I was in town for a concert at the Amalie Arena and didn't want to drive back to my home on the east Florida coast the same night. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the room was great. I would stay there again. The usual downsides to a downtown hotel, like having to pay a lot for parking and no spots available in the valet lot. Also, the only way I could find to get from the part of the 3rd floor where the catwalk from the garage/City of Tampa building and the conference rooms were was to go down the escalator to the lobby and then take a second set of elevators to the guest rooms (I was on the 8th floor).
The Hotel staff was amazing.. Very polite and made sure our stay was as comfortable and easy going as possible. The room was also amazing!!! Very spacious and clean and very comfortable beds.. I loved my stay at the Hilton and will be making this hotel chain my #1 choice when vacationing. I loved everything!!

The location of the property was great. It had to have been the worst stay I ever had at a property. We made a reservation weeks prior to our stay, when we checked in we were told that ther would be no food options because they were throwing a party. This should have been communicated to us on time of reservation. Plus the party could be heard rumbling throughout the property. Great. Sounded like it was next door. We asked for dog beds when we made our reservation and when we checked in No bed What a surprise. We called the front desk 3 time to make this happen. Would never book again.
Room was great, staff was very friendly! I was there for three nights and I put the door tag out the first night (indicating I did not want it cleaned) but then I guess it was assumed I wanted the room not cleaned the whole time? I was hoping they would come and clean the room the following day but they did not. It was fine but that system is confusing if you are staying more than one night.

The hotel keept us in good shape, as we had to climbe the stairs up to 6 floor ( the elevators were not running... ) And if you try to get some sleep, try a diffrent hotel, cause young guest of this hotel know how to party ..
The Reception Staff were extremely helpful, let me have access to my Room from 0945 hrs on the first day and let me keep my Room until 1400 hrs on day of departure. Also it is very easy to walk to the middle of Tampa. If at all possible book a river view room (not much more $20 a night extra) these I think would have less road noise.
The club level rooms with river view are gorgeous! Located in between two bridges that light up and right in the middle of River Walk, it is a great stay. The club lounge has breakfast in the morning (eggs, grits, bacon, sausage) and snacks throughout the day. Bottles of water and soda cans available too.
The room was shabby and the shower didn't work right. The bed was saggy. The public restroom closest to my meetings had only one functional sink and one functional soap dispenser the entire 3 days I was there. The cleaning lady that serviced that restroom put the toilet bowl brush on the sink! Even with the deal I got through booking.com, the $ they ask for that place is outrageous. The restaurant was mediocre. Nice location. The free wifi was nice, but expensive to pay $18/day on top of the expensive room rate.

