I have stayed at the Maritim Antonine before and have found it easy to find, very relaxing, very helpful & friendly staff all around the hotel. The Spa treatments are wonderful, good value for money and free use of the sauna & steam rooms is great. There is a wonderful relaxation room too where you can just sit and relax. N/A
Breakfast was great, a great variety of food. The restaurant besides the hotel (run by the hotel) is great, good italian food and good price. The staff at the reception desk should try to be nicer, at least, one smile.
the chance for a good price to get a very comfortable room with a nice view of the bay through the window and SPA included. Also there is a chance to eat in one of few different quality/price level restaurants in the complex. The internet is not for free. Even the service to buy internet access for 24 hours I couldn't buy at the reception, because they were out of it. Also, it is quiet distant from Valletta or Paceville so if you plan to spend a night partying you should plan your trip back to hotel by taxi, which is costly.
Very nice, modern hotel, our room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was amazing : wide selection of food. The staff was very friendly. For people looking for intimity, the bathroom is very modern but the door can't be completely closed... 45 minutes by bus from Valetta.
Loved the hotel, great value for money! Lovely SPA with a nice pool (although there were kids&babies after 12pm which according to their own rules shouldnt have been there - allowed only in the morning because its a SPA where people should be able to relax - they should act on it) & the breakfast was quite elaborate as well. Nothing but a good experience this was.
The Hotel food is very good, the rooms are clean. TV wasnt working properly..
The location was excellent and the price was very affordable! I wasn't disappointed with the choice of my booking! The beds were two single beds. I expected a double bed. Also, the breakfast starts at 7.30am - for me it was too late since I had to check out at 7am.
We arrived late from the airport and found it easily in the dark without a map, simply following the signs from the airport to the area the hotel was in. The breakfast room was lovely with outdoor seating in the garden. 3 swimming pools to choose from although as it was winter we didn't use them. Lovely area, still close to St Julians and Sliema by car due to the fact that Malta is such a small island. Excellent off-peak rates. The car parking set up is terrible. We had a medium sized car and had to wind our way slowly down the circular tunnel, stopping to reverse and line up several times in order not to hit the wall. After the first night we decided to use street parking instead which we found very easy as it was off-peak season.
Good views if you get a sea view room A bit dated for a four star hotel..but still good value, if the improvements are made if would be great value...
Very big room, excellent food would definately go again
Relatively inexpensive cost for room, location is close to public bus stops and restaurants / cafes (the restaurant Al Ponte attached to hotel was excellent), and I had a great experience at the bar (very friendly bartender) and spa (great massage!) I had ants all over my floor and throughout the entire bathroom upon check-in, the room smelled like sewage, the air quality was stale and the room was humid, the towels were very thin and worn, and although the complimentary breakfast had many options and the food was okay, the quality of the juice and coffee was very poor.
We enjoyed the pool and beach facilities plus the evening entertainment were excellent. The bar staff were efficint and friendly and World Cup coverage again excellent. We ate at Flavours on the first evening and very dissapointed, the food was nowhere near the standard we expected, meat was dried up, consequently we did not eat at the hotel again. The poolside bar service not good, friendly kids but they were not looking for opportunities to serve. Reception on check out, the girl (a trainee) was fairly efficient but no eye contact.
Beautifully finished room - amazing views - superb breakfast - great hospitality
the view lack of flexibility by staff, not enough common facilities (such as gym - too small)
Everything one can possibly imagine, staff, room, cleanliness, resort, pool area. Fabulous treat. We were billed for mini bar when we did not take. apparently they were missing to start with, but because we did not open the fridge we were not aware of this. But it wasnt a problem because they were just deducted from our bill.
Location of the Hotel Yes, Kids were not allowed in the indoor pool after 12 and because of that we will never go again to this hotel especially if it's winter. Kids will get bored in their room and most of them they love swimming. So it's not a suitable hotel for us with 3 kids. It's a pity. Besides the room was much smaller than the one we had last time we visited. We were 4 people in a small room.
