Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
Pros: Perfect central location. The staff are professional, polite and friendly. The hotel has a lovely bar area. Rooms are very clean. Sheets are changed everyday.
Pros: Perfect location, good breakfast, comfortable bed and pillows. Clean rooms, very friendly staff. Street view room was quit during the night.
Pros: the location is great even though very hard to get there.
Cons: We got there late at night and could not get to the street. The stuff is nice and polite. the hotel was too kitchy for us, the price was very high for the value. The room they gave us was very far and noisy from the motors of the a\c. With this cost you would expect more!
Pros: Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent as was the service. The location in the center of Bologna was excellent and personnel at reception in the restaurants and the bar was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The 'background' music in the restaurants was too dominant and the wrong choice. Celine Dion's penetrating voice is not pleasant during breakfast. The music at dinner was also a wrong choice and not background music. The bedside tables were too small.
Pros: Service was excellent! The best I have ever experienced. Real 5 star service from the doorman, front desk, restaurant staff, bar tender, housekeeping, etc., all the employees were extremely courteous, helpful, attentive, and professional. Hotel is very nicely and tastefully decorated, lots of artwork and fancy walls, ceilings, etc, and our room was very comfortable. They gave us a free upgrade upon check-in (from a deluxe room to a grand deluxe). Location is perfect - it is right in the middle of town, close to all the attractions, restuarants, and shopping. Yet the inside of the hotel is very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was AMAZING!! Excellent food, lots of choices, and of course excellent service from the staff. I think it would be OK for kids, but it is probably better suited for adults. My wife and I had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this hotel!
Cons: There is a small gym which I would have liked to be bigger with more equipment The grand deluxe room was a good size, but I think the standard rooms are quite small, especially for what U.S. tourists are used to.
Pros: Everything is allmost perfect in Baglioni. I have stayed there at least 6 times, and everythime this hotel and its personell brings smile to my lips. Will always return.
Cons: Coffe is the only thing i dont like there. Breakfast a'la carte in the room could have some more options.
Pros: Great service of the staff, good breakfast, clean rooms everyday (GREAT housekeeping!), centrally located. Highly recommended.
Pros: I liked everything about this hotel. Location cleanliness attentive staff comfortable room beautiful linens comfortable bed there was not one thing that did not meet my expectation
Pros: All very good, central location, staff, food, no complaints.
Cons: Just rooms road side can be a bit noisy from passers by.
With a stay at 051 Room & Breakfast, you'll be centrally located in Bologna, steps from Two Towers and within a 5-minute walk of Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Vita. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and an elevator.
Pros: The location is perfect. Just below the Two Towers, a few minutes walk to Piazza Maggiore. The room was clean, fresh towels every day. Hosts were very helpful.
Cons: Some could say that the breakfast is not fancy enough. We were OK with it.
Pros: Lovely, comfortable, excellent breakfast, snacks, and outstanding service from the onsite manager.
Pros: This is a lovely b&b, very tastefully decorated and comfortable bed and large bathroom. Our hosts also friendly and helpful with maps and suggestions. The breakfast room and 24 hour tea & coffee was great. We had 2 dogs which were very welcomed, even were treated to plate of dog biscuits each, nice touch. The location is excellent, right by the 2 towers.
Pros: Very good location in the heart of the city. Cristina is a pleasant host and she is trying to help her guests, although sometime the information is not detailed enough for foreign visitors.
Pros: The location is perfect. Straight near all the beautiful attractions in the center.
Cons: All the disturbing noises coming from the shops underneath and the crowded area as well. The room in which we were accommodated was on the first floor and it had the window straight towards the street. The area was very noisy and in the morning from 7 AM you couldn't sleep anymore. Too bad as the service is really ok and the area is really great.
Pros: Great place in a great location. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Will repeat.
Pros: Rooms and bathroom very nice. The location, the staff. Great breakfast.
Cons: Nothing to outline.
With a stay at Al Cappello Rosso in Bologna (Historic Center), you'll be steps from Piazza Maggiore and Museum of Giorgio Morandi. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: It was unseasonably hot, but no air on on.
Pros: This hotel is simply wonderful. Location is perfect, lovely rooms, super clean, coffee machine and snacks in the lobby, great shower, very cool design. I will be back! Bologna is a beautiful vibrant city.
Cons: Only one thing: The air conditioner could not be controlled. If you want to adjust it, you have to ask the reception. A little odd. But other than that, this hotel is e x c e l l e n t!!
Pros: Fantastic location just off Piazza Magiore
Pros: Close to the Piazza Maggiore, friendly staff, a lovely room with a big bath tub and a very comfortable bed. After working in Lombardia for the two weeks previously, I enjoyed my night in Bologna at the hotel very much and was able to finally relax with ease here. It was just a shame I had such an early flight as I didn't want to leave.

