Cons: I was not able to drop off at another location in Burlington (airport) without incurring a $200 fee.
The car I requested was not available so I received an upgrade which was a nice suv however I chose an economy car based on its size and gas mileage both of which were completely different with the car I received.

Great customer service
Pros: Lizzie was absolutely great. I had to wait for 45 minutes at the Enterprise place because of problems with my card and Lizzie took me for coffee. When I dropped the car back off the team drove me to the airport. Fab service

Excellent local staff and service
Pros: Genuinely friendly and helpful local staff. They allowed me to extend my rental another day as same daily rate. I would absolutely, positively use this location again.

Pros: Enterprise on 1189 Williston are very courteous and professional. I used them 3 times this season and it was always a good experience.
Cons: I wasn't sure if the rental company's damage waiver was necessary, so I paid it the first 2 rentals. Then I spoke to my VISA customer service and they said they would cover any damage if I paid with VISA and turned down the rental company insurance, so the next rental I did that.

Pros: Personnel was very friendly. We were able to exchange our car.
Cons: Car wasn't cleaned before we took it. It smelled like cigarette smoke. The maintenance light came on for the oil and filter.

Nothing went wrong!
Pros: It was a nice, clean new car. They had the one I reserved and didn't try to upsell me. They were efficient, prompt, and professional at the counter.
Cons: Although this rental company is inexpensive relative to the local competition, the price still seems a little high to me. But that's the only mild complaint I had this trip.

Pros: Car had all the bells and whistles which made for an easy and enjoyable trip.
Cons: Car had over 30,000 miles on it, and the tires were pretty close to bald, would not have been a good situation if i had run into ice or snow, did hydroplane some during a rain storm.
Pros: The whole thing Especially the comfort of the ride.

Pros: It was a fast, friendly pick-up, and the rental associate was immensely personable - a nice change from the curt interactions I've had elsewhere.
Cons: Chevy Spark + windy highway = how did I not blow off the road? Definitely know what car I won't be buying or recommending for everyday use. I wish I'd known how it drove before choosing the cheaper option - good for around town, but not higher speed trips... Still, better than taking a two hour bus ride.

Cons: Being not familiar with the area I apparently did not rent from the kiosk at the airport but somewhere off site. The office would not stay open the extra five minutes for me to get there and the airport office would not honor the reservation price and instead of the reserved price of $249.00 offered to rent me a comparable vehicle at $605.00.

Cons: When I got there the door was locked with a note saying they had to step out. Had to wait for someone to arrive. about 15 minutes.

Cons: The car was old as it pertains to technology features. No USB port to charge my phone. The AUX port didn't work half of the time; the other half of the time it would make a loud long beeping sound.

Pros: The price was good.
Cons: No fault of Hertz- the defrost did not work in the Versa, and the heat barely worked at all. It was cold!!
Also, I had been told I could get a ride after drop off, however, only one guy on duty on Saturday so no-one could.
I wish I had known about Saturday ahead of time.
The manager at the Shelburne Rd is a bit gruff, the other staff were friendly.

Ended up canceling
Cons: Made reservation for 3 days through Kayak for what I thought was a reasonable price. Then I found out that the rental location was a few miles from the airport. Called Hertz to see if I could change the reservation to pick up the car at the airport. I got a representative that is "not local," with an accent that was hard to understand, who was not very helpful. He quoted a price for airport pickup that was 3 times the original reserved price - for the difference of a few miles? I thought that was unreasonable and cancelled. I ended up using another rental company whose price for airport pickup was only $20 more than Hertz's original off site price.

Great Customer Service
Pros: We rented a vehicle for a cross country family trip. I explained to the customer service person that I had picked an unlimited miles package because we would be putting 7000 miles on the car. The car was serviced and ready at pick up. It was everything we needed for the trip.
Upon return the desk was amazingly accommodating.

Pros: After an initial mess up at the airport, I had to take Uber to another Hertz facility. The agent at this second facility was exceptional nice, caring, and accommodating. He redeemed my experience!
Cons: The car I got did not have cruise control. I consider that a vital way to keep my speed under control when traveling through Vermont's numerous speed trap areas.
Pros: Had to change my reservation twice and everyone I talked to was super helpful.

Cons: Seems that certain functions like remote start and adjusting the height of tailgate were not working on the car. Not sure if these were disabled or were just out of service, but following online instructions from the vehicle manufacturer did not solve the problem.

Cons: After picking up the car I got on the highway and the tire pressure light went on. I had to get off, turn around and drive back to the Avis rental agency. No one was there, the office was wide open and a car was running in the open lot. I called the phone number on my reservation which went to the airport location, she put me on hold while contacting them. I was informed that they left to drop off/pick up cars at the airport and would be back within 15 minutes. When they arrived they put air in the tires and I asked them to top off the gas as it was not my fault that I had to turn around, they did and apologized. Shouldn't they have checked all the gages first? What if I had to pull off the highway and find a service station half way home into my 5 hour drive? I also wasn't given any instruction about the car so when I stopped at a gas station and tried to start the car back up I couldn't and had to call the Avis number again for instruction on starting the car and another call on where the gas lock was as well. Very frustrating when you're traveling having to keep stopping to call.

Pros: I was very happy with the price because I reserved online via a 3rd party. However, I would not have wanted to pay the price that was offered at the counter. Overall, I got great service and for once I did not feel like I was dealing with a used car salesman. Every rental car company I've used in the past has tried to convince me to upgrade and when I insisted I didn't want to, they finally upgrade me anyhow because they have no choice! So sleazy! Anyhow, didnt' deal with that w/ Alamo. Thank you!
Cons: It would be helpful to have someone in the garage readily available (appreciated that in Boston when i returned the car). I had a couple questions about the car and had to walk to the terminal and then back to the garage again to meet someone there. It's not the first time in Burlington that I wished there was someone there. I had a similar problem when returning a car there.
