Price and comfortable bed Would have liked a full length mirror or at least another mirror besides bathroom
We ended up leaving upon seeing the room. The chemical smell was so pungent that we could not have out 3 years old son sleep in those conditions. Was overpriced for the little amenities. Just didn't look safe...
The staff was so helpful with dining advice and places to go. 1. The Motel aspect and need to leave the hotel to get to the Lobby for BF. 2. No cork screw to borrow for opening a bottle.

Our room was very out of date and showed signs of wear. Really need a nicer restaurant in the hotel itself, had to leave the hotel for nice restaurants. Went to a "special" oyster roast , ordered a simple dozen oyster, waited an hour and a half , finally gave up and left. Complained to the concierge , attitude was "Oh well",sorry.
What a great weekend we had at the Omni even with the cool weather and rain. Every detail and person we asked for help, was pleasant, offered a smile, and responded to our request or need immediately. The view was spectacular, the bar quaint and comfortable and the restaurants delicious, with amazing service. I highly recommend the Omni for your travels. Laura
Very friendly and helpful staff. Super ocean view rooms with balconies. Very quiet. Room was cleaned well each day. Plenty to do on site such as golf, biking, shopping and also close enough to visit the shops and great restaurants in historic Fernandina Beach. Parking was too far from the building. Internet didn't work very well.
Beach location and view from rooms were highlights. Poor WiFi reception and mobile phone reception. Mediocre restaurants. No hot water for bathing last day of stay. Sprawling facility.
Friendly and accommodating staff Made to order Breakfast Free Beach Chairs/Umbrellas Waterfront location Proximity to downtown area Like others said, the rooms were on the small side. This would be difficult for families staying with kiddos. You would need a suite for sure.
The hotel is very fresh and clean. They serve a wonderful hot breakfast each morning that is included with your stay. There is a private boardwalk to the beach and even a rooftop terrace. The rooms are small, but have every accommodation. Everyone was very curtious and helpful. The location is perfect. You are on the beautiful beach and close to the historic downton area, not to mention Fort Clinch. Beautiful experience. The rooms are small, with only one bed( the suites have a pull out sofa), but very comfortable.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and neat. Location is right on the beach. There is a bar/grille located between hotel and beach. The food was awesome and staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered at hotel is a full breakfast. Food was great. There is a steep ramp going in and out of hotel. Scraping the bottom of your vehicles. I wouldn't take a rv or camper in parking lot.
The room was well-furnished and comfortable. Great location. Restaurant and bar downstairs with good food and atmosphere. Breakfast was great. Despite being quite comfortable, the room was very small.
Great beach location, cooked to order breakfast 2 miles from historic town center, ocean view rooms don't directly face ocean but are on the side of the building
An exceptional breakfast cooked to order A very well kept up property--new looking Attractively decorated Very small rooms Not a very attractive surrounding area
Relaxed and enjoyed some family time. I loved everything about this hotel. I have already recommended Seaside Amelia Inn to a coworker as well as a friend.
It was on the beach and close to down town area. Staff was great.
We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms could be bigger but was nice and cozy. Loved the chef that prepared our breakfast. Breakfast was AMAZING! priced kinda high. It was ga/fl weekend so we couldn't afford a balcony room.
The ambiance is unique and staff is friendly. Pets on site is always a PLUS in my book, too. A unique hotel in a wonderful location. Perfect for our visit. No room access to the veranda and air conditioning needs time to get the room to a comfortable level.
Neat old historical building about 100 year old tabby structure. Basic , but sufficient cold continental breakfast. Decent coffee with real half n half. Fresh banana. Nice local character owners. Nice couple. Funny barmaid called me sugar a lot :-). Whole place just needs a good cleaning. Long past heyday. Lobby dirty and just cluttered with junk they think is cute, like old typewriters. Funny: they have a big display of a poster board copied article of how they were going to remodel the old hotel. Maybe they did, 20 years ago. But, if I weren't going to clean and maintain, I would have that feature article so prominent in the lobby. But, owner seems to be neglecting seriously even the basics of cleaning and maintaining. Worst area was bathroom: broken ceramic tile in the area where you stand in front of the sink, not good, sharp edges and sharp points ther to watch for while barefoot in bathroom. This was in room 15. Also, ridiculous hole in wall from lack of door stop, needs a coat of paint. Bathroom exhaust fan inoperable.
close to beach, free breakfast. smell in room. weekend check-in people were friendly, helpful. weekday check-in guy had NO personality, did not ask if we had a pleasant experience when we checked out, basically acted like he didn't want to be working.
very clean but spartan. Good staff good location, easy to find and convenient to area attractions. To spartan, needs artwork and little more "homey" atmosphere
Location across the street from the beach but very easy to walk. The maid never left enough wash cloths or towels.
Location Could have been cleaner.
It was nice getting free breakfast and the room was clean. The staff was nice too. it lacked the Hotel feel. It was more like staying in the Econo Lodge. Just not what i expected for a beach Hotel.
Staff and Location 1 bar of soap to share between sink and tub. No blankets and noisy heater. No toilet seat lid. - towels/robes not able to hang on 1 peg had to go on floor (or in the toilet! )
Great value and outstanding staff! Nothing!
We had reservations at the Days Inn. The experience there was horrible! We got a great last minute rate so switched to the Amelia Hotel. The difference was amazing! Wonderful reception, clean, updated facilities. Every staff member greeted us warmly. The breakfast was presented well with lots of options. I highly recommend staying here.
