Cons: Only issue was a rather large one. There are signs in the room saying no maids on the weekends unless you ask by 5pm fri. I left my ipad, PC and Meds in clear site- thinking no one would come in.housekeeping DID come and clean. no prob, but misleading.

3.7 Mediocre
Pros: The design is ok for a business hotel. The location is good if you want to be in Costa Mesa
Cons: Staff was not very professional. Didn’t honor the SPG gold upgrade as they said that they are a little hotel. Room is small and bathroom is small and outdated.
6.2 Good
Pros: Nice area to behind the hotel to walk. Larger room size
Cons: Service was somewhat lacking. I stayed 3 nights. My room was never serviced by the cleaning crew after I checked in. Mattress was very firm and not very comfortable. Hotel nickel and dimes for everything. Self parking was $22 a night. Hotel Concierge wanted to charge me an additional $20 a night when I (a solo traveller) requested a king bed upon arrival instead of two queens, even though the hotel was half empty and the published rates of the king rooms were $35 less a night than the nightly rate I had paid for my stay.
7.4 Good
Pros: Other than front desk staff, all the other staff were very courteous and professional. The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable all in all very nice.
Cons: Well after prepaying for the room. For them not allowing me to get keys to the room, because of card damage and not do to lack of cash that they do not except. I had to go to my bank and get another temporary card while my other party had to wait with my luggage. Was completely unacceptable. Somebody needs to inform them that once you pay for something you are in title to it. Regardless to some policy they in place.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service. Staff were very helpful and friendly!

4.8 OK
Pros: Good location, since it's close to the airport.
Cons: Facility is extremely outdated, room was tiny and noisy. Parking is an additional $22 per day, which is robbery. I suggest you stay at the Irivne Wyndam instead.
5.4 OK
Pros: Was clean and the staff was good
Cons: 30 dollars to park a car is just ridiculous at a hotel you are paying a couple hundred a night to stay at. Also the room was extremely small it was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I will not stay at that facility again. A complementary breakfast was not included unless you are a gold or platinum member.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the beds. We had a great night sleep.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, always professional always polite. Pool fantastic, Spa clean and warm. I loved the Bed, super cloud pillow topped, room clean. Bathroom luxury, from soaps to towels good size. 24/7 always staff on hand. Had starbucks in hotel foyer. Blackout curtains kept morning sun at bay.
Cons: My 71 yr old mother did not enjoy the pillow top beds, suggested they smothered her. Could hear some trucks on highway braking in mornings and night. It is geared for business, so appeared everything has an additional cost per unit.

8.2 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable. Room was well-maintained. Staff was very kind. The valets were especially helpful, looking for taxis, offering water
Cons: Amenities too expensive. ($9.00 a day to have music on the TV?) Day parking fee was reduced for our convention but no reduction for those of us who were staying in the hotel. Tub/shower was dangerous. Nothing to hold onto. Light too dim. Peephole in the door was too high for an average-size woman to look through.
7.4 Good
Cons: The staff at Check in was not exactly accommodating to the people in line. The gentlemen behind the counter was having a conversation about non work related subjects with a guest, although claiming it to be hotel and check in related, while we stood in line for 15-20 minutes. For a 4 star hotel, the check in process was not that of a 4 star rating. The check in process is more of a 1 star.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location. Starbucks inside hotel. Great bath amenities.
Cons: There was one issue with the bedding upon arrival. Other than that, was a very nice experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Maids never knocked, great black out curtains Had a 5 night stay and everything was perfect
Cons: Nothing Unless they wanted me to get a free stay ????

