9.1 Excellent
Pros: Clean and cozy Early check in is not a problem Free breakfast and night gatherings with soup and salad
Cons: I wish they have better ventilation. The room next to us cooks a lot all day everyday. And thr smell was just a bit too overwhelming
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Clean
Cons: The liquid soap and shower gel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient affordable extremely clean and brand-new facility
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice attractive place. Comfortable. Super clean. Really great staff.
Cons: A bit far from the main interstate for me -- I was passing by on way from Virginia to Boston. Also, wish there were more dinner/meal options in the freezers in the commissary. It was a pretty bare bones selection. And some frozen veggies would have been nice!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The room was was absolutely the best I've ever stayed in. I would pick this hotel before any of the others.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I don't have much space here to express how much of an fantastic experience I had during my stay. They was the room was built was as if was home. I told my girlfriend that this hotel is my second home. See you guys soon lol
Cons: Um this section should not exist, the hotel deserve 6-stars. Period. =-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Literally Everything. Great little room, full kitchen and bath. I have NO complaints. Would recommend to 10/10 people
Madison Hotel - Morristown - Building
2
8.8 Excellent (1,658 reviews)
Overview Reviews
There are many great places to head for a romantic vacation, but there are some things that these vacations all share. The first is you want to be in a place with great views, where it’s just you and your partner finding a way to deepen your connection. A hotel should have some activities, but it should also have some plush beds and décor as well. The staff are well-drilled in making sure that you have everything you could want with minimal fuss. Fortunately, when thinking of a hotel that checks all these boxes, the Madison Hotel in Morristown, NJ is exactly that. The Madison Hotel is absolutely stunning, it is an example of what beautiful hotels should look like and the grounds are impeccable. While the hotel is large, the attention you get from the staff makes it feel like a family run bed and breakfast. The rooms are elegantly decorated and provide a feeling of warmth, just like your home does. With comfortable beds and a nice big window with a stunning view, you are truly in a stunning setting. There are lots of other amenities on the grounds as well. The on-site restaurant is a perfect place to get a great romantic meal, or you can enjoy cocktails at the bar. Some folks will enjoy getting exercise in at the swimming pool while others will take advantage of the fitness center. There are many places where you can reconnect with your partner but booking a room at the Madison Hotel in Morristown is an easy way to know you’ve picked the right one.
7.7 Good
Pros: Front desk was very friendly at check in. We attended a wedding here and staff were less friendly after the event (less we had been drinking but not belligerent).
Cons: Walls are thin. We were woken up at 9am by housekeeping knocking on other peoples doors. There appeared to be water damage in the ceiling and bathroom needed some maintenance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are comfortable and clearn and there is a really bar and restaurant connected to the hotel. It's in a subburb and has a completely different feel than the "big box" hotels. Love the nice breakfast spread they put ou the morning which is included in the room price. There's also a very nice pool and courtyard.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It is a great location, just a block away from the train station. Went here to get away from distractions and focus on work. Got a nice size room, all the amenities that I need and with room service, I never had to leave my room for anything. Perfect place to get quiet and work done.
Cons: Not that it bothered me but the decor is a little outdated. But a desk still worked as a desk and furniture didn't break on me. If I was going to the hotel for an actual leisure trip, the tv might need to be upgraded.
6.0 Good
Cons: Front desk not accommodating
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Very impressed, felt luxurious not outdated! Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, loved it!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was perfectly located for us, near the train to head to Manhattan and near universities.
Cons: We were on the back side and our window looked down upon the trash.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We like the room, continental breakfast & convenience of train to the city. Train is a plus. Sr.'s can buy a SENIOR train ticket at the TRAIN STATION, otherwise buy train ticket at hotel & walk approx. 1/2 block to train. VERY nice older hotel.
Cons: It is an older hotel but everything is very nice. We like the continental breakfast. Parking. Train to the city is great, can walk 1/2 block & get on the train to the city. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Room was clean enough, bathroom worked, all the basics were there. I ran the fan all night and thus the room was quiet enough to sleep in.
Cons: Its main business seems to be weddings and other big parties, so bar and restaurant VERY crowded and not available to guests who want to have a quiet drink. Door to hotel does not have automatic open button -- crucial not only to those with mobility issues, but anyone with a lot of luggage. How is that even legal in 2016? Breakfast included but there's not enough seating, so it gets loud and crowded. They use styrofoam cups for coffee. Again, I must remind the hotel, it's 2016. The decor is **very** outdated. Forest green carpet in the room, vertical strip wallpaper -- from the 80s or 90s. Was fooled by high reviews into thinking this was a nice place to stay when it in fact it is just adequate.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I really appreciated the attentive service. Front-desk staff were incredibly nice.

