Hotel staff monitored and prevented me from taking any guess to my room unless I paid $11.00. I was offended by this because the room was paid for in full and I could not take up a visitor without being embarrassed by the request to pay more money to take someone up. I felt like they ran the hotel like a 'Hostel'. Hotel staff used the quip 'I am doing my job' line to promote this absurd rule. I don't fault the employees but I do the management. Management's breakfast rule in the restaurant is mis-guided too because one has to pay for coffee because the hotel breakfast pass does not pay for coffee.
Staff great and accommodating Nothing
We didnt have Wifi in our room, this was major bummer.
The room was comfortable, the grounds were well kept and the service was good. The dinner buffet on the night of the 4th was limited and not up to Westin expectations.
We loved the theme buffet. The food was great. The concierge was extremely friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The housekeeping staff was not very friendly and didn't do a very good job cleaning while we were there. The room was often not restocked with clean towels, Kleenex and toilet paper. You don't always have hot water to shower.
my complain is the maintenance of the most important part of the room the shower I was not clean ,for the cain of review that this hotel recived and the money that they charge per nigth you better of right around the corner at hotel venneto very much beatiful rooms and more cheap per nigth...
They charged me over for things that I didn`t use like telephone services and bar services in the room and they didn`t have razon to do this because we didn`t consume nothing.
Elevators not working properly.
Hospitality was very nice. Elevator key cards don't work very well. If staying with finds and are on different floors, you can't go to their room because of different key cards.
Everything it was ok To much prostitution in the casino the girls pass around like they are hunting they look desperate i went to the restroom and they jump into my boyfriend to ask him if he wants her seat with him but the soonest she saw me she fly away.
Central location value for price Problem with hot water. Hotel is getting run down
The staff are excellent, warm persons
The staff was friendly, the location was good , walking distance to most other hotel / casinos and the metro was right around the corner.. Also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The free wireless was good . The only negative thing is that they need to replace the rugs in the hallway .
The staff was very friendly. The wifi connection was poor.
Location The attention it was bad
I like the location very close to everything. I like the price very cheap My only complain are the beds they are very uncomfortable
The location Horrible damp smell through many of the rooms, and even the hallways. Putting your clothes inside the drawers would force you to have them laundered before you could wear them.
The price was great at around $50/night. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. The check-in person was super nice and gave me free Wi-Fi in-room when it was supposed to be paid. The location is great, next to the metro and the downtown area. The elevator was tiny and slow. I was surprised that Wi-Fi in room was not included (until the check-in agent gave it to me for free). The area is pretty dead at night.
Very helpful and professional staff. Front desk was terrific! Excellent cookies!!! The pool was unavailable during my stay due to repairs.
The hotel is in a great location. Very close to Calle Uruguay Nothing bad to say!
At first my husband and I were skeptical about the hotel since it had been very inexpensive... however from the moment we walked in the staff was very nice and helpful the room very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We are very glad we chose Doubletree for our short stay in Panama. I loved the hotel and everything IN it. I was not a big fan of the surrounding area, especially since we kept getting lost around that side of town and couldn't find a single well-known restaurant to eat around the hotel.
On the room, it has a noises all the night.
The location of the hotel in the heart of the financial district. The staff was very inattentive and unfriendly.
Las habitaciones y las instalaciones excelentes Demora en el checo in, confundieron el numero de habitación y quisieron facturar el desayuno que estaba pago, el WiFi debería estar incluido en la tarifa.
We had an excellent stay. Alonso treated us during the breakfast like king and a Quenn. We will stay again!!! Gym, the smell was horrible!
Muy buen hotel, me encanto mi estadia, tiene cerca muchos restaurantes y locales de comida rapida, tiene muy cerca un supermercado y una estacion del metro. Muy recomendable
The room and bathroom were clean and upscale! The pub and restaurant were excellent. i loved the touch of cold bottled water and a chilled wash cloth at check-in. One elevator is out of order and the other was heavily used by hotel staff....wife and i walked stairs three times in four day stay! pub staff moved so slow to any request! Hotel driver ripped us off with huge fee for short ride.
I've stayed here before. Unlike the big hotels, the Bristol provides personalized service and very nice rooms. Wouldn't do the pre paid breakfast again. No variation in menu. Gets a bit boring after 2-3 days.
Very nice facilities and staff. Room was assigned at the time we arrived, unfortunately because we booked it online and not through the hotel and allocated us in a room next to the maids' linen closet. The noise since early in the morning did not let us sleep and the hotel did not respond when we complained about it. Such a shame
Breakfast buffet Staff Bar was overpriced! Wine pours were extremely small.
Everything! The hotel staff was very accommodating and the hotel was lovely. The pool was somewhat disappointing, but in a building like that, surrounded by such large buildings, there's not much to be done. Also there was a cab driver associated with the hotel that charged a group of four $40 to go to Casco Viejo from the hotel. Total rip off! I believe his name was Franz.
Fantastic staff and facility. Great breakfast and a great, quiet location.
Very clean room. Kudos to Wendy and Gustavo, they were excellent. I wanted to acknowledge a server also, but I do not remember her name. She is short, worked in the mornings at breakfast time serving the coffee. She has very black hair, and a great smile always, kudos to her. Supper, the food served at that time did not meet my expectation. They need to improve on that. Great breakfast buffet though. I can empathize with the guest that was assigned a room next to the linen closet. I think that we got that same noisy room.
It's a very nice new hotel with great views. The rooms are very spacious. The staff was very courteous. Will definitely stay again The hotel elevator signage is confusing in addition the room light switches are a bit confusing too.
