Pros: Nice hotel. Good location
Cons: The hotel charged us vat tax although we are tourists and are exempt from tax
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hacienda is located on a beautiful piece of ground, on the shores of a lake (Lago Negro) surrounded by mountains. There is plenty to do there such as Kayaking, Fishing, Hiking (for a beautiful view of the 3 lakes), Canopy, Horse riding...You can also play pool, table tennis, baby foot, badminton or ride bicycles or spend time cuddling the cats and dogs or just relax and enjoy the piece and quiet and the sun when it’s out. In the evening we would enjoy the sauna with a quick dip in the lake (there is also a hot tub) as well as our cozy family room with the easy-to-use fire place and the comfortable beds with warm and fluffy duvets (or quilts), perfect for the cold Patagonian nights. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the food is good and the rooms are very clean. We finally decided to extend our stay rather than hitting the tiring road again. The location of the Hacienda is actually also to visit the surroundings of the Lago General Carrera. It’s about 1 hour away from Puerto Río Tranquilo, the starting point for a visit to the amazing Marble Caves or an excursion to the Exploradores Glacier or the Laguna San Rafael. It’s 15mns away from Puerto Guadal from where you can book an excursion to the Glacier Los Leones (boat or hike+boat). And it’s 20mns away from Puerto Bertrand where the Río Baker starts (for rafting and fishing). And so much more...The landscape is beautiful in this area, the colors of the water are surreal and you’re in amazement every single day!
Cons: One should keep in mind that this is Patagonia and access is a real challenge: access to internet, access to fresh and diverse food (especially fruit and vegetables) etc. And the road is tiring, so take a break and stop for a little while...you will not regret it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place! In comparing with all other hotels this one is totally fantastic. First of all - very cozy and comfortable homes with fireplace. You can enjoy with view of the lake through glass walls Food. It’s really high cuisine. Chef from New York and you really can enjoy every piece of food. Service. We had horse trip, kayak, zip line and all of this in one hotel, and not only this. You can choose what ever you want! And horses, there are a lot of them free living in the hotel territory Thank you, for this rest

Pros: Beautiful location, great facilities, very friendly staff, delicious food and excellent value for money. Try the four hour horseback riding - four lakes, offered by the hotel. You will experience incredible views of the four lakes and will feel like a drone flying over turquoise lakes and the peacefulness radiating from the beautiful trees is something we will not forget for a very long time.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: attention - lay out of rooms

Pros: Lovely room. Stunning views over lakes and mountains. Great hikes straight from the door. Spotlessly clean.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous decor, location, views and staff. The breakfast and dinners we had at our two night stay were very good. We especially liked the hikes that you can do on the property. We recommend the 4 hour hike for really fabulous Views of the Andes and two hanging glaciers. All on your own except for the lodge dog who is your guide for the hike. We had a really lovely stay.
Cons: All was great
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great about the lodge, it was our highlight of our trip along the Carretera Austral. We especially enjoyed meeting the family and all the attention to detail in the cabin. Great location, breakfast and dinner. Would go there again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the accommodations (stayed in a room, not a cabin); the views, the lamb on a spit arranged by the property, the horse riding, the pisco sours. We would go back.
Cons: Breakfast was nothing special, nothing that particularly cried “local”. Or regional. There is a certain assumption that they will set up your meals and activities so you need to be sure to tell the. When you want to ride, or whether you will be dining that day, etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views from our room and from the joint sitting room in casa lenga, the infrastructure, the lamb on a spit set up by the lodge for their guests, horseback riding, the many beautiful places to sit, the pisco sours, friendly staff, attentiveness of Paula whom we never met but who was very helpful via gmail as we set up our trip, the garden, etc etc. Would definitely repeat.
Cons: The breakfast didn’t give you a sense of having been sourced (butter, thin slices of ham, cheese) locally which in the case of such a lovely lodge can certainly be improved on.
