10.0 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast buffet was awesome and very nice to be included. While toba is beautiful there's not a ton of stuff in the way of food nearby so having breakfast at the hotel was great. the views around the hotel were fantastic!
4.0 Okay
Pros: Food was fine
Cons: Staff have no personal interest in visitors
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for viewing the gorgeous bay and harbor. We spent part of each evening just watching the sunset and/or the moon dance on the inlet. The staff was very courteous, and helpful, especially the welcome staff. Bus to the train station every half hour was great for getting around, although we had such great weather that we wanted to walk. Breakfast is a lovely buffet, with several different cuisines. The hot tubs looked great, but we did not try them as we have appointments during most of our free time. Our room was quiet, clean and dominated by a fabulous view.
Cons: The dinner was pre-fixe for the most part, and quite pricey. But there are several options for eating local specialties in town ( other side of railway tracks). We felt we might not be sufficiently well dressed to try an evening meal there given we were at the end of a two-week trip and had more dirty clothes than clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent seaview and food!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is MAGNIFICENT. VERY luxurious and the check-in and check-out were practically white-glove services. The breakfast was a great variety of foods, and the staff was helpful and kind. Great English speaking as well. The bay-view suite was large, the size of two rooms, and the view as fantastic.

Pros: The staff it's very helpful, open and smiled. We like them allot. There is a free shuttle between hotel and train station ( every 20 minutes).
Cons: The smell in the room. It is not terribly but it is also not good. It smells like old cigarettes. Fortunately there is a good air conditionin.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - Location is up-hill but from there you have a lovely view! - Rooms are big enough, pretty cozy - The breakfast staff is very nice and helpful - Nice hot springs! only stayed in the indoor one but there is also an outdoor hot spring
Cons: - Be careful, even though there is a net against insects, we had plenty that somehow managed to get inside! we spent a while hunting and setting them free. So if you are afraid of insects I wouldn't advise staying here - the breakfast is not western-style unfortunately. But we were the only foreigners staying there so I guess this is why they do not propose this option. - no washine machine in the hotel

5.4 Okay
Pros: The lobby area was very relaxing. They had free drinks and sake from 3-6pm which was a good part of the stay.
Cons: The public bath area was run down and dirty. Saw quite a few cobwebs around the ceiling. Lack of amenities. Room was too small for a triple room which I booked.
5.0 Okay
Pros: View out to the bay was awesome. Onsen has a nice outdoor view in the day. Staff from Taiwan spoke mandarin and were very nice. Breakfast was nice with sliced pork where you can cook yourself.
Cons: Light and signboard outside were broken, we drove by 3 times before we found the entrance. Rooms and facilities are old and tired. Shower head and taps in the room were chipped or broken. Very dark at night when public lights were turned off and feels creepy. Rooms were small and cramped for 4 people (thought it says sleeps 4)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in a quite and inspiring area, close to many sights in Mie area. I liked that unlimited access to Onsen (inside and outside bathes for ladies and gents), feet massage devices, already included in the room offer, no more to pay. The personnel is very helpful and respectful. The shuttle from hotel goes 4 times in the morning daily to the central station as well you can ask anytime between 3-7pm for a pickup back to the hotel, which was quite handy for us. I booked the room for 2 nights initially, but realised that we wanted to stay longer and enjoy the place more.

Pros: Staffs are very friedly. They take extra effort to provide muslim-friendly meals for me.
Cons: No wifi
7.5 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff; Very nice food: this was amongst our best Japanese breakfasts in Japan, we were given onigiri for the day, and the diner was delicious; Good location next to the train station, to some nice restaurants, to Mikimoto island and the aquarium.
Cons: Very small bathroom; Air conditioning was old and noisy; The room and ryokan overall would deserve some renovation.
7.9 Good
Pros: Really nice place even though it is a little bit run down. Very friendly people. Gorgeous breakfast (can't tell about the dinner, because we didn't have it). Excellent location close to the sea. In walking distance to the station, Mikimoto Peark Island (don't miss! excellent museum) and Toba Aquarium. Only 10 minutes train ride to the Ise shrine. Nice ofuro.
Cons: Nothing :-)
6.7 Good
Pros: The inn is a bit aged. Room size is acceptable but air con needs to be fixed. Public bath is actually just a tub bigger than a normal bath tub. However, location is good which is just a few minutes walk from Toba Station. The owner, an old Japanese woman who does not speak English, is very helpful and accommodating with our request. She even prepared Japanese rice dumplings in the mornings before we left for sightseeing.
Cons: Air con in the room was in sufficient. Bath tub drainage didn’t work well.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very close from nearby train station, wonderful room with sea view, quiet, comfortable, clean. Very friendly welcoming by Owner, English speaking. Unexpected superb onsen on the top floor overlooking the sea - a very nice surprise. We used this place as our base location to visit the Shima and Mie peninsula and the Nara shrines, all easily reachable by train. Great small seafood (and other) restaurants at short walking distance.
Cons: Nothing, we would go back any time!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good and staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Desperately needed a refresh. Only one chair in the room.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Sea view
Cons: The hotel is old and dirty, you can find the old and broken stuff hidden in every dark corner of the hotel It is not very friendly to foreigners as staff can barely speak English Unresponsive to the message - I tried to contact them to reserve dinner but there was no response and by the time I reached the hotel it has just passed the dinner reservation deadline, they were inflexible and unhelpful, so I ended up having cup noodle for dinner as there was no restaurant around
6.3 Good
Pros: The baths were excellent as were the views from the hillside. Staff were friendly, though very limited English. Breakfast was nice though very few non-Japanese options.
Cons: Hotel really needs a revamp as is very dated.