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front door man Mike was excellent, always had the best smile and attitude each time we went in and out. Our bell hops to and from the hotel were also wonderful. Our server at the lounge was also excellent and attentive. This location is perfect since it has easy access to dining, shops and the freeway. We will definitely be back!
Cons: No negatives
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved that I was able to do early check in and was offered complimentary late check out. Enjoyed the elegant atmosphere. The heated pool was our favorite. Walking distance to dinner and to the mall to do some shopping.
Cons: Parking was a bit expensive $27.00 to be exact.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel was really really good. It is such a good value for the money. The beds were very comfortable the room was very clean and the staff was very friendly wouldn't hesitate to stay there again anytime.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: I didn't like much. My experience was horrible here.
Cons: We were lied to by the staff. Due to their lies, we ended up stranded at the event we were attending. We booked this hotel specifically for the free shuttle, and even made sure of times and venue location that it would all work out. Well, it didn't and the customer service desk did NOTHING to resolve. What an awful experience! I will never stay there again!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: I was a beautiful place to stay, clean and the staff was great. I would surely go back and stay longer for pleasure this time!!!!!
5.4 OK
Pros: liked the restaurant in the courtyard
Cons: There were large bugs in our bathroom -- unacceptable
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was very large and very comfortable. The facilities were very clean and aesthetically pleasing, although I was unable to spend much time there due to a business conference I was attending. I read good things about the restaurant, however, was unable to check it out for the same reasons.
Cons: I was given the opportunity to check-in before noon and to request additional towels, both of which I selected. However, upon arrival I was told that I was unable to check-in early AND that, even if possible, it would cost an additional $40. Furthermore, I did not receive additional towels. So, my question became, why even offer these things if you're not going to provide them upon request.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reliable excellent service and accommodations! We are always impressed with our experience at Ayres!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Likes: free parking, clean rooms, kind staff
Cons: Internet did not work
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is great. The beds are comfortable. The place is generally quite cozy, as well as clean. The USB outlets are a nice modern touch.
Cons: Pretty much my only complaint is that the hotel is very close to the John Wayne Airport and you get woken up promptly at 7am by the first departing flights, which continue to make noise until around 11pm. Otherwise the hotel is nice and quiet.
7.7 Good
Cons: I'm a Pastor and I asked for a 1pm checkout due to a wedding ceremony I was performing in Huntington Beach at 4pm. Initially I was told no problem. I called on Saturday morning to confirm and my request was denied. Staff did not apologize, offer any solutions and I was very disappointed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room included mini fridge and microwave, jetted bath tub, comfortable beds, very clean
Cons: Right across the street from airport, somewhat dated Victorian style decor, no USB charging ports near beds

9.7 Excellent
Pros: The layout of the bathrooms and sleeping areas were very good for an extended stay. The bathroom had enough shelf space for toiletries, and the closet and dresser were sufficient for clothes. The layout of the living room and kitchen made it very comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom does need to have at least one addition towel rack. Hotels now ask that you hang your towel to dry rather than replace it each day - which is wonderful. However, there is no place to hang it... That is a problem. I decided to place my towel on a hanger and hang it in the doorway. Not the best, but it worked. A few more pots would have been nice also. There were enough items for the microwave, but not the stove. A small dish soap would be helpful as well so as not to run the dishwasher for a few items. I used a small bar of soap and a face cloth.

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved it was immediately next door to chic-fil-a, near Irvine Spectrum, sawdust festival ten mins. Nice continental breakfast and small but hot jacuzzi
Cons: Bldg C (1 of 3 bldgs) directly across the street from a Fire Station. We were on the far side of the fire trucks and it still sounds like they are in your room. If you can’t get guaranteed bldg A or opposite side of bldg B I would stay elsewhere.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was convenient to attend a wedding surroundings were clean and all stores close to the hotel for last minute shopping
Cons: The entrance doors need to be updated as critters were able to crawl in which can be scary to some occupants we only noticed it in the morning of our departure but overall it was a reasonable price for our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great
Cons: Great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late but you wouldn't have known it from the check in staff. The person who helped us, sorry I don't remember his name, was very friendly and upbeat. He told us about what the lodge has to offer and the amenities within walking distance. Very helpful
Cons: The carpet seemed rather worn and I wasn't comfortable walking around barefoot.
6.2 Good
Pros: For one, the hotel looked very nice from the outside. They were currently doing some renovations to accommodate disabled guests, so I can't knock them for that. The actual room itself looked nice. The color scheme, the furniture choices, the vanity sink. The bathroom was kind of a cool open concept.
Cons: Though the look was cohesive, it did seem pretty outdated. Also, there was still a stain on the sheet on the bed, the toilet still had some dry urine stains under the seat, and the cap that covers the plumbing for the shower head was coming off.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff was very friendly and the location was great.
Cons: The room was mediocre: Large stains on the carpet, ancient thread-bare beading with sheets that were so old they were grey. Small shower with vanity in the entry way. The free breakfast was continental only.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's not the fanciest place, but it is clean and affordable. In a good area, close to lots of restaurants and shops.

