Friendly staff, good value, central position in a lovely town, clean and comfortable. The smoked-glass mirror on the wardrobe was impractical. a suitcase stand would have been helpful. minor points but small irritations on the day.
The location was very good.
Nice comfortable room, nice stylish 17.century building Not many regional cheese in the breatfast
location and value for money (free internet and reasonable breakfast cost) television limited - would have liked CNN or BBC for news
Excellent location, in city centre of Obernai, spacious rooms, clean and large bathrooms, nice building and ideal starting location for exploring the Alsace region by car.
place hotel -in center town and dezign in hotel and rooms no in room and in bathroom bags for garbag!!!glases!!!soap and sampoones!!!no frigobar!!!!
The hotel was well located in the beautiful city of Obernai. Perfect for a family trip to the Alsace. We stayed in one of the family rooms which was comfortable and enjoyed it very much. Great service and great quality!
A nice hotel in the heart of the old town, clean, comfortable room, good breakfast served, very helpful staff, especially when supplying us with directions when we needed to get some unexpected essential items from the local supermarket and when we needed to order a last minute return taxi to the airport, because the train we were scheduled to get had been cancelled due to industrial action.
The town of Obernai is beautiful and the hotel in the middle of it all+ The pillows are quite small and too soft ... but had a great sleep regardless : )
The quietness and the nice modern amenities not far from the wine route. The best alternative to Strasbourg so far. Good breakfast.
Hotel is in the center of the city. Public parking is next to the hotel. Access to the parking - impossible to enter with a middle-class car. public parking is next to the hotel.
Perfect locaed, quite and charming. Very good restaurants around.
good location, nice room
Relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast, comfortable beds, the openess towards pets. I missed a water boiler in the room (for out of bar opening hours). Somewhere to hang towels to dry. The hotel invites the guests to save on the laundry by only putting the towels on the bathroom floor if the guest wanted new ones. However I hung the the towels over the back of a chair and still they were changed. About changing the beds, I can easily sleep in the same linnen for 3 nights ( the length of our stay) and I found it abit silly to change just for the last night.
Great location, very comfortable hotel, would stay there again Underground carpark was small, but useable
Great location in the heart of the town. Modern hotel that has maintained a traditional exterior. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was a good size and very clean. Had to paying for parking, and getting into the underground carpark is not for the faint of heart.
Location and helpfull staff. Parking
this should be called a spa hotel. With an amazing pool, sauna and stram sauna free of charge for guest, this hotel gets top ratings. The staff is also very kind and service minded.
Beautiful location in the Alsace
Very comfortable quiet hotel in good location. Good food at dinner and at breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities including attractive indoor swimming pool and sauna. Choice of two restaurants - wine bar type and gourmet. Good position for ease of walking to other establishments in the town.Upgraded to better room than booked.
An excellent location in a delightful town, The evening meal in the restaurant was of the highest quality. I really think that the breakfast should be included in the not insubstantial cost of the room.
the whole package / room / spa / restaurant
very nice spa service and refill at the breakfast buffet could be better
the outstanding junior suite and for the restaurant: the best sommelier we ever had breakfast to expensive (17 euro)
Very spacious bedroom, good restaurant and wines, nice swimming pool and spa, friendly staff, great location near to town Loud talking and shouting in garden of house next to hotel till 3am in morning kept us awake in both bedrooms we'd booked, hopefully we were just unlucky.
Centrally located, rooms clean but small, staff friendly, food in restaurant mediocre, value for money questionable. Accessability by car is quite difficult, but once you have reached the place parking is adequate.
The hotel was ideally placed for a short 20 minute walk into town. The rooms were clean and there was a lovely swimming pool with pool towels available from reception.
The fully fenced large yard where children and dogs could play and adults relax. Beautiful bike / walking path into town. Good security.
pool and garden
Fine hotel just outside the old town centre, yet not within comfortable walking distance if you are with young children. The hotel has a lovely garden and a pool. The hotel staff was very friendly. We stayed in a duplex room for 4 persons which consisted of 2 levels, with a very spacious master bedroom on the upper level.
