Pros: Everything was wonderful and we had a great stay. The customer service goes beyond what anyone can expect
A place where southern charm, magnificent scenery and casually elegant surroundings exemplify the gentle ambiance of this beachfront resort. Revel in the stunning coastal views revealed from the private balcony of each guest room. Surrender to serenity in the spa, indulge in unique culinary experiences, or play 18 holes on the private golf course, lined with ancient, moss-covered oaks.
Pros: Great rooms. Great thought went into planning rooms. I think they must've hired a designer for tiny houses. Kudos to Residence Inn. My wife loved the room. Gym was really good. Breakfast was robust and upgraded from the old days. General space in lobby very inviting ... a great place to hang out by fireplace or pool. Staff was EXCELLENT. Love the app ... you can request anything you need on the app. We willl be back. Love the total experience. Great for couples or families.
Cons: 200 yard walk to beach ... not really a complaint
Pros: Very nice breakfast buffet and helpful staff.
Cons: There was a faint off oder on the 5th floor where we stayed. The carpeting in our room was worn.
Pros: We love staying here. We brought our dog Camo for the
First time and the room was great for an animal. There were many guests traveling with pets. Everyone seems happy when staying there. We walk less than .25 mile on the sidewalk and are at the beautiful ocean. Love Fernandina Beach and the quaint downtown area. We will always stay at this hotel. Luv it.
Pros: The room had lots of space and a good kitchen. I was so comfortable.
Pros: We loved our room. Very clean and roomy
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable. Hardly slept. Bed was too hard. Pillows where nothing to them.
Pros: Everyone was very helpful. Loved the room it was very comfortable
Pros: The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is close to everything in Amelia Island and we really liked the large hot tub. There is even an outdoor fireplace to relax in the afternoon. The only thing that would have been better would have been to have a TV outdoors near the fire to watch football. The continental breakfast was great and the breakfast staff was also very friendly. The suite we stayed in with 2 queens also had a pullout couch so we could have slept 6. Overall a great experience and would stay there again.
Cons: They did have construction going around the hot tub, but it was still fully functional and very warm on a cool night. Very minor con.
Pros: Our room was great! They had complimentary popcorn, sno cones, hot dogs. Everyone was very nice

Cons: Have stayed in this hotel many times and will stay again to visit family. However, the rooms are in desperate need of updating. Common areas are great. But please update the guest rooms!
Pros: The location is why we booked this hotel - it's right downtown so you can walk to all restaurants/bars. The rooms are very comfortable and clean.
Cons: The rates here were pricey, but in line with the area.
Pros: Located right by the harbour and the historic town. The sea, boats and shopping. A wonderful breakfast variety too.
Cons: There is not an in hotel restaurant for eating when I don't feel like going out, even though the towns restaurants are only a block away.
Pros: At the harbor, near restaurants, cutesy downtown, historic buildings
Cons: Desk mgr a bit curt.
Cons: I didn't like I came in to check in early an the gentleman at the front desk didn't want to make accommodations for me or comfort me and tell me to go shopping and he will try to get my room ready. The desk clerk don't have any personality.
Cons: Limited parking, unfriendly check-in clerk, used soap left in the shower, uncomfortable pillows, an exposed bathtub 2 feet away from our bed
Pros: Restaurant Week was a hit!
Pros: Unique style buildings & very colorful. Close to town and so near so many very good restaurants! Rooms were very comfortable and large.

Pros: Location on beach. Beach umbrellas, chairs, outside porches, wonderful breakfast service, evening wine reception. Well-furnished, common areas updated, very attractive decor. Helpful staff.
Cons: Rooms are comfortable and very clean, but lack certain amenities. Minor points, but small steps could make rooms a little more accommodating. Entrance doors are rather cumbersome and hard to open with keys; no in-room refrig. nor coffee service.

Pros: What a great weekend we had at the Omni even with the cool weather and rain. Every detail and person we asked for help, was pleasant, offered a smile, and responded to our request or need immediately. The view was spectacular, the bar quaint and comfortable and the restaurants delicious, with amazing service.
I highly recommend the Omni for your travels.
Cons: Our room was very out of date and showed signs of wear. Really need a nicer restaurant in the hotel itself, had to leave the hotel for nice restaurants. Went to a "special" oyster roast , ordered a simple dozen oyster, waited an hour and a half , finally gave up and left. Complained to the concierge , attitude was "Oh well",sorry.
Pros: Beach location and view from rooms were highlights.
Cons: Poor WiFi reception and mobile phone reception. Mediocre restaurants. No hot water for bathing last day of stay. Sprawling facility.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Super ocean view rooms with balconies. Very quiet. Room was cleaned well each day. Plenty to do on site such as golf, biking, shopping and also close enough to visit the shops and great restaurants in historic Fernandina Beach.
Cons: Parking was too far from the building. Internet didn't work very well.

