We only stayed for a night so did not get to take advantage of the beautiful lobby with many seating areas from high tops to cozy couches. Somehow it felt very open yet very homey and welcoming at the same time. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Very friendly staff. The heater in our room sounded like a mini-explosion every time it kicked on. The walls were paper thin. We were wakened by two female voices and two babies at 7:30 am. I would have sworn they were in our room.
I liked the privacy though the hotel was full. There was not a refrigerator in the room and the ice bucket was undersized. The wedding guests in the lobby were too loud, they should be contained in a private area. The valet service did not retrieve my car in 15 minute time slot. It took took 35 minutes and I had to ask for my car twice.
Comfortable beds, nice lobby with Starbucks coffee, continental breakfast, late room service, within walking distance to many things and short cab ride to airport
The hotel had a great feel when you walked in. It looked very clean and modern. When we arrived Saturday afternoon, there was no doorman to help with the bags. I ended up running into someone when I went to get a cart who was hanging out at the front desk talking. Also I was putting a stroller and there wasn't anyone to assist with holding the door open. Lastly, there were 2 weddings going on. From our room, we could hear the DJ until past 11:30 at night which isn't ok when you have small children and if you are a light sleeper.
Good check in person Internet service
Good location. The hotel was renovating at the time, and I woke up to the sounds of construction! There was no mention of this at all on booking.com - I would've liked to know before booking that there's work being done there. I'm sure it will be fine once done, but still. Hotel staff were okay, but not particularly warm.
Very close to the historical sites, restaurants and Penn's Landing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Having access to the Club Lounge was very convenient to get breakfast or a drink to go. Only valet parking available. Getting used to the noise of the heat/Air conditioning unit turning on and off. It was very quiet while it was running, just the starting and stopping noise that might wake you up if you aren't use to sounds.
Confortable, near city attractions, car stayed at valet parking all the time, good relaxing swiming pool.
Location was awesome. Staff was friendly. Terrible TV...too small and very blurry. Food menu was weak...not enough variety and over priced for the quality. Should not have had to pay an extra 30.00 for one nights parking...outrageously over priced and a very sneaky added expense.
Room was comfortable and clean. Lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays and kept well updated in design and comfort, many sofas to relax, semi private sitting rooms to relax and converse, all with a warm, inviting feel. No fridge in rooms.
Room fab! Parking fee was ridiculous!
Access to historical sites and great restaurants
Parking closeby (self- or value) / nice view over the haven / restaurant was good (but to cold inside) with nice food the unfriendly bellman (or valet - parking guy) in front of the hotel. he should let the Guests get out the car and not open the door while the car is still in motion...
Profesional and friendly staff. Parking way too expensive. 44 per night for valet and 32 to park yourself but gotta take 3 elevators and various walkways to get to your car.
Great location, fun park right outside. Great staff & fantastic room!
Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Hotel overall appearance was good and stylish. Parking rates were outrageous. The bar was terrible and the drinks overpriced. I know the main restaurant/bar was closed for renovations, which explains the awkward positioning of the bar, but the prices for drinks were way too high given the bartender quality and overall market positioning which is heavily influenced by the bartender. Drinks were priced about 30% higher than they should have been, especially given the fact that I had to explain to the bartender how to make a simple drink like an old fashioned. Huge fail in an area where there are too many alternatives.
Paying $30+ for parking that should have been included
The staff at the front desk were exceptional and extremely helpful. The doorman and valet were amazing providing information about the city and transportation. The restaurant and bar were horrible! Service was slow and overwhelmed but they tried hard to provide service. Our burgers were not cooked properly. My burger was burned and my fiancé asked for medium rare and got well done. We sent it back and the burgers still were pathetic and not good. We ate them anyway we were starving after traveling all day. Later that evening after returning from dinner out and a bit of shopping we went to the bar for a night cap and waited 20 minutes before anyone even spoke to us and then another 20 minutes to get a simple captain and Coke and a lemonade -- needless to say we walked out!
I love the energy from the staff to even the parking attendants. The pool was phenomenal and the breakfast was amazing. definitely a hotel to visit again when in the Phila I hope to visit the penns landing Hilton family again soon Parking was expensive I ended up using street parking across the street and paying for the meter.
great pool & buffet breakfast
I really didn't know what we had gotten ourselves into until we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised. This is the perfect location and is close to everything. There is an adorable little park right outside that has cute little events all summer long. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Oh and did I mention the view??? Amazing!
Location was perfect for walking to lots of great historic and shopping/neighborhood browsing. Parking a bit expensive ($36/day) but it's a city, so it was expected. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly, got us right in even though we showed up a few hours before check-in time, answered all questions, and gave some great recommendations. Overall, a terrific experience and I would highly recommend!