Good location! Cleaning of rooms was not perfect, obtaining beach towles was difficult, weak coffee and watery fruit juices at breakfast
Perfect! The hotel is situated in the more quiet, remote spot of Malta. Nice sandy beach, good food, friendly people.... The average age is a bit higher then normal...
one can totally relax and instantly feel on holiday. Breakfast and Spa are excellent. We got married at the hotel and the reception was fantastic - service was excellent throughout and food was superb. Please note that the room I booked was for one of the guests and I stayed in a suite for a longer period. Kids room is smally and floor looks shabby. The carpets in our suite were not cleaned once during our stay and this was quite disappointing considering it's a five star hotel. Our bathroom was cleaned while we were in and this seems quite unprofessional to me. I think there is room for improvement where housekeeping is concerned. Also staff entered our room twice (5 mins apart) when we were in.
The Serene Room with Bedroom and a separate living room and the spectacular sea views. Fantastic lagoon pool. Dreadful car park. Not enough car parking space for a large hotel as this one.
First three days in one b/room apart.was very good & without fault. The second part of our stay was in studio apart. Not quite as good.Found a few niggles when we transfered.Main fault being access to the wardrobe facilities & not enough space for two persons clothing.Shower tended to flood the floor. On several occasions items were omitted when the cleaning staff had been. These were soon replaced on request. The airconditioning came on by itself on several occasions through the night, waking us up.
the room and the pool the food and the chaos in the restaurant
I thought Hotel Riu Seabank in Malta was in a great location; having the beach right out in front of the hotel was perfect. The pool area was lovely, and it was very easy to get food and drinks at the pool bar. All the staff were very friendly, especially the Animation Team who do a really good job with arranging activities throughout the day. The breakfast was incredible; so much variety of food and all very fresh. The breakfast was much better than I could have every expected. The hotel rooms are quite basic but nice and clean. In summary, a very good value for money hotel which I would give 10 out of 10 and would definitely go back to.
Gtreat stay in Malta Hotel great for the beach Room noisey from Traffic noise
The location is very good if you book a seaview room you will enjoy it better. Also the spa is nice and staff is very qualified. The massage is recommended. It is a hotel for mass tourism. Too many people in the hotel. Crowded swimming pool and restaurants. Swimming pool is too small for the capacity of the hotel. The hotel facilities (mainly the rooms) are old and not well mantained. Small tv in the room. Central air conditioning that could not be controlled from the room. The hotel charge 5% tax for withdrawing money. Taxi services expensive. Quality of food for breakfast is low. It is not definitely a four-star hotel and it is overpriced for what it offers.
Excellent food. Friendly staff. Great Pool facility. Close to the beach Mattress cover on the beds. Noisy airconditioner. Lack of tea & coffe facilities included in the room.
I liked everything.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly, expect the reception staff; they were OK. Breakfast took a long time, the system needs improving.
Nice Location. Friendly staff and good breakfast facilities. The swimming pool was too small and crowded for the number of people staying in the hotel.
Close to the beach. Many busconnections. Beautiful sea view. The aircondition did not cool the room enough. The double bed was too soft.
i liked the swimming pool and the good food
It's on the main road and across the street from the water's edge. The furniture in the room was better than we expected (after reading some comments by other users) The hotel's name cannot be seen from the road which makes it a bit hard to find. We drove by it a couple of times and had to call the hotel to see where they are exactly.Mattresses in the room we got need to be replaced since they are saggy & uncomfortable. Pillows are old and lumpy and bedspreads need replacing. Pity these things are not looked after as the room itself and furniture were fine. However, we did not complain to the hotel about them since we only stayed one night.
Good evening entertainment. Bathrooms need upgrading (significant mould and poor quality plastic bathroom suite)
The patio and swimming pool area were quite decent, with a nice view and the kids area well separated from the relaxing and quiet "adult part". Very nice animation crew, organising fun activities and just chatting. I really didn't like the fact that the reception staff wasn't very considerate of my age (27) and recommended me a full day tour that was clearly organised for pensioners over 60 (apologies for my ageism, but it works both ways, my Mum wouldn't enjoy a full day tour with a bunch of 20 year old screaming and boozing kids!) ! I think the fact that the reception staff if forbidden to advise the hotel guest about other activities that we can participate in the area (like snorkelling, sailing) only because they are organised by the companies that are not in co-operation with the hotel is quite sad. I would enjoy my stay more if the staff would be a bit more open minded about this.
fantastic hotel. rooms cleaned every day. we were given a sea view room with balcony which was amazing. all rooms mare big and spacious.all staff were extremely helpful especially when i fell over and they arranged me a wheelchair to be delivered from a local hire company. turns out i have broken my leg in 2 places swo very grateful for this. lovely pool area. beautiful hotel. would visit again. only thing is as i was in a wheelchair we had to use the lifts that were a bit tempramental and took forever to come to 3rd floor. also sometimes the didnt align properley so it was hard to get out of them in the chair but overall a very small problem.
