Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: the room was very clean, had a nice view and the food was amazing. we didn't expect that is was this nice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The design is really amazing - kind of funky, modern, Scandinavian-style interiors in the middle of the Dutch countryside. We had a pleasant, spacious room with big windows and a lot of light. The bathtub in the middle of the room was a nice surprise - although I guess this room only works for couples. The dinner we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. The location is perfect for hikes - a very helpful and friendly lady in the reception gave us the map and told us a little bit about the area, which was great. Overall, a perfect weekend stay!
Cons: Our room was partially overlooking the main street, so we could hear cars a little bit. Not very disturbing though, and a second window overlooked a field.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the staff were so so friendly as if they had known us for years, nothing was too much trouble, the restaurant has a fantastic menu and the food was out of this world, all fresh local produce, the rooms are a little quirky but everything else was to die for .
Cons: rooms are a little on the small size but thats not an issue due to the hotel as a whole being a 10 out of 10
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great (friendly, helpful) staff, good breakfast, esp. since it's a fairly small hotel. Possibility to have a nice dinner in-house was very convenient. Good beer selection. Beautiful environment very fit for hiking.
Cons: The two beds tended to slide apart easily
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful view and nice food,
Cons: Bath room was too small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, very friendly staff, comfortable, everything you need between the days of the Grand Prix
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: staff! cleaningness
Cons: Roomsize is a bit small and there are two single beds on wheels.... so they move....

Pros: Good breakfast with fresh bread
Cons: Rooms very old dated and in need of repairs.
6.3 Good
Pros: The food was very good
Cons: There was no hairdryer or hot drink facilities in the room. The bathroom was funny because the sink was in the bed room
6.7 Good
Pros: Great breakfast, comfortable bed. Dining area clean and modern.
Cons: Room very dated and old fashioned. Shower and toilet area looked very shabby with the wash basin separate in the bedroom. Refurbishment under way but our room had not been done. Scaffolding outside our room. Difficult access to car park. Evening meal very expensive so we went elsewhere to eat.

Pros: Price and comfort of accommodation. The food was of good quality if expensive.

Pros: Perfect hospitality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was wonderful. Personal service by the patron and staff was first class. The area hotel was situated was beautiful.
Cons: No Coffee or tea in rooms
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We discovered this little gem by accident as we intially were looking for a city hotel in Maastricht. As we decided quite spontanous for a weekend trip we encountered some difficulties to find a nice and affordable hotel. That’s somehow why we checked for a stay in the surroundings of Maastricht. We surely do not reget our choice. It‘s a small tradionnal but charming house. The restaurant and hotel are family run. The owners are making you feel welcome and feel relax from the arrival on. The room was clean, comfortable and calm. The restaurant and the food were great. Nice quality and good value for your money. We can highly recommend it. Norbeek is a nice little town in a idyllic scenery in the hills of Limburg, only a few minutes drive from Maastricht. This region is beloved by cyclist, hikers or people who wants to flee from the city life stress.
Cons: The beds were bit too soft in our opinon. But we still slept well. The staircase is very steep (no elevator available), this might be problematic for those who have any handicap.

Pros: Big parking, clean, efficient, good price
5.0 Okay
Pros: People working there were very friendly and very helpful.- Every morning offering different style of eggs.- The heating with Thermostat in the room was working well.
Cons: to hang clothes is catastrophic - it is redicoulos whats beeing offered in the room.- We had 2 coats , a suit for a wedding , several good Shirts and blouses.- Not enough hangers - the Things fell to the Floor very often…. - The window is too small...we felt like beeing in a Prison.- (also..but that has Nothing to do with the hotel itself : we stayed 4 nights , the last morning a marten had bitten thru some rubber hoses of the car motor….so we had to get it fixed in a Garage....93 Euros...)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Reasonable price to stay. Large parking in front of the hotel.
Cons: Not perfect cleaning in the bathroom though others were perfect.
8.0 Excellent