Great old city location. AC unit is loud; bathroom could use a thorough cleaning -- dust and hair accumulated in corners. Tub did not drain; ankle deep by the end of the shower.
Location Dirt in corner of bathroom, pool area unkept,
From the minute we walked in, the front desk staff was helpful, gracious, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Danielle was a star! She made sure that we were well taken care of after our long day of travelling. She even directed us to the best Philly Cheesesteaks in town! Hotel room was great. Location was perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
We had never been to Philadelphia and had no idea what expect. This hotel was elegent, clean and updated! At check in they gave us a piece of paper that had all surrounding restaurants and attractions all seperated by types of food or establishments. Then as an added bonus, the kind, helpful staff member at check in even put stars next to the best places to go to with kids. To make things more convenient the 1st morning we were there we were able to schedule a bus tour of Philadelphia right in the hotel lobby. This worked out great for us becsuse we only had one full day there and wanted to see as much as we could. So all this is great, but the best part is the LOCATION!! With in the hour that we arrived we deciedd to walk to get none other than a cheese steak. We walked the direction to Jims (which was suggested by the hotel staff and happens to be the best philly steak in town) and with in 2 blocks of the hotel the street transformed to a bustling city to a picturesque scene of 1700 brick houses, with trees canopying the the cobble stone streets. I walked to Starbucks in the morning from the hotel and walked right by where Benjamin Franklin had been buried and didn't even know it! The parking garage is not connected to the hotel and if there is valet, we never saw it. There is a parking garage on the premises, but no entry directly inside the hotel to and from the garage.
Great location in walking distance to historical sites. Super friendly front desk staff. Room was not ready at 5:00 pm. They did take half off parking to compensate a little.
Rooms were perfectly adequate - bed fine, our shower worked, hot water and Internet worked fine too. Read the fine print - parking not included! Poor service - breakfast was poor, service there was poor, front desk was mixed fine when I checked in but when my mom told them about a leak in their window, no note taking, no interest and no improvement.
Great location and pleasant staff. Guests in the next room hosted a party until 5:30am. Several calls were made to the front desk, but the party continued throughout the night. I got the impression this is normal behavior at this particular hotel. Wouldn't recommend to others traveling for business.
Perfect location! Right in the heart of historic Philadelphia with plenty to do within walking distance! Staff was helpful with everything requested Bathroom was not very clean. Used q tips in the room. The coffee was not restocked.
Comfortable bed. Bottled water in the room. Right in the middle of old town Breakfast buffet was so so.
This hotel was very comfortable and in an amazing location, close to everything I needed. The night staff were a bit grouchy when I arrived, but Seamus and Andre were really friendly daytime staff. I ordered a whiskey on the rocks at the bar and they charged $4 just for the "rocks"(aka ice) - drink-lovers beware!
I spent $200 for a one night sty on a Wednesday, and the room had no refrigerator and it was also an additional $30 to park over night
Had a prepaid reservation for Sofitel and arrived a day late due to a family emergency. I did not have time to call the previous day and when I arrived the manager said they had cancelled my reservation, charged me for one day and that he 'would help me find another hotel.' Pathetic, at least could have called me before they cancelled my reservation. Never stay at the Philadelphia Sofitel again.
Location is perfect for shopping and eating. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. Loved the slippers, thick towels and soft sheets. Lanvin bath products - wow! Nothing. I would easily stay here again if I can find a good rate.
The Sofitel in Philadelphia is in a great location. It has beautifully appointed rooms, and the staff are gracious and warm. Typically, I feel very comfortable in any room I stay in. However this time, the air conditioner didn't work properly, and the shower didn't drain properly. It did dampen my enjoyment of the hotel.
Everyone was friendly, my room was rather large and I enjoyed the ambience. My room was mainly clean but I felt like certain surfaces needed another wipe.
The whole staff is professional and friendly. When they say hello, good morning or ask how your stay is going, it's all sincere. It doesn't sound like a chore or they're just doing their job, they really care!
Te walls are paper thin. You can hear what everyone is doing around you.
Love the hotel and the location. The bar was nice and the French fries late night were amazing. Met an old friend in Philly for one evening. We had a great day in the city, a wonderful dinner and retired to the room at eight PM to get reacquainted. At 10:15 we had a hotel staff member knock on our door to tell us we had noise complaints and to keep it down!!! There was also a note under our door say pleas keep it down the walls are very thin!!! Really??? 10:15??? And they want Philly to be known for the city of LOVE but only if you whisper! Disappointed the staff actually came up to tell me that. I will not be staying there again if I am doing anything but sleeping!