Location-on the seaside and naer to the bus station. By the reservation there was no information that the economy room is without balcony and a connected room-very noisy!!! Even after our complaint by the manager on duty nothing was done:( Safe should be included in room price (4* hotel?!).
The view from the balcony was exceptional, pool area was nice and proximity to restaurants was also good. Lots of things. It could in no way be classed as a four star hotel.
Excellant staff, nice pool area Hotel room furnitury, pool bar
Location Gym and pool facilities were not part of room rate and seperate to hotel
friendly and attentive staff the room was good value , but the light fitting was loose .
The shower did not have much power. The room was dark with a small room - but it was economy. The lifts were very slow to arrive. Tea and coffe could be arranged better at breakfast for a faster moving queue.
Once we had a new room, the stay was very comfortable. At checkin, they asked for full payment for the stay, and then placed us in an unacceptable room. If I had seen the room before paying, I would not have stayed at the hotel. However, once a better room was available, the stay was fine.
The pool on the roof Loads of problems with the air conditionning. It was either roasting in the room or freezing. There was no way to regulate it. We stayed there early september and it was very hot outside so it would have been nice to have a normal temperature in the house. The hotel is a four stars but in my opinion it was more like an average three stars.
The big size of the room suprised us. The staff at the reception desk was not very friendly.
The room was of very high standard. I strongly recommend rooms on the back-side of the hotel since they were much more quiet. The rooms were clean and the hotel very nice. Also, the staff were very helpful!
Roof top pool was excellent to spend a lazy day. Great selection at Breakfast. Close to Bus stop for easy travel. Helpful reception staff. Not many rooms have views. I had a room with balcony overlooking the main street. Quite noisy but at least could see activity. Heard several people complain about the internal rooms, only view there was into small walled courtyard.
Clean confortable hotel, great food and good views
lovely room, very clean pool too small, and not very clean at times
Goog hotel and good food both breakfast and dinner
Very friendly and helpful staff. Pool a bonus with beautiful views to the sea. Room a very ample size. The gym did not have a cross trainer or treadmill. Balcony small but adequate.
The best of the hotel is the food. Great maltese food. When we book the room, the view is to the wall, to see the sky is like a hole. In 4 star hotel i don´t think that it can happen´s. We book a room by booking, is everything ok, but when we arrive they want to charge to change room with view, but in price list only exist, non balcony, twin room (our room) and double room (studio). Don´t exist any view to charge hotel in price list, they can´t charge a thing that doens´t exist. We have a balcony, but it´s 2 meters to the wall of the other room.
From one side location of hotel is very good. Ferry station to Gozo and Comino not far from hotel. Max. two minutes walk. From other side it is so far from places of sightseeng (Valetta, Mosta and ect.). Hotel beach nice place for snorkeling. Water in swimming pools is chlorinated too much. No free WiFi in the rooms and lobby. Monotonous breakfasts from day to day. Refrigerator in the room is chargeable. No corkscrew and tea spoons in the room. Hotel in general is equal 3stars hotel. (Not 4stars .)
I read some not so good reviews about the food and only booked bed and breakfast but the evening meal was extremely good and I thought I must mention this fact as other reviews put me off but we paid for the evening meal 6 nights out of 7 and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a lovely hotel, a bit out of the way but the bus service is extremely good. We had a car but you are never far away from anywhere on this small island.
Just the view basically. I think is it most certainly not in any way a Four Star Hotel and should immediately be downgraded - perhaps when it originally opened it may have been - I booked it on the premise that it was currently 4 Star and not at all impressed. It is verging on being run down, the carpets throughtout should be lifted - it needs to be modernised throughout and it is generally not the cleanest. The staff are not too friendly and the few days I spent there at breakfast each morning had to ask for bowls for cereal, cups for tea/coffee (which both are horrible from a machine - not 4 Star level I would think) the juice machine had run out and was only dispensing water....
visited Gozo, swam, listen to entertainment. reception disorganised
The reception workers were quite nice, as were the taxi drivers they called ahead for us. We enjoyed the location next to Gozo and the busses stopped right outside the door (convenient). It was a little cold outside, so we wanted to use the hot tub, but it was bubbling cold water - not at all relaxing. The drinks at the bar by the pool were weak, and the food at the cafe serving lunch was not that great but then again, who goes to a place and only eats at the hotel? We were really hungry and didn't feel like waiting the hour bus ride to Valletta.
