Compliments to Thedia at the front desk. Very kind and welcoming.
Everything was good but to pay parking wen you are staying there i never pay parking staying in the hotel my first time Did not know if i did not walk in the room in white socks how dirty was gest it better hard wood floor to clean o shampoo de rooms because vacuum it not only for cleaning at lest one every 6 month thad just me
Pay for parking Not enough parking Pool closed for private event Overcharged and had to get refund (still working) No microwave or fridge in room. Had to get access to club room
It has a grand entrance/lobby and overall is a nice hotel. The bed was super comfy, the garage was well lit and felt safe, and the view was amazing (9th floor with city/water view). Bathroom was nothing spectacular, but felt clean. There was old gum on the carpet in front of the bathroom door and next to the bed, ew. The pool area was super depressing, didn't use it once because of that (stayed 5 nights), needs a complete remodel. There's an additional charge for parking and WI-FI.
The food was great , and the hot water was good No Ac , didn't work well at all . The tub drain was very slow I stood in water while I showered . Beds were a bit to lumpy , hard. Didn't sleep well in the room at all , to warm 73 % .
never got to check in...arrived sunday instead of sat.
I want to commend Gary, one of the van drivers for helping me with directions, he seemed to know what I needed before I did. Thoughful and considerate
Parking is confusing
Like the pool , lobby and room the view. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. No fridge in room. Wasn't able to charge any of our phone.
Clean, Comfortable rooms , comfortable beds Not within walking distance to the downtown area.
Nice atmosphere, pool is good, friendly staff The high amenities fee, the noise of the local train, room was old.
The experience was invisible, just the way I like it. I didn't have to "deal with" anything. Everything was taken care of. Breakfast buffet was a little bit of a rip-off. After saying "yes" to coffee, anything ordered other than the buffet seemed not worth it. Buffet items listed on the menu were not available once you commit to the buffet (smoked salmon, bacon).
convenience big place
Breakfast wasn't included
The stay could be overall satisfactory. I love the location and the hotel looks great! A lady wakes me up early in the morning, while clearly I turned the do not disturb key on. And by 9 am it was impossible to continue to sleep because someboddy was shouting loudly spanish songs while cleaning the room next door. These are what ruined the stay for me.
Quiet and comfortable room for 2 adults and 2 children. Good breakfast at hotel restaurant. Noisy atrium on weekend even late into the night. Out-dated pool area.
Centrally located for our purpose; nice lobby area for meeting/conversation; helpful staff, convenient, moderately-priced parking; clean, well-appointed rooms No complaints
It was a decently priced room close to the city, the hotel looked really fancy. The whole experience was weird, you have to pay to park in a parking garage that's attached to two hotels, the lobby is huge and inconvenient. One of the staff was really rude to my wife when she asked for some silverware, and for some strange reason they held an additional $30 for an accommodation fee which we were never told about. It's not a really big deal but the room didn't have a fridge which was a little annoying.
Staff were super helpful and courteous. Price was way less than half of what it would have cost us in NYC. Train to NYC was 45 minutes and hotel has free shuttle to train station. Bathroom door was very squeaky but they fixed it quickly and were genuinely concerned with guest comfort. Sound proofing between rooms not super great but still overall very good experience.
The waitress at breakfast was extremely accomodating and helpful. The rooms were clean. The breakfast buffet was a very sparse continental style. We had stayed there several years ago and the breakfast buffet was far better; a full buffet.
It was noisy. Rolling cleaners and guest luggage in the hallways. Our key did not work and the engineer had to come. he was nice.
the comfort of the beds. housekeeping was not good.
Loved our room. Wish we could always request the same room. Husband has limitations on walking long distance. The woman at check in was most accomdating. We were close to the elevator. Kudos.
Room was comfortable. Being charged for parking at the hotel's own parking lot. A not so subtle tactic for padding charges for the room. Reminds me of the tactics of cellular companies that dream up an assortment of additional charges to the stated price of service.
Nothing Went there for the pool for the kids. Was closed. They never offered to call when it opened
Can only say perfect
Easy modern clean Parking is tight
fitness room comfy king bed shower good pool area - dingy
Good staff, clean comfortable updated rooms.
Front desk staff was very helpful and polite. Hotel was a little worn down, bed pillows were terrible. There was a lot of noise from a group of people yelling and partying in the hallway late at night and we also were in the room next to an unruly individual and ended up with hotel security coming up to defuse the situation. Please see email that I previously sent this morning. We would never use this hotel again.