There were many stains on mattresses, Knicks on walls and doors, bedside glasses were not cleaned/replaced each day, gym was filthy with sweat stains on machines and equipment and floor. This hotel is desperately in need of an upgrade/remodel
I booked my stay with the Sofitel through Kayak and the hotel reservations staff completely LOST my pre-paid reservation. After I thought I had resolved this issue, the hotel staff charged me AGAIN for the reservation because the check out staff was different than the staff I worked with to check in. The staff does not communicate with each other. I will never book a room with this hotel again.
They found and provided a mailing tube for us so that we could pack a poster and didn't have to mail it home. I little pricier than I would have liked.
The staff and service were impeccable.
I love all the little extras that the Sofitel in Philadelphia provides… Waters that you don't pay for and offers of more water on request. A really comfortable chair to sit at at the desk, multiple outlets for electronic things, a good blow dryer, a fabulous bed for comfort, great decorating and design that is amazing. I love the amazing service and delicious food like the squash soup that Sofitel offers in their dining area. I appreciated that when I asked about my boarding pass being printed out Anthony from the front desk immediately went there and did it within 30 seconds for me. The staff, from the maid service to the front desk to the waitresses to the hostess to the Bellman, are all incredibly friendly warm helpful but appropriate.
Comfortable bed Noisy
. The restaurant in the motel which had appealed to us was closed and did not look as if it was opening again. . We did not have hot water after 7 am. They really need a new hot water heater. Luckily I took a shower at 6 but my husband didn't have any hot water. . But you did not feel safe in that neighborhood after dark. Such constrasts... There was broken glass on the driveway where we parked. The bed was very comfortable. The motel had been very beautiful some time ago.there was a nice refeigerator and microwave in the room. For the price it was good. There was a marvelous restaurant only a couple of blocks away. Had one of the best meals and at a wonderful price
Very Comfortable especially for the price Getting off the highway trying to merge into the hotel could cause an accident!!!
Nice staff, helpfull. Good location. Some of the fittings were in need of repair - In our sons room the electric wall socket had a hole enxt to it - and in our room there was no plug in the wash basin.
Breakfast Location was not accurate
The price relative to other Philly area hotels seemed good...breakfast was good; check-in was handled nicely Inconvenient location; hard to get to coming from Philly; security in doubt as neither outer door at end of unit closed/locked; hot water took too long to come through; TV was old, dated, poor definition and color; bathroom sink stopped up and drained poorly; fridge didn't get cold enough to keep foods; room seemed musty/dusty
Nice restaurant. Large rooms. No public transport for Philadelphia. Rooms not very clean. Breakfast of very low quality. Staff unfriendly.
It looked good on the outside and for the most part on the inside. But it had its problems elsewhere. Hotel staff charged me $3 without telling me what for or telling me at all until I found out on my card app. AC unit didn't work in my room and they had the whole day to get it fixed but when I get back to the hotel at 8pm I find it hasn't been fixed! Then they took their time replacing the unit.
NO! I had a smoking room, which is always (in any hotel) never up to par, but this room left something to be desired. Room 203 to be exact. There were cigarette burns EVERYWHERE. The nightstands, the sink, countertop, even the soap holder in the shower had a burn mark! The curtains and lamps were brown from the nicotine (regular washing would've done this wonders) and the room stunk of smoke. I slept in Sat morning and when I called for housekeeping at arund 4pm they told me i'd have to take care of it myself. I requested new linens and garbage bags and cleaned the place up myself (so what did I pay for?). The service desk reps were also very rude. They made me wait upon check in to count change! Rediculous. I asked a woman for packets of coffee and no smile or common courtesy.
the pool no restaurant...a little pricey
Nothing! We chose it because it was the only available hotel for that weekend with a reasonable price. Bad location, weird neighbourhood, dirty rooms, disgusting breakfast and the staff barely spoke English. Will not come back and definitely not recommend it to anyone. Unreasonable price considering the location. Altogether, this was an unpleansant stay for us.
Good hotel for travelling cross-country for 1-2 days stops. Rooms are nice and clean. Price is excellent. Hotel situated near road and it is noisy at the night-morning time because of trucks and buses.
