Convenience of location. Pizzeria was not of the high quality I would have expected. I also think that breakfast of some sort should nhave been included in the price. The number of smokers hanging around the front entrance sets a very low standard for the hotel.
Ended up goin home early hours in morning as bed was vile had dirty sheets looked like the beds hadnt been changed would never stay their again
Perfect room. Very good location.
The staff were extremly helpful and friendly. Only stayed one night, breakfast excellent and parking availability excellent
Access to the city centre
Good location The hotel building and some of the decor would surely have been very impressive in its heyday, but is now very shabby and in desperate need of renovation and cleaning! Breakfast was poor.
Breakfast was poor and poor value for money cattle market
very loud noise outside from pub/saloon till midnight
we like to go away as many weekends as poss, but not @ £114 per night, which is what we paid. the last time we stayed there early this year we paid £59
The marbled elegance and old time styling. I worked there 47 years ago We did not like leaving
friendly people, obliging and it was very comfortable.
Good service and pleasant staff. Room great and enjoyed using the gym. Very close to many good restaurants. None really
Conveniently located for theatre break. Clean, well equiped, compact modern hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent shower. Good selection at breakfast although sausages/bacon looked a bit undercooked. Although the shower was excellent the wc is separate from the ensuite and doesnt have a washhand basin and is less convenient than a traditional en-suite. Expensive bar prices.
The Hotel is right at the centre of Liverpool, I felt the hotel description could elaborate more on this. Minutes away from the young and lively night life of Bold street, in the other direction only minutes from Church street with its outside craft/food stalls and a great selection of shops to whet your appetite on the way to Liverpool one. Hotel staff are excellent, very friendly however, they speak extremely fast and it was difficult to understand. They were very patient when I kept saying, I'm sorry I don't understand what you are saying. The bar is modern, fresh and inviting. The carpet outside the lift on the 8th floor where our room was loacted was very dirty.
Its excellent location to most places within Liverpool. No free Wifi on site.
Clean, modern, good leisure facilities, friendly staff, top quality breakfast. Lots of 'city' noise during the night, no bath (executive room), bit if a battle to get the internet switched on (we had paid for it in our rate), pretty expensive.
Excellent service but slow check in due to queue and only two staff at the desk - I was in a rush to get to a conference dinner and as delayed because of this. As above
The city center location was spot on. The friendly staff. The room was very clean and welcoming. The bar facilities were excellent. In my view an all round perfect hotel.
Breakfast and service, piped sound into bathroom, tea and coffee in room, large comfortable room, desk and MP3 music player lead Not much -- all was pretty good
Comfortable, secure, great location for shopping Expensive restaurant...Hotel booking made on the Internet back in July and although we weren't staying until late November the money was debited in July.
An excellent room, the bed was very comfortable, very clean, there were excellent facilities the sauna & gym were great. We were offered breadfast for £10 each on check in but did not book as we were unsure what time we were meeting friends the next day on the following morning the offer was withdrawn this was the only fault we found with this hotel.
Love not having a window no street noise which was better than I thought Air conditioner constantly was running through it system. Made it hard to sleep
It was close to everything the city has to offer.
Free cheese at 5:00

it is central I have been in the hotel for the second time.... but this time the hotel was much smaller than the first time... Infact it was suffocating in the room
proximity to city centre Tip to have privacy in en suite. Buy a newspaper and sellotape. Attach newspaper to the outside of glass and then shower in private
Location! The hotel is a short walk from Matthew Street and Liverpool One. Hotel is in the Hart of City Centre. The staff is extremely friendly. Will stay again. If there is one thing I didn't like is the lack of stairs or an extra elevator. Nothing too bad, but can slow you down if you are in a hurry.
Great staff... location great and rooms clean. No real storage space in rooms.
Cleanliness, excellent customer service, peaceful and comfortable stay. Overall a great experience Nothing. Everything was perfect.
It was central to where we wanted to be in Liverpool Room was small and compact, toilet/shower cubicle within the main area.
Great location. Close to Cavern area and Mooresfield underground station. Rooms are extremely small -- smaller than a cruise ship's smallest cabin.
The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and fit for short stay
The public spaces downstairs - bar lounge etc - air of activity and comfort The room while very well furnished and serviced was on the small side for an hotel of this tarriff
The central lokation, the design and the comfort.
excellent hotel took my partner for his birthday handy for the shops freindly staff would stay again and tell all my freinds on the isle of man where i live nothing
Everything - great staff and excellent atmosphere
The overall layout of the hotel ,the decor and design quiet unique Price rather expensive considering it did not include breakfast
Location good TV programming. Including Sky sports Bathrooms very dark. Bad lighting. Breakfast selection ok at best
The food at Blakes restaurant was amazing and all staff were very helpful throughout the hotel. The decor is luxurious and rooms are spacious.
