breakfast bedsheets need changing
Personal service, the customer service surpassed my expectations. The state of the bathroom.
It was located directly in the old city and was so convient to everything in old city.
Excellent location, only a few minutes walking to the best known sites of Jerusalem. The hotel is absolutely alcohol-free, so you can be sure that people next door will be noisy and cause you any discomfort. Though located in an excellent place (center of Jerusalem's Old City), the hotel is not easy to reach, especially with heavy luggage, since streets are overcrowded during daytime. We were irritated with old blankets and old bed linen used in the hotel.
it is on herat of the oldu city doesnt have tv in rooms
Nothing, it was not a clean place every thing was dirty I did not like anithing al Hashimi Hotel, it was a bad experience at all
Friendliness of the staff and their knowledge of local info. The shower could have been better; it was a tricle of water, and the drains did not flow well. I experienced this in two different rooms there. TVs in the rooms would be nice as well.
The location of the Hashimi Hostel was excellent. Staff were very friendly and happily changed our room when we complained that the shower did not work. The rooftop lounge area was a real treat overlooking the Temple Mount. The hotel foyer and entrance is well renovated, however, the rooms need maintenance and up-dating to make it a 3 star hotel. Breakfast was very ordinary - need fresh fruit on offer.
good helpfull staff yes. no tv and very small rooms
Restaurant on the roof, lobbyis very cosy i awarded hotel receptionist that i arrive lately night, but i feel, that they didn't expect me
we had a big room but not all were as big. Views from the dining room are wonderful; a real panorama of the old city, Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, cemetries, etc, but the low price, breakfast included, compared with other hotels in Jerusalem, was what we liked best! There are buses to Damascus Gate, but otherwise, apart from expensive taxis, you have to like walking. We walked back from Jaffa gate in an hour and Dung Gate in 30 mins. The main disappointment is the lack of places nearby to buy a meal--only one small cafe selling ,middle-eastern food such as Shawarma. The hotel offers dinner at 50shekels pp, but quality was poor.
Pleasant view the Old Town beauty. Dirty surrounding outside the hotel and very dark in the evenings.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. room was cheap for the great location, within walking distance of the old city. recommended
The staff was friendly, pleasant and very helpful. They gave personal attention to my 89 year old mother and surprised her with a special birthday cake. The hotel is located in the Arab section of East Jerusalem and bus connection was good to the old city. The dinners at the hotel were very good. It is a good hotel for the budget minded visitor. It had no TV in the room. There are not restaurants in the area except for a small pizza and schwarma place around the corner. The only sighting within walking distance is the All Nations Church and related sites at the Mount of Olives otherwise you must take a taxi or bus to go sightseeing.
friendly and family feel in the hotel management and staffs all the christian holy sightsvery close to the hotelwe visited all churches by walking only the hotel location is is very close to the old citythatswhy i finisedmy programes with in two and of daysi I feel like my own home nothing
The view to the old city
The hotel's rooms and restaurant/bar really live up to its name; views of Jerusalem are truly spectacular! The incredible friendly and helpful staff really help make a visit work. They arrange taxis and give good advice. The Panorama is definitely not a luxury hotel and its cool 1960s design has faded a bit, but the service, cleanliness and views more than make up for that.
View from the dining room. convenient location Staff were not very helpful with travel advice. we asked questions about buses and getting places and they didn't seem to know or the information they provided was not accurate. Also, our bathroom was not cleaned prior to us arriving. I asked at reception for it to be cleaned but this was not done.
The staff is very friendly. The reception room is large and it is very pleasant to stop there to relax . This hotel is far from the old city if you want to walk (but easely accessible by car)
The view from the restaurant is magnificent! We also had a good view from our room. The neighborhood is dirty and unsafe. No restaurants or shops around other than dirty local spots.
We were amazed at how good of a time we had after reading some negative reviews. The manager, Hazem, is a class act, helpful, and true to his word. We had good showers, decent breakfast, the World Cup on TV, and a nice room for a good price. I would recommend this place and would certainly stay here again. The area is a trip, with a fruit stand at the entrance, do yourself a favor and get some fruit to go along with your breakfast. Jerusalem is an amazing city, we had a great time!
HI, I really enjoyed my time at petra hostel (after booking I was aprehensive after finding some bad reviews). My dorm was clean and had a view of Jerusalem- amazing to wake up to! The bathroom was in good condition and staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was brimming with character, and the roof is amazing. For a budget pick this has to be it: charctetr, amazing location (straddling old and new city), friendly service and good traveler vibe. I'm not used to hostels but i love petra
nothing, it was terrible! no service, teribble hygineic standard, breakfast und breakfastroom indiscutable, poor relation price- what you get, much better austrian hospice-less price than petra hostel!, petra hostel must be closed!
Location, Room with balcony, Great views! The staff were very friendly. If this place were renovated and turned into a nice/ small hotel it would be awesome. They said that the room would have an air conditioner...it did not. We had to keep windows open all night and the streets are very loud. I sweated a lot that night...rough night of sleep. Breakfast was bad...I lost my appetite when I saw it. Glad we only had to stay one night. What we call "roughin it".
very practical and best location, just good for back packers, students, person looking for just a place to sleep. Not very clean (also due to lot of construction/repair work around), no parking close by, provides just basic needs.
the Petra hostel is one of the most spectacular hostels ,my grandfather had told me of his adventures here in Israel when he was young that he stayed here and had such an amazing time,i feel my stay here brought me closer to my family ,amazing place