The decor was gorgeous. The bed was comfortable. Free breakfast and parking was included. The breakfast had several options (eggs, potatoes, bagels, sausage, juices). This is how you can tell it's a new hotel. There were two lamps, one with two bulbs and one with one. There was only one bulb in the lamb that only needed one. There was no smoke detector, just the base. There was Spackle foot prints in the bath tube and on the bathroom floor. There was a fridge, TV, microwave and one of the lamps were all on the TV stand across from the bed. The downside to that is there were only two outlets. We were only able to plug in the fridge and the TV...so I guess the light bulb wasn't that big of a deal. Also, we were not given wash clothes. When I called the front desk, I had to use my cell phone because there was no phone in the room, the woman told me that she couldn't bring any up but i could come down and get some as she was the only worker. Also, there are two elevators but only one works. Don't try to use the stairs as there are none. The only stairs are outside fire escape stairs.
The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. No bar
Housekeepers were the nicest people in the whole facility Let me see Spa - the massage therapist texted on her phone through the entire massage, massaging with one hand then putting phone on my back Front desk - asked for late check out, was told it was not possible because hotel was sold out that night. As the conversation progressed or digressed as the case may be, was told that I could extend for another night. Not sure why it's okay to lie to people to their face Summary - not only will I never stay at that hotel again in philly, I will never stay in an Omni again. Not sure why the employees don't understand that their pay checks come from money paid by guests. You might want to let them know how the revenue is generated. Sad day
The downstairs spa and pool was relaxing and very clean. The staff throughout the hotel was friendly and quick to take care of anything we needed. Even though the valet parking quickly retrieved our car and due to the difficult nature of street parking in Philadelphia, well worth the cost. We had a wonderful time at the Franklin.
Breakfast not included
The location was great--right across from independence park with many other attractions within easy walking distance. We had a great view of the park through two big windows in our room. The staff was very friendly. Although the hot tub was broken and much missed, the spa was otherwise very enjoyable. I particularly appreciated the valet and doorman offering to allow us to park in front of the hotel while we loaded the car with our luggage. The drapery partly obscured the great view, and could not be pushed out of the way.
The location is perfect in the center of the historic district of Philadelphia with top restaurants within a short walking distance Hotel is a bit tired and could use quite a bit of updating.
Beautiful rooms with attentive staff and great location. My stay couldn't have been better! Can't wait to return to the Omni.
Great location, friendly staff. Noisy refrigerator in room.
Loved everything except restaurant staff. The front desk staff was excellent! I tried to call in a pick-up order, and your restaurant staff was rude and didn't put in my order.
We stayed one night and decided to extend our stay for two more nights. The location was perfect - walking distance to historical points of interest in Philadelphia and to the wedding and reception we attended. The room was well appointed with a nice view. Nothing.
Breakfast was very good. Dining room good ambiance. Wait staff were excellent. Air conditioning was too noisy. No night light for bathroom.
The staff answered questions. They were well trained My husband and I were bit by bed bugs. There were you ha kids running around the entire hotel all night long making noise. We attempted to go in the pool many children unsupervised over crowded. I'm sure many of the teenagers who were staying at the hotel had no business being there
Room was dirty and disgusting
onvenient, good service, clean room
Location central to everything we came to do. Everything was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Parking was 34 a day. that was rediculace after spending that much on my stay.
Convenient location, helpful staff. Complicated garage access.
So close and convenient to Jefferson Station train stop. If you are planning on using public transport to get from the airport to the hotel and back, you can't beat the location. It was also close to restaurants and within walking distance to historic Philadelphia attractions. Was traveling with my seven year old and I felt safe in the neighborhood. Staff was very friendly and very helpful! Restaurant in hotel had good options. Everything was clean and in good shape. Pool area and exercise room left a little to be desired but were good enough for my son to enjoy and for me to get a vacation sized workout.
Very convenient location for visiting our local office. Congested area, difficult parking, lots of traffic. (standard downtown Philadelphia)
The maid services was very helpful. The staff downstairs was unfailingly friendly, even with the difficult customer in front of me. I loved my stay. I kept running out of creamer and asking for more. I probably just use too much. They always brought it up for me right away.
Right in the city close to lots of tourist destinations. Beds are incredibly comfy, and loved the microwave/fridge/keurig combo. Very close to some dodgy parts of town. Parking is outrageously difficult to find on street (and I'm from NYC). Just pay the insane fee for the parking garage, it's worth it. On street is $9 for3 hours anyways. The hotel itself wasn't terrible with clean rooms, a pool/hot tub area and decent exercise facilities. The whole place was a bit dark and I felt compelled to turn on all the lights in the room and it still felt dark. Other than the hotel feeling dark and a bit old it was a pleasant stay.
Good location, not very crowded. N/A
Location was great and rooms were overall quite clean. A little beaten up, but otherwise quaint. Lobby bar and front desk staff were very nice. Someone trying to get into our room in the middle of the night and the cleaning staff thinking 830 am is an okay time to come clean the room.
