Location excellent, room spacious, staff friendly. An excellent stay! Price a bit high, bathroom could use renovation (but was perfectly functional). A light in the closet would be very helpful.
Location. Unresponsive staff. Examples: (1) concierge and room service rang out after trying repeatedly reach them for 10 and 15 minutes; (2) waitstaff in bar/dining area was slow and inattentive; (3) we needed 2 extra blankets and they initially resisted until we convinced them we were using all the blankets in the room and were still cold; (4) the food and beverages were overpriced and barely mediocre.
Clean rooms Bed was too small and rooms were tiny
The king bed is 2 full beds pushed together. Couples beware, no cuddles here. A lot of wear and tear.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate and well-appointed. Beds were comfortable. Location was awesome with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, parking garages within close walking distance, and walking distance to Bay Area. No coffee and payment required for WiFi access in the room.
Location The bed and pillows. Not comfortable at all. Parking was too expensive. Although they did offer a garage to park for $30/day which I should have done.
I had a great experience staying here. Sure, it's not a Ritz Carlton or anything, but if you're looking for a simple, cheap place to stay while enjoying the city, this is it. Room was clean and I had a microwave and fridge for my food (huge plus if you're trying to save money). Wifi was surprisingly fast (not what I expected). Lastly, location is excellent. You're not far from Bart; several bus routes are within a 5 min walk; and there are plenty of attractions nearby.
I did my research and this was the only affordable option for me. The bathrooms are not in the room. And I brought a waterproof zippered sheet, as well as my own sheet/blanket. Soap and towels for my room and when I showered. As well as shower shoes. It was a bit scary staying alone but I managed just fine and no one bothered me. If you are staying in summer just know the windows have no screens and there are mosquitoes. I also brought a sleepmask and earplugs. With all these I felt much more comfortable and slept well.
The location is across from City Lights book store. There are cafes and restaurants nearby. It was an expensive. That had an iron. Extremely small room. No desk to work on.