Hilton Honors floor. Restaurant was good. I didn't have the buffet like most guests. The kitchen made me a custom omlet and did a good job.
I didn't like the heater in the room was very noisy and the chair in the room was dirty
good location. Nice staff. Quic check-in. the breakfast felt more appropriate for a hostel than a hotel, no room service available, the rooms felt worn (e.g. chipped wooden doors) and the A/C heater that switches itself on in the middle of the night is as loud as a jet engine
Amenities from the bath soaps, bed, linens, towels and furniture were what you expect from a higher star category
Friendly stuff. Location is good. Swimming pool. No elevator in a 'motel style' part of the building. The building itself looked pretty old.
The staff were very friendly.
Normally this Motel is great. Location is great. The room smelled terribly that made me come home and wash all my clothes because they smelled like the room.this hotel pricey, and breakfast is not included. they need to change that.
The hotel staff is phenomenal.
convenient, easy parking, no charge no premium movies
Staff Well renovated, but bathroom needs work
Cost Very outdated and musty. The AC did not work well, no room service and the restaurant closed at 10pm

Convenient location, helpful staff, nice large room....and clean as well

The room was so clean and the king bed was so soft. The shower was nice, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. I wish there was a bathtub.
All of the staff were very acomidating, and nice. The hotel was clean, new, convenient, and perfect for a health conscious person. The gym and in room supplies were perfect if you were away from your home gym Everything was great
location, morning coffee and paper. Free WIFI Quick snack to go. Stale or not available.
I bought this hotel in general was very nice. Everyone was friendly, the hotel and rooms were very clean. The design was great. Wifi worked, TV choice was good, free flavored waters were a nice touch, and outside and inside lobby seating areas were nice. I prioritize coffee and comfort over exercise. The lack of free coffee in the morning was a bummer. I almost died when they told me how much the coffee was. My wife ran down the street to McDonald's to grab 3 more for my family. The food offerings were gimmicky healthy and expensive. Ie kale chips. While staying fit is nice, the room was definitely geared towards working out. If you also like comfy reading chairs, those were removed so you had more exercise space. as I said, liked the hotel but if you aren't an exercise freak than maybe these small things will also annoy you.
It was simply a stop over on a longer driving trip. Satisfactory, but not great. Not well maintained--looked very tired and in need of better maintenance.
Ease off comford No
Excellent mattresses Severe minimalist decor. Not a place for families with kids.
The room and the entire building were amazing. Super friendly staff. Great prices and atmosphere. Will be going back again.
I was cut off mid-sentence (once we had been in dialogue about where to get food) by a front desk staffer because another guest (from a wedding party) came after from a conference room with a problem. I thought it was rude and I felt like the wedding party guests were held as a higher priority.
Beds They room keys
Nice looking rooms, exactly what I needed. Great price. Coffee machine was broken. Ants in cupboards.
The room was very nice and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The room service and food was great.
This hotel does a nice job with a very tired building. Great lobby, beds are comfortable. Staff is very helpful and friendly The building is a bit long in the tooth. Peeling wall paper in the hallways, floors that are not level, etc, etc.
We stayed there for it's location. The price was good too. The King Size bed was comfortable. The room was small and there was no elevator to the second floor. There was no ice machine on the second floor.
Comforatble room and convenient to I-95 The carpet and furnishings in the public areas could be revewed.
Spacious room. The room numbering made little sense, and was haphazard.
Reasonable rates. Stink from smoke in the rooms.
Rooms on the small side but cozy. Nice bar and bartender was very good. Good menu in restaurant. The breakfast buffet was varied but the food in the hot section was never hot, perhaps lukewarm. Also for tea drinkers it would be nice to have more variety than just Lipton regular and decaf. Didn't realize the hotel had no elevator until I arrived and found I was on the second floor, inconvenient for business travelers with extra baggage. Make sure you specify if that is a problem.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pillows were a bit..lumpy.
sono(S Norwalk) picture on line shows hotel overlooking water. Maybe ten miles away. Also I still have issues with your co. regarding the price originally contracted for and having my credit card co dispute charges.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, the free breakfast was great.
Closely located to my meeting sight. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very comfortable beds. No elevator, though not a big problem
I like the fact that it’s one of a kind and not part of a chain. Pool area needs up-grading of outdoor furniture and general up keep of the pool area was poor needs some sprucing up.
staff 2 fire alarms in middle of night
helpful staff, great breakfast, convenient location to our son's new apartment..easy to find off the highway. Our son recommended this hotel as our first night at another hotel was awful! there was a swim meet somewhere in Norwalk Conn. so many families stayed at the Hilton. Parents left their children unattended in the evening as the kids ran thru the hallways making noise and slamming doors till after midnight. Repeated calls to the front desk made little difference. there wasn't much they could do. Also, a small fire in the kitchen Monday morning at 8 am ..we had to get out of the hotel and stand outside for half an hour. We were on the second floor.. the stairs were hard to find, there were no signs in the halls...good thing there was no smoke in the hallways
Hotel was what was expected and it was in a decent location.