Cons: Can’t think of anything.
Pros: Best breakfast I have had in a hotel in italy
Pros: Great central location for exploring the City. Good choice of breakfast. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Our room was at the front of the hotel. I bit noisy late evening and early morning with refuse collection and street cleaning.
Pros: Good location, clean hotel, decent sized rooms
Cons: Very nice hotel in a good location but the staff were frequently unfriendly and the breakfast was pretty disappointing. Could have been much better for a 4 star hotel.

Pros: Was here for trade fair. Very easy to reach by bus. Bus station 3 minutes walk from hotel, return station only 1 minute. Room with Balcony and bathtub was nice. Good bed. Good in-house restaurant with reasonable prices. On site parking for free.
Cons: There was no iron and ironing board in the room. I called reception, but they do not offer this. They do offer however a lady comes to your room and irons your shirt for 3 Euro. Means they have the board and iron, but don't want to give it. Stupid approach. I don't want to ask my company for reimburse for ironing.
Pros: One of my three favorite hotels in Europe. Oozes class
Cons: Shower head was bizarrely placed
Pros: We stay here often and find it is a perfect stopover on our journey through Italy to Ancona. Very easy access from motorway but very quiet. Good safe parking. Clean comfortable rooms and a very good restaurant.
Cons: I would have liked the hotel laundry service to be offered on the weekends because I had to go to walk and find my own place to do laundry.

Pros: Excellent reception staff, very helpful.
Pros: They have a closed garage

Pros: Superb hotel and restaurant. All the staff made our stay a pleasure to be in Bologna for a relaxing weekend.
Cons: We were unable to control the room temperature to our comfort level.
Pros: Stuff was great, thank you so much I enjoyed the breakfast as well and very huge bed!!!
Pros: I like how friendly and helpful the staff were, it felt like a home away from home.
Pros: The hotel is new, extremely clean, with smiling and efficient staff that attend to our requests with a good disposition. The bed was huge and the matress really comfortable. The room was spot clean and the breakfast had a lot to choose from and of a good quality. The roof garden has an excellent view of the city centre. Even though there is no expresso machine, we can ask from the staff and they will provide. If I go back to Bologna, I have no doubt I will be staying here. Compared to Aemilia, my experience with 2 other hotels in Bologna were really bad. Even though the hotel is outside the historic centre, it is only 17m walking to the two towers.
Cons: I cannot say there was anything I did not like. Only the bread at breakfast, it could be more varied.

Pros: The hotel was quite good, the staff very friendly and helpful the rooms nice and clean but the breakfast needs to be improved.
Pros: Very central ... literally 2 min walk from Piazza maggiore square . Nice interior and the staff extremely welcome .
Pros: It is a very cozy boutique hotel in the heart of Bologna. Staff attentive and very professional, clean room and excellent breakfast. I recommend it for business travel as the place is very quiet.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
Pros: The staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants. When we had a little problem of our own creation, they helped us recover from it. It really is a convenient location - a good base to explore the city from.
Pros: Great location and friendly staff
Cons: Getting there and parking are challenging, beds were a bit uncomfortable and, in our room, we could hear the sliding door at the entrance every time it opened and closed.
Pros: No room was not great value . Rooms need updated. Not worth the money at all.

