Position of the hotel and the staff A little pricey for whats on offer
Modern hotel met perfecte locatie aan het cicuit. Mooie, ruime kamer met alle comfort.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and early enough for the early start required for the race circuit. Shower water in my room did not evacuate properly - blocked out pipe I guess. Otherwise all fine.
the overall quality of the room, TV channels, internet availability, the garage, quiet, location during breakfast, there clearly was understaffing due to unexpected last minute bookings. The lady on duty did what she could and stayed friendly, but we had to exercise patience to find the food or drink we wanted. During dinner there was only one set menu at 35 Euro in the restaurant; they said there had been some technical problems in the kitchen.
Neat the track of Spa Francorchamps -
Location with nice views over countryside. Attention of staff to needs. Nice appearance. Good off road parking Shower room a bit tired, could do with a makeover
Location, nice view on the village Trois pons. In the middle of nice hilly area.Walking paths in the surroundings. Decoration and quality of the room and bathroom were poor compared to the paid price
Very comfortable family run hotel. Excellent staff and manager. comfortable rooms, clean with lots of hot water. Slightly dated decor. Situated slightly out of town with beautiful views and very quiet. Breakfast was very sufficient and varied and the evening meals were delicious.Food was fabulous. A real find and not expensive. no
beautiful place; fantastic dinner; definitely stay there again
The view and the food was fantastic
The atmosphere in the hotel was second to none, and the service and welcome were impeccable, espeacially the dogs.
Friendly owner, beautiful decor, sumptuous breakfast. Our room was the smallest one and not as posh as the others (but still very nice).
Excellent buffet breakfast, quirky but tasteful interior decoration, peace and quiet, knowledgeable host, sense of history.
Extremely helpful service from the manager from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The price was extremely high for what was, ultimately, a bed and breakfast service.
The friendly welcome by the owner. The uniqueness of the rooms. The views were fantastic. Everything was so clean. The music at breakfast. Nothing
Hotel Dufays is a small boutique hotel, beautifully decroated with excellent facilities inside and out. The owners, Ad and Frank, are friendly welcoming and always willing to be helpful, whther making a dinner reservation or giving ideas for trils around the area. The room we stayed in was very large and wonderfully decorated. In addition, we took our dog and she was welcomed by the wners, just as much as they welcomed us. The hotel is a gem and a real find. We plan a return visit to the hotel and are highly recommending it to friends.
i liked the rooms, the animals, the staff, the breakfast, the sunny garden a little noise from the street, when we had the window open. when closed, it was no problem
Great location, peaceful setting, great breakfast, excellent free internet connection, & friendly family-owned facility. None
The food and the service
Small hotel with friendly owners.
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice room
The family that runs the hotel is extremely helpful and kind in every way. The rooms are spatious, the beds soft and the bathroom up to date. Everything is clean and well kept. The restaurant is the dream of every gastronome and the prices are very reasonable. Location in a very lovely and quiet village. Thank you for a great we!!! Although a very quiet hotel, the sound isolation of the rooms could be improved.
The welcome and the restaurant
Good location with very attentive and helpful owners, excellent food with comfortable and spacious room. Unfortunately the small village does host youth camps which can be rather noisy in the evenings. Our room faced the centre thus was rather noisy, a room facing away would have been preferable.
Quiet village, nice looking, small hotel, breakfast excellent, hotel staff kind. We had to wait very long between the courses of the diner. It was a little bit annoying but understandable.
The attention to detail and the super food... just great
Excellent location, nice rooms, great food, friendly staff, no better place to stay after a tiring day's walking.
Very friendly staff and hotel in a pretty location Nothing to complain about really as the hotel is inexpensive so dont expect fantastic luxury, it is basic, comfortable, clean, good food and friendly staff.
Good service at the restaurant and well prepared food. No problems arranging an extar bed since the Grand Lit was to small. Huge balkony.
Nice location Got locked out of room!! No staff at hotel on our return at 11p.M.!! Had to sleep in another room!! Total rubbish.
location chairs were not comfortable, bouncy castle for children was dangerous and play room was not suitable for young children.
this is a very pleasent hotel. ideal for the spa race track and only 4hrs from calais. i will be using this hotel again.
Pleasant surroundings, the F1 race circuit was 20 minutes away, restruant was good, with a wide selection of european style food, no english cards but we were able to work out selection, staff has limited english did very well to meet our needs; room comfortable; overall a positive experience No
very good, busy spot, but seperate carpark at rear which was more secure for the classic car we travelled in Mainly the cost of the room which was quoted at 70 euro per night, but we ended up being charged 90 euro per night - they need to sort this out!!!
Excellent location, environment is relaxing and pittoresque and right next to the Plopsa Coo family park. Rooms are clean. Hotel restaurant is quite nice with riverside tables, food is reasonable quality. Very nice terrace connected to the room (18) although this probably isn't the case for all rooms. The rooms could do with some renovation. In the bathroom the shower was leaking quite badly and the hot/cold water was irregular in temperature. The wallpaper was loosening in some places. Its not horrible, but could be a lot better.
The food was very good, nicely presented and the waiter seemed to care about service Bed linen. Would prefer to have cotton sheets but it was not to bad
Excellent location. Normal health and safety precautions nill. Phillipe Constant, proprietor, uncaring and totally lacking in consideration, concern and normal social graces. Healthy, fit and active husband returned home shatter, nerv ous wreck thanks to this hotel. Not sure if we would even consider a future holiday. Where were hotel inspectors???It is not the only odd steps left like this in building. The first afternoon of our holiday my husband fell headlong down two unmarked and without any warning steps bwteen beddroom and entrance hall, cracking eyebrow and nose on corner of wardrobe 10 feet away with full force of his 13 stone weight. 5Hours later he collapsed, unconscious and was hospitalised.Xrays of shoulder and brain scan confirmed, thankfully, no clot or bleed to brain. 11 days later very ill and gp told him 'a couple of inches to one side your head would have been split open and you could have been killed.' Floor covering in entrance hall, on steps and room matched; in dim light difficult to see and when coming in from daylight impossible to see until eyes adjusted.
