Pros: The staff was friendly and knowledgeable for what we needed to know. The room was large and it was suitable to our needs, it included a mini frig and microwave. The place was busy and the price was good for our budget. Breakfast was good, no fruit but yogurt was an option besides biscuits and gravy. They were good from what we understood from other guests.
Cons: We were a little unsure about a stain on the bathroom rug and side of the shower curtain. They appeared to be set in stains, (not sure why you would use them) Everything else seemed clean so it was a bit weird. We just opted not to use the rug as we had extra towels.

Cons: Floor boards throughout the entire room. The air conditioning was not on when we arrived at 2am so the room was cold. Wife was not happy. I understand saving money- I like too as well- but we called to tell the hotel our flight was delayed and our new arrival time. It would have been nice to have the heat on before we arrived.

When you stay at WoodSpring Suites Council Bluffs in Council Bluffs, you'll be in the business district, within a 5-minute drive of Horseshoe Council Bluffs and CHI Health Center Omaha. Featured amenities include express check-out, laundry facilities, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, no carpet, excellent value for the money.
Cons: I wish they had blackout curtains in the room, it would provide more privacy, and allow guests to sleep in.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff, when they were there, were surprisingly very nice and attentive. The price is also cheap (but not cheap enough for what you're getting). Pet friendly without an extra charge.
Cons: DO NOT BOOK WITH CHILDREN, OR IF OTHER OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE. There was not enough staff available, and there's no one manning the desk from 10pm-7am, which is when most of the crime takes place and when people would like to check in/out. I'd like to say that the staff really are nice, but there's just not enough of them so the front desk service takes a very long time (upwards of 30 mins) to get to you. They fired the cleaning staff, so you're responsible for taking your towels down and taking out your trash/cleaning your room/sheets. There's an exuberant amount of drugs going on, and guests there (especially during the times when there are no front desk staff) would brazenly smoke marijuana in the parking lot, in the hallways, and in the elevator (which is very old, very slow, and has no cameras). The place, even in non smoking rooms, has an aroma of marijuana. I'm an 18 year old, 5'11" female rugby player who can bench 240 and even I would not leave my hotel room at night. One night I was coming back to my hotel room and a man followed me off the elevator (where he was making lewd comments directed towards me) and tried to enter my hotel room. Luckily I was able to slam the door, lock it twice, and alert my mother, but others might not be as lucky. If you go out at night, especially between the hours of 11pm-midnight (my mother and I called it the Witching Hour), there's at least two different groups of people in the back of the building doing/dealing drugs. People would even do it outside as early as 9am in the morning. As we were getting ready to check out, at 9am, we saw a couple outside of our window smoking marijuana, but the man rolled their joint ON OUR CAR. There's also scantily clad women waiting for men to pick them up, so prostitution isn't out of the question at this hotel. Men will also follow you and catcall you just from the time you leave the door and enter your car. Not a safe place for a single female, or anyone else. The bathrooms in the rooms are actually very nice, and pretty clean (our shower curtain had mud on it, but otherwise a very clean bathroom). The shower was very nice, I never had a cold shower. The toilets flushed well, and the tap water was drinkable. You have to take your towels downstairs to exchange them for new ones, which is a hassle. Bad laundry facilities and no pool/workout area. The kitchen was pretty nice if you don't want to cook. The refrigerator was large and the microwave worked well, but if you used the two burners your room, and the hallway, would smell like gas/burning. We didn't use the burners, so it wasn't a problem for us. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, which made it difficult to sleep at night. The beds here actually caused a sharp pain in between my shoulder blades. Adding on the fact that there was CONSTANT pounding from the people above us and we could hear the man in the room next to us yelling at just about anything, no sleep here. Do not book.