There is a number of very interesting activities arranged by the hotel such as sun rise watching and eagle feeding. The star terrace on the roof top also has a great view. The outdoor hot spring also has a great sea view. Overall the environment of the hotel is excellent.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic views and a really excellent dinner, with masses of super-fresh local fish. Helpful staff but with little English. Easy to cope though, as it was off-season. Huge hotel but quite empty at this time of year.
Cons: The hotel is old and showing its age. A bit draughty, but it was December.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The site location was OK since the hotel was near the JR station.
Cons: I am not sure that the hotel was loosing money or not. But, the hotel was not clean. Also, we did not use the public bath (located in the hotel), but the usage of bath was automatically charged for both of us. Probably, this hotel needs significant modification for better in many areas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Ryokan was amazing! Principally for who visiting the Japanese old (tradicional) style and who traveling with Japan Rail Pass. This location is just 30 minutes to Ise Jingu by JR and 1 minute a foot by station. The food ware awesome, all food ware Japanese style like rice, miso soup, many type of seafood like sashimi, Ise shrimp (very famous type of shrimp), etc. and Japanese style for breakfast as well. And best point ware that you’ll have breakfast and dinner in your room! This ryokan is really good for who needs the Japanese culture.
Cons: I’ve thinking that there are some type of ofuro but there is just one. But it’s big and sufficient to relax.
6.7 Good
Pros: Very large room. This hotel has seen better days and looks a bit run down, but it was clean and the staff were friendly(not a lot of english) We were a few floors up at the front and had a great ocean view. There were some negatives, but we enjoyed our stay
Cons: Very noisy in the day and evening-trains and traffic lights-quietened down when the trains stopped-the bed was rock hard and the room was cool and drafty.Hotel internet only available in the lobby.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff friendly. Nice view.
Cons: Old and dated. Functional but too expensive for what it was. Cash only.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location and car parking is free
6.7 Good
Pros: We loved our stay here the staff were lovely. Their English is limited but we got by. The hotel is old and smells musty but has a retro feel. Central to walk everywhere. Don’t stay here if you are a fussy traveler
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent meals, very courteous staff, large room, great view.
Cons: Ittle dated
7.9 Good
Pros: Very close to the station, very nice personnel, clean. I also loved hot bath.
Cons: It's quite old, but in Japan is regular thing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Generally a nice stay. The place is certainly older and worn around the edges, but still pleasant enough for a 1 night stay. We got in very late (past midnight!) due to some bad weather and the gentleman who checked us in was very kind and helpful even though we were checking in so very late. We were both to weary to use the baths so stuck with the shower in our room but only heard good things about them.
Cons: The place is worn around the edges and relatively old and could use a little updating but this didn't bother us so much as it gave it a retro feel.

Pros: The food is good! Near the beach and the environment feel comfortable!
Cons: I suggest use a card or password to enter the spa room for the security! Specially for the women safe!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and Dinner were included for the stay. Meal was superior and fresh ingredient in used. Staff in the hotel are super nice too. The hotel is warm caring, as we needed to park our car before check in, the staff have arranged to send us to the hotel on a van with 10 second drive only, as the way up to the accommodation is quite slanting. But without locating up hill, guests won't able to enjoy the pacific ocean view from the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was pretty nice. The dinner was FANTASTIC and way more food than we could eat. We used the private outdoor onsen and it was comfortable and pretty. Breakfast was again a ton of food. The fish pedicure in the lobby was fun as well. The view from our room was very nice.
Cons: The free shuttles run twice in the afternoon and once in the morning to Toba train station, so you must plan your travel around those if you want to use them.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Dinner and breakfast were traditional with fresh seafood. Multi courses and enjoyable.
Cons: Rooms were dated. Booked for a balcony room, but was allocated one on the 2nd floor with a poor view over the ground floor roof. Requested for a higher floor, but was given one without a balcony and a bit musty . Had disturbed sleep throughout the night because of mosquitos. Overall, the amount paid was poor value for money , as far as accommodation is concerned .
