1.0 Poor
Cons: One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because it had an onsen available to guests. As is the case at some places in Japan, they have banned guests with tattoos from using the onsen, however, this was not enumerated in the guest contract. That kind of restriction needs to be made clear before booking, which the hotel did not do.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great sauna and hot spring pools. Free night snack (Ramen noodles). Clean and neat room.
Cons: No make-up service. The hotel does not provide cleaning or make-up service during your stay at the hotel. But they provided and delivered fresh towels in a bag and put it in front of your room door every day. Very limited food selections for vegetarians for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, warm and friendly
Cons: Great onsen!
10.0 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Onsen was very nice
Cons: The towels quality could be better
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Service 5 stars. Location 4 stars. Room 4 stars. Bath (ONSEN) 4.5 stars. Food 3.5 stars ( review for buffet breakfast only ). Front desk 4 stars. Parking staff 4 stars. Overall: 4.3 stars
Cons: If you have issues with walking, this is not the hotel you want to stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is absolutely amazing. Not only is there a huge variety of food available, but it is all very delicious. Not to mention the cool old dude doing pancake art. I could have just relaxed in the dinning area all morning. In addition, the hot spring is first class. There are plenty of different baths so I never felt crowded. If the baths do seem a little to busy for your liking, I recommend going earlier in the evening and later in the morning. Seems like most other people preferred a late evening and early morning trip to the hot spring.
Cons: Though checkout was at a typical time, I would have really liked a later checkout time (or a longer breakfast time). Between the great breakfast and wanting to visit the hot spring again the morning, you can feel a bit pressed for time. It would be nice to be able to sleep in and enjoy a relaxing breakfast starting at 8 or 9. But the breakfast starts at 6:30 (which is good for those early-risers) but only lasts until 9am. Maybe this is all very typical for hotels, but, again, I really wanted to be able to take my time and enjoy my morning there a bit longer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food and hot spring are good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Only japanese people

Pros: Great last minute deal. The staff very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to train station. Family-run. Staff very nice. Washing machine.
Cons: In an area with a lot of bars. Not a problem for me, but the atmosphere even in the early evening was a little drunk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great for those in need of a place near public transportation! Just a few minutes to get to Meitetsu station. We were only there to get a good night's rest so can't really review too much. Yes, the room was small but that's to be expected. Despite that, the non-smoking rooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed (and even a little more for the price we paid). Staff/manager/owner(?) was cordial and helped us with our luggage. Also, our adjacent two room request was honored.
Cons: Smell of smoke in lounge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy room with separate lounge area (twin room). Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing, was all good
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Gifu - Gifu - Building

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to train station, stores and parking. Laundry machines really helped our extended stays. Would like to come back again!
7.0 Good
Pros: The location next to Meitetsu Gifu station within walking distance even with luggages. You can request for extra hard pillows to your room and complimentary drip coffee and tea bags , however you have to ask for them at the reception and pick them up there.
Cons: Checking out was not a breeze as we have to rush to the train station for our train , we will held back over the receipt. Actually once you have checked in you will have to make full payment in all the hotels in Japan . It is usually their style to ensure no customer check out without payment. And upon our checking out , the receptionist at the front counter held me back for payment when in actual fact she is supposed to hand me the receipt instead of asking me to pay again ! Must be a new inexperienced Japanese speaking staff , and she had to ask her supervisor to sort it out ! Making us rushed to the train station ! Rather unnerving to be held back over the receipt .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Best location! From Gifu station to hotel only 200 meter and the neighbor are Mcdonald's and Family Mart. very convenient!
Cons: the carpet. After laying my luggage case on the carpet, the cover is all dust.
7.0 Good
Pros: Recognized hotel chain and so reliable quality. 3 min walk from Meitsu train station. Small but clean room. Friendly and English-speaking staff. What a surprise to be served by a Chinese at front desk who helped a lot on our inquiries.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't cheerful, nor was the restaurant. Floor was a bit greasy. I've stayed in many Daiwa Roynet, and this one wasn't among the best.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attention to detail and guest comfort, couldn't fault it
Cons: Nothing to not like

Cons: Nothing i didnt like
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, right in front of Gifu station. There is an elevated walkway and an elevator that will lead you to the property which is great if you have luggages. There is also a convenience store at the 1st floor for all last minute needs. It is quite a bit of a walk from the Meitetsu station, around 7-10 minutes, but it will take you to the train to the Nagoya airport as well as the highway buses to different parts of Gifu, I went to Gujo Hachiman for Bon Odori and it was easy to find the bus schedule, the bus stop and the kiosk to buy the bus tickets. This will be a good base if you want to explore different part of Gifu. The breakfast is also filling and the lady at the frontdesk counter is very helpful when I asked for information on flight and train cancellation due to tropical storm Krosa.
Cons: The breakfast lounge is cramped and need to wait for more seats during peak times. I wish the free coffee service is also open before 630am for early risers like me.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, which comes with the stay, had a wide variety of foods to select from, including some western breakfast items. The coffee and tea flowed freely all day. The staff were very friendly and polite.
Cons: Tiny bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is right next to the station and we could see Nobunaga from our window. There are many restaurants near the hotel. The twin bedroom is big enough for 2 suitcases (1 midium 1 Handluggage) and the beds are wide! The price is absolutely OK with all standarts.
Cons: The breakfast tastes good, but the athmosphere is not nice. The bathroom seems a little old, but it was clean.
