Beautiful location. Health and country club. Plenty of activities. Historic setting.
No A/C in the guest rooms. Was very warm and uncomfortable.
Escape to a thousand acres of relaxation. The Dalmahoy Hotel Country Club is a historic country property set amongst 1,000 acres of beautiful parkland with two 18-hole golf courses, a luxurious spa, and tons of leisurely facilities. Travelers, tourists, and all of the above enjoy a getaway at the gorgeous hotel.
In February 2019, a multi-million-dollar renovation plan was announced in which the hotel will undergo a major refurbishment. The latest upgrade includes all 208 of the rooms in the newer part of the hotel, as the seven manor house rooms and suites were already recently refurbished.
The hotel can be directly accessed via A71 road. Only two minutes away is the M8 motorway, while Edinburgh is 20 minutes’ drive. Amenities are grand and plentiful at the Country Club, offering an impressive 18-hole golf course, featuring both championship golf-course and PGA-approved golf academy. A leisure club with modern gym equipment and fitness classes is also offered at the hotel, as well as an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and tennis court.
The award-winning restaurant, The Pentland, offers freshly prepared cuisine and panoramic views of Dalmahoy’s green parkland. Informal dining can also be found at The Brasserie restaurant and James Braid bar.
A selection of different room types are available at the hotel, including a Classic Room for two with a modern flair, Period Rooms that offer a nod to Scottish history and seven beautiful Manor House suites. All of the spacious rooms offer Hypnos beds, 32-inch flat-screen smart TVs, en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, as well as mini fridges. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the property and free parking is also available.