3.0 Mediocre
Cons: It smelled bad and was very dirty
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The property did have smoking rooms available and the girl that checked us in was extremely helpful and very friendly.
Cons: Nothing it was great for the price.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Price was right location was good and staff were attentive..
Cons: Beds were hard everything's bolted down and run down looking and pool was closed. Staff were friendly though.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: if you're traveling on the cheap and all you need is a bed and a shower, you'll get that here. You won't get much else. No wi-fi, limited tv, and not much in amenities. You get what you pay for and this fits the bill for cheapskates.
Cons: the building is old and need of repair. After checking out the room and going for something to eat, I returned to find the door to my room hadn't fully closed and latched behind me when I'd left. It opened with just a gentle push and no key. Had someone been in there? I'll never know, and fortunately, none of my personal belongings were in there yet at the time. Paper thin walls and echoes in the halls. Conversations from three rooms away are easily heard.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: Everything. There was no fridge the whole motel smelled like an animal shelter. The beds were itchy couldn't even sleep with their blankets. The pool stunk. It was disgusting the bathroom tub had black stuff around it. This was the worst trip.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Motel 6 is always a go to for us. They don't charge for pets and the desk staff across the country has common sense and the ability to make things happen to make the stay easier. This one has an elevator that works! its not large, most travelers wouldn't be bothered by this, 3 large dogs didn't fit well. I was given a discount due to damage to a wall, it was super minor and i probably wouldn't of noticed honestly.
Cons: The light in the bathroom didn't work, the vent on the a/c unit was disgustingly dirty. This hotel is not in a faint of heart area in my opinion. Lot of people walking around at all hours, right across from a truck stop. Lots of trucks parked all over. The hotel lobby and halls were loud before 9pm. Lots of food and shops across the highway. The deadbolt on the door kept engaging when the door was open and you'd have to use your key to get it shut from the outside. This is a great thing so you don't get locked out, except 3 dogs and 2 bags make this event a little tricky!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff.
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: Just not well-managed at all. Hotels shouldn't have to go very far to make their customers happy. Just provide the basics of a stay and their well on the way. This had almost none. No coffee maker, no hair drier, no shampoo. Not even anything on the walls to make it appear it was a nice place. The place has a raunchy odor to it too. Pool area needs a lot of work and is rundown. I think they have a sauna but there was a sign saying it was out of order. Can imagine how long that has been. the back door to the hotel doesn't work either. The security access mechanism doesn't work so instead of repairing it they just put up a sign saying it's "Exit Only".
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was inexpensive and available when I need it.
Cons: The road construction around the hotel made it very difficult to get to.
6.2 Good
Cons: Lower the price
4.0 Okay
Pros: The beds were comfy and warm.
Cons: The room was not clean. The bathtub didn't work properly was stuck on shower. The floors need to be updated. Had gaps that you would catch your socks on. The heater didn't work right.
4.8 Okay
Cons: The staff in the morning specifically the manager could have been kinder and listened to the issue at hand and felt with it more appropriately

Pros: Staff was super friendly and accommodating
6.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds, good size rooms, friendly staff.
Cons: Shower door didn’t close right, so water leaked out the door to form a large puddle. Bathroom light was strobing out, thought I might have a siezure.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Handling of breakfast for the extremely large number of guests being accommodated. Enough food, opened extra room for guests, not too congested in food area.
Cons: Cleanliness (stains on sofas and in hallway carpet), nicks and scratches on furniture, door locks/handles not properly functioning. Rundown condition for a Marriotts property, we were quite surprised and will not be staying again at a Springhill Suites.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had the best free breakfast there and really like the layout of the room. Having the sofa is nice because regular rooms leave few options to sit up. This is the second Springhill we have enjoyed and both were great.
6.0 Good
Pros: We were in a room on first floor which was nice. Location was ideal.
Cons: But the room is falling apart, the veneer is coming off the wood furniture, the carpet did not appear to be clean and for two queesns they were full sized. One tv between rooms is not my idea of a suite and the box springs on pullout were horrible.

7.9 Good
Pros: The king suite was HUGE! The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: No pots or pans, no utensils, no regular cups or cooking utensils. Not really a stay for a week. It did have a stove, regular refrigerator and table to eat at, just nothing to cook with.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just off the interstate - the location is in an area that is being newly developed and right next door to an AMC theatre so everything here is new. The bed was firm but comfortable and the room had a full sized fridge, coffee pot, stove top and microwave. Water pressure is good and the pool was a comfortable temperature. Will definitely be staying here again.
Cons: I have no complaints.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Rooms super quiet!
Cons: The kitchen was great EXCEPT there are utensils or dishes .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to places and restaurants, easy to find, parking was great. Great value for the price.
Cons: I was not impress with how they placed the girls soccer team families spread out on the 2nd 3rd floors. Footsteps running in their rooms, hallways, jumping up and down, playing in the elevator was too much and so much noise I could not enjoy a good night’s rest.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I was impressed they had fresh strawberries and Chobani yogurt for breakfast.
Cons: They were always out of decaf tea bags.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Shower was very powerful and plenty of hit water. Continental breakfast was better than listed in another review, ie hot and cold cereal, juice, sausage and biscut.
Cons: We had half the towels one would expect with a king size bed and after asking for extra was questioned why we needed them. Wi-Fi only covered half the hotel and we were in the dead zone.
6.3 Good
Pros: We were there only a little over 12 hours but liked the fridge and microwave in the room
Cons: When we checked in we weren't told anything about the breakfast anddidntsee anything in the room. We went together some breakfast Saturday morning at 9:40 and were told breakfast ended at 9:30. There was not even coffee out. As we were in town for a funeral and knew it would be an extremely long day we had looked forward to having a little something in our stomachs. We were very disappointed in this aspect of our trip At the very least, staff should inform guests of the times breakfast is served Also check out was at 11 an and we had requested a little bit later checkout because we had arrived so late due to weather and were told that they do not extend checkout. This hotel did not look very busy at all and I would think they would be more accommodating to guests in Hope's of them returning.