9.4 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, excellent service at the front desk and in the restaurant. Nice clean rooms. The people who work here make the experience.
Cons: My only complaint was that the rooms weren't as well insulated from sound (of other guests in the halls, the ice maker, and the "exiting the parking lot" warning sound) as I would have liked.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was beautiful, spotless and comfortable. It was also convenient to all the places we visited in Morristown. We were able to walk to all our destinations on South Street and nearby. They had delicious fresh baked cookies in the lobby upon our arrival!
Cons: In person the hotel looked smaller than pictured online.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We go to concerts often and stay overnight. Of all the places we have stayed, the Best Western Inn at Morristown rates far above the rest. I dislike LARGE chain hotels and we were thrilled with this smaller and cozy setting, which was within walking distance to our venue. The customer service was outstanding, the room was clean and beautiful, and the price was perfect. The Front desk people were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the woman serving the breakfast on February 20th deserves a medal for excellence. These folks don't want you to drive home hungry! A full breakfast with all that one can imagine was offered at no extra cost; the made to order omelette was outstanding. We work for a resort and spa in New York, which strives for legendary service and couldn't be happier to find the same quality of service at this Best Western at Morristown. Thank you so much for a memorable stay. We will surely be back again soon.
Cons: We couldn't stay longer!
5.1 Okay
Pros: location. Lamont is terrific
Cons: every stay we ve had the ac/ heater is as loud as a jet plane and doesnt heat/ cool the room effectively. i may look elsewhere next month because of this. i asked Ray at the front desk if 287 north connected to the jersey turnpike and he said yes, when in actuality the right answer was south. this cost me 45 minutes i didnt have to lose. Lamont in the breakfast room is a shining star. if i had a competing hotel in your area i would steal him from you.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and quaint with a kind and attentive staff.
Cons: In need of updates specifically sound proofing on the backside of hotel due to location off a busy highway. Request a room facing the front if possible. Also no towel rack in the bathroom? Inconvenient.

5.7 Okay
Cons: horrible beds
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Quibbles and comments. I don’t think these were major issues at all: 1. The overnight front desk attendant was on the phone throughout my interactions with him, both checking in and 15 minutes later when I returned to ask for extra towels. It seemed to me it was essentially an ongoing personal call / chat session, but I am not certain and the employee still checked us in efficiently. 2. The pool did not open until 10a. I wish this were earlier. I really wanted to take my son swimming. We couldn’t afford to wait around for 10a because we needed to continue traveling. With a 12p checkout, it doesn’t leave much time for a one-night guest to swim. 3. The electronic lock on our room door was difficult to open on first arrival and the indicator light was very dim; I thought perhaps the battery was low. 4. The room had a touch of an “off” scent that neither my wife nor I could Identify. It was the kind of thing we noticed first walking through the door but forgot about within a couple minutes. It was only noticeable when transitioning from out of the room to in it, but not really bothersome once inside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful studio suite with a kitchenette. Upscale carpeting, wall coverings and furniture. Easy access to all major roadways from a pleasant neighborhood.
Cons: Queen bed instead of King.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Great location, free breakfast with real eggs, very nice room with a kitchenette. All for $106 for a family of four!
Cons: Nothing

4.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel was set up nicely for people traveling for business.
Cons: The hotel is advertised as having a hot tub and pool which is why I selected it for a girls night out but the pool room was "out of order". We were not told about this ahead of time or even at check in. The shower in the room is run down and looks dirty. The toilet wouldn't stop running until you play with the handle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, ease of access from Route 46 and rooms are nice

6.2 Good
Pros: Scents and cleanliness.
Cons: I am a new mother and was severely disappointed that after a long day of travel and late arrival, the refrigerator in my room was broken and resolved not by changing my room to one where it was operational so I could store breast milk- instead I was brought a warm one from storage.