Pros: Excellent location and a decent breakfast. Very clean place, helpful staff.
Pros: Clean room and comfy bed
Pros: This hotel is a favourite of ours: it is centrally located, nicely refurbished, nice staff. The breakfast offers a good variety of options and is of excellent quality. While it is centrally located, the rooms are perfectly quiet.
Cons: We were happy with everything.
Pros: staff always helpful
Cons: not enough sockets in the room; fitness facility was tiny, with hardwood floors
Pros: The room is very nice, very comfortable and clean, very quiet, closet very convenient, bathroom nice and big. Location is very central, staff very helpful and friendly.
Cons: breakfast could have been better, parking location is not so convenient.
Pros: Lobby and restaurant were lovely and updated, unfortunately that's not where you actually stay.
Cons: Rooms were terribly outdated and dirty with stained carpets that goes half way up the wall... nothing like the lobby. Staff is rude. Would never stay here again.
Pros: Great location, rich breakfast, big and comfortable family room
Cons: All good
Pros: They upgraded our room type, which was marvellous We were travelling by train the next day and the hotel is on a nice piazza right opposite the station. Very easy to get a taxi there too. Breakfast was very varied and delicious. They also served us dinner when we arrived at 10pm

A stay at Royal Hotel Carlton places you in the heart of Bologna, within a 15-minute walk of Piazza Maggiore and Museum of Giorgio Morandi. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Wonderful location in a central yet quiet part of the city. The room was spacious even though we had the smallest room in the hotel. Everything in the room was in perfect condition, including all of the tiling and trim. The staff was nice and helpful and friendly to our 3-year old. Breakfast was large and wonderful with cappuccino made to order. The bed was really comfortable. Truly we couldn't ask for anything more in a hotel. It was wonderful.
Pros: The Spa was excellent and treatments very good. The bar staff were friendly.
Cons: No swimming pool and some of the decor such as reception carpet needed updating. The old velvet sofas are comfortable but need updating. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Pros: Nice clean room, beautiful facilities
Cons: There was little choice for healthy for breakfast, natural serials cost very little to add instead of crispy chemical ones :-((. Juice is chemical too :-((
Cons: The staff at then reception were rude and unhelpful. We reserved superior rooms but only got one superior room instead of 3. The twin room was larger than expected and decent, the other two double rooms were very small. Location was quite close to the main piazza about 15 mins walking. The outside bar area was very nice. The service charge for room service is way too high even when ordering one single item. The interior of the hotel is antiquated and outdated. In short I would not recommend to stay here he price is too high for the quality offered. Stay closer to the piazza maggiore for a better price!
Pros: Super close to the centre!
When you stay at Hotel Maggiore Bologna in Bologna, you'll be in a shopping district, within a 10-minute drive of Stadio Renato Dall'Ara and Ducati Museum. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, a computer station, and express check-in. For a surcharge, guests may use a shuttle from the airport to the hotel (available 24 hours) and a train station drop-off service.
Pros: Very good reception staff. Roby was very kind, answered all our questions with patience. The place is 10-15 minutes ride from the airport and 10 minutes ride (by bus) to the city center. There are supermarkets and many food places and restaurants next to the hotel. The place is very quite. The room is clean, big bathroom, comfortable bed - everything is good. Good view from the room (from 7th floor).
Cons: I would add more and bigger cups. Because there were just small paper cups that are not suitable for drinking tea. But this is not critical.
Pros: Excellent location and very clean. Staff was friendly and always willing to help you.
Pros: Price, personnel
Cons: Bad smell in the room. Conditioning was not working. Location is a bit away from the center, albeit accessible via public transport
Pros: Very friendly staff, rich breakfast, clean room. You can purchase bus tickets from the reception.
With a stay at Touring Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Bologna, steps from Basilica of San Domenico and within a 10-minute walk of Piazza Maggiore. Pros: Very close to the market, good restaurants, bars and the old town square.
Pros: The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. 100m from via Farini and the main shopping area makes this an excellent location for exploring Bologna on foot. Everything is accessible. Breakfast excellent, towels were thick and fluffy. A great place to stay
Pros: Very convenient walking to historic sites and downtown. Quiet side street location. Very friendly staff, most of whom also speak English and/or French. Excellent and varied breakfast. Extremely clean and functional.
Cons: I'm giving 4 stars because the guy at the desk at sunday (2.02) was extremely unpleasant what I cannot say about the lady on the previous evening, she was 100% pro and very nice. The hotel itself was as it supposed to be, clean and cozy
Pros: Very welcoming and staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location. Very quiet.
Pros: Breakfast was very good
Cons: The bathroom was a bit shabby. Needs an upgrade
Pros: Good location, friendly and helpful staff, great view from roof-top lounge.
