The location is excellent (just behind the Tate Museum & the MI-5 HQ, as well as only a couple of minutes away from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey). Tube stations are 10min.+ away, but the area is well covered by buses. The common spaces look clean and modern and the staff is friendly and polite (but nothing "over the top", though). If you manage to get a good deal, it could be a very affordable hotel in the middle of London. I paid £550 for 5 nights, but a few days before or a few days after my stay and I could've easily paid around £1,200 for the same number of nights in the same period - mid-August.
The rooms are a bit outdated and could do with a fresh coat of paint and some new carpeting at the very least. The design is also very simple and minimal, which gives an overall "basic" feeling. Some refurbishment would go a long way in improving the comfort of guests and would justify some of the heftier rates charged by the hotel (probably off the back of the hotel's premium location rather than room comfort and facilities).
Buffet breakfast was excellent with variety of food and beverages to choose from. One could also order specific meals from the A la Carte menu.
Location was excellent.
The pillows are horrendous.
It’s was great, perfectly clean and in a good location (although our legs say otherwise) busy weekend, amazing gesture leaving a desert in our room for arrival for my girlfriends birthday Cannot complain at least
I like the staff.
The carpet in the first room had a huge blood red stain. They upgraded me to a new room. The king size bed was comprised of two twin beds. There was construction work being done so I heard hammering and drilling starting at 9AM in the morning.