Pros: Friendly and accommodating staff
Made to order Breakfast
Free Beach Chairs/Umbrellas
Proximity to downtown area
Cons: Like others said, the rooms were on the small side. This would be difficult for families staying with kiddos. You would need a suite for sure.
Pros: Great beach location, cooked to order breakfast
Cons: 2 miles from historic town center, ocean view rooms don't directly face ocean but are on the side of the building
Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and neat. Location is right on the beach. There is a bar/grille located between hotel and beach. The food was awesome and staff was very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast offered at hotel is a full breakfast. Food was great.
Cons: There is a steep ramp going in and out of hotel. Scraping the bottom of your vehicles. I wouldn't take a rv or camper in parking lot.
Pros: An exceptional breakfast cooked to order
A very well kept up property--new looking
Cons: Very small rooms
Not a very attractive surrounding area
Pros: The hotel is very fresh and clean. They serve a wonderful hot breakfast each morning that is included with your stay. There is a private boardwalk to the beach and even a rooftop terrace. The rooms are small, but have every accommodation. Everyone was very curtious and helpful. The location is perfect. You are on the beautiful beach and close to the historic downton area, not to mention Fort Clinch. Beautiful experience.
Cons: The rooms are small, with only one bed( the suites have a pull out sofa), but very comfortable.
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms could be bigger but was nice and cozy. Loved the chef that prepared our breakfast. Breakfast was AMAZING!
Cons: priced kinda high. It was ga/fl weekend so we couldn't afford a balcony room.
Pros: The room was well-furnished and comfortable. Great location. Restaurant and bar downstairs with good food and atmosphere. Breakfast was great.
Cons: Despite being quite comfortable, the room was very small.
The Seaside Amelia Inn is a 46-room boutique hotel located directly on the beach in Amelia Island, Fla., offering free hot breakfast, a rooftop sundeck, outdoor swimming pool and location near Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach.
When visiting Fernandina Beach, Hoyt House Bed & Breakfast Inn is a great choice to consider. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. There's also a garden, and rooms at this upscale bed & breakfast offer DVD players and room service.
Pros: Loved all of the greenery on the property. Really well maintained, and the staff was extremely pleasant.
Cons: Didn't have time to appreciate all of the amenities that it offered. Did find the drinks and food a little over priced.
Pros: Checked in two days following storm. Parking lot, walk ways, steps, & balcony covered in debris. During two night stay, never was cleaned. Actually, sweep balcony myself and formed a large debris pile in corner.
The villa was nice and enjoyed the hotel pool and beach.
Pros: Spacious villa with fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, TVs in the living room as well as bedrooms, DVD player, free high speed internet. The pools were adequate for kids as well as adults. Poolside fare is good. There is a shuttle that can take you to the nearby shops and dining. The view of the ocean from the hotel lobby is amazing.
Cons: Almost no lighting on the road leading up to the villa
Pros: Very large beachfront property
Well furnished rooms and pool deck
Cons: Villas adjoin others that are occupied by full time residents, our neighbors had barking dogs
Trams are nice but inefficient in connecting the expansive villas to the main hotel
Pros: The staff at the omni were amazing. When we booked the trip we thought it was going to be omni quality. The villas, we came to find out are owned by a third party. The best news of all was that the omni made it right. The changed our room, giving us what we thought we were booking in the first place. A beautiful room with a ocean view. They were amazing. The omni resort was incredible, worth every penny.
Cons: The villa we were assigned was very dated and in need of a major renovation. It was like walking back in time, hello 1987. The carpet was shaggy and had stains. It may have been as clean as it could be, it was just old and worn that it seemed worse. The bedding looked old and tired.