Cons: We had a unit that was across a tiny street from the main hotel....it was noisy and the add-on bed used by our adult daughter was terrible....small and hard as a rock....basically a board set on a frame.
Cons: Private parking is a 10 min walk from the hotel and at €25 a day a bit of a rip-off! Also despite advising that the sliding door to the bathroom was off its rails, it was still the same 24hrs later!
A stay at Il Canale Hotel places you in the heart of Bologna, within a 10-minute walk of Fountain of Neptune and Piazza Maggiore. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, express check-in, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
Pros: I liked the staff, they helped my wife and I with places to visit, where to eat, everyone treated us so well. The room was comfy and the bathroom was clean and shiny. The breakfast food was delicious and diverse (I loved those croissants and the salami ciocollati). The location: it's very close to the Via Indipendenzia, which leads to the Piazza Nettuno. Very central. Perfect!
Cons: The place was so good that there's hardly any way to be better than it currently. I can say that the bed was a bit noisy. That was the only thing I could think of. But I will stay there again if I come back to Bologna, certainly.
Pros: Location, staff very friendly and accommodating, room size great!
Cons: Beds slightly hard but not the end of the world
Pros: The hotel has an excellent location, very friendly staff and an adequate breakfast. it is highly value for money. the staff is very friendly and accommodating, the reception guys always ready to answer our question, the lady at the breakfast very friendly and the cleaning almost excellent. the breakfast is classic italian with yummy croissants.
Cons: Two little details are that i would like a foul size mirror and better lighting, but i would definately reccomend it either way!
Pros: The breakfast is rich and diverse. The location is outstanding, very close to the airportbus and the cathedral and close to other sightseeing starting with the tourist office and the train station. A highlight is the fenster on il canale, a must see, extremely close. The staff is very friendly. The room was nicely warm in February when I travelled. You must like old furniture for this hotel, the building itself being centuries old (I am an architect). My room had a window looking to a quiet location, it was silence.
Pros: Close to city centre and train station Quiet clean and comfortable room Very good breakfast
Pros: Great help from the staff, nice position of the hotel, innovative design and clean rooms.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Pros: Personnel is very, very kind, thank you!
Pros: .The hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. They helped us after we forgot our mobile phone at the hotel room . The whole place looks like a museum and we liked it very much. The location is perfect
With a stay at Hotel Paradise, you'll be centrally located in Bologna, within a 10-minute walk of Fountain of Neptune and Two Towers. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
Pros: Near train station, makes it easy to visit nearby cities.
Cons: What I expected. The only snag shower cubicle too tight. Staff friendly and make you welcomed. Definitley recommend.
Pros: Premier location, good breakfast, excellent staff. One of the best stays me and my wife have ever had
Pros: Great location in the city center, but still the close surroundings were quiet. Clean and reasonably spacy room. Modern bathroom. Friendly staff who spoke good English. The breakfast was rich and did not only include pastry, jam & coffee, but also a buffet of e.g. yoghurts, fruit, bread, sausage, etc. All-in-all, this hotel provided great value for money (we paid 70 EUR/night for a doubleroom incl. breakfast)!
Cons: As highlighted by other reviewers, the shower cabin could be a bit larger - but it was still no big challenge to take a shower.
Pros: Excellent hotel in the city center. Very nice staff. All around positive experience
Pros: Centrally situated in an area that has a selection of restaurants.
Cons: no comments
The NH Bologna de la Gare hotel is in the heart of the city and only steps away from Bologna train station. Pros: It was a very nice stay. The hotel is placed near to the station. It was clean and service was very helpful. Thank you
Pros: Really central location.. Breakfast was amazing
Cons: There could have been a bathrobe in the room
Pros: Location is perfect. You need 10 minutes walk to reach the city center and just 1 minute for the train station. The rooms are modern designed and clean. The breakfast is wide enough and the food is delicious, especially the mushroom jar, cheese plates and pastry table were my favourite.
Cons: Nothing especially.
Pros: Proximity to the train station
Cons: The hotel is extremely dated, and we were placed in a smoking room, which we didn't even realize still existed. The room smelled disgusting, and we had to keep the window open to circulate the air...and also to cool us down because the heat setting in the room was unbearable and not adjustable.
Pros: location is convenient, staff very helpful, breakfast was very good
Cons: above the lobby, hallways and rooms are in need of updates - dingy and old carpets and light fixtures.
Pros: The facilities look spotless, like new. Good sound insulation meant I could sleep and not hear neighbors
Cons: The pillows (2 options) where both too soft
Pros: We did not take the breakfast option at the hotel.
Cons: Nothing I did not like about the hotel.
Pros: Close to train station. Very nice staff. Room was clean and comfortable.
Pros: The front desk personnel were all amazing and even provided us extra service at no cost. Special thanks to the front office team for a wonderful service.
Pros: I like its location and the comfort.
Cons: Small elevator.

