I like Location. it is on river Volga.
Nice hotel, convenient location.
Non-smoking room was a room wthout an ashtray. Guests had been smkoking in it until the day we arrived.
The staff of the Oktyabrskaya Hotel were extremely accommodating. I speak very little Russian but it did not matter because the receptionist were very easy to understand and always had answers or would find out the answers to my questions. The hotel was very clean and I always felt very safe. Its location is beautiful; a very scenic view of the Volga river, a short beautiful walk to the Kremlin and not much further to City Center.
The weather was beautiful, but a couple of nights it got a little warm. There was a nice size window in our room, but it had no screen. Luckily the bugs were not bad and the room also had a fan.
The price is quite higher than hotel standard; room is very simple but clean. Staff is nice; good position on Volga
