything is fine, that guarantee will be cancelled, which is unacceptable because I had already paid online and it should be more than enough as a guarantee for my stay. And the worse is that still until now, 2 weeks after my visit in Novotel, according to my banker, my money are still pending and out of my Visa account.Another negative point is the very expensive breakfast, plus 17e per person and the extremely uncomfortable beds to a point that you can not sleep, especially when you suffer with back problems.
It has good location. The staff is very rude and they try to cheat you by ordering for you hotel taxi which far more expensive than any other local taxi company.
Wireless Internet. Great Fitness center and indoor pool
Nice hotel with clean rooms and kind staff hospitality. Japanese breakfast menu is something I can recommend to Asian visitors. Nothing
rooms large. Staff good. Restaurant outstanding.
The fitness room is very interesting, the machines are very good and well selected. The internet is free. the food is good. There is a sports hall next to the hotel. you can play squash, go to the swimming pool or use the gigantic fitness area. The water in the swimmining pool is too cold!
Near to the metro station and to the heart of the city a bit noise at midnight due to cars and chattering outside
A typical IBIS hotel, clean and comfortable.
Nothing to regret, but the awful noisy night I wasn't able to sleep about. The noise of the electric equipments in the back yard of the hotel, that was awful!
air conditioning no garbage basket in the room
In the city centre Nearbu Metro, tram and bus station
The hotel it's ok, location good for the prices requested, the rooms are clean. If you want to visit the city and just to have a place to sleep, it is ok. The breakfast was not verry good and verry overrated (8 euro)
Room was great. The hotel location is very close to subway that made us easy to wander around.
Position of the hotel, central part of the city, - this is only one thing what is positive in this hotel Non-friendly recepcionists!!! There is no tea pot or any cofee maker in the room, although the hotel has a certificate of European Hospitality. Shower room - you can not open the door in and out without a force. No hear-dryer, no shampor/conditioner - only liwuid soap od low quality. Also, the receptionist refused to bring to the roon a cofee, tea that we aked as a room service. I would never stay in this hotel again.
the hotel was in the centre so the price was really worth it... the room was really nice and clean the beds were to soft, the staff didnt speak good english and there was no possibility to control the aircondition
It's central location. There were no tea making facilities in the room.
Modern stylish hotel in very good location.
Location, Cleanliness Double room should have one big bed but instead there are two singles which keep moving apart from the middle. Very irritating!!!
excellent location,but noisy sometimes noisy,
The room was quite nice and clean, not far from tram and subway stations, and also close to Danube and the congress building. The service of the breakfast could be better.
The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The guests seemed to be a mix of business people and tourists. We had a nice view of the plaza of the theater across the street.
Modern space, good location, helpfull staff, pleasant atmosphere. small, few facilities
Friendly staff, clean rooms, cheap
the location and parking facility
it is a good hotel, very good value for money, great breakfast the room was quiet, but there was a constant noise for a machine on the hotel, all the time
- could not make long distance calls (we were told we could when we purchased the stay) - Room service: we were told that the full menu was available until 10pm, but it was not. On top of that, not even the full 24 hour menu was available (only two options were available due to lack of a chef apparently) - TV did not have any movie rental options (or english options) - wake up call was an HOUR late (could have resulted in a missed flight)
the room was wonderfull, no complaints of any kind everything was ok
The location of the hotel was fantastic, in the heart of the beautiful Castle District and with great views of the Danube and Pest. The staff (all spoke English) were excellent and very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone.
Nice location in the castle area, breakfast is good, service is OK. Internet access wifi very expensive.
Wonderful location to reach all the sights of Buda by foot. Pest just a short bus ride away. Kettle and small fridge in the room was nice for a quick and very affordable breakfast (grocery just a 2 minute walk away). Comfortable beds and large room. Quick elevators:) Nice gym.
The view is unique!! The breakfast was not at high level as per Hilton reputation
The location was excellent. The professional attendance by the staff was excellent.
The quality of the room and breakfast. The location is fantastic. No
clean room, great location near the castle, normal buffet breakfast Not all rooms were renovated
Location is excelent; good services / facilities Not enought chairs / tables for breakfast; they added on my bill something from minibar; old furniture in my room
Great View Expensive Internet fee
Staff were attentive and helpful. Noise from major works at Church next door.
The room was clean, and non-smoking really means a non-smoking room.
Internet was lightning speed. Food in the restaurant was delicious and not expensive. Morning breakfast was sumptuous. Final day, we had to leave early morning before the breakfast was served. Yet the Hotel staff had arranged a packed breakfast for us. That was very thoughtful. The staff is very helpful. At the beginning I did not know the tipping culture in Hungary. The staff curteously explained everything to me :) They have currency exchange with a good rate. Also, city tourist info is available with them. All in all I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
After we managed to get the room we booked [it took 2 days before we were moved to the correct type of room], the room was good. if you get an outside room the noise of the trains makes sleeping almost impossible. if you have an outside room without a air conditioner it is totally impossible to sleep, because the noise of the trains and traffic is terrible and if you close the window the heat is unbearable!