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Property was double booked
7.5 Good
Pros: The spa area was amazing. We really enjoyed our time spent there.
Cons: We just found the hotel area to be really dated. The breakfast order wasn’t taken twice and when they did deliver the breakfast there was never any salt. They were always empty.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The pool area is big and not packed.
Cons: The hotel doesn't deliver the experience that we were expecting, for a 4-star hotel. Everything is not 4 star, in all details. The pool was nice, but it not worth it the money. Also, they charge you for everything, even simple things like flip flops to use in the pool area. The access to the room is poor, also the room itself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant place to relax as well as travel to local towns; Valkenburg, Aachen & Maastricht. We only had breakfast & lunch at the hotel which were both good.
Cons: Queuing for breakfast, room not big enough. Robes and slippers not included in rooms, had to hire these.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: + fluffy bed, pillows and carpets; + delicious breakfast, a lot of options; + Welness centre has a lot of space and options to do. The restaurant Senses on the sight is a marvelous bohemic place to relax inbetween sauna sessions; + Beautiful location, a stroll away from the old town.
Cons: - the hotel guests have to pay extra 14 euros for parking, that is a ripp-off, cause I don't see a point why a hotel should charge you extra for parking; - if you make reservation via booking.com, check weather the hotel is providing you with extra amenities like bathrobes, bed preferencies ect. cause in our case if we wouldn't point out to the lady at the desk that we had bathrobes included we would be paying extra.

4.0 Okay
Pros: - Location - Facilities (if open)
Cons: - Cleaning Staff blaming us when we complaint about the wrong opening time of the spa. - Renovation - Unprofessional staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Classy hotel with some areas a little outdated. But overall very nice and will stay there again if in Valkenburg. Hotel has a Very nice swimming pool and sauna. Nice bar and restaurant with a view and a short walk (5 mins) to the center with all restaurants and bars!
Cons: Would prefer a room with a double bed, but only had room with 2 single beds which were next to each other. Not ideal for a couple but great for friends. Breakfast only available with full breakfast at 18 euro each. Would have liked to enjoy breakfast with a smaller offering.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Did not have any meals during our short stay. Magnificent indoor swimming pool.
1.0 Poor
Cons: I will never go back in this hotel. I booked a room in this hotel for 2 nights during the Christmas holidays, and I paid a total amount of 450€ (around 200€ per night). When I made the online reservation, I accepted to pay this price because I really expected a service & room quality of a 5-star hotel but, instead, my wife and I had the impression to be in a (maximum) 2-star hotel. First, one of the bed lamps was out of order, and the ceiling light was so dim that it was very difficult to read one’s book in the bedroom. Additionally, the number of TV channels was very limited (most basic TV package of the Netherlands). I mentioned these three problems two times at the reception, but nothing has been done, and, of course, not even a word of excuse, though I had been promised that a technician would intervene. But more important is that the room is old-fashioned, the noise insulation provided by the window is largely insufficient (we could clearly hear the movement of vehicles passing along the road nearby), and the noise insulation provided by the very basic door is even more insufficient (I woke up suddenly at 3 o’clock in the morning, simply because two guests came back at the hotel and talked a bit loud), and the width of the duvet on the bed was insufficient. Not to mention, the lack of communication skill from the hotel manager who cut short our exchange of e-mails simply because she didn't like the tone of my message. Incredible ! There are plenty of hotels in Valkenburg. You will easily find one that is half the price of what I paid, and of a much better quality. When I selected Hotel Park, I automatically thought that the price would be in line with the quality and service that anybody can expect for 200€ per night, especially in an area like Valkenburg, which is not a big city. Instead, we have been given a basic, old-fashioned, dark, gloomy room, whose price is largely overrated. We have clearly been cheated. This is not honest.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing

8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a nice view on the little River on the back that was nice, it has a pool which is nice and warm with a bar good to round up your busy shopping day :) Breakfast was pretty good especially for only 6,50€ a person, big parking in front of the door ideal! Little supermarket on the other side of the parking lot and right at the city center
Cons: The room was a bit too cosy, but okay for one night, the bathroom was a bit outdated but again okay for one night.
8.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Cons: Room on highway side
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Diverse selection of food and all top quality.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet
Cons: nothing to dislike
4.0 Okay
Pros: Parking space
Cons: Beds separated and created a hole between.rs Mini bar had only 2 water's in it. Elevator was so old I could not believe it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to Chemelot site
4.0 Okay
Pros: The bar has a nice selection of drinks at reasonable prices, and a very small selection of unhealthy Dutch snacks.
Cons: Shower drain smelt so bad that it wafted into the bedroom area if I left the door open. However it was fixed once I complained. The hotel is literally next door to the chemelot petrochemical plant complex, so if you like your fresh air I suggest you look elsewhere. The gym has no water machines (is it just me? I assumed all gyms had free water so you don't dehydrate) so either take your own water or be prepared to pay a stupid hotel rate for a small bottle of H2O! The formal dining area is not particularly relaxing & serves over priced small portions, it gets very boring by day 2!
Hotel & Restaurant Kasteel Elsloo - Stein - Building
9
8.3 Excellent (1,024 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotel & Restaurant Kasteel Elsloo in Elsloo, you'll be 10 minutes by car from Steinerbos. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
1.0 Poor
Cons: The Kastel isn't prepared for travels who have travelling bags cause there is no left to go upstairs. The stair is very tight and only can fit one person. It is good for one night stay since it has a lot of beautiful places around. The breakfast was very poor and doesn't have a lot of options. The photos posted in LinkedIn doesn't describe the actual look of the hotel, you will be very surprised once you arrived. Overall, it wasn't great experience due to the facts above.
7.5 Good
Pros: The stunning location and property. The staff was very helpful and very friendly!!!
Cons: The bathroom was not clean , the bedding had a stain on it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building, enough parking spaces, quiet location
Cons: Ok breakfast, thin windows
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambience
Cons: Mattress was very lumpy & soft
7.0 Good
Pros: The overall feel, style & restaurant were very good value for money. Location is good and Elsloo is well situated. Very quiet and peaceful location.
Cons: Stayed in 2 different rooms with mattresses in both rooms being soft & lumpy. The 2nd room was either too cold, or too hot. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room which was a bit of a problem. Limited power points but this is down to the historic nature of the property.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Bad WiFi, bad beds and arrogant staff.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: It is totally different from what you see in the pictures. Rooms are not cleaned. There are no facilities in the room. You don't feel that you are staying in the castle!!!! I won't recommend it AT ALL!!!
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Breakfast at 11euro mediocre, very little choice Room above the restaurant is very noisy. Bathroom is very small.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay. And the food in restaurant was excellent.
7.9 Good
Pros: The restaurant serves good food and the location of the hotel is awesome
Cons: Room was a little small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint clean and decorated so nice. Needed nothing. Had everything!! Great location from train station - 10 minute walk. Right in the middle of the Christmas market.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was very good in the restaurant and it had a lovely atmosphere. We liked the fact that there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well as a fridge
Cons: Could have done with bedside table as he shelf was a little delicate and a maybe somewhere to put clothes but not unhappy with that as furniture would have reduced the space.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff is very friendy and helpfull. The breakfast is good, enough choice for all (bread, toast, meusli, fruit, ham, cheese...). The interior of the restaurant is very nice. We did not have the opportunity to have dinner, but we saw happy faces in the restaurant when we pass.
Cons: We had a room in the roof, and it was little cold and very small bathroom. And the stairs were very narrow. Not easy to bring your luggage up and down. Good for short stays. For a stay of a week i would prefer a bigger room.

