Cons:Hallways seem warm and humid. Key did not allow me into the Concierge Lounge even though I have Titanium Elite status, and was told I should also get access based on the rate.
Cons:We stayed in two different rooms and the air conditioning was poor in both. The unit is loud and the default setting when you walk in the room is for 67.5 degrees, but it is clearly much warmer than that. I like to sleep around 68 and it became almost cool when we set it down to 65 after several hours. The entire property looks like it needs a renovation but it only switched over to Delta not that long ago (used to be a Marriott). While it looks ok at a distance, it is clear that very little was done other than perhaps new wallpaper along the way. There are marks along the walls in the halls, cracks all over, etc. We also had a toilet whose lid was stained brown in what did not appear to be an organic way, but yet still unsettling. The showerhead in one room was adjustable, but it was stuck in between settings and the adjuster did not work. The faucet in the bathroom was missing its cap. There was a spot on the ceiling that I didn't figure out what it was from. OK, so this is an older hotel and it is quite nice in many ways, but it is suffering from not having been kept up to what used to be Marriott's (or Delta's for that matter) high standards. The people were nice and gave us a discount on the first night and offered us breakfast (we are Titanium, so we got breakfast anyway and we were already on our way out). We needed to go back for a second night and the next day they were very concerned about the toilet stain and all, but did not offer us anything for a less than properly cooled room (and the other things). We did take them up on the breakfast for the second morning rather than going to the Concierge Lounge and the ticket they had given us was for only a Continental Breakfast which was not as nice as the breakfast in the lounge. The waitress was nice and made it right, but I'm not sure what they are thinking. Also, the first night we checked in, we had booked a King room and was given a double. They fixed it for us, but we later found out that they were out of King rooms (and the computer system was saying they weren't) and were trying to make things work as best they could. It took 15 minutes or so to get another room and it was late and we had to go to a funeral the next day. So, I guess I am saying that while the people were nice, the service was actually not very good based on results. Generally I love Marriotts (that is why I am Titanium), so I was fairly disappointed in this case.
Cons:Could have had wifi, better tv in the room and the bathroom felt tight and the ceiling was kind of eh.
Cons:Difficult to return to from the east; I.e., the rest of town. No microwave
Cons:hall light between bedroom and bathroom was burned out tv didn't work- buttons on tv and remote didn't work, had to unplug the tv to turn it off we reserved a room with two double beds but got a room with one king bed. nothing was available to switch to.