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Philadelphia Center City is a class act! From the efficient, friendly check in to check out, we were treated as special guests. The staff actually cared that we had a pleasant, comfortable stay. We asked the staff for recommendations on moderately priced restaurants close-by and were pleased with our choice from their list. Our room was comfortable, quiet, pleasantly decorated and well stocked with adequate amenities. This is our third year staying at the Double Tree for the annual Philadelphia Flower Show and we have never been disappointed.
The view of center city was PHENOMENAL. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was not included. Only four elevators for the entire hotel, which meant in the morning we waited for five elevators until we found one with enough room to send half our family down, then had to wait again to get the rest of us down (there are only four of us). We still had to physically check out at the front desk, which had a line. Most hotels don't require that anymore. Very small pool. No free WiFi.
We had to checkout for an early flight. It would have been nice to have coffee and fruit in the lobby.
AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
staff had great attitudes and were outgoing. rooms were clean and well maintained. as expected for a hilton. tv in room was rather small. rooms were connected by doors without request which led to sound pollution from other rooms.
We liked that everyone was friendly and welcoming even the guests. Philadelphia was beautiful and will most likely visit again soon. The only thing we didn't like was that we had to pay for parking. Normally if you're a guest it's free to park so it was a bit odd. Also that wifi was not free as well.
I think the front desk staff were amazing- it was the quickest chec-in and check-out I've ever experienced. The cookies upon check-in were literally a warm touch. The room was a decent size- with a great view of the city from the eighth floor. The pool hours were until 11pm- which was great because I got in on the late side. There was also a decent gym and a sauna with lockers that you could put a code in and use. The decor in the room was somewhat dated and showing its age. The bathroom was small and it took maneuvering to close the door. If you need absolute quite to sleep it may be a problem because you can hear the traffic from the 8th floor and any hallway activity as well. The cleaning people knocked at 8am to clean- when I was checking out anyway, so I could of done without the disruption.
Location Needs some room improvement, maybe paint
We booked the best suite on the 26th floor for our wedding night. The hotel gave two sets of our room key out so when we went up to sleep at 2am after our wedding, there was someone else's items in our room. They downgraded us to the open room on the 8th floor. I was not given a refund as the manager said it was an equivalent room... It wasn't. :(
Parking was easy, front desk staff was polite and helpful - but housekeeping was loud and crass outside of our room in the early hours. Be careful if you are located in room 1602 - the housekeeping staff 'breakroom' is right outside your door. Directions for ice would have been nice - rather than the scavenger hunt I ended up going on.
Location. Proximity to baseball stadium, football stadium, and Wells Fargo Arena. Rooms very clean. No free breakfast. A bit pricey. If you arrive on the same day as an event at any of the stadiums, parking lot is used for the event and charged out. As a result, the parking lot gets VERY full, and they do not reserve a specific area for the hotel guests. As a result, you can end up parking in some strange places (ie. the aisles), and you need to move your car after the event in order to feel comfortable with where you parked.
The room was clean The bathroom was small and cramped
Excellent views of the Philadelphia sky line to the north and citizens bank park to the south. The plumbing was rather loud. You could clearly hear the water flow anytime anyone in a nearby room ran s shower or flushed the toilet.
Nothing it was a horrible night sleep I got bed bugs in the hotel
Close to the stadiums which is why we were there. Nice rooms, plenty of space and friendly staff Can't think of anything
The place was clean, and the location to the ballpark can't be beat. It was expensive. It was expensive, they charged me more for the room than I paid for on Kayak, and the bar to grab a drink after the game was a joke. They had no drafts, their bottle selection was garbage, and when we got the bill for two common "domestic" crafts (Sam Adams) the bill was $16. We thought we were still in the park.
Staff was friendly Bed was uncomfortable
GREAT LOCATION ROOMS WERE NOT CLEANED WELL. TOILET WAS USED AND NOT CLEANED PROPERLY. PEOPLE NEXT DOOR TOO LOUD, TOO LATE...
The hotel does not offer Reward points when I book through Kayak
Location is good. Beds not comfortable at all. Internet didn't work, unacceptable considering there is a extra charge Keep a bottle of water in the room!!
Clean, quiet, location No hot tub in the pool area
Too big if anything. 8 minutes to get to/from room
Close to Center City, comfortable room and beds, quiet for sleeping in.
The location of the hotel is the definition of ideal. Many modes of public transit are easily accessible. Just on principle, any hotel should be able to provide free, or, at minimum, reduced fee parking. This hotel has neither. Be ready to fork out another $40/day for parking.