It's in a great location and next to a public beach access and great restaurant. Has a good contenental breakfast too. Our TV in our room did not work and even when we asked the front desk she gave us directions in a hasty manor in which we didn't get it to work. I say you get what you pay for and overall it was a decent hotel for a night.
We had the do not disturb sign on our door and the cleaning ladies came in while we where gone. I had just received extra towels and they took them from the room so we had to request more. When we first arrived the outside of the building looked clean and nice. However, the inside was a different story. Our hotel room was upgraded but they failed to mention that there would be a $100 charge on our card for incidentals. The staff was not very friendly. We will not stay again at this hotel.
close proximity to the beach, easy check in and out, cleaning staff was nice When I initially checked in they said that they had no rooms for me despite me booking well ahead of time through kayak, website and Hotel needs to communicate better with each other regarding rooms available.
I didn't like I came in to check in early an the gentleman at the front desk didn't want to make accommodations for me or comfort me and tell me to go shopping and he will try to get my room ready. The desk clerk don't have any personality.
Location Limited parking, unfriendly check-in clerk, used soap left in the shower, uncomfortable pillows, an exposed bathtub 2 feet away from our bed
The location is why we booked this hotel - it's right downtown so you can walk to all restaurants/bars. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The rates here were pricey, but in line with the area.
Restaurant Week was a hit!
At the harbor, near restaurants, cutesy downtown, historic buildings Desk mgr a bit curt.
Unique style buildings & very colorful. Close to town and so near so many very good restaurants! Rooms were very comfortable and large.
Located right by the harbour and the historic town. The sea, boats and shopping. A wonderful breakfast variety too. There is not an in hotel restaurant for eating when I don't feel like going out, even though the towns restaurants are only a block away.
We loved our room. Very clean and roomy The bed was very uncomfortable. Hardly slept. Bed was too hard. Pillows where nothing to them.
Our room was great! They had complimentary popcorn, sno cones, hot dogs. Everyone was very nice
I was a mom traveling with her son and dog and wanted a safe clean place to stay the night on our way to Florida. It was beautiful, friendly and very clean. It was located 2 blocks from the beach, easy walk down, nice way to unwind after driving.
The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is close to everything in Amelia Island and we really liked the large hot tub. There is even an outdoor fireplace to relax in the afternoon. The only thing that would have been better would have been to have a TV outdoors near the fire to watch football. The continental breakfast was great and the breakfast staff was also very friendly. The suite we stayed in with 2 queens also had a pullout couch so we could have slept 6. Overall a great experience and would stay there again. They did have construction going around the hot tub, but it was still fully functional and very warm on a cool night. Very minor con.
Everyone was very helpful. Loved the room it was very comfortable
Really spacious room with full kitchen which we weren't expecting. Nice fitness room to burn off some of those extra calories consumed with American portions! Great breakfast. Lovely pool.
Rooms are well maintained and comfortable, Housekeeper Sarah goes the extra mile to ensure guest comfort and necessities...
The fruit ice water in the lobby. That it was a block from the beach.Very pleasant staff. Nice to see families staying there.
The room had lots of space and a good kitchen. I was so comfortable.
The one bedroom suite was modern in design and very roomy. Since this is a hotel near the beach having a place to hang swimsuits and towels to dry would have been nice.
We love staying here. We brought our dog Camo for the First time and the room was great for an animal. There were many guests traveling with pets. Everyone seems happy when staying there. We walk less than .25 mile on the sidewalk and are at the beautiful ocean. Love Fernandina Beach and the quaint downtown area. We will always stay at this hotel. Luv it.
Loved all of the greenery on the property. Really well maintained, and the staff was extremely pleasant. Didn't have time to appreciate all of the amenities that it offered. Did find the drinks and food a little over priced.
Checked in two days following storm. Parking lot, walk ways, steps, & balcony covered in debris. During two night stay, never was cleaned. Actually, sweep balcony myself and formed a large debris pile in corner. The villa was nice and enjoyed the hotel pool and beach.
NOTHING The place was filthy and dog urine on the carpets hair in the tub. We had to wear shoes to shower it was so bad. I would never recommend this to anyone. I don't mind old or outdated but I need it clean.
We booked a room with 2 beds. We were given a room with only 1 bed and told they didn't have any other rooms available.
Great costumer service, clean rooms great location. Will be back soon.
The Days Inn was only a short walk to the beach. They have ample parking, which made it easy to come and go with our car. We were able to see other parts of Amelia Island easily. The entrance to each room was from an exterior balcony, which was great because we had our dog with us. It felt like we had more privacy this way since a front desk was not watching when we come and go. The staff was very accommodating when we arrived a day earlier than our reservation. They put us in the same room for our entire stay and enabled us a late checkout on the day of our departure. We had a great time on Amelia Island. The room is very basic. It has been re-done, still a tad run down, but clean. Perfect for a beach vacation where you are not in the room much anyway.
Location on beach. Beach umbrellas, chairs, outside porches, wonderful breakfast service, evening wine reception. Well-furnished, common areas updated, very attractive decor. Helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, but lack certain amenities. Minor points, but small steps could make rooms a little more accommodating. Entrance doors are rather cumbersome and hard to open with keys; no in-room refrig. nor coffee service.
Amazing experience, such nice owners and staff was efficient and most helpful assisting with directions and questions about the area. Room very comfortably designed and loved the location for a morning stroll on the beach.