Nice location, and quiet hotel/resort, no other dutch guests in that week a not working refrigerator, bad WIFI connection in room
For us, the hotel was situated in a nice quiet spot near the northern part of the island. The hotel rates for use of their computers for internet access or wifi is very expensive.
The view from the room The evening buffet was pretty poor
Room and location Quality of food, especially breakfast.
Television free Daily rate to have television channel free is absolutly not commun .
Location could be better. Breakfast was not too good not much choice.
I liked the facilities in the room as these were mostly to a high standard, except the soap/showern gel was extremely poor quality. I did appreciate that people can pay for the day to use the hotel's facilitaties such as pool and sunbeds. It meant that on certain days, the pool was packed with non-guests. Guests were left without sunbeds and were advised to go to Solana, where the pool is smaller and sunbeds were still on demand.
The apartment was huge and included every kitchen utensil needed! Staff were very friendly (even the relaxed/lazy bartender) and despite the location being relatively quiet (Mellieha isn't very active out-of-season), there were still some nice bars and restaurants in the area. Surprised that we had to settle the balance (7 nights) when we first checked in; cocktails were very bland.
The indoor pool and the room was big enough for 2 adults and 3 children. The room was never cleaned, no towels change, and you have to give deposit for pool towels. the bathroom needed to be cleaned more.
apartment cleaned every day with clean towels. staff very helpful & friendly, great location, fantastic view of bay & church. lots of steps to main street, but great when we discovered the lift from street which stopped outside our apt (no 11) buses very cheap and regular. food very expensive in the restaurant for the bbq night.
Nice, clean rooms. Good location in Mellieha, very serviceminded staff. Indoor swimmingpool @ jacuzzi could be heated (freezing cold water). We also missed a changing room for the same facilities. There were also a lot of construction work going on beside the hotel - very noisy for some hotel guests. Could be an idea to inform about this when booking the hotel
Nice pools & indoor pool. Breakfast buffet was nice, and rooms were good. Room light switches on with hall light, so neighbours could switch a light inside our room on and off ... very annoying.
Well appointed apartment Fire escape stairs close to our room was sealed off for the last few days
The Room furnishings, the Gym and the Internal Pool The WiFi was unavailable from the room. The Sofa bed was broken and the room doors had no keys (except 1)
The aprtment had all the facilities we needed and the restaurant meant we did not have to cook. The breakfeast was good, nearly proper cooked english with proper baked beans plus a range of continental meats, cereals and waffles. The the evening meal buffet style so it was bit dry but okay if you've had a hard day. WIFI access in the communal areas was a bonous. The Hotel is split by a flight of stair so its in two blocks with an access walk way under them. This means getting around the hotel can be a bit of a maze. We had to use 3 lifts just to get to breakfeast! The gym lacked any CV equipment. No treadmill and the exercise bike was broken.
The Staff were all very helpful, The location was great, Would definatley go back. Food great. No complaints at all.
Very Good Accomodation at a reasonable price The Price for a late check-out is the same as for an overnight stay (Doesn't make sense at all!)
Proximity to the Beach, cleanliness of room and entire hotel. Proximity to services, bars, restaurants, bus stop etc If your room is at the back of the hotel, unless you are on the 3rd floor or higher you are looking straight accross(15-20ft) at the nieghbouring apartment block
We asked for a double room and they gave us a twin bed room. Beds and pillows were really uncomfortable. On our arrival the room was clean but during our 8-days staying they cleaned twice, so we had to use the same towels and sheets.
rooms cleaned more than once during week
Good location near the beach, restaurants etc. Nightly entertainments were good fun. We were there on the last week of the 2010 season and not all facilities were available.
Very nice sea view
the excellent facilities, on the Complex, Staff were all very helpful and friendly, close proximity to the beaches, and excellent swimming pools within the Complex. Variety of Food, served to late in the evening, and a mini-market for self catering.
It is good value for money to stay at Luna. They have an good pool area on the top of the hotel with a fantastic view!! There is some noice in the evening until 12 from the bar.
