Cons: When we arrived to our hotel room, it was obvious our bathroom hadn't been cleaned. There were used towels hanging up and the toilet paper roll was practically empty. It made me question what else hadn't been cleaned or if the bedding had been changed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was WONDERFUL: extremely comfy bed, great pool & hot tub, good-sized room, and extremely friendly, kind, and lovely woman at the Front Desk. She allowed me to use the hot tub and pool after 10 so I could relieve my very painful sciatica. I cannot thank her enough! We had had a stressful week in Boise helping my ailing father and left much too late. By the time we arrived in John Day, we were exhausted! The hotel and room were such a welcome respite and we're so grateful. They allowed us late check-out the next morning since we arrived quite late and recommend a wonderful restaurant for a delicious late brunch. Thank you so very much!
Cons: Nothing. It was perfectly amazing!
6.0 Good
Pros: Location is good if you are visiting the John Day Fossil Beds (which are well worth visiting.) Room was average but OK for a one night stay. Short walk to local restaurants, some of which were closed when we visited on a Sunday evening. Breakfast was OK.
Cons: Looks like the hotel is run by a bunch of kids which were more interested in watching sports on tv than helping me. Really just an average hotel.
