OLD HOTEL NEED TO BE CLOSED AND UPDATE

I don’t usually write these but .. I didn’t come to this hotel with a high level of expectation . I did not however think it would have a roach infestation problem. The restaurant was closed. The room was of ample size but very dated.tv didn’t work, no big deal. The guys that work the towels and chairs were very friendly and courteous . Some of the front desk people were nice as well. The pool bar was very old looking and actually kind of depressing. Food at pool bar was not good at all. Valet parking was not too good either, at one point they brought me the wrong car. I’m struggling to find nice things to say. The beach in sunny isles is fantastic..

Pros:The room we were in was a 2 room suite (room 1001) and it was beyond perfect for our large family with 3 small children. it had a full kitchen with everything you could need (almost) . 2.5 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms It even had a washer and dryer and dishwasher. The kitchen had most items you would need like can opener, bottle opener, microwave etc. The location was perfect. The Walgreens across was a great place for food, snacks, drinks, and even some fresh items. Lots of restaurants to choose from right there. Staff was very nice all around.
Cons:The one and only sharpish kitchen knife was old, dull and broken (dangerous). The room was not ritzy and definitely outdated. It was very windy when we were there and the wind whizzed in through the old window frames which made it loud and a little hard to sleep. They did not put out the breakfast buffet. It was all back in the kitchen and you just ordered it. I really would have appreciated a coffee bar downstairs in the morning. if you ask they will bring it to you for free in the lobby but you can't just pour it yourself.
