Limited options for breakfast
The room was very comfortable with an enormous couch against the wall. Lots of lighting and plugins. Staff was super friendly and helpful. A 5 minute walk from the Moscone Convention Center.
All the construction
There was nothing in the room telling you where pool, ice machine etc the restaurant was closed due to construction and than I valleted my car I had arrived at midnight and no one said it was $70 a night. But the staff went above and beyond for me
The beds were super comfortable
The construction around the hotel made it difficult to check in and out and connect with our Uber. There wasn’t a clear space to walk that wasn’t full of debris
I was disappointed to find the hotel under construction...not as pictured, bar... outside patio while everything was new, I felt as a designer it was a bit overdone... felt like I was in a Victoria secret dressing room... walking to cable car.down 2nd street.. passed many homeless sleeping on the street staff was very pleasant and helpful
The Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Downtown is not as fashionable as surround competitors in SoMa, but the affordable price, renovated and spacious rooms, and convenient amenities make it an attractive choice for business travelers and families.
The Courtyard by Marriott is located in San Francisco's SoMa (South of Market Street) neighborhood, in a mixed-use area of warehouses, art spaces, loft apartments, and technology companies. The hotel’s location aims to please business travelers with a prime location near the Financial District, plus the Moscone Center, San Francisco's major convention center, is only two blocks south. Tourists will find Union Square, which offers several of the city’s best museums and designer shopping, a 15-minute walk from the hotel. However, the most popular attractions are farther away.
Amenities at the hotel include a small pool, popular with kids, an adjacent Jacuzzi, 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor patio, and more than 9,000 square feet of meeting and event space. While there are many local restaurants within a short walk, there are also options on-site. Guests can have breakfast at Jasmine’s, with fresh fruit, hot dishes, pasties and a cooked-to-order omelet station. Whispers Bar and Grill is a sports-and-beer oriented pub open for dinner, and there is also a Starbucks and small market for grab and go items.
The rooms are a main attraction to the hotel due to their larger-than-average size and perfectly comfortable bedding. In-room amenities and features include a large flat-screen TV, work desk and chair, free internet, coffeemaker, and free toiletries.
