4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was totally friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us during our stay. The room we booked was good and the bed was great and comfortable. Linen and room were clean as was the bathroom. The hotel store had a small variety of items and was open 24 hours. The Lake Side Waterfront restaurant was right next to the hotel and served a great dinner by great staff. Especially enjoyed the Elk Medallions. It is a little pricy but food and service was well worth it for a Valentine's weekend.
Cons: There were a few things that were disappointing: Issues with the pool/hot tub area caused it to be closed for 2/3's of our three day stay; we arrived early our first morning there to have breakfast at the hotel and paid way too much money for a cold breakfast: cold eggs, cold hash browns, cold sausage gravy and lukewarm coffee. (We were there as only two customers at 6 am when it opened and food was already cold?) It isn't complementary breakfast...We paid for the cold breakfast! Total disappointment for a "Conference Center".

Pros: The location was excellent. We liked having a refrigerator, coffee maker, and a microwave.
Cons: Another bedside table would have been appreciated. The comforter on the bed only came halfway up the bed.
1.0 Poor
Pros: My son really liked the carb heavy breakfast. He thought it was delicious.
Cons: The room was too small for three people. It did not look like the pictures at all. I had to get a roll away for an extra cost (They put all three of us in a king) and there was no room to walk. The staff knew I was unhappy and didn't try to help at all.

Pros: It was clean, and the ambiance was neat.

What gems! And we enjoyed dinner at the Lake House Waterfront Grille that they recommended. The room was spacious with beautiful decorations. The bathroom and sitting areas were wonderful. Cons: Nothing "jumps out" at me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, comfortable beds, pool, friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
1.0 Poor
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Not advertised properly. We were given a room in the back building (older style motel) detached from the actual hotel where the pool and breakfast were. If advertised as a motel, we would've never stayed here. Cold walk to/from pool when wet. Ridiculous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean. Beds were comfortable. Would stay there again
Cons: No negative encounters

Pros: Very good variety for breakfast. Room clean and comfortable. Friendly staff
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Pictures are not accurate at all. We were put in a out side motel looking complex that should have been -- a night and not --- a night. Lots of bugs in the room, which is what you would expect for a motel not a $--- hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Nice hot breakfast with many choices, good value.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: I'm not supposed to eat gluten. Breakfast was meager.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: All staff was helpful and friendly .

Pros: The front desk employee was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and nicely decorated. The shower had great water pressure, and the wifi was strong. Great location, close to a lot of restaurants and local attractions. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Fior the price there wasn't much to not like. It wasn't perfect, but it was definitely a pleasant experience.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was convenient to where we needed to be in the morning. It was clean.
Cons: It was very dark and dated. The breakfast left a LOT to be desired. Looks like owner/manager lives in room behind the front desk. Kind of creepy.
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s pet friendly but there is a 25$ additional fee for pets.

6.7 Good
Pros: Comfy bed, good value
Cons: Incompletely clean i.e. hair dryer dirty, vent fan dirty, trash behind dresser
4.0 Okay
Pros: Host was friendly.
Cons: Reception area smelled awful. Like soy sauce, sweat, and mold all rolled into a day old burrito. After checking in, was afraid to touch anything in the room, which actually ok for the rate. Breakfast was in that awful smelly room. Was charged an extra $50 2 days after checkout with no explanation and refusal to refund.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Price
Cons: The bed was so hard I could not sleep on it and left for home in the middle of the night. Sorry.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good
Cons: Nothing
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location was perfect, central to everything, and the staff was polite and friendly.
Cons: This is NOT a hotel, it’s a 2 story motel. There is absolutely no sound proofing so we heard every single car that drove by all night long, as well as our “neighbors” who stayed up all night talking. Bed was very hard, pillows small. No
7.5 Good
Pros: Pet friendly.
Cons: They charge $25 for pet.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is easy to find. Ample parking and average rooms. This Inn was taken care of and clean. I will stay here again. I had no problems with my stay.