Pros: This lodge is like an oasis in a desert. The room was very quiet, the courtyard was lovely, and I slept wonderful. The internet was good, and there was a small fridge, microwave and safe in the room. They also provide a small, simple breakfast. I recommend this lodge.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Good looking place, great location, good food options in the area, super friendly staff
Cons: Beds could've been more comfortable, especially the pillows. You can tell they cheaped out on a lot of things like breakfast but I would definitely stay there again
5.7 OK
Pros: Location. Close to shopping
Cons: Outdated, needs an face lift, below average breakfast, pillows are horrible.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, good service, comfortable beds, great breakfast
Cons: Hotel is doing construction and they gave us a room directly under the floor they were working on. To their credit they did stop working at a reasonable time and did not start working till 9am.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I mostly try and stay at Embassy Suites when I travel. This hotel was clean, friendly staff and great accommodations.
Cons: Parking at $15 dollars a day seems a little excessive. Other than the parking everything else was good.
7.7 Good
Pros: Roomie suite, clean, fair view, good breakfast, good service during breakfast, overall good quality.
Cons: My hilton honors were not acknologed just because I made reservation through Kayak. Was and said; it was our 10th year wed aniversary and were not willing to grant us just a few hours stay after check out. Marriott always do! Even when no special ocasion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Complimentary breakfast, snacks in the evening along with a two hour complimentary beer and mixed drink happy hour free for all. Complimentary shuttle to the very close airport. 7 miles from the beach a running trail about a mile from the hotel that goes all the way to the beach. Shuttle delivered me to my office within the 3 mile max radius. Staff helped with a mildly exceptional request of providing me with a screw driver from maintenance so I could repair my luggage. The key card opens doors with proximity so I could keep my key in my wallet and put my wallet next to the sensor.
Cons: I should have complained about the heat / air vent. Watching TV it was fine but going to bed it was just loud enough that I slept with a pillow on both sides of my head. Oh and after the two hour happy hour the prices for drinks become a bit unreasonable an interesting strategy they have.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff that always followed up to make sure that we were doing well. Dorothy was absolutely amazing! Love the remodel of the facility and would highly recommend.
Cons: Parking was not free but to be expected when your staying in the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great overall experience
Cons: Paying for parking
5.7 OK
Cons: Could hear the service elevator from my room went until late at night and started early in the morning. Loud squeal and banging doors made it impossible to sleep. The front desk offered no help they said it should stop by 11:00 pm which it did not and they did not tell me it would start again at 6:00 am.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Nice, just recently renovated hotel rooms. Everything was in pristine condition. Comfortable beds, good breakfast (made to order eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal etc).
Cons: Housekeeping woke us up at 8:00 am. Not happy about that. Also pillows are not that good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Most everything was perfect
Cons: We would have much preferred to be on the same floor as family we were with!!! We made reservations at least 2-3 weeks prior and requested 2 rooms together. Thankfully we were with young adult and 2 teenagers that could be on different floor but it was u settling and inconvenient
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful. Our truck did not fit in the parking garage so they made sure there was a spot for us in the short term parking lot for our whole stay. Very friendly helpful staff. Complementary breakfast was perfect way to start our day. Clean nice sized rooms. The location of the hotel was close to everything! Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and balboa all 20-30 min away. Dinning and activities for the family only 7-10 min away. Great hotel!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was big! The pub area was a fun, breakfast and managers cocktail/snack time are always a plus. Gym was small, but worked for my needs.
Cons: Laundry facility was kind of janky, just one chair, maybe a TV or more than one chair or something would help.
5.4 OK
Pros: Clean facilities, comfortable bed and free drinks
Cons: Expected larger suite for the high price. Few amenities close by

