The location was great, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were large.
The smell of the place wasn't luxurious and everything was very smokey. I stayed on a non-smoking floor and was greeted by not only cigarette smoke, but also the smell of damp carpet. I reserved a King room and upon check-in was told that the room I selected was not available, there was no apologies or compensation of any kind... I was given a different room, no view, and on a floor that was under construction.
The staff for the most part is very good. Which was nice. The rest was disappointing. I've stayed in Harrahs all over Nevada for years. But after a long absence in Vegas I came back. The check in its a joke. Very nice people to check in. They needed 4 times more of them. We got through quickly because we did the online check-in. However they got the rooms wrong. I paid for an upgraded Mardi gras suite. Got a craps loud normal room. So when you came up to your room late. You got woke early by the screening woman on her phone in the room next Yuup you. Then the people coming and going from her room also. No worries. Back to the strip to have fun. Another long night to return to a warm room that we asked to have fixed and it wasn't. They obviously have an energy conservation program that is at there guests comfort expense. But again when you talk to the staff. They're great. Just nothing gets done. No worries. Back to the casino again after long night gambling. Only to be awaken by same neighbors. Long story short. I will never stay again at Harrahs. They're not what they used to be.
The business model that seems to be in place. Makes it not a good experience for us. Rooms were to warm.. The female next for had visitors coming and going. They gave me wrong room. Wrong keys to door both nights? Couldn't figure out out. But both times we get up to room. Our keys didn't work. They worked to get us in the rooms earlier. Both nights a long walk to the front desk at 3 a.m. Not fun. But again staff was friendly. But who wants a nice staff member to fix your key twice say 3a.m. there's more. But I think I made my point.
the room was old but clean.
I didn't like anything..our room wasn't ready then the down graded our room still charged us the same. Ivan was one of the workers and found hilarious that we had to wait another 40 minutes for a smaller room. He sat there with the other lady smiling and laughing at the fact we were upset and tired...we arrived at 1 am and the room wasn't even ready. Managers didn't even seem to care. I would never stay there again
Cheapest I could find for a quick getaway in the center of the strip.
I was at most the fourth person in line, and I waited for approx an hour till I got checked in. They had three staff members behind the counter checking people in, by the time I was done, the line had grown about 40 feet long. It was even worse when I got back downstairs from my room.
Staff was friendly
Wonderful customer service, quick check in and out. We had a nice location of our room from the elevator (came in for a race and requested this). Beds were comfortable, great food selections at hotel.
Although we were listed on a "quiet tower" it was very noisy to go to sleep, however there was a marathon and after-race party going on.
Hallways are getting very worn looking.
They were rude and illegally charged us for our service dog. My husband is 100% disabled veteran and they weren't even going to let our service dog stay with us they told us she could sleep in the car. They are just down right RUDE! WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE OR RECOMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYBODY
Terrible option for the business traveller. Rooms are old and outdated. Plumbing doesn't work- signs in the room say they are concerned about the environment but tub was 1/4 full when I arrived and dripped all night long. Had to change rooms due to outlets that didn't work. Waited 30 min+ for maintenance and when the problem couldn't be resolved staff argued rather than solving the problem.
Older. Did not get the view I asked for. Had to pay an extra $30 for earlier check in. That was alright, but the person next to me did not have to pay the extra fee to check in at the same time.
Clean, affordable, and really great lococation. The people were awesome at customer service also.
WiFi very difficult to access even after help with service once. Frustration here.
Proximty to the strip.
Lack of staff at the check-in and in particular the check out. The phone in my room was inoperable so we couldn't contact the desk except to go down to the lobby fifteen floors below. This was made worse when noisy revellers woke us at 6am and we couldn't do anything about it. we were kinda locked in our room. No phone emant we couldn't contact friends in neighboring hotels. We had to go down to the lobby to contact our car rental company. This inconvenience was resolved by Harrahs by giving me back my $50 deposit and waving all additional fees. In effect we were given $25 dollars to compensate us for our inconvenience. Not good enough!