Pros: A delightful spot...even in the middle of winter! Large comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, great fireplace, peaceful, amazing view of the river.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in January. The room with its own fireplace was so comforting and cozy! The bed was very comfortable. At this time of year, the inn also was very quiet and restful.
Cons: I booked a room with a jetted tub hoping for a hot bath during the winter months. Not sure if it was the age of the place or not great cleaning, but the jets in the tub did not look too great. So that turned me off to taking a hot bath. The bathroom itself and room other than that was very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, very clean and truly lovely staff.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean, very comfortable beds, delicious cookies, carmels, breakfast and staff were awesome, can't wait to go back.
Cons: There was nothing not to like, it was awesome.

Pros: Stayed in a beautifully maintained cottage, although no views. Great rate/value obtained by last minute booking in off-season, but that was perfect for our plans. Large, comfortable rooms and well-maintained, very cozy.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a very tastefully and artistically renovated older home, with some older home quirks. The overall decor is wonderful, and Nicole has done very well to elevate and make do with a somewhat challenging layout for this kind of business. She is a fantastic hostess, very caring and considerate of her guests, and her dog, Harley, is quite sweet. Breakfast was superb.
Cons: The only real drawback of the place, which is excellently well situated near Grand Haven, is that it is on the main drag in Spring Lake. If you are a light sleeper, try to get a room at the back of the house. Also, Harley is very much a part of the business, which was just wonderful for us because we are dog people, but might not work as well for others.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. We liked having a refrigerator, coffee maker, and a microwave.
Cons: Another bedside table would have been appreciated. The comforter on the bed only came halfway up the bed.
1.0 Poor
Pros: My son really liked the carb heavy breakfast. He thought it was delicious.
Cons: The room was too small for three people. It did not look like the pictures at all. I had to get a roll away for an extra cost (They put all three of us in a king) and there was no room to walk. The staff knew I was unhappy and didn't try to help at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet. No interstate noise. Beautiful view.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: the pools are great, the room sizes work, and staff is super friendly!!
Cons: the breakfast for the price I don't think is great, and the rooms could be a little cleaner/ updated
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, and the ambiance was neat.
Cons: Hotel is VERY expensive for the quality and age of the rooms. No free breakfast is offered, pool and Jacuzzi close early for weekends and holidays. Location is very weird too. I'd be comfortable spending $--- max for a room, not $--- (after taxes).

Pros: It was clean and comfortable. Lots of choices for breakfast but all high carb.
Cons: There was nothing special about the hotel that warranted the inflated price. We had planned to use the hot tub but it wasn't working.
6.0 Good
Pros: There was a free continental breakfast, a coffee bar 24/7, and cookies. The location was near many businesses.
Cons: Our air conditioning in the room did not work and staff was unable to fix it. (The temperature for our two day stay was about 90 degrees.) The paint around the pool was peeling and stuck to my 6 year old and 7 year old as they swam.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and made up for the room.
Cons: I had to get a different room because the jacuzzi didnt work in the room i booked.
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. It was nice to have so many things to choose from.. The room was spacious and clean! Coffee/tea and cookies are always a nice touch available in the lobby!
Cons: The room could have used maybe 2-3 extra pillows and 1 extra blanket.. There was only 1 pillow and no blankets. Eggs were a bit bland. But there was salt and pepper available so that helped!
6.0 Good
Cons: Rooms were small, hot tub not hot, it did have a complimentary breakfast but I recommend not making eggs and potatoes with all of the extra stuff in them (green peppers, onions) some people do not like that. Overall and average stay nothing extrodinary!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Complementary breakfast was excellent. Front staff was fantastic. We had stayed there during the beginning of our vacation and found it to our liking so much that we stayed there at the end.
Cons: Elevator seemed very slow.

Pros: Everything was great except for two things. See below.
Cons: 1) no hairdryer, but I knew that from my previous stay. 2) plenty of hot water in the shower (a good thing), but no hot water in the sink this morning, making shaving less than joyful. Mentioned at the front desk at checkout and was told that no one else had reported a similar problem. I was satisfied with the response from the desk person.