Nice property situated near Stamford Town Center mall. Lots of local night spots, close to the train and I95. Convenient for work locally, going to the city or even a Yankees game.
great location for Yankees game and Bronx Zoo. Location is great for restaurants and shopping. Hotel was clean and friendly.
Hotel located within walking distance to mall, restaurants and move theatres. Comfortable room with king size bed.
The room was small and had a stale odor. I was disgusted with the bathroom because of the stain and hair on the floor. It was also ridiculous to pay so much for your stay and still have to pay for parking.
12 dollars extra to park. whats next a luggage charge?
Pulled in late, got a room cheap, and was not disappointed.
I thought this was a beautiful property. ..but little did I know it gaf bed bugs! I started to notice bites maybe 2 days after I left there. I cant prove I got them there but come on.... coincidence? Hmmmmm. Oh and when u called the front office manager she rushed me off the phone. Smh.
Had a bad experience with hotel from the very beginning. Waited an hour to be picked up at the train station. If it had been earlier and if I had known my way around, I would have walked it. The room looked very comfortable and beautiful. However, the sheets were stained and towels were old looking. The neighbors across the way were noisy. The icing on the cake was the bed bug; not 'bedbug' just a regular bug on the bed. Not a roach either. Not sure what kind of bug.
I have stayed at this Marriott many times before and always find the staff to be very friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable. We ate at Northern Lights and the waitress was delightful and the food delicious. I love the shuttle service to the train station as well.
I stayed at th Stamford Marriott with some friends for a short getaway. We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we had a beautiful newly renovated room with a huge flat screen TV. We had the option to have a spa treatment or take a yoga class both on the property. This property is also in a great location, 2 blocks from the train to go to NYC, lots of restaurants, night life and shopping within minutes of the hotel. The only issue that I had was my internet in the room was a bit slow. Overall, I would recommend the Stamford Marriott.
They might want to in clude the parking fee in the price. Afterall Stanford isn't New York City.
My favorite part about the hotel was the balcony. Not the best view but it was nice to step out there early morning!! No
The manager took the time to write a personal welcome note to us.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The food serving area was below par.the service was counter service, the prices were too high and the food was indifferent
Staff was awesome. Location. Nothing fun to do near by.
No free breakfast or free coffee or tea like other Marriott hotels
Convient location, clean and attractive. Good parking available. Our room was a long walk from the elevator and my husband was not well.
I was very pleased with the customer service of the hotel. Staff was very friendly as well as very helpful. The price of the stay was very good for the hotel and breakfast was included. I will definetly recommend this very nice hotel.. Mattresses are not that comfortable.
The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast had many nice choices, especially the fresh fruit and the amazing, high-quality coffee--unexpected in a hotel. Like a good restaurant. But could never get the Internet connection to work, which was difficult for us, since we needed to do some important online transactions. There was a problem with the "certificate" and security level.
The room was spacious, with a very comfortable king bed. Housekeeping did a great job, and the front desk staff were very nice. Having a full breakfast available was a definite plus! I'd be happy to stay here again when my travels bring me to NYC due to the proximity of the train station. We were disappointed that the courtesy shuttle to the train station didn't run on weekends; our choices were walking to the station in the rain (which is what we did) or paying for a taxi. The hotel is going through some renovations, which were poorly timed: painters on the main floor on a Sunday morning impeded our access to the breakfast area and made the restrooms unusable. There was also an issue with overcharging us for a room which we has already paid for in full using Booking.com. This was recitifed, but I'd think twice before booking through a third party other than AAA again.
I love everything the room was spacious and it was perfect Breakfast was not that great
I didn't like being lied to. I may never stay here ever. I confirmed, 3 days prior and 24 hrs prior to arrival. At check in, told suite is unavailable. Then asking for different suite being lied to about actually not a suite but reg. Rm., then said they would check other hotels...b.s. On my own had to find alternative location. Location was questionable
Have to pay for parking , and the AC unit was noisy..
This hotel was better than any Marriot I have stayed in so far.
Great location in Stamford. the staff was incredibly accommodating for an early check in request.