Dining choices include 9 restaurants and the 2 poolside bars are great places to grab a cold drink. There are 3 bars/lounges and a golf course, and condos at this upscale property get the details right with premium bedding and bathrobes.
Pros: the inn was clean, staff friendly and helpful, priced well, centrally located in town. What's not to like. Their breakfast is huge and tasty, biscuits and gravy were excellent.
Cons: no pool
Pros: Structure and service
Cons: Room quite small
Pros: Staff was very accommodating and all the restaurants and shopping are within walking distance .
Cons: Ceiling fan in bridal suite did not work .

Cons: The mattress needs to be replaced...

Pros: Very comfortable beds! Staff was extremely nice and very efficient! As a solo traveler I felt very safe. Third floor has been completely redone, no musty or mildew smell.
Cons: Luggage carts were very hard to handle. One elevator was out of order on the second and third days of my stay.
Cons: reservation was made in error, meant to reserve following week, however, when I discovered my error, there was no on e who could help make correction to following week, was forced to pay for unused weekend plus had to pay to weekend at a different hotel.
Pros: close to beach, free breakfast.
Cons: smell in room. weekend check-in people were friendly, helpful. weekday check-in guy had NO personality, did not ask if we had a pleasant experience when we checked out, basically acted like he didn't want to be working.
Pros: Location across the street from the beach but very easy to walk.
Cons: The maid never left enough wash cloths or towels.
Pros: Great value and outstanding staff!
Cons: We had the do not disturb sign on our door and the cleaning ladies came in while we where gone. I had just received extra towels and they took them from the room so we had to request more. When we first arrived the outside of the building looked clean and nice. However, the inside was a different story. Our hotel room was upgraded but they failed to mention that there would be a $100 charge on our card for incidentals. The staff was not very friendly. We will not stay again at this hotel.
Pros: It was nice getting free breakfast and the room was clean.
The staff was nice too.
Cons: it lacked the Hotel feel. It was more like staying in the Econo Lodge. Just not what i expected for a beach Hotel.
Pros: Staff and Location
Cons: 1 bar of soap to share between sink and tub. No blankets and noisy heater. No toilet seat lid. - towels/robes not able to hang on 1 peg had to go on floor (or in the toilet! )
Pros: close proximity to the beach, easy check in and out, cleaning staff was nice
Cons: When I initially checked in they said that they had no rooms for me despite me booking well ahead of time through kayak, website and Hotel needs to communicate better with each other regarding rooms available.
Cons: Could have been cleaner.
Pros: very clean but spartan. Good staff good location, easy to find and convenient to area attractions.
Cons: To spartan, needs artwork and little more "homey" atmosphere

The outdoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at Sliders, which serves seafood and is open for lunch and dinner. A bar/lounge and a fitness center are offered, and in-room conveniences include refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: carpet is so dirty made my feet black.
a/c was leaking all over the rug
carpet needed vacuuming
Cons: Needs to be updated. Enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Down to Earth, inclusive vibe
Cons: Long checkin
Pros: Great costumer service, clean rooms great location. Will be back soon.
Cons: We booked a room with 2 beds. We were given a room with only 1 bed and told they didn't have any other rooms available.
Cons: The place was filthy and dog urine on the carpets hair in the tub. We had to wear shoes to shower it was so bad. I would never recommend this to anyone. I don't mind old or outdated but I need it clean.
Pros: The Days Inn was only a short walk to the beach. They have ample parking, which made it easy to come and go with our car. We were able to see other parts of Amelia Island easily. The entrance to each room was from an exterior balcony, which was great because we had our dog with us. It felt like we had more privacy this way since a front desk was not watching when we come and go. The staff was very accommodating when we arrived a day earlier than our reservation. They put us in the same room for our entire stay and enabled us a late checkout on the day of our departure. We had a great time on Amelia Island.
Cons: The room is very basic. It has been re-done, still a tad run down, but clean. Perfect for a beach vacation where you are not in the room much anyway.
Pros: I like the location. The staff was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were in a room that had not yet been renovated and my wife and I were very pleased.
Pros: Good location.
Cons: The first room we were given had live and dead roaches.
Pros: Bed was soft
Cons: Shampoo and soup so cheap there was no lather. Pool had green slime on the bottom.
Cons: Didn't stay. Dates were not corrected and Tate increasesd tremendously. We stayed at sea side which was much nicer and price negotiable.
Pros: Very disappointed overall
Cons: We booked the hotel for 3 nights but only stayed for 1. The bed sucked, the shower was horrible, and you could hear everyone's conversation. After the first night, we left that morning and paid the extra money to stay somewhere else. I wish I would of paid attention to everyone else's review because they were spot on.
