Pros: We LOVED this place. Very clean, comfortable and the location was great! We had 2 rooms, a family room with a living area, dining area and a small kitchette and a single. Both were fantastic! It's in town, so there's plenty of restaurants to choose from. Breakfast was good as well and our daughter especially enjoyed the cappucccino!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful. Location was great for anyone who is into hiking or skiing as it is about 1 5 minute walk from the Grossglockner cable car.
Cons: Unfortunately, I could hear the people talking in the room next to me. Had to wear headphones to drown them out.

7.9 Good
Pros: The location and the breakfast were very good and save parking is available.
Cons: We booked a "Family Studio" with twin beds for 2 nights and requested a room with firm mattresses and a view. On arrival the mother of the owner told us that the room was specifically allocated to us because we had requested a room with a view . The mattresses were very soft, thin and uneven and on our request the mother of the owner replaced the one mattress with one from another room. No other mattresses were available as all the rooms had, according to her, been booked. The mattresses really need to be replaced /upgraded. There also was a bad smell in the kitchen which we later found to be emanating from the dust bin. We however only during the day after our arrival realised that we had been allocated a "Double Room"( which is of course cheaper and smaller) instead of a " Family Studio ", without any prior notice or discussion. When I confronted the owner for an explanation he tried to justify this change in rooms on the fact that we had requested a room with a view. We however found that "our" Family Studio had been allocated to a family of 3 (who would not fit into the "Double Room" allocated to us) and in fact had a beautiful view over the mountain. Although the owner thereafter formally changed our booking and we only paid the lesser amount for the "Double Room", one cannot but wonder whether we would have been charged with only the cost of the "Double Room " had we not confronted the owner about this. The behaviour of the owner was not only very unfortunate but also unexceptable and not what one would expect from an establishment rated as highly as Bergkristall.

Pros: The Villa Brandstatter is in a beautiful location with gorgeous views. Our host was not there but, upon our arrival, quickly arranged for us to get our keys. Our room was very typical of a small Pension in the area, old and small, but the bed mattresses where the most uncomfortable of our travel this year. It made for a long, uncomfortable evening. Would be nice to have the mattresses replaced. Maria, a friend of the owner, showed up the next morning and cooked us a delightful breakfast.

Pros: Great location, right near a supermarket and a small bar, a short walk up a (Steep) hill brings you to a small town with a couple of bars and restaurants & shops. Not a lot of English spoken upon check in, but not really an issue for us. We (4 adults) rented the 3 bedroom apartment just for one night as part of a motorbike tour through Europe, (one bedroom used for luggage storage which was perfect). The apartment was lovely with great views from the long flower basket covered balcony, it had a large bathroom and extra toilet. Everything you needed was provided as in cutlery, glasses, plates etc. Really comfortable and large sized open plan kitchen / dining / lounging area. Go find the little wooded hut bar called Die Mühle , pretty much diaganol across (behind the opposite hotel) great music and drinks! Parking behind , some under cover. Very quiet and safe.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with a great location, and its family apartment was spacious and had plenty of room for my family of five. They offer a prix fixe dinner option which we chose, and the meal was fantastic. The ingredients were sourced from within 100 km of the hotel, from the greens in the salad to the trout to the wine. We stayed during the summer and were delighted to learn that we could walk down the road to find a hiking trail up to an impressive waterfall, a perfect outing for the morning. The family that runs the inn clearly love what they do.
Cons: No complaints at all

Pros: Anyway, there were positive moments too. The spot is very nice, good view, tasty food in the restaurant. The girl who makes omelettes is very kind. And there is a waiter, don't remember his name, bit he is such an attentive guy. He will serve you the best way possible. You'll understand when he takes you order=)
Cons: Room is Soviet style, empty minibar. Receptionist was trying to write my credit card data (number, year, cvc2 code) on some paper, "for guarantee" she said. Also on check out they were trying to charge me for last dinner, but I've paid in cash in the restaurant. So strange place, you have to be careful there. Restaurant there is a special story. You can't sit where you want, coz the tables are reserved whole the time, even if it's not you can't sit near window (for example) because the waitress Eliska doesn't want to clean those table after you and it's for tomorrow breakfast. The behavior of those waitress (Eliska) looks like she doesn't give a *hit. I've never seen such an unpleasant person.

5.4 Okay
Cons: We stayed in over 200 hotels and travelled before to UK, Italy, Spain, France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, USA, Canada, Mexico. We never experienced the lack of soap due to the very high cost of it and the owner's belief that only luxury hotels offer soap at discretion. We had three dinners included but we ate somewhere else twice before coming to the dinner offered at Sonnblick because we did not know what to expect. And with no soap available, we wondered if anybody is washing hands when preparing the dishes. Several things could have been better: the presence and availability of soap; beds could have been replaced, soap again, service, soap again, attitude, soap again. Really? Is soap a high commodity in Austria?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breath taking views, lovely rooms, welcoming staff. Dog friendly

Cons: The access from the road a little complicated. It is far from Heiligenblut.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners and the members of staff were just great. We booked at 4.45 pm and when we reached the destination we felt extremely valued as guests. We had a great dinner and it was so easy to interact at all level. We decided to stay for another day because there was an Octoberfest inside the guesthouse which was great fun. The location is easy to access and there is a lot of space inside and outside the main structure. There are also climbing facilities and zip wires on the back were adults and children can enjoy. We could also park our 4 motorbikes in the garage. A great thanks to Klaus, Claudia and AnneMarie for the unforgettable experience.
Cons: Nothing really....

Cons: There is no elevator. Smells like fried food. It looks like they didn't have enough people working.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very charming and is in a nice, quiet little town. It was maybe a 5 minute walk to the Grosskirchheim castle, and a shirt drive to Heiligenblut. This is certainly a great place to be among locals. If you're lucky, you may even meet a giant named Max. I almost lost my girlfriend to him, but he lost interest.
Cons: The bed was a little too hard for my taste, but not a major problem.

Pros: Lovely owners, we got an upgrade with the dogs to an apartment which was very useful. We traveled with my mother, as it was her birthday, and she has a smaller room but with a good sized bed for 1 person a great bathroom, a balcony and view. It was a cosy and delightful room with everything one needed - as was the apartment. (We have stayed again and I had a nasty accident and they were really really wonderful to my wife).
Cons: Nothing really

Pros: This family driven hotel is very lovely. It has good location from where you have beautiful view to the mountains, also to the hightest mountain in Austria Großglockner. Every room has balcony. Rooms are clean and very well arranged in austrian style. Also sauna. There are two saunas in sauna space, but only one, the bigger one, was on. It offers bathrobe and towels and lounge space. The breakfast is self-served and coffe from the coffe-machine. Both tasty. I just missed the eggs or other warm food for breakfast. The hotel has very good ski storrage room. It takes only 15 minutes to the Hailigenblut where is the Ski resort.

Cons: Made a booking at booking.com. Come at evening to the hotel: first thing that they said was that there it´s not possible that we have a reservation cos hotel if full. Well, we did have reservation and finally they did find us room. Lady at the reception made it seem that it was our fault that we could make a reservation to they hotel even it´s full. Bed was awful: mattress should have been changed years ago. You could hear everything to the room. And when we went to breakfast and took a seat in a room that seamed to be a breakfast room, same lady came to kick us out and send us to a back room, again angrily. That room might have been reserved to some group but it would be nice to make a note to door / table of that. Weren't welcome there, not a nice visit.

Pros: Host is polite. They have tasty breakfast. Nicely designed interior and exterior.
Cons: Wi-Fi worked only in the specific places.
