Pros: Most comfortable bed I slept in the whole time I was in Costa Rica. Very clean, modern rooms. Really delicious breakfast. Super friendly and helpful staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I think the best part of this hotel is the customer service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They always provided information about food, transportation, or simply tips of places to visit or go on tours. The rooms were amazing, the ones I stayed were new. Free breakfast was great too. And for the most part it was pretty clean and located in a safe environment.
Cons: the location is far from the beaches and pretty much everything else.

Pros: Ok so the staff is so nice but room 414 had little to no water pressure and trickle of hot water...... I asked the front to change rooms but because they were full no possible.... So sucked it up and took Luke warm shower for two days.... Manager said he would comp a dinner at hotel eatery .... Didn't happen and no one seemed to know how it would work. Bed was comfortable location is great for San Jose . My best advice to anyone staying in Costa Rica is get out of San Jose and see the countryside unless u want to be in New York meets Tijuana
Cons: Staff is super nice Breakfast is great Bed was comfortable Location is superb although good luck finding the entrance of you drive in from airport alow 2 hrs for 10km No kidding Traffic is something out of a comic book u will understand if you see it first hand Costa Ricans in general are so nice honest and hard working people enjoy

Pros: Awesome location, right in the heart of San Jose. Walking distance to the major downtown sights, like the theatres, cathedrals, and markets. The restaurant is great, and the lobby is well kept.
Cons: Rooms are run down, and not in the best condition. We had to change rooms because of bugs in the first. AC would have been nice.

Pros: The view is amazing! The couple who run it are very attentive and the food was fantastic. We were travelling as a couple and only stayed the one night but would happily have stayed longer.
Cons: Perhaps the bathrooms could use a little spruce up but the couple who run it have only been there for 5 months so I imagine this is on their to do list.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have enjoyed staying there for the last 3 years and will continue staying there I enjoy the Casino and the staff there
Cons: I don't have anything to say that I didn't enjoy
6.5 Good
Cons: We've stayed here before and things were better then. This time we reserved a crib ahead of time, and when we arrived we were told that the crib is on its way. 30 minutes passed and still no crib and no word from anyone. I called reception again and they said that the crib was not coming anymore since they didn't have one for us anymore. They didn't offer any solutions, just said no crib. I asked if there is a small bed they could wheel into our room and finally they agreed. Also there were a few blood stains on our bedsheets. Gross. I told all of this to reception when we checked out but they showed no concern.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent-right on the pedestrian walkway convienient to stores, restaurants, and sights. Breakfast was included and had made to order eggs, and other offerings. Wi-fi was free. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere, the fact that is new and clean. The personnel of the hotel, the food during breakfast.
Cons: I did not like the streets surrounding the hotel
8.2 Excellent
Pros: All of the staff were friendly and helpful and their english was good. Jorge at the front desk was a super star. I'd had some challenges with my room on an earlier/previous stay and then again on my most recent stay so Jorge upgraded me to a suite. But they had remodeling construction going on and the suite was right above the noisy area so Jorge moved me to a nicer suite away from the noise and provided some other comforts to make up for the inconvenience. He really went out of his way to make me comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the servers and cooks top notch.
Cons: Unfortunately the remodeling construction was loud in the mornings if you wanted to sleep in. And although the location was central in San Jose with easy access to shops and taxi's the street noise from vendors yelling sometimes was irritating.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Located just off the bustling central street, the Hotel Presidente offers refined comfort in their modern-designed hotel. From friendly greeting from the staff to a tasty breakfast, our stay was pleasant from beginning to end. The location allows any traveler to find restaurants and the Teatre Nacional within minutes.
Cons: For such a modern and refined hotel, we were surprised to find the window would not lock shut! Though we were up high, this "insecurity" may cause anxiety for some; for others, like us, we prefer to have the window open at night. Our bed was also surprisingly hard while among new bathroom facilities when also in a room with new bathroom facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The professional staff was incredible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located on a pedestrian street within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Room faced away from the street and was quiet. Room rate included free secure parking. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful in pointing out local sites and places to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean! Cool vibe. Great location. Incredible breakfast included. Very amicable staff.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It's modern and with a good location. It feels knew and you'll enjoy the buffet in the mornings. It's definetly for young couples or business travelers
Cons: Parking is very small if you want to be close to the hotel (only about 8 cars). If there are more than that you'll end up parking at another far away parking they share with other buildings. There isn't a swimming pool
6.2 Good
Pros: I liked that there was a bar on site and a pool table. The bathroom was spacious.
Cons: The night we stayed there, a DJ was playing loud music in the reception area. I couldn't really hear the woman who was checking us in at the front desk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Practical, functional, lively young environment, good breakfast and friendly staff.
Cons: AC compresors on roof above the 7th floor are not mechanically isolated. First night was like sleeping (not) with the compresor in the room. Staff acted surprised when I asked to be moved. Really? NO SLEEP ON THE 7th!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Confort was excellent
Cons: Aloft is a perfect option for business at San Jose
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel had it all. I had a long layover and stayed here. It was the perfect place to relax with fabulous ammenities.
Cons: No complaints! I wouldn't have changed a thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excelente atención y ubicación
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Very different experience as a hotel , sort of a club in a constant happy hour.
Cons: No shuttle to the airport and loud music playing all the time at the lobby .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pros - Modern hotel/rooms - Diego at the front desk referred us to an awesome club nearby
Cons: Cons - overwhelming sense of humidity in hotel room - smell of mold - front desk offered us a shuttle for $550 USD one way to Jaco. I told him that I had found a comparable shuttle for $150. He explained that that was impossible---that such a price was likely per person. I ended up booking the $150 shuttle for 7 passengers and it was amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is excellent
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: When we arrived at Aloft, the lobby was packed with people. There was some kind of party going on. The staff told me I they didn't actually have a room for me, despite my reservation. Instead they told us we had to stay at the Hotel Indigo down the street. Indigo was fine, but they charged us more for the room, and it was not the room configuration we reserved at Aloft.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I believe Aloft has a perfect service with right price, all services are quick, on time and with a great smile
Cons: Please review sliding door for bathroom, it is so hard to open

