Beautiful place with a friendly staff They screw thou with a 38 dollar resort fee (used to be 25) and do everything in their ability to get you to cash out, and it shows. Pretty disgusted considering the trips are normally amazing with turtle bay. Has gotten considerably worse (price wise).
The view was magnificent. ..the pool was nice. Staff was friendly. Very clean Did not like the $75 fee at the end for incidental. We were told that horrible rental equipment was free booty Moore were free wifi was free and all of that was tacked on to our room rate at the very end to be careful. We didn't use any of those items except for wifi. So for over $300 and nights I think those things should be included
Quiet & relaxing. Super service from staff, especially Brian & Eric.
Location View Parking General store Room and hallway Decor needs an update. Choose color schemes that are classic not trendy. Floors should be hardwood since it's humid.
resort was beatiful, nice spot on the point of beach. a/c was broke in the room. was able to sleep with sliding door open to be somewhat comfortable.
Excellent cottages. Oceanfront indeed! Excellent areas to run nearby the beach. The food was pretty mediocre and the staff though perfectly polite seemed somewhat tired...? Hard to explain. There was a lack of energy in the staff.
Rooms were nice. Clean. Great view of the water, even from a partial view room. Beds were too soft. Not a good value: they charge a resort fee and all you get is a beach towel and 2 hours rental of snorkel gear. Their website shows kayaking, bikes, etc. it is all extra - and expensive. Very misleading. Only ate at one restaurant and the food was not great so we ate the rest of our meals off the property.
Away from Honolulu and nice mix of guests Beachside Restaurant (Formerly Ola, going to be Roy's) has been under construction for a long, long, time!
Highly recommend the cottages, very peaceful and private. Loved meandering along the beaches/trails. If you're willing to walk a bit you can claim an entire beach to yourself. We left our child with the grandparents, but it seemed like a great place to bring kids, very family-friendly. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Food was okay, not great. And expensive. We spent about $400 for meals during a 2-night stay for 2 people.
Carol, very clean and lovely rooms Fire alarm going off twice in the middle of the night,a charge for everything possible.
The room was very nice and the food at all the restaurants was excellent, sometimes bordering on amazing. The staff was friendly and always helpful. And the location is terrifically beautiful. There were lots of little problems with our room that pointed to a lack of preventative maintenance, -'d the seemed to be having trouble with the fire alarm system. We had 2 false alarms during our 5 night stay. All in all, nothing terrible. Just small annoyances. But the manager did right by us and we are happy with the outcome.
Pretty sunsets and delicious food. Loved the pool, poolside drinks and nighttime entertainment. The beach was great for snorkeling and swimming. There was a wedding going on and the music was loud but I did enjoy it.
Good location to Waimea Bay. Close to Pipeline, Sunset Beach, Teds Bakery, Haleiwa etc. It is a quite worn down backpackers place. Thin doors. Hard beds. No aircondition, fan or other commodities in room. No sink, no toilet in room. Fairly unclean.
The dorm I stayed in was didn't have a/c and I didnt expect it. Linens and a pillow were provided, happily unexpected. It is right on the main road but the road is SO QUIET at night and one of the German speaking women were outspoken enough to police the conversations from other cabins nearby to ensure quiet (everyone is different...get ready to experience folks who are different from yourself). Restauants, food trucks, grocery, beaches...all nearby and cool staff. Dude, love the no frills experience...encourages you to focus on the surf and the people...thanks! Ha! I always seemed to be looking for the property after dark and while I was unfamiliar with the area, I would pass it five times before successfully making the turn. I might suggest a solar light to illuminate the "Backpackers" and "Plantation Village" signs...else, no suggestions.