Great hotel staff, the rooms were comfortable and great location to downtown Tampa, airport and port.
Parking is an issue at this location. Nearest lot is across the street, but the only offer pay-and-display that is good through midnight. No way to pay for parking overnight, so there is a worry that your car will be towed before you arise or leave in the morning. The hotel should make some arrangements with a local lot to provide secure guest parking.
I liked the historic feel of the hotel. Poor check in experience. We were checked into a room already occupied and walked in on young lady. Parking was difficult as we did not get straight forward answer of where the overflow lot was located. There were not any basic amenities in the room such as coffee or additional glassware.
The location is centric to Tampa. The staff member at the front desk did not have the level of customer service that I expected. He was not impolite, however, he did not have the politeness that hotel customer service agents normally have. I almost felt that I had walked in to a motel 8.
The hotel was very nice in appearance and the front office staff was extremely pleasant and inviting. Check-in / Check-out was very quick and professionally handled. The lobby bar service was exceptional and the Bartender, Rod, was fantastic. He handled a large group of people efficiently and friendly. The rooms were large and decorated nicely. Upon first entry everything looked like it was going to be great. Those were the highlights of the stay. Unfortunately, you could see the massive renovations that were recently completed were either finished in haste or by a group of inexperienced contractors. The floors were extremely uneven and lumpy, the bathrooms tiles were uneven and the shower faucet was not even attached to the wall. The grout in the shower tile was mostly falling apart. Paint and finish work would also be seen as shoddy by someone even without appreciation to detail. Remember, this is supposed to be a stay in a luxury boutique hotel so guests should expect more for the rates charged. The bed was the hardest bed I ever "slept" in, not much sleeping because we were so uncomfortable. I can't begin to explain how hard it was but I actually contemplated laying on the lumpy floor at one point. Amazingly, no breakfast is served at this hotel and it's not in a great location to just walk next door. The lowlight was The Sapphire Room, we attended a private party there. We found the bartenders there to be rude and overwhelmed. Food was good but not great and at the end of the night, "friends of the hotel owners" (AKA, the bartenders friends) raided our food table. When confronted about the food raid, the group at least stopped eating but then the bartender told us that he would call the cops if we started any trouble and that they were friends. Certainly, one of the most ridiculous scenes I've ever experienced and the Manager was of no help. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this place for any reason. I must say, I found it difficult to rate this hotel because there really were some great things about it but the bad outweighed the good that swayed me to the two star rating. This place has so much potential but falls short of standing up to the many surrounding Downtown Tampa hotels there are to choose from. Look elsewhere if you want comfort and service.
The hotel and the staff were excellent. not too convenient to downtown or Univ Tampa but available via shuttle bus service or cab The pool was undergoing renovation although this did not affect our stay as the weather was not conducive anyway.
I really enjoyed the bartenders. They were very personable and tried to relate to someone that wasn't from anywhere near the area. The shuttle service was also nice and the driver brought us to where we wanted to go. I didn't like not having a complimentary breakfast. Pool closed really early as well. Took forever to get hot water to my room.
The location of the hotel is right on the riverwalk allowing for easy access to the convention center and straz performing arts center. Lobby was clean with fresh flavored ice water available. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms are old and small, but clean. We asked for a late checkout and were provided with one extra hour. When we were taking our luggage to the car, our room key was turned off even though it was prior to our late checkout time. What a pain to have to go back to the front desk and reactivate the key just to get the remaining luggage!
Clean all around for the most part. The shuttle driver asked for tip even when the service was complimentary by the hotel ,the front desk woman connie was rude in person and over the phone. The bathroom was rundown in the hotel room. The tv quality was horrible and made loud whistle noise.
Location in downtown , access to river walk, friendly staff, restaurant and bar was good. Rooms were clean, flat screen TV, free shuttle to local area. Very old/dated rooms, Very noisy- every noise in the hallway was heard clearly (and loud) in the room. Sound from adjoining rooms was very audible.

I like the location close from the downtown Wasn't clean the hotel have smel in the room like some one pee in the air condition, they charge me $10 every night for the parking also for the breakfast $10 while the reservation was including the breakfast, I wasn't happy :-(
rooms were clean, bedding was clean, beds were comfortable with lots of pillows, nice toiletries no coffee service in the morning unless you went to the on-site restaurant, flimsy guide to area
Location was wonderful. Lots of things to walk to. Lots of construction and closed streets around it and very difficult to drive to because of it.
We had to switch hotel rooms twice. The first room we got was a smoking room. The second room we went to, there was no hot water, the tub didn't drain and the toilet didn't flush well. We moved to another room and to get hot water we had to run the water for at least 5 minutes. The staff were very friendly and accomodated our requests but we didn't enjoy our stay there and wouldn't go back again.
Very Helpful front desk attendants. Would stay again and very close to the Hockey Arena! Can't wait to visit Tampa again. Nothing!
Great location and friendly staff. They helped us find good prices for Busch Gardens and the Aquarium. The food in the restaurant was tasty. In general, an excellent stay for what we wanted. The hotel is a little bare-bones, with the air conditioner right beside the bed. The service in the restaurant was VERY slow.
