The location for a skiing holiday was perfect however not much else in the area. The reception area was very darkly decorated and not very welcoming as a first impression and restaurant staff were very straight faced and not very freindly, hard to approach and made a few mistakes with the billing overcharging by quite a significant ammount.
It was very well situated for access to the ski slopes. The room - a family room was lovely both in decor and size and both my girls actually got real beds - not sofa beds as is the norm! The food was very good but was detracted from by the poor quality of crockery - every meal we picked up something that hadn't been washed properly . It was advertised as a Spa hotel and this is the main reason we chose it. The spa bit was very small and we were asked to wear a bathing costume at all times even in the sauna!!Despite a long list of regulations, for use of the Sauna including no - one under 17 (I paid full price for my eldest daughter but she was not allowed to use these facilities - this was th first thing they told us on arrival but I do not think it is on their web) , they did not remind guests to take a towel into the Sauna which meant that people sat there sweating all over the wood. This is so yukky that neither my husband or I could face using the Sauna. Either the French have different standards of hygiene or the hotel are not 'au fait' with how to use a Sauna.
The meals on half board were excellent. The staff were attentive. The double bed was two singles pushed together which was unconfortable because they were made up separately with two single duvets - a large bottom sheet and a larger duvet is needed. The room was far too hot during the first two nights of our stay.
Staff very friendly, close to the slopes and ski school meeting place. choice of evening meal
The location near the ski lifts and the supermarket, the quiteness of the small village You have to prepare the beds yourself upon arrival, pay for the towels (8 euros/person) and pay for the cleaning at the end (35 euros)
Good clean accommodation with good facilities Nothing to dislike!
The room was very clean and well equipped, and good value for money. Although check in was 5pm, we arrived early (I had emailed the hotel ahead to inform them but did not receive a reply) and the hotel kindly sent me a text message when the room was ready which was 5 hours earlier which was much appreciated. The staff were polite and friendly but at first they could not find my booking although I had already given my email confirmation to another member of staff while I waited for the room to be prepared. The staff also did not give much information about the hotel, the games room, restaurant/bar etc.
Great location within 2 mins walk of the slopes and adjacent to the ski shop, lift pass outlet, restaurant and shop. Basic but well presented self catering accomodation. This is the second time I have used Maeva Plagne Lauze and would certainly do so again.
I like the appartment and view. There is not lift.
There is a nice swiming-pool many
appartment was well presented, tidy and batroom up to date having to pick up linen. Not aware that I needed to bring towels. Hire towels were expensive and paper thin.
Clean, quiet and very convenient for the ski slopes.