Pleasant hotel with nice grounds and pool, ten to fifteen minutes walk from the town centre. Nice views from the balcony. Good, secure parking. Our balcony was very close to the adjacent room's balcony with no screening and the guest in this room woke us up in the middle of the night making mobile telephone calls from his balcony.
The gardens around, the swimming pool, and the rooms in general. We'll come back definitly this summer No
Within easy walking distance of the centre of town. Easy to find by car. Comfortable with lovely helpful staff.
The town. Ambience. Helpful staff.
Clean and quiet, helpful staff.
Nice environment, friendly staff, facilities.
Very quaint hotel. We got there after midnight (you need to call them if you are coming late), but the hotel staff was very welcoming and supportive. We had quadruple room, and it was a two story room. Downstairs had a double bed, wardrobe and a writing desk, upstairs had two single beds (put together), a tiny walk-in closet and a bathroom with a bathtub. Also the AC was attached on the wall only on the upstairs. Our room was all the way to the top of the hotel, so going up stairs was a little bit tiring after the long road trip, but it was OK with me. Free parking outside was close enough to the hotel and the town of Obernai was very cute. There was no hot food at the breakfast. The bathroom door didn't close all the way.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Located in the center of town. We would stay here again. Breakfast a bit expensive.
place is good no elevator
fantastically helpful staff, real charachter building-not expensive
Relaxed family atmosphere, very welcoming, comfortable bed, good cuisine, would stay there again, excellent choice of hotel None
Convenient for our frequent transit from England to Switzerland, very friendly and helpful staff, finding a parking space is the only problem
The breakfast was ample, the room very quiet, the staff were helpful and its location is right in the centre. Good value for money. The room was a bit small - we came by motorbike and there was very little room for our luggage - but this was compensated for in other ways.
Excellent value for money. Clean comfortable room, lovely central location, friendly staff. You need to use some initiative to park if you come by car.
The diner was exelent! The noice early in the morning on the little road that pass the hotel. There is a contruction site on the road so a lot of trucks. The bathroom was not clean! The standard rooms have only 1bed, so have to take a more expensive room when you arrive there and you don't want to sleep in one bed!
this is our fourth visit and it gets better each time. The family influence is crutial.
The hotel was in a pretty village and offered excellent food.
Quiet location, very clean with good food and caring owner. I felt they should price the room to include continental breakfast as they charge 13 Euros perperson and if you only have coffee, juice and a bread that amount seems excessive.
Very clean, very nice, charming hotel; would definitely stay hear again and would recommend to others; definitely a ten.
Room was very new and absolutely spotless. Right in the centre of town and about a 5min walk from the free car park. It's not actually a 'hotel' - more so private apartments. You have to go to the hotel across the road to check in. This wasn't a bad thing at all but it really should be noted on the hotel info as we were confused and it took us awhile to figure out how to check in. Also, the room wasn't ready until 4pm which is quite considering the hotel didn't appear to be fully booked.
Cleanliness of the room and hotel facilities, excellent friendly and very helpful staff, position in town, facilities in the room itself (including international TV channels), access to sauna and fitness suite. We chose an apartment to have the flexibility of eating and relaxing, and it was a great idea. The apartment was spacious, the bathroom and shower very large, and the kitchen area well equipped. Overall, an excelent stay and would not hesitate to go again. The garage entry and exit is slightly awkward if you have a big car. The apartment needed a coffee machine, but was otherwise very well equipped.
it is newly renovated and nicely designed. in the very centre of the town we were charged extra 3euros for no reason, since did not use a minibar, but it appeared on the creditcard
The appartments are completely new and look fantastic. Everything is there: kitchen, nice big bathroom, nice television etc. Beds are really good. It gave us a great feeling to stay in the appartment and also Obernai is really a lovely place to stay with nice restaurants. It´s close to Strasbourg, so easy to go there and to do some shopping. Nothing.
Very stylish, clean room. Cable internet available. Not a real complaint but you have to know that Le Pavillon 7 doesn't have a hotel reception. You have to go to Hotel Le Colombier which is just in front of Le Pavillon 7. The breakfast is served over there and costs 12 EUR.
The fact that as it was very cold, many people liked to stay around the bar late afternoon, and they had a fire that added to the ambience. Not really
Amazing location I would like to see the spa facilities stay open until late in the evening and not until 7pm... I was busy all day and coming back and not being able to relax this way it was somewhat frustrating!