Very clean and comfortable rooms, pleasant people.
hotel staff (very friendly) and restaurant services. noise; room furniture; interior design and ambience (room and lobby)
The personel is very friendly and helpfull, very service minded. No room service
Staff attitude. Good restaurant and really nice breakfast. Rooms okay. A noisy area (trafic).
good location, large and very clean room, all facilities, mini kitchen, staff friendly, good and diversified breakfast, the noise from the street, but we wanted a central location and in fact we slept excellently in the very comfortable matrimonial bed
everything was perfect, awesome staff Problem with parking, noise from the street
The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. It could have been cleaner and the decor is a bit old-fashioned. The carpet had stains, there was some mold in the bathroom.
hotel location, very close to railwail station; breakfast very nice.
Close to the Center
Location, price, staff, communication. Definetely will stay again at City Hotel next time when visiting Budapest. -
The Hotel is of good ballance between price and quality. Not enough light in the room. Very dark
Excellent choice of breakfast. Very good location and value for money. Problem with AC during our stay.
taff is very friendly. The girl at the desk, her name is Katalin, very prof. Best location. Nice clean room.
The hotel is located in very good place: on the one hand is center of the city (10 minutes walking to Parliament, 10 minutes to Margarete Bridge and plus 15 minutes to bath which is not for tourists but for citizens), on the other hand trade center West End for good shopping. The hotel is very clean. It is located in old building. Equipment in our room was very poor: no remote control for TV, no tea spot or tea cups, only several glasses.
the money spent there was worth every penny! there was a single problem - they have a room on top of a turkish restaurant - and it kept on smelling like turkish food all the time in the room.
Staff was helpful and very friendly. The hotel is in a great place and near public transportation.
Spacious rooms, nice location Breakfast was not up to five star standards
It's the second time we've stayed there in a short while. As we went to Croatia by car, we stopped in Budapest going and coming back. After the first experience in the hotel, we wanted to return. We booked a larger suite (silver) and when we got there they upgraded us to a gold suite free of charge. That's an upgrade from a 200 euro room to a 500 euro room. I give it an A+ on all counts. Excellent
The surrounding I would suggest that the owners use the interior court as part of the restaurant. To have breakfast there would be wonderful !
All things werw excellent especialy enterier and stuff No
The fact that the hotel room had a kitchenette allowing us to return to the hotel at lunch time to make sandwiches and have a rest before continuing with sightseeing and also being able to make a hot drink before going to bed. The location was simply superb - convenient for exploring Budapest with good transport links but in a virtually pedestrianised area so there was no traffic noise. A wonderful calm oasis for a city break. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The meal in the hotel restaurant was excellent but took a long time to arrive but they were very busy! The breakfast menu was not as varied as expected for a five star hotel but if you had a special request the staff obliged. The hotel decor was tasteful and elegant but a comfy sofa to relax upon would have been welcome.
Perfect stay on Budapest's castle mountain. Excellent location, beautifully furnitured huge roomes, nice and very helpful personal, freshly made breakfast
spacious room with classic furnitures, complimentary water and wine No elevator
We liked everything. A true 5 star experience. Extremely clean rooms, spacios, designer body lotions and shampoo in the bathroom, location is right in the old city, next to a castle, free parking - which is something rare in Budapest, the staff were extremely accomodating and the restaurant was a palate's delight. Breakfast was included - a la carte ... The only thing I can think could be improved is... Maybe add bath robes. They were missing for some reason...
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, clean and luxurious. The included breakfast was one of the better we had during our 4 week holiday throughout Europe. We also appreciated that the hotel provided free internet. The hotel was in a lovely area, close to many historical sites and attractions. The shower head would have been more convenient for us had it been wall mounted. A further area for development would be to install wireless internet, rather than cable.
Heated bathroom floor. Historical location. Quiet. Spacious rooms. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast was limited. Wireless was weak in room 17. No ability to shower, large tub with hand held shower extension but no curtain, difficult to not spray the entire room.
Friendly, helpful staff, which made any problems disappear very quickly. Nice room and very comfortable beds. Room service was terribly expensive. Rooms with a view on a street are very noisy; ask for one overlooking a garden.
spacesy room, very clean, excellent bathroom, good service, garage in the basement poor lobby and receptin desk, allways a lot of people waitig for keys or pay a bill
the room and the parking. It was clean
Nice room and polite staff. Services and higiene were at a good level. Wireless Internet access is a clear plus for this hotel. The water outflow from the bathtube was almost blocked. No repair action took place even after announcing this at the hotel desk.
