Pros: Hotel located next to super market which is also a major stop for "collectivos" mini buses. 5' to the center or 10' to the lake for $1.00/pp. Room was very quiet and nice to have doors opening on the garden side for fresh air. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Premises are clean. Easy parking on front or inside courtyard. Location also a + for hitting the road for local trips[easy inn/out]. The center can really be jammed with traffic.

It’s a half block from the Catheral and within walking distance of museums.
We had dinner at the hotel and was very good.

Pros: The hotel staff is very helpful and answered emails promptly. They were able to reserve a taxi to pick me up from the airport and take me to airport as well at the end of my trip. The hotel restaurant food is very good but a bit slow. The complimentary breakfast is very delicious as well. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The courtyard garden is very beautiful and daily maintained. The location is great. It is very close to an atm, the cathedral, the downtown shops and it's very convenient for catching a taxi.

Pros: It is an extremely beautiful place, classy, elegant, well located, excellent service, when you weak up coffee is set up outside your room. So beautiful that is breathtaking. Bed is comfy, service is outstanding. I have been at hotels that are more expensive but this is the most beautiful hotel that I have been in my life. Last thing , breakfast is included an food is delicious.

Cons: Had an issue when we had dinner, because we asked them to divide the check in 3, we were 3 couples and charged it to our room, and the waiter came back saying the division would not be equal because their system would not let them, we ended paying in cash.

Cons: Our room was very nice but it was next to the cleaning staff room so their noise would wake me in the morning. Not a big deal, but if you want to sleep in make sure you get a room in a quieter spot.

Cons: The design of the rooms is not good. Almost no natural light. Dark wood on many interior surfaces. The lighting is quite terrible. No way to see yourself in the mirror to shave. overall bad design choices.

Cons: The bed was strangely short, but very wide, but otherwise very comfy.

Pros: The room was spacious with a high ceiling and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable. The location was a short walk to the rose garden and the main square which was nice.
Cons: The only window in the room was into the illuminated roofed court and it was opaqued, so there was no way to tell if it was day or night, or if it was sunny or raining. The court somehow amplified all sounds that were heard really loud in the room. In the evenings the young man at the reception was watching TV at high volume, and in the mornings a group of guests spent long hours talking loudly in the breakfast room, all of this made for a loud environment in the room. But the worst part was the noise from the live music bar at the corner which made it impossible to sleep or do anything in the room until 3am.

Cons: No one spoke any english when we checked in. We signed a few pieces of paper which we really didn't understand and the price was about 300 pesos more than the price that was confirmed with booking.com.

Cons: The internet connection was not working during my second stay with the Mision hotel. The staff were so busy with the Independence day celebration that they were unable to solve the problem, so I went without internet services for the day. No big deal, but if you're traveling for business this could be an inconvenience.

Cons: Bizzarely, there was a kitchen but it had no pots, pans, crockery or cutlery whatsoever, so it was completely pointless having one. The hotel is really nice, but could do with some repairs. E.g. I sat on the sofa and fell through it. ( I'm not heavy). Iron didn't work.

I don't know if they aren't wash properly or they are just plain old. The staff is super rude. We arrived with a lot of luggage and with my mom with an injured leg. They guy helped us from door to reception desk. We had to do everything else.
Look for another place if possible.

Cons: They didn't mention the breakfast included with the room. Fortunately I knew about it and went without the required ticket. When presented with a bill for the meal I showed my room key card and the wait staff went to the desk and got a ticket for me. Only one person speaks English but other staff made a good effort and between us we managed.

Pros: A little problem the first night (I think booking.com’s fault) which the two ladies at reception sorted out. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, beautiful room overlooking the plaza. Nice sheets and towels. Nice bathroom. Location was fantastic as only a few blocks away from the Cathedral but Plaza Carmen itself is so peaceful and pretty. Breakfast adequate and is open for quite a few hours. I only meant to spend 2 days in Morelia but landed up staying 4 as I was so content and comfortable with my room and Morelia. I would have stayed a 5th night but they were full. The hotel itself is quite an old building and the owners obviously take care to look after it. Signs up to say quiet after a certain time and it was quiet at night. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Cons: white bread for toast, cereal and instant coffee for breakfast. Echo-ey loud sound in the hotel reception. Had to ask for everything at front desk--towel, extra blanket, and for a room with a window. Rebecca was very helpful, others less so.