10.0 Excellent
Pros: room was setup in a unique way allowing 1 person to sleep and another to do work and/or watch TV without being disturbed - ice cold AC was great - toilet and shower were separated which was also nice - good size TV and channel selection - free HBO - easy access to room - plenty of available parking - close to major freeways
Cons: shower leaked all over the floor due to a bad seal on shower door
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were only there for 1 night and we throughly enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the hotel; from the front entrance to our room. We loved the complimentary breakfast served in the morning. The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Would do definitely go again. Price was also reasonable and we'll worth it.
7.7 Good
Pros: The shuttle van was prompt and very convenient
Cons: The front desk was slow and couldn’t find record of my prepaid reservation
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel was very lovely and recently redecorated, but...
Cons: By far THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE bed I've slept on in a hotel. Couldn't believe how horribly hard and springy the mattress was considering how nicely redone the room was. We tossed and turned all night and were sore and tired in the morning. I would've traded the nice paintings on the wall for a softer bed and good night sleep...I mean the whole reason for staying in a hotel is to sleep so it has to be good. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: I really like the feeling of home away from home in this hotel. With the exception of Brenda who is a bit arrogant with a bad attitude, the front desk staff are amazing and accommodating. Fantastic amenities like free washer and dryer, practically a mini grocery store on your honor that you can pay for or have charged to your room. Plenty of parking, relatively quiet and laid back atmosphere. The kitchens are fully stocked with not only the basics but also measuring cup, mixing bowls, extra pot with lid, ceramic cooktop et cetera. All linens are upscale and clean with no stains and not one rouge dark hair (I am blonde) anywhere. Bed had over stuffed sheepskin like mattress cover that was very comfortable. One last thing that is always very important to me... I didn't have to wash my feet before getting into bed, not ever! Now that is clean.
Cons: Even with all of the amenities I have listed that I like this is after all a 2-star Hotel and it is a bit overpriced. Further, the 20 percent discount offered through RetailMeNot and other reputable sites of the like, are not accepted at all. I could get no break off the daily rate ever. 2 hours on the phone with IHG and it is still a mystery. Counting on that discount is what finalized my decision to stay here while searching for an apartment. Now I'm just further in debt. my feeling on that is a bait and switch which is the fault of the corporation not the facility. I am currently staying on top of my complaint. The shower head is definitely in need of some maintenance to clear out the hard water so the water flows. On only a few occasions I was disturbed by the loud speaking housekeepers outside my door as well as the banging and hitting the walls while cleaning the room next to me. They need to realize that sometimes people work late and sleep late. For the price it should be respected.

Pros: Flew into Irvine and stayed one night before heading to Carlsbad for vacation! I was very impressed with this hotel it was very clean, modern and the staff was excellent. They had a great breakfast amd will definitely stay here again.
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was clean and looked nice.
Cons: The person who checked us in was snobby, and then we had to pay $15 for parking. Once we got checked into our room, we thought "well, at least there is a pool." My husband is obsessed with indoor pools and was excited that this hotel had one. We went to the pool, and instead found a 3 1/2 foot deep puddle. It should be embarrassed to call itself a pool. For a hotel this pricey, you would think they at least would have a Jacuzzi tub next to their sad excuse for a pool, but no. On top of everything else, there is no free breakfast. We thought we would splurge on a pricier hotel, thinking we would get a higher quality and value, but we were sorely disappointed.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here just three days after it opened and some of the common areas were still under construction. We had a couple of problems (shower head was clogged with construction debris, couldn't find access to pool...etc) but the hotel staff and construction workers were all very helpful and fixed everything. Hotel room was very large and clean and quiet. Free parking is also very convenient.
Cons: Wish breakfast was included (they charge $13/person)