Tastefully themed and in the heart of the city.
Location was very close to Cavern Club. Check in was confusing, person at the counter acted as if it was her first hour on the job. Went to lounge for a drink, was hoping to hear beatles music... after all, we were staying at the Hard Days Night Hotel. They were playing beatles music, but it was so soft we could barely hear it (and not because there were so many people talking, there were only 4 people in the lounge). I asked them to turn it up, which they did ever so slightly. Still only soft background music. We were not looking for loud, just something we could hear without straining. Had yet another bad experience with concierge (Kevin). We had purchased tickets to the Cavern Club Beatles tribute band show through the hotel. Asked Kevin when we should plan to arrive for the 8 PM show to be sure we got seats (explaining that I had read on line that seating was limited and you had to arrive early to get seats even if you had purchased tickets). Kevin dismissed my concern, saying we just had to be there at 8 and handed us the tickets. When we got to the room I read the tickets, they also said that seating was limited and that a ticket didn't guarantee a seat. Decided to ignore Kevin's guidance and it was a good thing we did. We arrived at 7, people were already lined up. By the time the doors opened (7:45) the place was full of people lined up to get in. We got a seat, but had we listened to Kevin we would have been standing for the entire show, which ended just after midnight.
The beatles theme throughout the hotel is fascinating a must see for any beatles fan. The hotel staff are very helpful and even tried to get us tickets for the comedy club. There was a strange noise almost like a tube train that was very annoying. I did complain and was given a £20 discount. They thought it was the air conditioning.
I liked the rooms the location and help from the concierge. The breakfast was extremely disorganised, overcrowded with no cutlery set out. It was a buffet but you had to ask for everything!
the staff were extremely freindly and hepfull no
The location was perfect for Lime Street Station and the city centre, and the staff were always friendly and helpful.
Location of the hotel and the excellent breakfast. Staff were also very helpful
Once out of Lime Street train station, I saw the hotel at the opposite side. That was really handy after 3 hours journey from London. Facilities are very clean, we enjoyed the leisure center. The breakfast was just perfect, no more comment needed! And the staff, I miss words to describe how friendly they were from the reception to the breakfast service up to the check out time. Thanks! With a mini-bar in the rooms, I think this hotel would deserve 5 stars status. Unfortunatelly there wasn't!
Restaurant/breakfast staff were exceptionally courteous, cheerful and industrious. Reception staff were cold and indifferent. Cancelled morning call for second morning but still happened. Woken at 6-15 Sunday which was avoidable if they had cancelled it as requested. When told about this the girl apologised in an indifferent way. Put us off returning.
All staff who we were in contact with were extremely polite and very friendly. Location of the hotel was fantastic.
The best point of the hotel was it was very central The breakfast was not great and having to stand and make your own toast
beautiful well presented hotel with charming and welcoming staff there was nothing to dislike
The room was clean, comfortable, well furnished and the bathroom was a good size and well lit. I would have liked to have checked in earlier and checked out later but this was not possible apparently due to the high occupancy of the hotel.
Good Hotel Close to Railway Station None
Staff were very helpful and friendly; problem sorted very promptly, even by repairman who had come to the wrong room! No shampoo/conditioner
Really could do with replacing the mattresses.Otherwise a fabulous hotel
Proximity to the station but that also means a pretty depressing outlook if you are on that side of the hotel and also of course, noise. Comfortable bed. Flickering light in bathroom. Room very hot.
The rooms was clean. Excellent location, efficient staff, good breakfast and we got it at a good price.
The noise from the railway station was loud and distracting
I loved the way the hotel was finished from the reception to the rooms. Nothing was shabby and was very tastefully decorated. The staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast well exceeded my expectations, was fabulous, and even the dining room for breakfast was a superb room. My friend and I decided to have a meal in the hotel restaurant and the menu had a lot of choice on it and both of us loved the meal. I have never stayed here before and would highly recommend staying here to anyone. It's close to the train, city centre and ferry services and is a palace for a 3 star hotel. The red carpet is great for posing on!!! Nothing!! Well maybe no swimming pool!! Ha ha!! No nothing to change. Everything great, parking a fantastic bonus!
Friendly helpfull staff Not applicable.
Comfortable Clean Football weekend, loud at times during the night - not too bad and my son wasn't woken!
Great location, the rooms were fab and bed was very comfy. I expected it to be quite noisy but there was not much noise from the railway at all. Breakfast was great. An overall very pleasant stay and great value for money.