The hotel is near the beach (5 minutes walk). wery ugly room. Grey and faceless :((( We took the room with sea view, but our windows wass overlooking on the road and wasteland. Also there wasn't TV in our room (60euro per day)!!!!!!!!!!!! Сonclusion: terrible hotel.
Location, helpful staff and good restaurant They debited my credit card with one night immediately in spite of the comments on your site that the credit card number was for guarentee only
The staff were friendly and attentive, the location was superb.
First class service. Very accommodating and polite. Wi-Fi was perfect. food was very good, setting was world beating. Major Historic site, felt lucky to stay here. While building is classically old, some of the 1980's or 90's improvements are worn out and need to be renewed. Though a fine hotel, and I will go along with non-working things from the 1600's, the newer stuff needs to work better. No big deal, just a minor quibble.
Room was nice and quite unique. The location was absolutely super - right in the middle of Mdina. For a bit of a splurge this hotel is probably worth it. Perhaps a little bit over priced. It's not really a 5 star hotel maybe more like a 4 star hotel. Still it was very nice and I would go back again
Beautiful palace in a magnificent location. Beautiful view. Luxury
Nothing! When I arrived they could not find my reservation and told me to come back a few hours later when a manager was in. This was 10am. When I came back they told me i could not have a standard seaview room, but instead only a tiny dirty interior room with one tiny window no more than 1ft x 1ft. The room also appeared to have no a/c. I was told if i disnt like it I could leave or if I had a problem nd wanted to complain I should do so the following day when the manager returned. I was only staying one night which meant I had no recourse. I could not stay in the room offered as it was horrible. Also if I stayed I knew it would make making a claim more difficult. I complained to get a room your partner in this booking and they first offered a 30 usd discount off my next booking...totally unacceptable as I had lost my prepayment to the hotel, about 60 euro and i had to rebook a new hotel day of and that cost me more than 180euro as this is a busy season, not to mention wasting a whole day of my holiday. I use kayak all the time and have always had fine experiences, but this was a complete ripoff. And the service from getaroom was awful, they told me bed type and room type is up to hotel availability.... bed maybe i understand, but roomtype?? I booked ahead and paid more, so how can i be forced into a damp dingy room and be told no refund or discount and just deal with it. This is fraud.. they could book everyone at this rate for all i know and pull this scam on everyone...
the staff kindness & the breakfast the 4% surcharge on credit card payment; beds, fornitures and curtains need to be changed, the bathroom have not a proper door and its window is nail down too.
Beautifully situated (fantastic view);very helpful personel; short walk to the main street i Mellieha, were shops and restaurants are situated) Breakfast rather dull. We were disturbed in three or four weekday mornings (7-8 am) by repairwork being done in the hotel.
Hotel Panorama is systematically doing overbooks (booking more rooms than Hotel Panorama has available) and sending the exceeding guests to Hotel Primera (located in a busy area, not a comparable hotel). This information has been confirmed by other people, including other guests who were in the same situation as we were. Hotel Panorama is intentionally overbooking rooms and profiting from this practice. Please do not encourage this bad business practice and do not book this hotel.
we were unble to get 2 sperate bedrooms,as everywhere on the island at our budget .I had asked if any where to come available as we where booked in to a single and triple with sea view rooms. When we arrived we where shown to a private apartment at the side of the hotel which was saperate but had all the service and ammenities of the hotel.Very pleased with it.
The view is excellent, staff was helpful and the pool area although small it was attractive. The hotel is small and beautiful but working as an executive housekeeper I could notice lot of things that can be done better. The hotel gives you an impression of an I don't care attitude and its a pity as you have a nice product. Elevators stainless teal never clean, floors being busy with the pool often attention is needed, reception office needs attention as its full of papers well avoid shabbiness is the whole idea. Please note I am not complaining but trying to help as I work in the same field as you Thanks
I merely used the hotel as a place to sleep between sight seeing and nights out, however the staff were very friendly and helpful.
jacuzzi, heated indoor pool, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, good location
In this hotel one finds relaxing time ,privacy, good service , breakfast very good and the prices in the caffeteria were very good .
Room and facilities excellent, the staff was very friendly and hepfull, easy reach to bus and promenade.