8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is centrally located and six minutes from the airport, making it a great choice if you've an early morning departure or late night arrival. Our room was very quiet. The Marketplace was great for snacks and provided a good selection of tasty foods. The staff was friendly and the bed comfortable.
Cons: The parking fee of $22-24 per night seems excessive for a suburb like Irvine which is pretty much made of concrete, shopping malls and parking lots. The sink drain didn't work properly, one of my pet peeves in a hotel in any price category and unexpected in this type of hotel.
4.5 OK
Pros: Impressive, grand entry, airily quick check-in, comfortable beds, clean shower
Cons: Music at the bar was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. In addition the check-in attendant never told me details, such check-out time or that a continental breakfast was included ( I had to ask the next morning). They seemed rushed and ready for the next customer. Another issue was non-smoking on a designated non-smoking floor. I smelled smoke as I slept and saw butts on the carpet in the hallway. Lastly, breakfast was limited to toast, cold cereal, yogurt, and hard-boiled eggs.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I had a problem with another room being extremely loud and disruptive,, the front desk and security took care of the situation, quickly. Also, the GM comped my valet charges...still not what I expected from a hotel like this.

Pros: Loved the market place and the Dj at the bar in the evenings!

Pros: I stayed a long weekend here with my friend and the lovely people at hotel Irvine really made us feel like welcome guests! From the complimentary bikes, to the Friday night movie on the lawn, to the friendly and delightful staff, every minute here was relaxing and stress-free. My friend has severe food allergies which the staff graciously and professionally worked arround for her. It really meant a lot to be able to enjoy my mini-vacation knowing that everything we needed was being taken care of. Thank you so much!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: We loved our room with a view. Even though the hotel was busy with dance competition and softball teams, our room was quiet and service was great. We will definitely be back soon!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: roomy, price and location
Cons: Long wait for checking in and room availability; wifi did not work for our iPhones and computer. These devices worked in all hotels preceding this one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool was great! Lots of space and fun games around the pool. Rooms were nice, good breakfast and fun bar/lounge
7.1 Good
Pros: I liked the pool, room size, little market downstairs with reasonable prices, location to where I was going and the feel of the hotel. There is a mini refrigerator that you can fill up. I like the concept, instead of an overpriced minibar.
Cons: The front desk was confused as to when breakfast ended. (We were told 8am which is ridiculous, but it was actually 9:30.) we missed a few days due to thinking we missed it. The carpet and little features could be updated, but for the most part it was clean. We would stay again.
7.4 Good
Pros: The rooms and linens
Cons: Their was absolutely no sound barriers . I asked for a “quiet room, out of the way “. They stuck me between a family with 2 screaming kids on one side and 18 year old Soccer Players on the other ). The room service was NON EXISTENT. It came from a in house market . However , when I ordered an appetizer at The Red Bar , it was very good , along with the Prickly Pear Cactus Margarita. I don’t think I would be able to book at this Hotel because of the noise level and lack of room service .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great. The bed was super comfortable. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the servers were fun and friendly.
Cons: Not too happy that we had to pay for overnight parking- I feel there should have been some sort of compensation for this as a guest. Perhaps free breakfast?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The lobby was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean.
Cons: My only negative comment would be that the carpert needed to be cleaned in the room. Everything else in the hotel was so clean that the dirty carpet in the room stood out. But this was very minor and should not deter anyone from staying here.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: $19 charge per day for guest parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My first encounter was the best impression ever. I believe her name is Mika. She was outstanding and with a warm smile to boot. Very attentive to detail and she was prompt. Excellent job.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great hotel, great location!!!!
Cons: Nothing bad to say.
8.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly check in. Location for shopping and business meeting was good. Parking fees were comped after reporting an issue with our room not being cleaned during one of the days of our stay.
Cons: Room had an odor. Room was not cleaned during one of the days as we were missed according to their schedule as a result of having our privacy sign on the door until about 10:00 am. When reported to the front desk, the room was cleaned and we were comped for our parking fees. Parking is $10.00 which we were fully aware of but we question why the extra charge. Our room was located right next to the elevator which we could hear continually. We did not ask for a room change but the next time we book a room that will be one of my requests to not be near an elevator.
2.2 Mediocre
Pros: Could not enjoy anything because of the parking fee.
Cons: Mandatory $18 parking fee for all paying guests. What a trap. There is no excuse for a scam like that.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Doubles Tree by Hilton Hotel Irvine meet all of our needs. The staff is very courteous!!!