The hotel felt very grande when entering. Everything is marble and large which made the experience feel more high class. The staff was very nice the whole time. WORKOUT FACILITY: I was extremely impressed with the workout facility. A massive space with all new looking equipment. It was a pleasant surprise as I like to get a workout in every day on trips. BREAKFAST: I received 1 free breakfast pass for each day I stayed here. My wife had not received a pass so the staff was kind enough to move my second day pass to having two on the first day. We were checking out early so didn't need day 2 anyway. The restaurant view was *amazing* from the patio. Overlooking the whole waterway, it was one of the best view photos I took the whole trip. The food was better than most, nothing to complain about, but nothing mind blowing. And you shouldn't expect mind blowing with a free meal anyway. TAXI SERVICE: We booked a taxi with the staff downstairs to take a tour of the Panama Canal. It was $30 one way which is a little more expensive than a normal taxi, but it was worth the price. The driver even offered to wait up to 1.5 hours for us to finish the tour and drive us back for another $30. We elected not to do this and just find a cheaper taxi on the way back. We had plenty of space in their van, plus the driver was extremely kind and helped provide some info on Panama since we were new here. They also provided 2 bottles of water which is great in Panama. We also booked a taxi for one of our nights out. We were able to negotiate with the driver to bring it down to $20 for a trip to Old Town. I would HIGHLY recommend negotiating the taxi price no matter where you go or who it's with. It just felt like any taxi driver would say $30 regardless of where we were going. So negotiate! OVERALL PRICE: The price was about double of other Hilton brand hotels in the area but you could definitely tell the difference. I would say it was worth the price. However, if you're looking for a bargain, just stay at another Hilton brand hotel. ROOM UPGRADE: I am a Hilton Gold member so I received an upgrade to a Junior Suite, however the room they provided was no where near a waterfront view and more tucked away near other buildings. Because of this we had to keep our windows closed the whole time because neighboring buildings could easily see into our room. Typically when you're upgraded the immediate choice is a waterfront view. The individual at the front desk didn't appear to know how to handle upgrades which is why I think we ended up where we did. I was slightly disappointed with that. Besides the view, the room was very nice. Much larger and more modern than any room I've stayed in before, which I liked. MINI BAR: The mini bar had a great selection but far too expensive to justify any item. An airplane bottle sized shot was $7-$8. It would have been nice if there was at least some complimentary snacks or bottled water especially being a Hilton Gold member. This is actually the first time we didn't receive anything complimentary while checking in. I got the feeling it was because the person at the front desk didn't know how to handle it.
The location was good, The staff was very friendly and helpful. There wasn't free Wi-Fi.
Gym facilities are great. Great restaurant and pool area. Breakfast Buffet was a little short on variety
Nice building and prices Room service foods sucked. Cheapest spaghetti i have ever seen.
Everybody was great, great customer service I thought my breakfast was included, but it was not
Great break fast buffet! Great instalations Problems with the elevators.... They didnt read the cards...
The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. It was great to have a rain shower in the bathroom.
Staff was terrific. Everyone really made me feel welcome The food was ho hum except the steakhouse which was fantastic.
Great views of the city from the pool ! The food and drinks were eh...
Complimentary Breakfast!!! Clean rooms!!! Very helpful staff!! One of the absolute best stays abroad I've ever had only complaint would be the elevators. Long wait at times but nothing too terrible
the location in the heart of the city lack of courtecy from the staff
Great restaurants, great atmosphere Be sure to have a confirmation at check-out; hassles with their system. Very difficult place for business meetings becasue of the noise level.
The breakfast was great. It's a nice clean modern hotel. Unfortunately when I booked my reservation, my confirmation email did not state that the hotel would request additional money of no less than $200 to place a hold on my credit card. The lady was friendly enough and placed only$100.00 on hold however when I returned back to the hotel, an additional $100.00 was authorized by the hotel without my permission. And unfortunately, when you call the U.S. number/toll free number their only suggestion is to incur international calling fees and call the hotel directly. Also I did not like how the hotel advertises a FREE SHUTTLE to and from the hotel, only to find out that the shuttle is for their corporate guests only. That information was very misleading and was a big factor in why we booked with this hotel. The shuttle cost is $32.00 roundrip per person. Also they ask you for your room number or make you write it on your receipts in just about everywhere you go...I.E. the bar for drinks, one of the hotels restaurants, the night club, and for breakfast in the morning. I suggest you get a statement of your charges during your stay. We were charged tip for drinks to our room and we tip our servers cash!!! Also, the bathroom in our room had a terrible sewage smell!! JUST BEWARE!! I WOULDN'T STAY HERE AGAIN!! It was too misleading for me! They don't tell you all this stuff when you're booking the room.
Wow wow wow. From the moment the valet took our car we were greeted by the friendliest bellman Jonny who helped us get an early check in so our 1 year old daughter could nap. They upgraded is to a deluxe suite, gave us vouchers for drinks and even brought a guitar to our room. Unreal service. The food was amazing and the pools and views were spectacular. DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE COMPLAINING. The hotel is 5 stars all the way. Nothing. Best hotel stay of our lives. Travelled around the world. We left our 5 star resort in Playa Blanca to stay at the Hard Rock and it was the highlight of our Panama trip.
Nothing. The service. We were treated horribly. I don't recommend this hotel at all. Bad Wifi, Bad Breakfast, Bad attitude, overall an unpleasant experience. We ended up leaving after the first night!
Room service and the personal working in the hotel they are just the best! No , everything was excellent
Lack of informatuion on what the Hotel offrered as amenities , No room service . THE MINIBAR WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY, , Ehen I asked why , no one knew , aparently there is an independant guy who decides if he fills the miniba or not. VERY INCONVENIENT. ISSUE HERE.
They moved me to another hotel because they over booked. I would stay away from this hotel.
Nice hotel, free internet, free parking, good service, affordable. None