Sizable room with modern amenities with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly, helpful staff. Great workout room. Convenient central location. Large, sociable bar and lounge area. There was a stain on my sheets; could tell that it was something that had been washed/dried into place, but still a little disappointing for a hotel chain of this quality. I was given a room accessible for persons with disabilities, which I was fine with, but was not asked by the check-in staff first. The only downside to the accessible room was that the doorless, tubless shower got water all over the bathroom floor and soaked the bathmat regardless of how I adjusted the shower-head. Really, these are just minor inconveniences from an otherwise great hotel. Would definitely come back.
Our room was very large! Especially for for hotel in the middle of a major city. Very high ceiling and tall windows made for a comfortable stay. Long walk from lobby to rooms and viva versa. Stairway was very dirty.
Hot apple cider in the lobby was a nice touch. Complimentary Wi-Fi not included?! Considering the room rates, I found this outrageous. Felt like a 3rd world country.
Great location, beautiful pool (with very accommodating hours) and clean & comfortable room. Very friendly, helpful staff.
Central location, clean rooms, many hotel amenities, ease of check in and check out, responsive stadd. Room too small. Was told I would get two Queen beds and larger room and did not receive. Terrible view of construction site.
Robes, shower was nice , room was quiet. 4 large men given a king bed and a roll away .... We didn't fit in beds comfortably, one ended up sleeping on the floor. Valet parking took a long time and left all 4 windows down in my car.
Location & room were great Air conditioning was bad, after repair it was barely adecuate
The staff was gracious and helpful Dust covered the room and the toilet had cardboard trash in it upon arrival. Staff took care of the problem after being notified. The cost for parking at $45.00 a night was ridiculous.
Very friendly staff. Great view of the city from my room. Walls are thin, and you could here the neighboring room to well.
The valets were very friendly, helpful and accomadating. Room was clean and the tv had a great HD picture. Check in staff ignored me while I stood there staring at them waiting to check in because they were on the phone. As soon as they were done some jerk jumped the line because he wanted to talk to a manager and they catered to him for another 5 mins before helping anyone else. Room smelled like stale cigarettes and the bathroom sink wouldn't drain.
Front desk was very accommodating upgraded us to deluxe king room upon check in Concierge not very helpful. Asked twice for recommendations on transportation and wanted to push private car which was theost expensive option vs any other public transportation which we opted for.
Not for family's & a little outdated. The location is amazing!
The staff and hotel were wonderful. They ran out of cucumber water, but we did drink a lot of it.
The room was very comfortable and yet stylish. The location is absolutely perfect. The highlight of our stay was the incredibly attentive and friendly staff. We highly recommend staying at Loews Philadelphia Hotel!
Excellent location, exceptional staff, great restaurant and bar. Nice room and a comfortable bed as well as a pretty good WiFi connection (best I have experience in a while at a hotel). Walls were a little thin. We could hear people in the hall coming and going as if they were almost in the room.
Dog-friendly facilities Certain staff members (including one valet who was obviously personally invested in getting our car out and seemed to feel genuinely bad that one of his colleagues had screwed up our ticket) Location General lack of service-orientation among staff (many were impolite or at least brusque - not the kind of attitude you get at luxury hotels) Everything (except room service) closes early Valet takes forever to drop car and get it out - very poorly managed Not a lot of services available
Location was prefect for walking around town to all the sites
The staff was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable of the city. We had a great experience! They must have given our room away before we checked in. Our group of 3 friends got one king bed so we had to use a roll-away cot, which wasn't the most comfortable thing.
The hotel and staff were extraordinary. i was always greeted upon leaving and entering the hotel. Oftentimes the bellman or concierge would ask if I needed anything. I must have looked a bit lost!!! The situation detailed below needs to be addressed because other than that, the room was most comfortable with a lovely view of City Hall northward Amanda in housekeeping was excellent in refreshing my room and being extra certain there was no detail that was omitted There wasn't anything "I didn't like!" However, The only "hiccup" I experienced was a slight odor of tobacco in. my room at the end of each day. When I notified the front desk they were quick to put a plan in place to remedy the problem. Unfortunately, the odor continued and was probably a function of the odor of the carpet, drapery and bedding.
The manager took great care of us after she was told about our disappointments. She was wonderful and made our second night much better than the first. Most of the other staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facility is extremely old along with the heating/air conditioning units. Our sheets had a hole in them. Had disappointment with 2 staff members who were a bit rude. Felt the crowd that hung out in the hotel bar and/or were staying at the hotel were a bit trashy. For the price per night, we could stay at the Sofitel or Four Seasons and get better accommodations.