6.7 Good
Pros: Comfy bed, clean great location. Car park
Cons: Very noisy from road outside and also from other rooms! Coffee machine in room, no coffee/ tea/cups. Room was across the road from the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and close to everything. Staff are friendly.
Cons: No front photo in the website. I missed it twice the night I’m looking to check in.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location was very central with good access to everything we wanted to visit.
Cons: There was no hot water for 2 days. In the middle of winter this is unacceptable. And it shouldn't be an issue for hotel guests to be showering around the same time in the morning. Hotel plumbing should be well equipped to deal with this!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in two buildings, the hotel building at one side of the street and on the other side a dependence with other rooms. We stayed in the dependence. Furthermore the hotel has a large private parking next to the building. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, although noise from the other rooms can be heard. Excellent was the breakfast where a large choice of options is available. The location of the hotel is very good, just a few hundred meter away from all main attractions of Valkenburg.
Cons: No negative comments.
Appartementen Valkenburg - Valkenburg - Building
12
8.1 Excellent (328 reviews)

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice appartement with everything you need. On walking distance from city center.
Cons: You need to get the key at the hotel, few hundred meters further.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great choice for a family. We were able to prepare simple meals with the equipment in the kitchenette (microwave, hobs, kettle...) The breakfast up at the hotel up the road was abundant including yummy pancakes! And the pool/sauna facilities were great. The outdoor pool was open as well but we didn't use it- too cold ;) Plenty of towels provided for this purpose.
Cons: Slightly leaking sink in the bathroom meant there was a bit of a wet floor at times.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, right next to the Christmas area! Not noisy. It was clean with enough towels to use. The rooms are spacious. It is a bit expensive for what you get, but I mean with the location I guess it's fair enough since we were during the Christmas period.
Cons: The matrassen were too soft for us. One thing that was quite unclear for us was that we needed to pick up the keys at a different place. It is not too far, but it would be great if there is more information about this while booking. Also, we thought that there was nog parking spot available because there is none at the apartments, but there is at the hotel! Which is really nice - if you know. It would be great for future guests to receive an e-mail in advance with all this information.
7.1 Good
Pros: We were very close to the town and it's restaurant s. The town is well worth a visit.
Cons: Collection of the Key is complex. The key collection is from the reception of s hotel and is on the 3rd Floor which was difficult to locate.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location only a short walk from the centre of town
Cons: Appartment at top of six flights of stairs
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Although the household stuff has not good condition but that was quite clean. You can reach every kind of restaurant by couple of minutes.
6.7 Good
Pros: I liked the fact that it was an apartment with a lovely garden and a swimming pool.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location in this beautiful little town, within 2 minutes of restaurants and shops. Friendly staff and the room was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Definitely go back.
Cons: Nothing not to like. If we had to be picky we never received info. re free admission to Casino and they omitted to tell us that the hotel locked its doors at 11.00pm -we had to work out how to get in ourselves. Minor issues!!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is great and very close to all restaurants. A/C is in the room and it actually worked.
Cons: I don't understand why this hotel has good reviews for food. The breakfasts were mediocre at best. No variety at all. It was the same omelette, boiled eggs, bacon, and some sliced meat and cheese. There was also bread, jam, cereal, some yoghurt and cut fruit. But no fresh vegetables or salads at all, during all our stay. Coffee was really bad too. Food was so disappointing we wanted to go to the restaurant instead. Staff - staff would open the doors and come to our room WITHOUT knocking, WITHOUT us asking for them to come. They would just open the door, come in and ask if we had anything from the mini bar. What?! No "excuse me, is anyone here? Can we come in?", no "sorry but we were doing some checks and wondered if it was you who needed...", nothing. And that happened SEVERAL TIMES during our stay. We didn't feel like we had privacy at all, this had never happened in a hotel before. Who comes to a room without knocking?! That is very unprofessional and unacceptable.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was fine as directly in the heart of the small city; breakfast was nice