the staff was friendly and helpfull
I would like to express my satisfaction.thank you
The surroundings of the hotel
The internet connection was perfect. the personell is quite pollite and the room was clean Rooms are very small. I stay there for 2 days and a half. they charged me the half with 46 euros which is not actually the half of the price. neither the staying time was half a day. It was just an extention for 8 hours. The breacfast could be slightly better for 15 euros/day
close to public transportation, located in nice neighbourhood It was very noisy. I could not rest or sleep well. Slamming of doors, a lot of transit of guest in front of my room door, very noisy passage ways. No room service.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
central location, good quality no tea/cofee making facilities in the room and no bath robes
This hotel was in the most perfect location! The Xmas market was right behind the hotel, the river and Chain bridge were about 2-3 blocks away, and the famous shopping street, Vaci uti was 1 block away. The rooms were so comfortable, and they provided slippers and plush bathrobes. The perfumed smell in the lobby and hallways was a bit overwhelming (luckily it did not permeate the rooms or it would have been a problem). They kept playing an Ad for their hotel on the TV which I found sexist and offensive (showing their maid taking a bubble bath and dressing in a lace thong before coming to work at the Kempinski hotel chain (what is that all about?).
Fabulous Hotel. Staff extremely helpful. Rooms spotless. In an excellent location 5 minutes walk from the Opera House, 5 minutes to main shopping area. We got excellent value as we were staying for more than 4 nights. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going for a break to the beautiful city of Budapest. It was very expensive for drinks or to eat in but this did not cause a problem as it is so central and there is a huge choice right outside your door.
loction, comfort, view, value for money Queen size rather than king siza mattress in superior room
location, size of room, folks at front desk were very helpful
lovely helpfull staff,nice live music.
Given a free upgrade with great views. Fantastic location too.
All was excellent!
Staff very helpful. good sized room and value for money on the special deal we had Breakfast expensive
I have been planning to stay in Budapest for over a year now. It was really important to me that the hotel has an excellent location and I preferred the spa experience over the view of the Danube. However... Only my first day was I able to use the sauna. I was the one who had to discover that it is broken and over heating. I had a burn mark from the previous day and the next morning I discovered that the thermo meter is not working any more it was extremely hot in there and since they could not fix the problem they had to shut it down for the rest of my stay... I was disappointed since that was the reason I booked Kempinski...
The hotel is very nicely situated. The room (normal double) was pleasantly furnished (colours, materials) and spacious. Especially bathroom was both rational and impressive. The overall impression and experience was very pleasant. At the same time, the room begins to show minor marks of ageing; small stains here and there, desk somewhat battered. Tv set small/old fashioned and did not work fully all the time. The personnel is professional and helpful - yet more discreet than friendly. The fitness center was modestly equipped and small; hooks or lockers for bathrobe/towel would also be useful.
We were looking for a boutique hotel off the beaten track but in retrospect should have stayed at the Four Seasons or Intercon where the levels of service are as you would expect. There is no real concierge service at this hotel and the staff at the desk struggled to make recommendations and bookings. House keeping seemed to be annoyed to receive requests and then delivered the wrong items. Generally the service was very poor including cleaning of the room - used glasses were left in our room for 3 days until we specifically requested they be removed. In summary - the only plus point is the location as it is near to St Stephens Basilica but I would strongly recommend you stay at one of the better known hotels near to the Chain Bridge.
Room and spa with pools area. Lobby was also nice and warm Location. Also I did not understood the prices in Lotos bar. We had drink that should be about 50-60 Euro and they charged 100. Some hidden cost seems to be.
the bed was very comfortable no balcony and not able to open windows any better
The staff were tremendous and catered for your every need, the experience of executive club was second to none and well worth the little bit extra you pay
nice executive rooms; nice separate breakfast for executive room customers + lounge; good internet connection; shuttle bus some more active "hellos" and "good mornings" in the breakfast wouldn't do any harm (=some of the staff)
The spa facilities and the general running of the place. The air con could not be turned off and this lead to a perminant sore throat/ cold, I complained and was offered another room, but found that room had the same problem, this I realised was a function of the main hotel AC. The cost of items of food and drinks in the room bar was in my opinion excessive for example, a 500ml bottle of water was charged at approx £2.34, the cost for the same bottle outside of the hotel was approx.£0.25p. Whilst accepting that the hotel will add a margin, approx 1000% seems a little high.
The spa pools were very good Very expensive breakfast
all the hotel facilities, staff, rooms were excellent. Its an international hotel therefore the lobbies are always busy with in tours coming and going. We arrived by car and the hotel is placed a long way out, which might make it difficult to find. We soon found our bearings and with free public transport for over 65s and an excellent restaurant round the corner it turned out to be a very good choice
Use of the pool I was afraid of water when I arrived was swimming before I left, the three different pools made this possible
very helpful staff. There were no executive rooms left so I was up-graded to the apartment! not close to city centre. You must reach it by car or taxi
Very helpful staff. Good facilities. The hotel is too far from the city centre, though once mastered the public transport is useful and cheap.