Pros: Located in the historic center of town, close to many museums, the cathedral, restaurants and cafes.
Cons: Looked okay and interestingly historical online (and supposedly I chose a room with a balcony when I booked), but we wound up in Harry Potter’s cupboard under the stairs. Tiny, grim-looking room with terrible lighting, no lamps, and no windows to the outside. (We didn’t need it on this visit, but no A/C.) Definitely no balcony. Windows opened on the hall and make it feel very un-private. We had to ask at the front desk for towels. Bathroom smelled like mildew and old drains, and toilet leaked around the base. No shower curtain or enclosure for the water so the whole bathroom winds up wet. Giving two stars for relative cleanliness and proximity to downtown, but you can do a lot better for the same price elsewhere, and a LOT better for ten or fifteen bucks more.

Pros: Very clean and neat! The staff is also very friendly and helpful. It is very, very cheap compared to other hotels in the area.
Cons: It’s noisy! But that’s almost foreseeable when you see they felt the need to put up a sign at the desk that says the lobby is a quiet zone. But we were out from early to late so it was a minimal inconvenience in spite of the fact one chatty guest with a booming voice talked at the top of his lungs early and late.

Pros: A little problem the first night (I think booking.com’s fault) which the two ladies at reception sorted out. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, beautiful room overlooking the plaza. Nice sheets and towels. Nice bathroom. Location was fantastic as only a few blocks away from the Cathedral but Plaza Carmen itself is so peaceful and pretty. Breakfast adequate and is open for quite a few hours. I only meant to spend 2 days in Morelia but landed up staying 4 as I was so content and comfortable with my room and Morelia. I would have stayed a 5th night but they were full. The hotel itself is quite an old building and the owners obviously take care to look after it. Signs up to say quiet after a certain time and it was quiet at night. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Cons: Room is very small and conversations in the lobby area can be heard in the room all day and night. It was not possible to sleep without earplugs. Breakfast is appalling and includes Nescafe and bread but no butter, jam or anything else to have with it.

Pros: Reasonably comfortable, firm beds
Cons: This is not a functioning hostel. A few young boys treat it as their personal party haven and have zero interest in attending to guests. Breakfast is not included since there’s no one around to make it, security lockers are being used by the hostel and are unavailable to guests, there is no drinking water except bottles no one is around to sell, the showers don’t drain and there is no soap in bathrooms, and if you do manage to find someone who works there, you can be sure they’ll treat any interaction with you as a wild inconvenience.

Cons: There's breakfast only when the owner is in charge. My room wasn't cleaned up during my stay. I reserve a room with a full size bed, I got a room with 2 bunk beds.

Pros: Close to the cathedral and main square.
Cons: Breakfast was a joke. The room I was given had dried dirt on the floor and left items under the bed. The top floor bathroom is small and next to a lot of sleeping supplies. The rooftop is not pleasant as in the photos, it actually felt dangerous to be up there. I waited 25 minutes for hot water to come out of the shower head, I left the top floor bathroom and went to the one on the 2nd floor. Pay the extra $10-$15 and stay at a nicer place. This hotel is also on a street that is being renovated so the taxi can’t drop you off.

Cons: They lock the door at night and you have to ring to be let in if you don’t have a key. (Some people were given keys, some weren’t. Not sure why) This was ok with me but another guy staying there was mugged by an opportunist while he waited for the door to be opened.

Cons: Normally there was no one at the front desk to get information from. The front door was often locked during the day so I had to search for someone to let me out. It was very unsettling the first time I returned in the afternoon to find myself locked out. I had to holler loudly to alert someone to let me in every time I returned. I also didn't like that there was no drinking water. I had to go out at night to buy some my first night there.

Cons: The fact that when we arrived, we were told that booking.com had cancelled oyur reservation. We were left with the car parked outside, attracting noises from angry drivers, for about hal;f an hour, until a room was found for us. We were told we'd been upgraded in compensation, but when we were halfway to the room, the plan seemed to have been changed. In the bar several everyday listed items were unavailable, and when I ordered a second bottle of reasonably priced wine, I was told I'd had the last bottle, and was offered three different wines, all about three times the price. Even by Mexican standards, service was slooooooooooow.
