Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room didn't have a fridge; didn't find out until almost midnight the second day of our stay that all other rooms had a fridge.
Located walking distance from great shopping and restaurants, this place was fine. Fun modern decor, friendly staff, and nice pool area. The room was very clean and well decorated. While the rooms are very clean, it could use some "touching up" from scuff marks on the walls and trim to chipped furniture. But, that's just be me being picky. I did feel like it was slightly overpriced for the old hotel turned boutique, but we paid for a clean room in a great location and at the end of the day, I'm fine with that.
Fantastic Pool and overall color pallet. The valet- especially Anthony was so helpful and absolutley made our stay in Scottsdale memorable. We loved taking the bikes out for a morning ride and then hitting up some of the great local restaurants. The room size was perfect for 2 people and we loved the decor! We can't wait to stay again.
Location was great
Front desk staff who checked us in didn't make eye contact or seem to care. We were not advised that elevator was broken so had to lug our luggage up 3 flights. Pool "service" was nonexistent and I found the drinks to be overpriced. My friend later got stuck in the elevator after it had been "repaired" I communicated all of this to the manager and he was amazing. However, I feel like this hotel is misrepresented as a luxury hotel. Service and just the proprtt itself could use some updating.
Great location! The Saguaro is a vibrant boutique-style hotel. Perfect for families and young people (our daughter is 21 and LOVED it!) The beds were comfortable and our room had a private patio facing the pool. We really enjoyed our stay!
Carpeting in the room needed to be replaced.
Bathroom needs improvement. Shower wasn't working correctly and door was broken (wouldn't lock)
Good hotel. Not great but probably the hippest hotel in the area. Great location. Be ware tho I rented I room with two beds and they had no record of it on check in so I had to take a king bed. Not a huge deal but was frustrating. Also the dj near the pool is absolutely terrible and really makes it unpleasant. He talks over the music and has terrible taste.
Reservation was not as requested. The dj by the pool
Staff was great. Location was perfect, walked all over Old Town Scottsdale. Distero had OK food, but drinks were fantastic.
Rooms in need of update.
This is like flying Virgin America - but as a hotel. Unique, pleasant, friendly staff. Lovely room with robes and a comfortable bed. There is a euro vibe without being stuffy or unapproachable. Terrific pool and dining facilities.
Lunch service was a bit slow at the restaurant. There was a baseball game that took up all the parking, however they valet parked for me.
The pool view rooms are quiet, while the ones facing the street are not. The cinder block construction is pretty basic, but on the plus side, keeps down the sound from adjacent rooms.
There is really no good reason for charging a $25. resort fee, since there is very little in the way of grounds and minimal amenities other than two pools. It is just a way of charging money without including it in the room rate, which seems like a dishonest practice to me.
The grounds were beautiful and the staff was amazing! Also, you can't beat the location.
Walls were thin. I am usually a sound sleeper and I woke up multiple times due to noise. Also, room was outdated (creaky bed and creaky slide in door)
bikes and location
tired decor and needs refurbishing
The staff was great supper friendly and helpful! Distero had great margaritas. The location is great in old town Scottsdale, I loved being able to walk around and get to places without having to drive.
The room is in need of refresh! The bed was not comfortable and the room just looked a little sad.
Staff was amazing. Helpful and very friendly. Our valet, John explained all amenities and was very welcoming. Dinner at the Distero was nice. The dinner server Destinee was knowldgeable and had a fantastic laugh. I'm a steak and potato man and the 4 course meal was outside my comfort ztone, yet she made us feel welcome.
Rom was small. No robes in room. Bathroom sink had plenty of milage and could be upgraded. No visible sprinklers in room, but I assume it met code. "Pool view" given as a free upgrade, which was a joke although the window faced the pool, the view was a 1 foot square between the tree leaves. Not a problem because we wanted quiet. Due to a hotel sponsered pool party that lasted all day with amplified music no chance of that happening. Would have been nice for a younger couple, not what we were looking for.
This definitely not a 4 star facility. It is a refurbished motel/hotel. 3 stars would be the highest that I would rate it.
