The hotel was in easy access to the metro , trolley bus tour; and taxi cabs were on standby. There is regular access to Dulles airport by way of shuttle bus and taxi .
Beautiful hotel, nice comfortable rooms, excellent location, outdoor pool still open during last week of October Impossible to be served drinks on the terrace outside the restaurant even though it was warm and sunny. Bar staff not allowed to sell me drinks for the whole party of 3 (presumably linked to liquor laws) to take to the terrace. This is highly unusual for a hotel of this category.
The sheets were clean, there was no noise from the room next door, the shower worked nicely, and there was free coffee and tea. 1. My room was at the end of the hall, so there was a constant slamming of the door that the housekeeping staff used. 2. While there appeared to be soundproofing between rooms, there were gaps around the door frame and all of the noise in the hallway came in, as did the light; the feeling of privacy was diminished. 3. The elevators were inadequate to the traffic. I ended up walking up to the 7th floor!
Feel of the hotel was comfortable but very beautiful. Decor was luxurious and tastefully done. There was no indoor pool or spa.
wonderful & very professional staff having to pay for the workout room & expensive parking!
lovely public areas. friendly helpful staff. Very nice meals in the restaurant liked very much but would have appreciated a little milk for tea.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Located close to underground Metro stop that made it very easy to get around. I would suggest providing free in-room wifi for free to keep business travelers wanting to return for ease and amenity.
Reduced holiday/weekend price.
The entry to the hotel and knowledgeable staff. Floor I stayed on smelled bad. Shower didn't work properly.
the ambiance decor needed updating
Very little Terrible customer service
It's a great location. Near metro and plenty of great places to eat. Walls are paper thin. Had very noisy neighbors. Called staff but did not help.
We stayed here for 6 nights and LOVED the area. It is right next to a metro stop which was so convenient for getting around. There are a ton of great restaurants in the area. Lots of options for dining for many meals. There is also a little grocery store nearby which was convenient to get a few small groceries. We did have a small fridge in our room. The beds and pillows were not comfortable. The hotel itself was not a bad price, but all of the food options, etc. we're very expensive. I came back to our room while it was being cleaned and asked the housekeeper to leave my water bottle (just a plastic throw away one but I was planning on refilling it to carry around with me), she refused to leave it and walked away from me to throw it away. I was very put off by this interaction so we put our privacy sign on for the rest of our stay. The food from the convenience store on site was not very good at all.
workout facility, proximity to conference at Omni The first room they put me in was one of the worst in the hotel, on the first floor right next to a very busy, noisy street. The noise was so bad I got hardly any sleep. No one should be put anyone in a room like that, particularly when they are staying 4-5 nights. The next day I had to get pretty assertive with the staff at the front desk that I wasn't staying in the room another night, and needed to be switched. They claimed they didn't have any rooms available, but when I asked to see a manager, they were able to locate another room instantly. After two separate trips to the front desk, they finally moved my room.
Close to where I needed to be. Good amenities on site. Bed was comfortable, not luxurious, but fine for a night or two. Price was great, I assume marked down for slower holiday time while there was no business travel.
It was quiet and comfortable I was told check out was at 5 pm and then charged late checked out. I had to rush my check out because the front desk person denied what he said in the beginning. In the end, he did not charge me because I rushed out the hotel. It wasn't. Profesional nor accommodating.
The location, room quality, and service are excellent. A great option for business travel. The only downside is that vegan options are very limited at hotel restaurants, and there are no veg restaurants within walking distance. However, Manhattan Market, a convenience store less than a block away from the hotel, has a vegan prepared food section.
I frequently travel to Washington on business and tried this guest house. It is literally across the street from the Metro. It is very clean, very dignified, very quiet, very welcoming, and very relaxing. I will return. I liked everything. Two things that I liked, but others may not like:1) There are no TVs in the rooms or on the premises. There is wi-fi. 2) Room 114 is next to the kitchen. You smell coffee at 6:30, so if you are not a morning person take note.
comfort of bed, quality of bathroom, outstanding free breakfast, afternoon cookies and wine. Attitude of ALL staff. Quick, flexibility of owners. Opportunity to meet owners. Conversation in the morning and evening at the dining room table. Location
A/C, breakfast, very convenient location - near our daughter's apartment, National Zoo, busses and Metro, Starbucks; good restaurants within walking distance; nice patio to relax on Weird mattress - too bouncy/soft, towels too thin, carrying suitcases up to third floor, lack of electrical outlets
The staff was lovely and incredibly helpful. The room was clean and homey. The location was great right next to the zoo and the metro.