Awesome building champagne at checkin have had many enjoyable and memorable stays. Understaffed, poor service sub par to other Ritz hotels. We were provided with wrong room on arrival. Room was somewhat dated and curtains had large weird stains on them. Carpet in room was also stained making it feel dirty. Restaurant service was horrible / waited 40 mins for a table then waited another 15 mins to get acknowledged by staff. Used express checkout, left some negative comments and asked for emailed updated portfolio via email - never received. I've had better service and value for money in other not so "refined" hotels.
Stellar hotel and concept that leaves out all the things you don't need or want -- like a crappy hotel restaurant and bar -- to focus on the things you do: great, comfortable spaces and design. The staff is fun and informed and very helpful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Philly now that I know about the AKA. The cab driver (and many others in the city) don't know about it. I got dropped off the the Rittenhouse Square hotel juts across the square. No biggie, just make rue you're at the right place.
This is the best place to stay in Pholadelphia, perfect location, perfect staff.
I found my studio to be well appointed and comfortable. The location is excellent and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. There was a lot of street noise (people partying) up until about 2:30am and I wonder if somehow there could have been better sound insulation. A minor point is that there was no dish drainer.
The room was very comfortable. The location is great. the price was very reasonable and the staff very nice. The room was a little bit noisy during evenings and nights. I think it would be nice to put double glazing.
James (on the desk) was a great help to us ; we were also able to negotiate a fee comparable to a different facility. It is expensive but in a great location and has large rooms. I hope to stay there again. the breakfast is very basic. Yoghurt and a muffin! some of the desk staff were much less helpful whilst others went out of their way to make sure we were well cared for.
We loved the comfort of the king size bed. Having a kitchen gave us the opportunity to cook in or bring back leftovers to reheat in the oven or microwave. My husband could watch TV in the livingroom while I had the TV in the bedroom. We could not find any reason not to stay there again. The location was perfect for our appointments and the comfort of the room was fantastic.
Location and high quality of the appartment
Comfortable hotel, nice neighbourhood, in the city center
The suite was very nice and clean, the staff excellent...
The room was spacious and quiet. The reception area is very airy, bright, luxurious, and welcoming. The bar food is good. No grab bar in the shower, inside a tub. Toilet paper holder was behind me on the wall.
Location Bathroom small, no place to hang towels
Flexible staff, location. Needs rennovation, loud AC.
Excellent location Overcharged for keeping a pet in the room. Neighboring hotels charge either nothing or $25. Radisson Plaza-Warwick charged us $60 for an overnight stay.
Front desk people were cooperative.Nice central location for shopping, and seemed a nice neighborhood. Food smell permiated room (probably from steak house in the hotel).Became very nauseating during my stay, and interfered with all uses of room. Poor sleep from smell. It was like people were cooking rotten meat all day and night.
The location and amenities made available were a terriffic value. The staff and service was first class
Rooms were spacious and staff helpful. Location
Clean, friendly Expensive, not as many amenities as other hotels up the street
Employees very helpful and location was great. Mouse traps with droppings clearly visable in room.
Huge room, comfortable bed This hotel is unsusuccessfully trying to be a luxury hotel, which it does look like. Looks aren't everything though. The way you're treated by the staff is most important in a luxury hotel. This where the Warwick falls flat on its face. The "doormen" never acknowledged us going in or out. When the bellman showed us to our room, we asked where the ice machine was, instead of filling our ice bucket, he showed us where we could get our own ice--pretty classy guy. Now for the maid service: When we showered the first morning, there ware only two hand towels, one of which we had to use as a bath mat. My husband asked one of the maids on our floor for a couple more hand towels. Her reply was that she had none! We had to call housekeeping to ask for extra hand towels and a bath mat. When our room was done that morning, we got a bath mat, but no hand towels. They also failed to replace our coffe, coffee cups and drinking glasses. We were givien an hour extension for check out, but our maid knocked on our door three times to ask when we were checking out. All three times she knocked on the door were before noon! If Radison wants to run this hotel as a high-end hotel, they need to actually train there entire staff how to serve their guests.
The location was very good, very central and near to a shopping area, and near where my friends lived.
Great bar with friendly staff and very good food. It was enjoyable to hang out there after a day of seeing the sites. Rooms seem a bit dated, and there was no safe in the room.
Everything. Service, quality . Towels could be upgraded.
Staff professionalism King size bed. Clean room. People in the room next door were talking loudly until 2 am! The first night I got absolutely no sleep. It required a cab ride to get to my conference at the Conference Center.
Everything, happy staff, welcoming, clean rooms, awesome views, definitely would recommend this hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Poor sound control between rooms. I could easily hear conversations next door.
