THE GEORGE is a hotel with a history. Located in Cley-next-the-Sea, it was a victim of the devastating floods of 1953. Additionally this North Norfolk hotel was the home to the inaugural meeting of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. It has become a focal point for bird watchers for many years thanks to its ‘bird bible’ and houses the best restaurant in Cley. The George sits imposingly over the Cley marshes and bird reserve looking out toward Blakeney Harbour.
