Pros: It was very central location. The reception and cleaning ladies were very kind and helpful. They went out of their way to help me during my stay there.
Cons: Hotel charged me for a half day for late checkout. My checkout was two hand half hours late. Couldny argue since the hotel rate was low and normal checkout time was 2pm. Cloth hanging space was very narrow.
7.9 Good
Pros: Super value for money hotel 109 RMB for a room, big bed. Good heating system in the middle of the winter, hot water flowing quickly. One Issue during Chinese New Year is that the restaurant for breakfast was closed. But in town not far a bakery & fast food for coffee. Well located near the pedestrian food & night market . Staff very nice.
Cons: beds are super hard so ask for extra blankets to make it more comfy

7.0 Good
Cons: The Restaurant was not operational - disappointed at having to go out for breakfast and dinner.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Good location with friendly helpful staff.
Cons: There is work currently done at the hotel - carpets ripped up, cleaning cleaning, drains replaced etc. One night they were drilling a piece of flooring at 11pm at night outside my door. I had to go ask them to stop. So they just started hammering instead. They were also painting something on to the carpets that stunk, it made me feel very unwell. While I understand the need for work to be done, it really shouldn't be done in the middle of the night and on the same floor as people trying to sleep. I am sure it is a lovely hotel normally but that was not my experience.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location was near a bus station with buses that take you to all the major tourist spots.
Cons: The room was dirty and had an odor. I found half-eaten grapes on the pillows on the first night there and had the bedsheets and comfirter changed. But on the second night, I found half-eaten grapes on the floor and in the washroom. It seems that someone was eating grapes in my room while I'm not there. The washroom also had a skunky smell like the waterpipes were broken.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staffs friendly and helpful. Very good location and clean.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location. It is within walking distance to Dunhuang night market. Nearby also has quite a few good restaurants with reasonable prices
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed from Oct 20-25 2019. Hotel staff is friendly altot they speak mainly mandarin. The hotel owner also owned the travel agency Cheng Kwang 2 doors away. So u can get help from them. Room is clean and comfortable with individual air con unit. Vanity top in bathroom is spacious. There are washing machines, a drying area and an ironingboard and steamer on the 5th floor accessible only via stairs. There are quite a number of good local eateries within 100 m. Shazhou nite mkt is about 10 - 15 mins walk. Bus 3 that goes to Mingsha and Crescent Moon, Leiyin Temple and Dunhuang Museum is about 150 m away.
Cons: Housekeeping could be better. Anyway whenever we needed something done, hotel would get it done after we told the front desk. Altot there is a shower curtain in the toilet, the water still wet the floor in the bathroom because there is no barrier on the floor. But it is not a big issue.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely courteous
Cons: Nil
10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff are beyond nice! and everything else also beyond expectations, near the mosque, and not far from the Mingshashan desert.
Cons: perhaps the bed a bit hard, but still comfy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good staff and clean room !!
Cons: Smell cigarettes, but normally in China
7.0 Good
Pros: 1. Very cheap. 2. We arrived in Chinese New Year, and there was a small present from the hotel in the room with good wishes, very pleasant. 3. Good location, in the center. 4. The TV was working, we watched the New Year concert there. 5. When we asked when to eat in the New Year day (everything was closed), the girl on the reception tried to help us and showed on the map where the opened restaurant should be. The restaurant was opened indeed, although it was full and they couldn't accept us (the reception girl couldn't know it, of course). 6. Nice room.
Cons: 1. In the room there was several bottles of water, and there was no sign that it was not free. We used it, and had to pay when we left. It's not a problem to pay for water, because the room was really very cheap. But it'd be better if we knew it before, because in all other hotels the water in the room was free, and it was unpleasant surprise. 2. The restaurant in the hotel was not working in the Chinese New Year day, and again no warning about it. May be for Chinese people it's evident, but not for us. We very long tried to find a place to eat in the town, and found the opened Dicos, fortunately. I agree that it's not the problem of the hotel, but they could warn foreigners about this Chinese tradition.