The hotel restaurant was excellent. The staff was very nice and the location was great. Everything was very good except our room was right next to the elevator and think something with the elevator kept knocking or rattling. Made it hard to fall asleep but didn't keep us awake.
Clean, spacious rooms which have just recently been redone. Courteous staff. Quick check in & out.
The location is a very short walk from the Palace Theater which is the venue we were in town to visit. The swimming pool is very small and shallow.
What makes a great hotel: Amenities, service, cleanliness, location, staff. We had the pleasure of staying four nights in early May 2009, The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The shuttle took us to and from the train station each day and we never waited more than five minutes for the pickup (in a Porsch Cayenne no less). Our only disappointment was we didn''t get a ride in the hotel Mini Cooper. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The hotel rooms were quiet and in four nights we did not hear a sound outside our room. The train ride into New York City is about an hour and very convenient to the hotel. The shuttle trips were always pleasant with the driver offering good info about the city of Stamford, which is very impressive. You can find less expensive hotels and even more expensive hotels but you will not find a hotel where you are made to feel your presence is important and deserves attentive service. We loved the Courtyard and highly recommend it to anyone w...
Check-in and check-out were very fast and the staff was extremely friendly. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and was definitely a good value. The diner attached to the hotel was also good for an inexpensive but good dinner. The pool was very clean and I had it all to myself.
Clean The front desk staff who checked us in was wearing headphones all the time while talking to us and was not very helpful with our request with wine opener, she was saying no but eventually the security guy said yes the hotel has it.
Internet was fast and free. The included breakfast was simple and nice. They did not have trolly to carry our suite cases. We had to carry them our self. The money seemed more than what the hotel deserve.
Included breakfast It was difficult to get to the station, which is not what the web intimated
Price was good for the area Hotel was decent for the price Breakfest was decent Hotel was old and could use a facelift
Nothing to like. Lady at the front desk was the only thing that I could compliment. She was very understanding of our frustration. She was very professional and took responsibility. Rooms were dirty. Pubic hairs and semen residue on bed and furniture. No WiFi, no cable channels.
At $60 a night you should not expect much and this place does not disappoint. The room was clean, no bugs, and they had hot water. Had a decent TV, fridge, microwave and good water pressure. Built in Peruvian restaurant was not bad. Literally right off of I-95. Doors and wall were made out of paper mâché. You heard every car speeding by. People walking outside of the door sounded like they were in bed with you. Bullet proof glass that served as lobby front desk did little to inspire confidence that you were not going to end up on the nightly news. If possible, toilet paper may have been thicker than the towels.
spacious room it looked run down
I'm still alive. Facilities were run down and in need of repairs throughout. Door to room did not close tight and daylight could be seen around the edge. Room was musty smelling and fixtures and outlets were in need of repair. Cleanliness of the bath and sink were questionable. Breakfast was sparse and low quality in its offerings. Will never go back.
Price Tv channels were minimal. Room didn't get cleaned the second day.
Less expensive than nearby hotels. The outdoor stairs were slippery. I had a big fall (like a cartoon slip on a banana peel) at the top of the stairs. Thank goodness I'm young and healthy and recovered fine. An older person would have definitely injured herself!
I stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is going through some renovations, I think, but it wasn't too bad. It's right next to 95, so that's good. The room was fine; it was already renovated - accent wall, undermounted sink, tiling, and new bathtub and shower head. The bed was comfortable enough. I never went to breakfast, so I'm not sure what all they had down there. It's pretty close to downtown Stamford, so that's a plus. The staff was kind. Honestly, the lobby had a really foul odor... I'm not sure how to explain it, so it made me nervous when I did have to go to my room, but it was only in the lobby. Also, vending machine sodas are $2, and the selection was lacking, so I would suggest picking up snacks and drinks elsewhere.
The staff was efficient and responsive to request for a 3:30am wake-up call. The front desk person was surprisingly gruff but efficient. At check out time, a different front desk person was more amiable and just as efficient.
The woman at the front desk was lazy and uncooperative. We had to search for coffee cups and knives for the breakfast while she did nothing to help. She was even unwilling to issue us a receipt when we checked out. Location is right next to the interstate and road noise is significant. Hallways smell like urine.
Cheap and right off the highway. It looks horrible from the outside, but the room was actually quite clean and comfortable. Free Parking. Super sketchy. I would not stay here again. Not worth saving a few bucks. Someone smashed in two glass doors near the office about an hour after I checked in.
Nothing Virtually everything. Dirty hotel. Outdated Interior Questionable location/staff.