Cons: Extremely small rooms, bed super uncomfortable (totally soft mattress, couldn’t sleep and had backpain next morning ), you hear everything from the neighbor room. Elevator so old like from the 50ies, one must be afraid to get stuck. When entering the building in the afternoon, a strange smell (sewage?) in the entrance hall welcomed us. Bar already closed at 11pm, you don’t get even a glass of water at that time. But the real ‘highlight‘ was the head of reception, an elderly lady, who was yelling at us when we politely asked to change rooms as we couldn’t sleep on the mattress. She couldn’t help here, which can be the case, but no service staff ever treated us like this, this behavior you don’t even expect from staff in a youth hostel, offensively starting a conversation with guests with ‚what do you want from me?‘ while already raising her voice. Still shocked. 4 Stars?!? 135 Euro / Night?!? No comment. Never again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Suite: big bath just like in the pictures, spacious suite, good breakfast,
Cons: Too much green, the decor is really outdated, while the bar is super modern, the rest is not. Needs updating on the room, green carpet and walls everywhere, orange curtains, too hot in the room
6.0 Good
Pros: The overall impression of hotel was good. Location excellent and parking fee OK. The room was big enough for a family of 4 people.
Cons: Our room had a strong smell of sewage throughout the stay. No smell in the bathroom, but only in the main room. Interior and carpets dated in public spaces. The breakfast was quite basic.
6.0 Good
Pros: Hello everyone. I would recommend you to think over other options to say in Valkenburg. Let me start with the positive things: - The hotel is located in the city center, 50 meters from the main street, full of restaurants; - They have their own parking lots, but you need to pay for that - something lime 11 EUR - not bad; - Super-fast check-in and check-out, everything is ready for your visit; - The cleanest bathroom I've ever seen in the hotels ever. Literally sterile; - Comfortable bed and pillows!. -Quote room. I would say - if you above 50, that is the perfect place for you.
Cons: Honestly, I was expecting something more from the Scandinavian 4 start hotel. It looks like an old-fashioned German 4 start hotel. therefore the price is not correlated with the quality. Breakfast is poor and very standard. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages... cheese, ham and generally that is all.
6.0 Good
Pros: staff were very friendly and all spoke good english.
Cons: felt that did not get great value for money. essentially payed 190 euro's a night for a big room, which was advertised as a junior suite. no tea or cofee and the bed was two pushed together with two single quilts.not very romantic!! no problems with the staff and location was good!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We found the hotel and personnel very positive and helpful. We will stay again at some point.
7.6 Good
Pros: Good location in the city center. Just a hundred meter to the castle ruin and cableway, few minutes to get street with many restorants. Room was species, very comfortable and clean. Parking ability is close to the hotel (public, free at night). very helpful personal. Good ratio between price and the quality.
Cons: Not so rich breakfast. Just a few choice but price is equal (just 5 Euro or something like that).
6.0 Good
Pros: Location to the Valkenburg shopping/restaurant areas.
Cons: The breakfast meal price was included in the room, but the breakfast itself was very short on imagination and food.
5.6 Okay
Pros: The buffet had a large array of foods. They gave our three year old a toy (rubber ducky) which she loved. The hotel was close to the Valkenburg caves. We walked easily there.
Cons: Dated furniture, non-working radio. Room-service only could offer tomato soup and french fries.
6.4 Good
Pros: good organized, all formalities for check-in were already prepared. excellent service, kitchen and quality of food
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: no
7.6 Good
Pros: Good central location, extremely friendly staff, everything worked, everybody was helpful and friendly.
Cons: Limited breakfast selection, it is not as close to the castle as it looks on the picture (not that this would be an advantage).
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful
Cons:
6.4 Good
Pros: The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is perfectly located in the city center with dozens of restaurants at a rocks throw away.
Cons:

Cons: nothing serious. the lift was a little old school and a bit scary, and the rooms werent sound proof. but i think thats the charm of classic interior.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location and friendly staff. The room was tidy and comfortable.
Cons: Shower was quite small. Further, the person in the room next to me snored so terribly that I could hear it in my room without stop. The walls are not thin, but it did affect my stay.

Pros: Great breakfast, comfortable bed. Dining area clean and modern.
