The hotel has a certain charm, related to the history (the common part in the ancient villa), view from Monte on the ocean and Funchal, the gardens and the large part of the staff.
The hotel equipment is poorly maintained, not renewed, the noise from the lift motor in the neighboring rooms terrible. Pigeons make balcony every morning so dirty, that it cannot be used. Breakfast offering and organization have a lot of room for improvement.