Pros: Clean room, spacious, good air con, one nice lady at reception.
Cons: We were woken by loud music at night but they did turn it off when we complained, we would have expected breakfast with our room as we paid £97 for the night but were told it was an extra €10 for breakfast. Half of the staff were lovely but the other half were a bit rude. It's also an extra €15 to use the spa or pool facilities, which I would expect to be included. Also no kettle in room and extra charge even for a cup of tea in the breakfast hall.
Pros: The perfect place for trip.
Pros: it's a spa hotel too so I had an evening to myself ! the restaurant set menu was fab
Cons: restaurant doesn't have a lot of atmosphere and is very bright light so feels a bit odd when you're dining alone (but the food was indeed superb). hotel is stand alone so as a lone female didn't feel like walking out in the dark
Pros: Clean and modern
Cons: So a costs 15 euro everytime you enter...not per day as advertised. Room has no place to hang towels put clothes away .advertised large exec suite but extremely small...no view no balcony chairs...
Cons: When you pay for an apartment with the kitchen corner, you expect some obvious things like coffee maker, microwave oven, teapot, which were missing. The frying pan was in a terrible shape, no wine glasses...The door wouldn't lock normally, I had to slam it several times to make it lock.
Pros: Wellness area is super
Cons: Wellness too expensive for hotel guests
Pros: I choosed La Cartiera to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. I want to thank all the staff for the amazing and welcoming hospitality. We had a a wonderful weekend and enjoyed their food and SPA. We will definitely come back for another relaxing weekend and maybe even longer :)

Pros: Near town center Nice view to the green hills Helping us to store away our bicycles
Pros: Comfortable bed, friendly staff
Cons: Shower could be updated.
Pros: Very clean,polite staff,good location
Pros: Great continental breakfast with lots of fresh, yummy treats! Yoghurt, croissants, espresso drinks. Kind people that run it. Helpful and nice people are there to assist you. Beautiful air conditioning in the room.
Cons: The only thing that was a little annoying was that the Shower nozzle is a little hard to use because it is up high and not focused, but you still can get clean, fortunately. Whew!
Pros: Location was great and staff very helpful and welcoming. Bed was amazing, so comfortable and our room lovely and warm when we returned late at night - very thoughtful of the owners. Breakfast was generous with lots of options.
Cons: Although spotlessly clean, the dark brown furniture and bed covers are dated and make the room appear smaller. Changing the bed cover to a lighter neutral/natural tone would make an enormous difference and brighten up the entire room. Shower was awful. Not enough pressure to wash my hair and very small and difficult to bathe my 3 year old daughter. I probably should have checked before booking that a bath was not an option. It seemed as if we were the only people staying in the property. If that was the case it may have been nice to be upgraded to a larger room given we were a tight squeeze in a triple room. However I appreciate all the rooms may be the same size and baths aren't an option!
Pros: View was nice. Staff helpful.
Cons: Small poorly laid out bathroom. Didn't think much of the breakfast.