I could find no fault in the hotel. The breakfast was particularly lovely I have nothing to complain about
- View to the Mediterranean Sea. - Breakfast. - Proximity to points of interest (if you have a car). - Good room.
clean breakfast buffet, rain water leaking from ceiling in restaurant and corridors, bathroom facilities, gym well equipped but in poor state of maintenance, general state of decoration
location pool area rather simple, run-down
Location and friendly helpfull staff
clean, a bit good looking too, wide spaces and good swimming pool. It's very close to the bus terminal it's a bit far away from the night life
Good location and good access to public transport. Friendly personel.
The location of the apartments was excellent with a wonderful view of the bay. Nicely furnished, modern and clean. Bathroom immaculate. Selection of bars , restaurants on the doorstep but not in a roudy district. Pool area very nice. Bus stop outside hotel but also only 10 mins walk to Bugibba bus station for access to most parts of island. More English speaking tv channels would have been nice - BBC world news was only option. Local info pack in room would have been handy. Female receptionists not very smiley but polite and efficent.
The room we were allocated was larger than we expected, towels changed every day and bedding changed every 3 days to a good standard. We found the hotel to be an excellent location for travelling around Malta. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment. One of the receptionists was very sullen and quite abrupt to some of the residents. The balcony in the room was a decent size but the view was partially blocked by another room. The pool area is in need of an update as is the games room. Definately not a 4* hotel but a good 3*.
Very spacious and clean room, beautiful sea view, nice pool (also indoor), great location 5 mins from Bugibba bus terminal to go all around the island The indoor leisure center was under reconstruction so a bit messy, but I guess they'll be done before the summer. We stayed 4 nights and changed our towels every day, but never changed our sheets.
Big room, view of the sea, clean The staff does not tell you that you receive two little packets of bath gel (hardly enough for two people even for one night) and that if you stay for more than one night, you have to buy your own. They are rude and really unhelpful, not 4 star at all. The girl in the reception did not know much about her own island, not even where the temples are and what they are!
Very happy, spent 3 nights at end of January. Hotel quiet obviously, given a top floor sea view, that was cleaned once during stay. Continental breakfast wasn't very impressive but apart from that an enjoyable stay and a perfect base for our visit at a reasonable price. (included use of gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi).
Ideal location in the middle of the island of Malta but you should be driving. Also good for families with small kids. Restaurant though small served nice veg food too.
Pool area was OK Standard of cleanliness, Staff unfrindly
The large apartment and The large kitchen. Helpless staff. The receptionist could not distribute a mail because her boss was not there and she was not allowed tho handle the computer. We had to wait until next day to get our mail. Unbelivable!
as we were sightseeing it was a nice quiet base.
The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, it is only 5 minutes walk from the bus depot for getting arround the whole of the island.
Leaving(!) and the spa I was booked to stay for only 4 nights and tried 3 rooms in my time there. The first night they stuck me in the time share apartments .... dirty, smelly, mouldy, other people's laundry blocking the door to (167)my room, I could go on. Next they moved me to a room which wasn't an awful lot better (374). Finally they moved me to a room which was 'ok' (128), but certainly not 4*. Ensure you get a good room!
Was comfortable, nice sea view, good pools, decent food and quiet atmosphere Incompetent staff..we were given the wrong keys at first. When we came all the way down for new keys, were given an average 2-star room. When we complained again, we were given a better room but still slightly inferior to other rooms of the same standard. Not just that our room was located at the far end of the corridor, and quite far from the lifts so was always time consuming going in and out of the hotel.
Great hotel, fantastic position, large & clean rooms, nice staff
Great room. Great view. The beds were uncomfortable. Very hard. Requested queen bed but got twin beds pushed together. Staff seem to be teenagers working during summer holiday and weren't helpful with simple requests like 'where can I get a beach towel?' Although you wouldn't need to ask if the information in the guest directory was correct.
only stayed one night but the staff were very friendly and courteous, place was well maintained
There was no noise in the evenings so no problems getting to sleep. Lovely swimming pools. Very busy dining room, had to wait for a table. Had to change room after one night very small room and no terrace. Next room had no sun on the terrace.
swimmingpool / beach accomodation old fashion furnuture in hotelroom massive breakfast with hunderd of people running for food with awfull coffee
Bathrooms by pool in poor condition
Locations was good. Close to bus station. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. They gave us a horrible room with a useless shower. I complained, then they upgraded us two twin beds. It was like night and day. They never replenished any of the consumables. I would recommend a better hotel. This is more like a three star hotel.
