5.8 Okay
Cons: Old rooms. They try to serve a descent dinner but it just does not work. Lousy serving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent receiving and top class breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely traditional building. Our room looked recently decorated and had a little balcony which would be a bonus in the summer. There is a lift which is good if you have a lot of bags. Dinner was very good though only a limited menu as it was a Tuesday night - in France I am happy if the restaurant is open early in the week! The staff were lovely, chatty and very helpful. We used this as a stopover and it was perfect for that and will use it again.
Cons: Would have liked to have the full menu... So will time our visit better next time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Excellent French cuisine. Fantastic value for money.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Parking was good and free, reception very helpful in advance by booking restaurant in town. Check out smooth.
Cons: Probably only let down was the coffee. Not very hot and not really tasting like ground coffee
Hôtel Restaurant Le Parc - Moulins - Building

7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast poor for the cost
7.9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: No lift
5.8 Okay
Pros: A great location if you need the train station - it’s just across the road. The centre of town is also just a short walk away; about 5-10mins walk, with lots to see.
Cons: Decor a little tired, room was small - limited access around the bed and bathroom. Light fittings hanging out of the ceiling (I know they all do that, but not by the bare wires...).
7.9 Good
Pros: parking
Cons: location poor breakfast restaurant closed at 9PM
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice bathroom in the room. The windows in both the bathroom and by the bed opened up to allow the cool fresh air in. We chose this hotel because we had an early morning train to catch. The train station is right across the street..... perfect.
Cons: The room was small.... but since we were backpacking, we didn't need much space for luggage. To be fair..... .......we spent almost no time awake in the room, so it's not like we need more space.
Overview Reviews
In the historic district at the heart of the Auvergne, the Mercure Moulins Centre Hôtel de Paris offers you stays, relaxing breaks, seminars and events. Céphise, a spa with divine treatments, welcomes you to a cocoon of well-being. The Cave à Viandes and its wood grill highlight quality meat. The Chapel dedicated to events and seminars is ideal for receiving up to 300 guests.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, coffee making facilities in room.
Cons: Our room was tatty with curtains hanging off rails and lights hanging off walls but we were moved when we complained. No loungers around pool.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was plentiful and varied, with attention to local products which was good. There is a small outdoor swimming pool which was very welcome after a long hot drive. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom a good size, and the standard room perfectly adequate for a couple, with space to move around. We stayed one night en route but it would be fine for longer periods.
Cons: We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions over the last 15 or so years, and seen it change its decor and renovate its rooms. The current decor features dark red and is rather heavy for my taste whereas a few years ago it was light and fresh. It has now been made part of the Mercure chain, and I fear that the present further renovations/redecoration may see it become rather bland and lose its previous distinctive period charm..... It no longer has a restaurant which was a disappointment, but maybe this will be reinstituted: we hope so, and look forward to seeing the finished article!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the comfort and ambience of a belle epoque hotel at reasonable price. Smart comfortable and quiet rooms. Friendly helpful reception staff
Cons: No restaurant. I arrived Sunday evening. No great problem as there are other places to eat in Moulins. Could be a problem, as I discovered many Moulins restaurants are closed on Sunday evening and the one I chose was full by 19.30. This was my third stay at Hotel de Paris (all good with slight exception of access/patking).
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: no soap in the bathroom.
Cons: no cup to drink a cup of tea.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Tired from the outside, but elegant inside - breakfast room was very De Paris! Staff were great, very helpful and friendly.
Cons: No restaurant.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a short walk from the center. There is a car park and a lift. There is no restaurant but breakfast is fine. The room we had was comfortable, clean and well appointed, but in the roof, so access was via a spiral stair case, difficult with luggage, and anyone over about five and a half feet tall needs to be very aware of the joists.
5.0 Okay
Cons: No dining room in the evening. A gin and tonic cost me 10 £ and it was nothing special ,!
