terrible no star hotel. we asked for two beds and there waa only one.
nothing. we didn't stay.
the worst hotel i have ever come across. not even 1 star. the room was so tiny. bar was very noisy. low class staff.
Small room, noisy party district
Convenient location for concert goers
Rooms are extremely small and cramped, bed was lumpy. If you get a room facing Granville, expect really loud noises all night long as it's the party district. Ear plugs didn't help. Didn't know this when we booked.
small but enough
The rooms were clean and the location was great. Very central.
The room was way smaller than described in pictures, they really should have a better description.
The lady that checked me in. That's about it.
Started with no early check ins, we were a few hours early. We ended up having to walk around downtown Vancouver for four hours before we could get in our room; which is understandable...but they didn't offer luggage storage, and they didn't suggest any things that we could do in the hours we waited, (in fact we wre pretty much ignored until check in time). We had to pack our entire car in the trunk and keep checking back on it. When we did finally get checked in, there was a fight that broke out in the lobby between a man and who I believe was the manager of the hotel. Our bed was uncomfortable, it sunk like a hammock. The lamp was broken & there was little to no light. I was charged for four people but ended up with only three, and they couldn't give me a refund for the one person that wasnt there. Also, they failed to mention that we get 20% off at the pub downstairs until we already ate & paid.
Great value and friendly staff
The location was convenient, staff was welcoming and helpful, breakfast on site for $18 for two, 20% off dinner in Irish pub on site, computer and printer in lobby for orintg our boarding passes, room was quiet at back, jacuzzi tub. Elevator broken so half off, great value at $67 plus tax.
Walk up, but we didn't mind. Front rooms on Granville may be a bit noisier, not sure. We asked for at the back.
Staff was great, very helpful and kind.
Professional, helpful staff Clean room, no odours
Too much noise in the small hours from Granville Street partiers Bed was too soft Small room, tight quarters
Awesome hotel, good central location
Liked Irish Pub on the first floor, clean room and convenient beds
Noise from outside after party crowds, air conditioner vent faces one of the beds too directly, no refrigerator
Bed comfort, bathroom, wifi.
Too much noise from the street - needs triple glazing.
Handicapped had to enter hotel thru noisy pub
The hotel room was very nice and clean. We could tell that it had been recently renovated. Free coffee in the lobby all day was a nice touch.
KAYAKs site clearly stated that the parking was free but when we checked in, the hotel staff said that the parking is never free. I am currently going back and forth trying to get reimbursed for the parking that I had to pay for. Had I known that I would have had to pay for parking, I would have stayed elsewhere. Especially since the parking lot was not covered and the hotel is located in an extremely active nightclub area. I worried about my car the whole time and the management was rude to me when I tried to explain my issue.
room was larger and more comfortable than I expected.
the window in bathroom was opened originally, and outside was sometimes noisy. I didn't care about that because I was tired so much, but I think you should think about prevention from noise.
The woman at the front desk when we checked in was exceptional. Good job! The Majority of the staff was attentive and helpful, very pleasant. Breakfast was nice.
The open staircase next to the locked elevator.
Breakfast was good, fresh and tasty!
The staff was very friendly and it was a great experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good deal in the Vancouver area.
The location was perfect and everything was hassle free.
Bed was comfortable
Opened the curtains to find the hostel next door looked right into our room, hence had to have the curtains closed the entire stay. Wouldn't feel safe staying there as a single traveller.
easy walking distance to attractions and good breakfast
not sure about the area did not always feel comfortable out walking
Did not like being in a room next to the ice machine which was being used until the early hours of the morning.
It was close to all the amenities I needed for my stay.
A loud humming sound was coming from the bathroom and I can only guess that it was a condensing unit for the heatpump. No bath fan either. No dedicated parking or underground parking.
very nice room modernly decorated
small deluxe room