Location, Staff, Lounge, Room, Breakfast.
Convenience to area
The hotel was located in a great location. My boyfriend and I liked the fact that we were able to walk to most of the famous sites around town and we both enjoyed the friendly staff. I checked the website before booking the hotel and I was shown a larger room. I was disappointed with the size of the room and felt like I was given false information and paid alot for a very small room.
The hotel location is excellent. It was within a short walking distance to many of the area attractions. Having a very nice breakfast in the hotel was a delightful way to start the mornings. The breakfast room reminded me of a hotel in Rome, Italy. It would be nice to have a mirror over the desk in the bedroom so one could be dressing, applying makeup, etc while the bathroom is being used.
Location Small room and no facilities at a price that is equal to Sheraton and Hilton level hotels
The location is excellent and the rooms are comfortable. The service was absolutely horrendous. The people at the front desk made absolutely no effort to greet me.
Hotel was great. Everything we needed at a great price. Location is perfect. Would definitely return. All was well.
The nearness to the center of the city 1. The girl at the reception was not kind, she was always on her personal phone. 2. the elevator was out of order and we were at the third floor. 3. The room was not clean, the light near the bed was out of order as the hairdrier too. 4. They had not cleaned our room the second day even if they came in our room to leave the soap. 5. The breakfast was very poor and the people in the hotel was very very strange (I think they were homeless). 6. The hotel parking was in a public parking but it was full...
Popular attractions are literally only a 15 minute walk away. We went to the observatory, reading terminal market, the constitution center, the ice skating rink at Dilworth park City Hall, and saw the Liberty Bell. All without our car. Parking at the garage across the street is $15 a night, a definite steal. Don't forget to get your voucher stamped by the front desk! The staff was very friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable. One gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to provide us with free passes to many attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, keurig and water bottles are made available as well. I will definitely be back next time I am in Philadelphia. The one complaint I had about the hotel was that it was often times a bit chilly in the rooms. Our stay was for two nights and each night we had to ask the front desk to raise the heat (which they happily obliged).
Hotel was clean and well staffed. Room comfortable and hotel a close walk to south street, liberty bell, indepenndence hall and other landmarks Very small hall ways, elevators, and small rooms. Also they only give you a parking discount so you will definitely pay to use the parking garage across the street. The discount is 15 off, but if you park over night its 33 so there is this extra $18 for an overnight stay.
The staff were all super friendly and eager to help. The rooms are small but plenty big enough to sleep and have some walking space. EXCELLENT location. Wonderful restaurants and nightlife steps from the door but not overly noisy. Historic areas were within walking distance. Old City was walkable, but a bit farther than some may be comfortable walking however Uber is available within moments of request. The rooms have had a makeover, not the best quality contractor as some things are coming off the wall but overall the appearance is nice for a budget friendly hotel. No fans and no room air conditioner. The AC/heater is controlled from each hallway. Our room was stifling hot so we walked the two blocks to the Target and picked up a $20 box fan. The front desk girl turned the AC down even more which helped the temperature greatly and our fan kept the air circulation going and dried our hand washed laundry.
The front desk staff was very courteous. They answered any questions I had and helped out alot. The price was very affordable. The location was perfect.
The check out! When I checked in the front desk clerk said I'd requested a room with a separate bath. I had no ide that was an option . I was checked into a room where I had to leave and use a toilet and shower ateound the corner. I felt as if I was in a closet. I was glad it was a one night stay only. The fight between the two front desk clerks was not entertaining and then to top it off the fire alarm went off.
The staff was great. Always very helpful and willing to answer any questions. I didn't know that my room didn't have a bathroom en suite until I checked in and found out my bathroom was in the hall. The bathroom was tiny as was the room. One step from the door to the bed and the desk chair was touching the bed on the far side. Luckily I didn't spend too much time in the room. Also the tv had 2 lines running down the entire screen vertically. There was a bright green line running right down the middle of the screen!
Very convenient location and helpful staff. My room had a window without a view; therefore the room did receive direct sunlight. As I didn't visit the city during vacation, this was not a big drawback.
I liked the fact that it was centrally located to downtown Philly, within walking distance of all the sights The elevator was broken and we had to walk up to the third floor to our room
Breakfasts were fantastic, both selection and the time of availability. The staff were attentive and polite and kept everything well stocked. The location is great for downtown The front desk/lobby could help a bit more with directions, or perhaps a walking map of downtown could be made available for those who don't have cars.
great location, very clean, friendly staff everything was great-- no complaints!
Very friendly personell, good location, peacefull, good service
