Location location location! Absolutely lovely place, so peaceful. We arrived at 2.30 i nthe afternoon and there wasn't a sinner in town, seems like their 'siesta' lasts til about 5, probably because of the summer heat. Everything about Kalavasos and this house was just perfect. We only stayed one night but it lasted forever.
The very warm welcome we received from the family who owned Stratos House and the villagers in general. It was the perfect place to stay to experience a taste of the 'real Cyprus'. We were onlt there for four nights but would happily return and say for longer. Kalavassos is perfectly situated for exploring the island.
We received a mos friendly welcome. Zs we had the to suite, we had two balconies to choose from, depending on the sunlight. Kalvasos is a marvollous, unspoiled little village. Coming to Cyprus, don't stick to the beach! The only minor thing is that they do not serve breakfast; within 100 meters you'll find everything you need though.
Everything was perfect - Fantastic welcome - and service was so much above perfection so it wil be impossible to describe! Absolutely not! Everything was so perfect so it can only be highly recommendable!
cosy apartment in a charming village with friendly people the television had only Greek programs
Place Kalavassos interesting and quiet Too much accessoires in the room
A wonderful traditional house a little off the beaten track in a typical Cypriot village with a warm welcome.
We had a lovely time staying at Stratos House. From the warm welcome of the landlady to the fantastic local food. We would recommend Stratos House & the village of Kalavasos to anybody looking for a quiet retreat in picturesque surroundings.
Very friendly owners who bought a toy for our 1 year old son as a present on arrival, and a baby bath as the apartment we used (one of the two downstairs apartments) only had showers. The accommodation was lovely - a beautifully renovated traditional Cypriot house with a courtyard and roof top terrace for eating outside. There is no car parking at the apartment - though there is plenty of space about 3 or 4 minutes easy walk away in the village square. This made getting luggage (and our sleeping son in his car seat) to and from the apartment awkward - but that is part of the deal if you choose to stay in accommodation of this type in a Cypriot village.
