World class service
Vibe was good
This hotel is very convenient to both downtown and the restaurants/shopping on Nicholasville Road. There is a train that woke me several times during the night. The bed was nice but was very firm and I'm used to my Sleep Number bed being set on 'soft'. Maybe request a room further away from the train??
We stayed here when moving our son home from UK in May. The parking lot was big enough for us to park our U-Haul without crowding others. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants within waking distance.
It was classic and comfortable. Friendly staff and a good breakfast in the morning. My kids had fun in the in-door pool.
nice room . friendly staff . clean . i stay there again .
conveient and quiet location, nice breakfast convenient and quiet location, nice breakfast what what else do youv want to know? touble getting some to let me use interenet after a very long time. not hotel's fault
I read previous reviews and was able to request a room on the side of the hotel where I couldn't hear the trains. It was very quiet and very inviting. I love that they had internet in the room. Everything was clean and on point. I would definitely return to this hotel again the next time I drive through the town.
The staff was wonderful...warm and friendly. We are smokers and were able to find a smoking room that didn't at all smell like stale smoke when we arrived. The air conditioner was already on and the room cool when we arrived. The hotel was very clean and our stay was GREAT!!!! We will be making many trips to this destination and this is definitely were we will always stay.
We had hoped the location was closer to downtown, as there was a festival going on, but maybe the distance was good, it was very quiet. It was a nice place to stay after a long day of travel.
I would not recommend this hotel. Our biggest disappointment was that the hot tub was cold. There is also a very busy train track right next to the hotel so it kept us up all night. Plus the walls are paper thin so we heard every time our neighbor got a cell phone call. The breakfast only lasts until 9:30 and when we went down around 9, it looked like a lot of it had been sitting out since the 6:30 start. We also had to go to the front desk for new keys four times in a two day stay because they kept not working.
Staff at the Holiday Inn Express Lexington Downtown were extremely helpful and pleasant at all times. The hotel was easy to find and close to the Convention site. I would recommend this hotel to any one interested in a very comfortable stay!!
This hotel has nice staff and we've stayed there before. However, during this stay, they were replacing all the hallway wallpaper on all floors. This required spackling, removal of light fixtures, room numbers, etc. Therefore, there was a lot of dust (which made its way into the rooms) and there was the smell of the glue. No notice prior to our stay was given and we had no choice but to stay there. There was nothing done to compensate for the noise, the dust, the smell, and the workers were there all day, all weekend. We were quite disappointed from a previous stay.
Hotel was very nice and the staff was very accomadating. Clean room and atmosphere was very family oriented. Wonderful stay and would definelty recommend.
Close to UK Campus. The property was tired. The beds were wrinkled, the comforters looked like someone had laid on them. The room smelled musty. There was no pool for the kids (this I should have noticed before booking). We just did not feel comfortable, so we checked out (paid for 1 night) and went somewhere else.
My daughter works across the street. Campus pub down the street has good food. We stay here because it's convenient for us. Racing season it's one turn and a few miles to Keeneland. Close to the airport as well. Could have used 2 chairs in a 2 bed room, and some place to put your things in the bathroom with a smallish sink. Some lowlifes with a screaming kid the last night. Heard her complain at the front desk that someone complained about her kid... How dare they want to sleep. Walls are thin in the old section. The price is creeping up there.