We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The whole atmosphere was very relaxing even when the hotel was busy a conference
We found a little pub on the corner which provided a great meal and drinks and a fantastic price. This hotel was just ok. The air conditioning did not work throughout and we found that the breakfast was not as expected (warm milk etc)
Very nice and helpfull hotelstaff. Good breakfastbuffet. Good location in Qawra/Bugibba. Value for the money it cost. It would have been nice if the aircondition had been a little more effective.
Very friendly staff who really wanted to help you. Room and breakfast perfectly adequate nice and clean. No complaints The lady in reception who was selling us trips was probably not very honest with us. The bus rides took over x4 times what we were told they would and seemed very arduous. All in all the trips were quite expensive and disappointing. When our airport transfer did not show up the girls in receptions' attitude changed very suddenly.
Reception phone was answered promptly and Alex hotel Manager was courteous and made personal enquiry. Reception counter staff took long time to answer your queries at the counter. Internet access was doggy and Food was mediocre. Not 4 star , 3 star status at the most.
Quiet atmosphere in Rooms None
Good value for the money No
Really don't understand the negative reviews. Great hotel, may not be a 4 star, however the rooms were clean, clean sheets and towels every day and breakfast was good as well. Some reviews state that breakfast is the same every day. This might be true, however there is so much to choose from that you could eat something else every day; i.e. 4 different ways in which eggs are prepared, salads, fruits, cereals, bread, toast and so on! I'd definately recommend this hotel!
I really enjoyed the room. It was spacious, modern and clean. Definetely, the restaurant should be improved. The food was unacceptable.
The quality and choice of food was very good and the staff were friendly and accommodating for a couple with young children The room reserved for us had no shower curtain, a bad smell of foul waste and wasnt clean. But the Manager, Alex resolved our disappointment by upgrading us to an apartment and complimentary bottle of wine - This was a good gesture and resolved the issues beyond our expectation. Mr & Mrs Harding-Dempster
Excellent service and very friendly staff. Good location for Buggiba/Qawra with bus services for all over the island.
central location large room very dark ,needs refurbish, air-con in dining room not good enough
it´s located in a quiet area the juice in the morning at breakfast was horrible; on the internet site it says they have laundry facilities, however there is no washing machine in the hotel; for the first 2 days I had to stay in a room without air condition and right next to a power generator (noise); there seemed to be a lack of communication between the staff; the swimming pool could be cleaner
The red illuminated clock could not be switched off.
Breakfast like a *** hotel

Very friendly and helpful stuff, good location, sea-view from the room (requested this into my booking). Many old people, but also a long of young couples. Excellent value for it's price, really enjoyed my stay! No fridge in the room.
The hotel was kept beautifully clean in particular the bedrooms and the dining room Tthe beds were not very comfortable
- It should be allowed tu use the fridge wthout any additional fee or key. Shutting down the ventilator in the bathroom was impossible.
This hotel is a good bet in the St paul's bay area, friendly helpful staff, decent pool, and near to the main bugibba bus station which is great for getting a room. Management responded to my special request via booking.com for a sea view room v quickly, and the view was good. Recommended for the price.
Rooms were nice and clean and towels changed every day, hotel was quiet, breakfast was generous, pool was lovely. mostly elderly couples staying here, not a very happening location for twenty somethings!
Rich breakfast, large rooms, friendly staff
Very well placed near bus terminus to tour the island. Also near good restaurants, The Overflow, Churchills, Incognito. We are always looked after very well. Lovely helpful staff.
I only stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very good I enjoyed it very much.
The location is excellent and this was our main reason for the choice of this hotel. Was none too impressed with half board food so did not choose this option.would choose a better room standard if we stay at the Santana again. The balcony furniture is old and tired looking and needs to be replaced. We did change rooms from the one initially allocated as this was facing a bar on the ground floor of the hotel. There are several choices of room but these are not featured on the web site or that of the hotel.Do your homework and do not accept any room offered.

The hotel staff were efficient and very friendly, the food was excellent and plentifull, the room was clean and of a reasonably size and the shower was fast flowing and the water was always hot the doors leading to the terraces and pool area need renewing which would greately enhance these areas and the sunbeds were dirty, the view from our balcony of the derelict area behind the hotel (full of rubbish) could be cleaned up as it apparently belongs to the hotel.
