Pros: good service, good food, nice staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The seaview is perfect. The hotel is only 10m from a beautiful beach. The bus stop is right at the door. The big suoermarket , together with a natural hot spring, is only 3 minutes away. Every evening you will see the beautifully different sky afar. The hotel got everything you need: from a good meal to bicycle to laundry to hot tea to pick up. The owner is very considerate and can communicate clearly in Eng.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We are a group of 4. All of us enjoyed the breakfast and dinner very much that were both delicious. We also appreciated the staff who were mindful to customers' need and very helpful. We enjoyed the stay.
Cons: We considered that it would be better if the hot spring was bigger.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Highly recommend this Onsen hotel at Shodoshima which is right in front of a beach. I booked this same hotel in 2017. When I cancelled my trip to Shodoshima less than 24 hours before check-in due to typhoon in 2017, I thought the hotel would charge me penalty but they waived it. So I decided I must come back to complete my trip. The hotel assigned an English proficient local Takamatsu girl to assist us in these two days, excellent services. We can hear the healing soft sound of seawaves and see the sunrise directly from the room. And the food is fresh and delicious. Satisfactory holiday .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a very nice and big room with tatami and sea view. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. A nice extra is the free bike service and pickup service from the port. The staff was really friendly and helpful, especially we got a lot of very useful information and friendly service from Hana, which was greatly appreciated.
Cons: Although there is a bus stop in front of hotel, the bus doesn’t go that frequent. (Getting to Tonosho port to get another bus line is an alternative)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The seaview is excellent. The host is highly nice and very ready to help. The meals are arranged in beautifully decorated private rooms. That's wonderful.
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel service, food, view
Cons: None, but taking bath takes extra 150¥.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff there are great. polite and friendly. they are more than willing to walk an extra mile to accommodate our needs. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who'd like to visit Shodoshima, which is only 30 mins away from the city centre.
Cons: nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything has been perfect with excellent service and food. The staff speak English and are friendly, helpful and efficient. I took a bicycle for an hour and left my phone in the basket. The manager found it for me.
Cons: nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing dinners and breakfast. God”s gift to Japan. olives. Natural beauty and spiritual experience. Breath taking views, on golf course and every corner. Nice hot spring baths. Great great for family something to do for everyone.
Cons: Room keys.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful sunset views over the Seto Inland Sea and lovely grounds with golf course, tennis courts and swimming pool. Best was the onsen experience. - hot natural spring public bath separate for women and men, half in open air with views to the sea. Highly recommended is to take Hslf board package as the evening buffet and breakfast were superb. Dinner had live chefs for tempura with udon soup, sushi, and barbecue steak and vegetables. It was restful and pleasant to stay there.
Cons: Twin beds. We prefer a large double bed. Sheets and towels could be refreshed. Pillows were lumpy and should have softer options.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were fabulous, very helpful especially Ayumi. The views over the sea were superb. Wonderful buffet in the evening. The location was quite isolated, so it was very peaceful.
Cons: The pool had been drained. The rooms were comfortable but very dated and tired, needed a bit of a facelift.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were outstanding! They were very attentive and went out of their way to be helpful and to ensure one had a good time. The green tea bags were of a high quality ( I have noticed in many hotels, even expensive ones, the complimentary green tea is of a budget quality!) and I enjoyed my early morning tea looking out my window at the spectacular view. The view is breathtaking! The room got the afternoon sun so it was warm in winter.
Cons: The hotel is old so not picture perfect. But it didn’t matter to me as everything else was perfect!

7.5 Good
Pros: The seaview is nice. Comfortable tatami. Reasonable price.
Cons: The hotel is a bit old.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel must have one of the best views on the island. The onsen facilities are very good. The water was not scalding hot, which made the experience very pleasant. The japanese dinner and breakfast were of high quality. We stayed for 4 days and were presented with a different menu for every meal. It is easy to get to the town (Tonosho) from the hotel, though it involves climbing a hill (hence the great views from the hotel). Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Some of the hotel is apparently renovated and looks very nice. I think these are western-style rooms. We had a Japanese room, which was not renovated and was quite outdated.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! There’s a bus stop (named after the hotel itself lol) right in front of the hotel! Only three stops (like 2 mins) away from Kusakabe port. They have both private bathroom in your own room and public bath tub in traditional Japanese style on the second floor which was amazing and rarely seen. The staff was very friendly and can speak English well. On the day I checked out, I missed the early bus and he offered to drive me to the port! Super nice and helpful!
Cons: Can’t think of anything really, I just loved it and would definitely come back
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff was very hospitable and helpful, despite limited English and our non-existing Japanese. Facilities were very clean, if a bit dated. Common room was super-stocked with tea, coffee, manga books, kids’ toys.
Cons: Futon bedding was old and not really comfortable (but this is typical for many hostels in rural Japan).

7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were extremely kind and took us to our next accommodation. When we left something behind they then offered to bring it to us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really nice and good at English. I have good talk with him. The hostel is really close to bus stop (1min). And the bath in hostel super awesome. I think if my friends come to 小豆島, I’ll definitely recommend this hostel to them.☺️
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is convenient. The morning view will be great if the weather is good.
Cons: When I got into the room, it is a bit smelly. Once I woke up in the morning, I saw some insects around.

7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is right across the port.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: great location, nice staff and good food.
Cons: nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: It was very close to the port (but far from everything else). I didn't try the restaurant but there was a tourist center nearby that had a small cafe. And across the street from that was a convenience store that would heat a meal on request.
Cons: The windows gave a great view of the harbor -- as long as you were standing up. The windows were set too high in the wall to see out while sitting down. The furnishings were worn and not very attractive when new. The onsen was large, bright and clean. But the amenities were rather spartan and it could only be reached by walking down a very long, gloomy hallway and then down two flights of steps.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is really good, just few mins walk from Toshino port, and it’s really nice place to stay.

Pros: Food was delicious, one of the best we’ve had. Room was spacious and comfortable. English proficiency of the staff was enough to get by. There are regularly scheduled food events in the lobby where you can sample after, at least while we were there. There are free shuttle services to the main port in the morning.
Cons: Location was a little bit ways off from town, so there isn’t very many things to do in the immediate vicinity. Building looked old, although well maintained.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel, with japanese rooms and hot spring. The best was the food, I highly recommend booking the dinner. Hotel close next to the sea and nearby the Angel's road. Rental bikes with online app download (in japanese) were very usefull.
Cons: They didn't speak English so I had trouble with a few things beacuse of my limited japanese. Must speak a bit of japanese if you want to stay there.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly, although they couldn't communicate in English with us. The location was really convenient and they offer a free shutter bus to the port (3 times a day).
Cons: The overall hotel facilities and rooms need an upgrade.
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Futon and pillow was a bit hard
