To whom this may concern: My husband and I stayed at The Westshore Grand, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Tampa between July 23rd and July 26th (reservation under Brent Haskin) for a the Bisnow Tampa Bay Area State of the Maket commercial real-estate conference. We exclusively and religiously use HotelTonight, we always have, and refer innumerable people to it. The hotel is wonderful and the facilities are plentiful. However, we encountered significant issues that not only made our stay horrific but greatly impacted our work and well-being When first arriving for check-in, we were told out HotelTonight reservation did not show up on the system. We were ultimately placed into a temporary room without air-conditioning for a total of 7 hours before finally being switched over to the room we had paid for. By that point, we had already missed many hours of work, the ability to shower and time to rest before the conference. The room attendants were, for the better part, lovely; but the staff at concierge – all but one, a manager by the name of Sarah – were largely rude, insultingly condescending and dismissive. When we called down, they generally turned down our every request – for tea, for soap, for late checkout. We had to beg and insist time and again before, our pleas falling on deaf ears, before someone would ultimately and reluctantly accomodate our needs. When my husband was left in the room for the duration of a day while I was at a conference, he could not locate the room key and called down to ask whether he could have another produced. The lady at the concierge blatantly refused. He queried, "So I am to just remain in the room without the option of leaving for the day?" And she vily replied, "Yes, until your husband returns to get you." Mortifying. At checkout, when we expressed our frustration at our miserable experience, a scything front-desk woman told us we deserved it, that we exceeded our soap allowance for the room by asking for new soap daily, that we were a nuisance; and asked security to escort my husband out for his vexation. Inarguably, the most sour experience we have ever had — and one that interfered with every facet of our life, from work to health. Lastly, my husband is handicapped. He is sickly and bears many physical limitations. When sitting poolside midday after arrival, while waiting tired those 7 hours for our room, a strong wind jolted the furniture – steel chairs, tables and umbrella – and struck my husband in his hip and spine. He has been limited by exacerbated pain since and primarily room-bound. I have been a loyal member of HotelTonight for many years now. I ask for your empathy and request that you refund the entirety our traumatizing stay at the Westshore Grand. I would also appreciate any gesture of credit for a future stay so to make up for my husband's painful experience with a better one.

Pros:Bed was okay. Shower didn't drain properly.
Cons:Woke up at around 3 in the morning by what smelled like marijuana permeating the hall and rooms and could hear doors slamming shut periodically. Don't know if that was due to location. Also there were no ice buckets or cups available. I have stayed here pre the pandemic and it was definitely a much better experience.

Pros:Staff was friendly and hotel was very clean. Hotel offers valet service for $20 a night but self-parking garage is directly behind hotel wirh direct access to hotel. Beds are hign which was great for my inlaws and their arthritic knees. Beds were comfortable and the room was well groomed. Breakfast buffet was traditional foods so nothing spectacular but the food was cooked fresh and hot food was always available. The wait staff was very attentive. Overall a nice hotel to utilize when looking for something close to the airport, mall and restaurants- all are within 5 miles.
Cons:The hotel is attached to business offices so when I opened the curtains I could cleary see people working in their offices and they could see me which forced me to keep the curtains drawn.