Everything excellent..AS ALWAYS Un-faultable
close to public transportation, dining and shopping. Very convenient for us. Stayed 7 nights, house keeping not included. Bedding not changed, not offered clean towels. No face cloths available. Did not like hair dryer and it got very hot. Should clean apt, atleast once and change towels. Laundry expensive-3 pounds for wash-2 to dry
The hotel was nice, modern, clean, and in an excellent location (central to everything). There was a 24 hr service desk, whose staff whre always happy to help and please. The security was also excellent as unless you had a room key you could not get to ny of the floors other than reception. The only issue I had, which was there was no parking, and the entrance was in the side street, which was narrow and with no through road. No parking was available..so this was a huge problem. Liverpool is my home town and I was home visiting, so it made it difficult for friends and family to come and stop by to see me. Apart from the parking issue - I have no problems, what-so-ever, and I would definitely stay again and recommend.
Beautiful hotel, excellent service I think it was the noise of the air conditioning or some sort of generator going all night which unfortunately kept me awake.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were tastefully decorated with everything you would need ie iron, hairdryer and safe. Very central for the city centre. No Bar. The rooming list had not been passed on from internet booking.
The location was excellent. The hotel was superb, very clean and welcoming. Staff were very polite. It was a wonderful - all of it and i cannot pinpoint the best part. nothing.
Great city centre location The fan in the room was too noisy at night
lovely and modern, perfect location, comfortable with helpful staff Our room was right next to the lift so there was a lot of noise but other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!
Central hotel, close to shops & night life.Front of house staff very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Housekeeping did not renew the toiletries in the room. The continental breakfast was on the mean side. Coffee, orange juice, cereal, 1slice of toast, 1 croissant & a slice of brioche on day one, no fruit or yoghurt. On day 2 we did not even receive the fruit juice, apparently, we should not have been given the juice the previous day. We were initially charged the full rack rate even though we had booked through Active Hotels, we were refunded the difference but only after we had pointed it out to them.On complaining about the sparse breakfast, the receptionist immediately refunded us.
Very friendly staff and welcome at reception. Lovely bedroom, nice decor, crisp, white cotton bedding, good size TV. Big shower, plenty of white fluffy towels. Very good room service menu. Very nice restaurant for breakfast with a good selection, table service and not buffet. Would highly recommend.
The room facilities were very good; all of the usual things were available such as tea/coffee making facilities, iron, TV but it was nice to have a docking station for my ipod and the quality of everything was high. Nothing.
Cleanliness of roooms, styling of decor, helpfullness of staff.
All the above comments , very pleasant hotel , night staff very helpfull would def. stay again Woken at 8;15 with road works (Saturday) morning that lasted up to 2 hrs, As this is ongoing work , feel it should have been pointed out to us prior ,maybe a reduced rate (or at least complimentary breakfast as we awake so early)but nothing about the actual hotel to comment on .
It has a very good position in the city centre. Very handy for seeing liverpool and close to the rail and bus stations. On the Sunday night there was a bit of noise from outside in the small hours of the morning from people leaving clubs
Staff really friendly and helpfull, bar and resteraunt really nicely decorated with fabulous food.bedroom nicely done also.
Location Poor bathroom facilities and condition. Very noisy location, need secondary glazing
Very central and well maintained hotel.Excellent Breakfast and food in general.Noisy on saturday night due to bar downstairs but it is saturday night afterall.Would definetely stay there again. Only thing is that it is not as close to train station as I first thought but once found easy to get too.
near to shops sour milk in room. no resedents bar ,private function on in bar could not get served
The location very close to Matthew Street and the nice bar within the hotel were plus points of this hotel
great location staff really friendly and helpful basic but clean
friendly staff ,great location on door step to most things street noise in wee small hours!
The room could have was smaller than expected .
The decor of the hotel made it very inviting and the staff were more than friendly in the reception and bar. The breakfast was very disappointing. We both had to leave it and go elsewhere which was extra expense..
Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spotless clean and the location is excellent,in the middle of the city center, wil be back.
centrally placed in Liverpool wit easy acces from railroad andwalking distance to the city centre nothing
Staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and very cheerful!! Food was excellent and cleanliness of a very high standard Sadly not enough tea bags in the room and the shower gel container was empty but so minor when compared to the overall experience
hotel was perfect for shopping , it was near everything, & a very nice hotel. staff were not a bit pleasent , in reception ,
The location was excellent for many of the venues in LIverpool and the breakfast was excellent The main reason we choose this hotel was for the Philamonic
Super service, extremely helpful Finding the hotel thru' the Liverpool traffic system is difficult.
The location was right in the middle of city centre right next to Lime street railway station, the staff were very hepful& friendly
Excellent staff overall, clean. I was not able to get a proper sleep for 2 nights since other guests (if I can call them like this - rooms 519 and 523) were drunk, bunging on doors at 02:00, 04:00, 07:00hrs, their children swearing in the corridors and pressing all buttons in the lift.....If you want to improve the situation black list them since you've got their names, I don't know them. But if you aim to have business people staying at your hotel who they work during the weekend and have to get up early in the morning you must monitor this situation.