Surroundings were beautiful, although it was a shame that the weather was not so good to enable us to enjoy them more. Children's menu availability.
Luxury accommodations, but affordable. Good staff.
Very attentive and catered well to babies and families Breakfast was a bit pricey and the only option at the hotel.
The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The room maintenance was very good with an evening turndown service etc Yes - beware we were seriously over charged in both the restaurant and in the bar. When we asked them to explain the bill it had no relation to the prices listed and they could not explain why it had happened - very mysterious - keep an eye on all costs you sign off.
well appointed rooms, excellent meals the spa facility is marginal at best. Improperly trained staff and poorly ventilated, with limited spa menu. Americans are used to much more in a proper "spa".
Indoor pool is so beautiful and comfortable! Of course the buiding itself is very nice, but the surrounding garden is also nice. The restaurant was a little bit too busy for timely service.
The building itself is wonderful but the staff made it a very wonderful stay!
beautiful building and surroundings with superb service, food and staff nothing whatsoever...except we did not stay long enough
Very nice accomodation. All the hotel staffs were not really as friendly as the reception.
very comfortable, access by public transport - bus no 2 from the Gare Centrale - should be indicated
Comfortable and friendly
Very restful and quiet. Excellent linked restaurant.
very helpfull reception personel, excellent breakfast, very good location and cosy atmosphere
This hotel was our second stop of a holiday drive from the UK,through France, Switzerland and Italy. We wanted to stay somewhere different in style each time. We liked the character of the building and furnishing. The owner and staff were very pleasant. A note of advice: if you decide to eat out in Barr we would advise you to avoid Le Brochet restaurant. Admittedly we speak very little French, but up to then we had managed to to make ourselves understood in shops and restaurants. The staff was very unhelpful and the food not up the standard of the pice we paid. In fact that was the worst meal we had out of the 19 days vacation.
Nicely retouched DEcor, GreatBreakfast (9Euros too much if you eat modestly) and free Parking...there was an ancient printer downstairs and when it finally printed an illegible google map some little computer parts came out with the paper (they wanted .50 Euros per Page) WIFI was often non-responsive trouble signing on, which had to be done repeatedly (the code changed all the time) we gave up in the end in our two night stay... there was a computer downstairs which helped...no Lift We were in room 14 three floors up...Nothing open in the town had to go to Obernai for shopping...We went to the Winstub de Manoir recommended by the staff, got ill after Escargo or Mushrooms? The cook seems to be a Family member ?????
Cosy romantic rooms. Excellent secure car parking. The breakfast was excellent, wide choice & good quality. The rooms do get very warm during the summer.
Nice, relaxed attitude e.g help yourself tea in the afternoon, free internet access, good breakfast buffet, good location & plenty of parking.
very friendly and charming old manoir that has been lovingly restored and reasonably priced.
The village of Barr was a very pleasant surprise as we chose for its access to Strasbourg. It was quite easy to drive into the Strasbourg 'park and rides' for a visit. Our room was a family room ( two additional beds, two seater settee, easy chair, and casual table) although we were only a couple. As a result it was a little cluttered for our liking.
well situated very expensive restaurant
Hospitallty and got an excellent spa and relaxing enviorment. No
Gastromic delight, the guest is always paramount importance, food expensive but it's art after all, wonderful maitre de, he makes it tick. Would stay again without hesitation, pretty village, rooms very comfortable and clean.A little treasure find.We were upgraded to suite, arrived late after last service for dinner, they made the chef stay and cook for us, that's service.
The room was spacious, but we did have a suite in the newer part of the hotel. The breakfast while moderately expensive was excellent and comprehensive. The hotel had free parking for guests in close proximity. The hotel did not have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The heating did not work and could not be fixed over the weekend, despite daytime 15 to 16C dropping to 4 to 6C overnight. Reception was a long way away in the next building. "Free WiFi throughout the hotel" was incorrect; it operated only at Reception?bar area. In the rooms it was commercial Swisscom at exorbitant rates. The Restaurant was hugely expensive, more than many Michelin one stars, with good but not great food.