9.4 Excellent
Pros: I fell in love with the Costa Rica and the people. Marriots San Jose was the perfect way to end our trip here. The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are great. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel so welcomed.
6.6 Good
Pros: beautiful building and grounds
Cons: actual room was a bit shabby, dirty. no fridge, tv didnt work, ac wouldnt turn off, even alarm clock didnt work, strange knocking sound coming from bathroom, and very loud in hall.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and staff was very friendly.
Cons: They charge for internet in the room but not by the pool. I think in the level of a hotel internet should be included in the room. Also should include at least a bottle of water or two in the room at no extra charge. They also need more staff at the breakfast buffet on the weekend, long line for the eggs and had to ask to have potato and bacon refilled.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with some real charm. Staff was first class. Gift shop and cafe are open 24hrs which is a great touch to grab a hot meal anytime. Views are wonderful.
Cons: Restaurants were too expensive for the area. Since there is nothing within walking distance, and traffic is so bad in the afternoon, they have a captive audience - feels like they're taking advantage of it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance! Tropical/lush greenery and colors. Beautiful pool. Excellent food. We were at the hotel just one night before a trip to the Panama Canal. Wish we could have stayed several days.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and amenities itself were great and so was most of the staff. We really enjoyed the pool, Antigua restaurant, views, driving range, fitness center and proximity to the airport.
Cons: Though the majority of the staff were great, there were three incidents during our 5 night stay that really disappointed us. Two were in the executive lounge. I won't bore you with the gentleman who lied to us on Friday evening about the actual prices of the wine on their menu. Nice guy and I actually gave him a $10.00 cash tip and he turned around and charged us double than what he told us he would. On Sunday March, 29th, 2015 we showed up at the executive lounge around 5:20 (It supposedly opened for drinks and light food at 5:00). The young lady working in the lounge hadn't put any of the food out yet. No problem, we weren't there for the food, we wanted a glass of wine and perhaps a few crackers and cheese. She told us we would have to wait for a drink until she put all the food out. Again, no problem. There was another family in the lounge and no one else was in the joint. She served them drinks after we arrived and asked for drinks but was told we had to wait. Okay, still no problem, perhaps they arrived at 5:00 and she thought they had waited too long and wanted to make it up to them. We sat there for 20-25 minutes while this lady and one helper slowly put the food out. During this time, several people arrived and were waiting for service as well. I assumed that when she was ready to start serving drinks, she would take ours first as we had been there the longest without being served. Nope, she started serving tables that just arrived while we were going on sitting in this small lounge for a half hour by now. I had to say something at this point and she just said, "I have many things on my mind". You would think at this point that she would come over to our table, apologize for the lengthy wait and take our order. Nope, she disappeared in the back room and 5 minutes later sends her helper to take our order. We ordered the large glasses of wine and he brought us over the small glasses (considerable price difference between the two) and then proceeds to charge us for the large ones. At this time I asked to speak with the hotel manager. Long story short, he came up, apologized and said the drinks were on him. Classy move by management but this young lady never once came over and apologized for her defensive, incompetent and lousy service. We actually stayed there for a while and she never once came over to our table. I would have fired this sniveling inept employee on the spot.... Later, we put our son on one of the hotel vans that compete with the local cab service out front to go back to the college he's currently attending in San Jose. I told the guy at the front desk to add the charge to our room which he gladly did. I saw him asking the van driver who works for the Marriott for an invoice and handed it to me. The charge was $35.00 and I knew that was accurate because that's the same amount we were charged when we took the same ride 2 days earlier. I found out last night that the driver charged my son on arrival the full fare again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel
Cons: Internet was extra
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and extremely courteous. The layout and decor was top notch and the amenities are amazing. I can't say enough about this place. I'm definitely coming back.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Carolina at the front desk was wonderful. Patient, helpful and pleasant.
Cons: When we arrived our Kayak booking had not been arranged by Kayak. It took almost an hour on the phone to get things straightened out.

Pros: The hotel has a boutique feel to it but everything is also clean and in very good condition unlike some other rustic/boutique hotels I've stayed at. It's located on a hillside and has amazing views in all 4 directions. Great outdoor seating options and a nice pool. Also a lovely indoor lounge with fireplace and a quaint restaurant and bar. The rooms and bed were huge too, I was completely shocked at how nice it was for the minimal price I paid for a weeknight stay. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful, even helped me print my boarding pass before checking out. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: Honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about this place.

Of course had to let my boyfriend back in after he dropped me off. That was very nice of him to check on us so I didn't miss my flight it was a shorty
Cons: All was fine. It was a short stay for me

Pros: Very peaceful place(8 units) near the airport and away from the hustle bustle of the fast moving city. A quiet sanctuary and the pictures are exactly how it looks. Karem who speaks english very well and her husband give it that extra effort of hospitality. Perfect place to return to!
Cons: Only thing maybe more towels.