Hospitality, kindness. Restaurant prices are a bit exaggerated
The Hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. Not cheap but worth the price. The welcome was excellent and personal by the co-proprietor. It is set in nice grounds in a lovely village with interesting historical features. The rooms, interior and cuisine were superb, as was the level of service.
Modern room, good restaurant, nice people. Very noise rooms, uncomfortable toilet seat.
The staff is very gentle, speaks at least 3 different languages, explains the service of the hotel very well, we felt very good there, they take care of you!
Enjoying the countryside
Personable and helpful staff, good food.
Most rooms are in a high-tech new building, with windows on the (arguably not busy) road. This is fine, but bears no relation to the pictures on the site, which give the impression of an old, romantic hotel in a secluded garden.
Owner very welcoming. Clean & comfortable fine dining and ambiant atmosphere. I would book in a future trip.
reasonable room goog breakfast
it was nice and friendly
Restaurant was excellent and whole place had great character. Customer service was superb
Excellent breakfast and friendly service
Everything was very good, restaurant extrenely good
The staff were helpful and friendly, the adjoining auberge was really nice with excellent food. The situation was really nice and appealing. There was no ventilation to the toilet in the room. The furnishings in the upper room of the apartment were very basic
Rooms nicely appointed, good linen/towels etc and coffee/tea in room. Breakfast was good but more selection would have been nice. Very picturesque, both location and the set-up with ncie pool area (pity about the rian). BBC TV available in room was a bonus. Restuarant across road was excellent, gourmet meals with wide selection available. Not strictly part of hotel (so 2x bills). Great location for group frineds as its the only busy place in this very small hamlet. They can also house large parties across road in seperate annex (self catering and decor not up to hotel std). Good kids facilities eg bouncy castle, etc but care for young children its located on junction of 2x minor roads, cannot get to accomodation w/o crossing. Checking in past 6pm wasn't too clear, you need to cross the road to the restaurant (as no-one answered the 2 call bells ie restaurant was busy). But then it was very simple. Its not cheap to eat/drink/sleep here but very pleasurable.
Great stay, very clean and upto date rooms, staff very helpful even when we arrived very late after ferry delays (gone midnight!). Excellent Breakfast in same building weekends and in Restaurant across the road during the week. The Restaurant serves some of the best food we have had in a long time, fantastic! Overall an excellent stay.
Fantastic location, close to attractions and limitless possibilities for walks / cycling. Very comfortable and spacious accomodation and a heated swimming pool. Despit having a kitchen area, there was no fridge or cutlery, which I found slightly strange.
The friendly staff. The excellent breakfast in good surroundings. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the pool but it looked good. No hairdryer in room. The lack of an early breakfast
Nice quiet location. Pleasant service. Good food (both breakfast and dinner).
Friendly staff who accommodated a change of plan at last minute. Thanks. No tea or coffee facilities in room or in a guest lounge. That would have been nice. The double bed was in fact two singles covered with a large sheet - hence a hard spine ran down the centre - not particularly comfortable. If you are on a budget the menu might be rather expensive. The food quality was excellent.
The food was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The area was beautiful.
the environment, the cosy lounge Some food wasn't fresh.
great location for spa circuit, excellent food, well run family owned hotel. would definitely go back!
Very clean and friendly hotel and staff were very helpful. Railway at the back and main road at the front, bit noisey
Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great breakfast, and perfect central location in the Ardennes. The 4-bed room was fine for our family. Yes, the occasional train was loud, but beauty of the hotel made up for that.
It's a lovely hotel in a beautiful - and historical - setting. The floor-boards do make sounds, but nothing much after all ca 150 years and two WW makes an inprint, nor are the trains passing by this old train-station hotel any bother!
The owners were very friendly and helpful and we even got a specially prepared vegetarian dish for dinner! The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a curtain. Some people may not like this.
Cheap nice hotel
Charming Hotel, lovely people and good food. No credit cards.
Nice breakfast. Hotel and rooms done up very nicely. Location (isolated and between road and train tracks) and noise-levels. Bathroom only separated from room by a curtain.
The location in the forest, the convenient parking area, the nicely themed dining/bar area, and the friendly hosts. Bunk beds could be a problem for some but fine for me
Due to a death in the family we were forced to cancel our stay at Porte De La Lienne. The staff at the hotel were really understanding and didn't charge us for the stay - we'll definitely be booking to go there another time!
we felt like friends not like guests no TV in the room
The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful despite limited communication as we don't speak much French and they didn't speak much English. Room was basic, but modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was substantial for a 'continental' breakfast. The evening meal was very good and great value for money. We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and hope to return here sometime.
Stavalot is a very nice little town and the hotel itself is very comfortable and stylishly decorated.
Beautifully furbished – but small – rooms. Don’t be put off by the eccentric exterior of the building. Free wifi. Friendly owner. On street parking is free overnight. Very basic continental breakfast.
Wonderful old house in Ardennes. Very hospitable owners, tasty breakfast. Home-like atmosphere. For those, who love nature and silence.
The place is nice but a bit far from Liege, very relaxing and welcoming.
The ambiance was really nice and relaxed. The owners are warm and welcoming. The breakfast is really good.
The owners of the Shamrock Guesthouse are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The room has a good bed and is clean. Breakfast is good and more then enough.