Check in lines were long and they only had a couple persons attending check-in process, was one of the longest way i have experienced to check in at an hotel.
Let's start at the beginning. The parking garage was easy to find and well patrolled by security. Every single time we went to our car we saw at least 2 security guards on every level. We arrived for check in on Thursday at 4:30pm. Check in was a breeze. The staff was very friendly. The lay out of the hotel/casino was incredibly easy to navigate and well marked. Our room in the Carnival Tower on the 29th floor had a fantastic view of the strip. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The AC was a blessing as it was 104 degrees outside. The bathroom was clean and large. I've read alot of bad reviews of this place and I was a little worried about staying here. I really shouldn't have been because after staying here for 5 days I have no idea what these people are talking about. I guess if you are cheap and don't bring your own toiletries and expect a spa in your bathroom you might be disappointed. There were mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a variety of soaps, also a coffee pot and hairdryer. Housekeeping came everyday. Harrah's is amazing and I will definetly be returning. It's right in the middle of everything. I highly recommend getting a monorail pass, since Harrah's has a station. It was so easy and convenient to get up and down the strip. Also the casino was great, machines were paying out big time! Cocktail waitresses were very friendly and speedy with the drinks. Every staff member we encountered was really nice and very helpful. When it came time to leave the Express checkout was very simple. Probably the best value for the money on the strip
The location is excellent and overall is a great value.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, location
Layout is confusing at first
I enjoyed the location. This Harrah's compared to New Orleans or Atlantic City is run down but their are so many more Harrah's chain hotels nearby which made dining out easy. I had the high roller room with a strip view- this was an awesome price compared to other hotels and the room was very clean. I liked the room came with internet since I was in LV for business.
I did not enjoy how there was no shampoo or conditioner, only hair and body wash WITH PARABENS! grossss
I was in town for a convention and Harrah's is very convenient for walking to all the great things Vegas has to offer.
I enjoyed sitting outside and watching the flamingos/ducks which was right next door.
The location was good.
Staff was rude, room was actually dirty when I checked in, same floor guests were loud and obnoxiously rude (not Vegas parties - a super large extended family of all ages in the room next door), thermostat didn't work, bed was uncomfortable, not enough toiletries for one person, hotel overall shabby.
Rooms were clean
Staff had attitude, prices changed I was charged m&m's re
The gaming prices were reasonable, as were the prices for the room. I only paid around $78 a night for weds, thurs, and fri. nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Liked the massage station by reception. Location on strip was good.
Old and outdated. Lots of older people/retirees staying as guests. Have to pay for WIFI in room. Room needs updating. Looked like a red roof inn room inside. My TV wouldn't work when I first got there. Housekeeping kept trying to clean my room, even when I had the do not disturb sign up. Mind you, this is after I had returned to my room around 4-5 am after drinking/clubbing/gambling. They did this twice! No water pressure in shower. Pool area was closed. Food looked unappetizing, ate there twice, felt like I had a brick in my stomach. Went somewhere else for food.
the cleaning staff was very, very good and attentive to the guest staying in the room.
The storing of old equipment in the room and difficulty checking out.
Good location of the strip
Everything was good
Convince of everthing is close by. I like Harrah's it is centralized. Easy parking and staff is very friendly. Will stay again when needed.
Bed was super comfortable. Monorail was very convenient. Location on the strip was excellent. It was very convenient to get from the hotel room, to the car, to the strip, etc.
Out dated and old. Low ceilings in the lobby and casino. I felt like I was in a hotel in the down town area. Pool area was nothing special. The room had no WIFI, only a corded Ethernet connection. So that means, if you have an Ipad or other touch screen device, good luck.
Nothing - Will never stay there again
Didn't like the bathroom in our room. Was not clean and was worn out. Didn't like the size of room. Nothing about Harrah's did I like. Especially the slot machines, they paid NOTHING. You don't put $800-1000.00 in a machine and not hit anymore than maybe $10.00. I will never play slots there again.