4.2 Okay
Cons: I was very dissatisfied with our stay. I planned a last minute staycation with my daughter. The weather was menacing so I looked for a place in the area with a nice indoor pool. What they don't tell you in any of the descriptions on the Sheraton Paraippany is that the pool is part of the Atlantis Health Club and, evidently, anyone can go for the day (I imagine there's a small fee). We were swimming in the already cramped single lane of the indoor pool. I was already dismayed that, even though there were many little ones swimming with their parents, they still excluded us from the other two roped off lanes--one was reserved for lap swimming, and the other for kiddy swimming lessons (with MANY kiddies, one of them screaming at the top of his lungs for the entirely of his lesson). I noticed pieces of food, cereal and other garbage, laying around the pool, while the life guard sat there, allowing kids to balance themselves on the divider ropes, despite someone trying to swim laps right next to them. What sent me (and my ten year old) over the edge was when an entire group of young children arrived from outside the hotel. A day camp I think. There were now an additional 15 or so kids, plus 3 or 4 adult supervisors. For the first half hour they were there, the outdoor pool was still closed due to bad weather--why they did not open up another of lane to accommodate this group is beyond me. They expected 30+ people to swim comfortably in one lane of a NOT Olympic sized pool?! It was ridiculous so we left and went back to our not very clean room (pubic hair in the bathtub, stains on the carpet and on the bed-skirt) and ordered over priced hamburgers that were hard as hockey pucks and ridiculously over-priced. It was just an all-around very disappointing experience. I will not be returning there.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Breakfast was horrible tv was broke and I set the alarm clock for 8:00 am and bring they cut the power off for a min the alarm didn't go off getaway was awful
8.0 Excellent
Pros: cleanliness, friendly hotel staff
Cons: Women's bathroom above my room. You could hear high heels and high power toilet flushing from the 6th floor bathroom every few minutes.
4.0 Okay
Cons: When I order a superior king don't change it to double bed room and tell me that's what I ordered
10.0 Excellent
Cons: noisy neighbors and loud screaming kids
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location. Reasonably clean
Cons: Hotel needs to be updated. Bathroom was small and cramped. The hotel is in need of repair. The restaurant closes too early.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Can't give much of a review. Was there on business for one night. Location was convenient. Exterior was impressive. Room was nice. I was not expecting much, so it met my needs. Would stay again.
7.7 Good
Cons: The rooms and facility are dated for the price I was charged the room and facility was not worth it seriously overpriced and the pricing is solely based on demand but just pure facility why’s that room should be no more than $150 a night
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Good customer service
Cons: A/C was a bit noisy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, services and everything they did to make us happy
Cons: The bed a little be, it was like not what I was spected i Think they can have a better mattress

4.2 Okay
Pros: I liked the fact the hotel was close to a Mall and provided a shuttle and had a swimming pool with breakfast included.
Cons: The shuttle was terrible - supposed to run every 15 minutes but what they don't tell you is that one of the shuttles is reserved for airline employees of United and American and essentially, there is a shuttle every 30 minutes that is not supposed to stop at the terminals but it does it anyway. One of the drivers was supposed to pick me up from the nearby Mall and decided not to because he was running late, so I ended up running late for my flight and had to change it. Be very careful with these shuttles - they are quite unreliable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient for overnight stay to pick up flight next morning. Wait staff at restaurant very friendly and accommodating to needs.
Cons: Nothing.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location adjacent to terminals
Cons: Prices are similar to Midtown Manhattan
6.0 Good
Pros: They set up a pack and play and refrigerator. Huge win!
Cons: No bellman to bring our bags up. We had to push the luggage cart ourselves. The restaurant was initially rude when I asked to take food upstairs (to my husband and sleeping daughter). I was surprised that this was supposed to be "in" the airport but it still required a van to access. They will not direct you to a walking path. The van was included (nice) but the driver refused to go to the premier counter, leaving us to lugg baby and bags up multiple flights. Not as easy as for a solo business traveller
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and staff were nice
Cons: The shuttle service was very poor. Understaffed shuttle service for people trying to make flights. If you are going to use mini-vans, you need to have more of them, or have bigger shuttles on stand-by.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice bed, good mirrors in room, good working space in room
Cons: Conference rooms on first floor were FREEZING!! Rooms could have used a bit more hanging space for clothes Wish there were more bath products — shower cap would have been nice, when I called housekeeping about deodorant they couldn’t help
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is nice and very close to the airport and a nearby shopping mall outlet. There is a restaurant, bar and business center and free hotel shuttle.
Cons: Everything was fine and the price is a good value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Got in at midnight and still able to grab a quick bit in the restaurant/lounge! Staff was great and never made us feel rushed.

Pros: Everyrhubg was great above average on all things.. Great service and room service food was beyond great..
Cons: One very rude women that was a clerk at the front desk about 3am in the morning needs to be fired. I don't want to give the hotel a bad review because of her. I asked about the shuttle and all were more than happy to call the bus driver. They said tell us when you are ready.. I walked outside and came back in and there was another clerk there. I said you can call the shuttle driver now please, I'm ready. She answered very ugly and rude sharp '' when I have time I will'' there were no customers at the desk. No reason that I should have been treated like that. I just thought to myself welcome to new jersey where all the rude selfish people in the world live and blew it off. But what needs to be realized is that people like this on staff there will cause this great hotel to lose customers.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Hotel staff was nice, room was clean and not noisy.
Cons: Restaurant staff were terrible. Can't be described as nice which is in sharp contrast to the hotel staff
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great bed, nice room layout, very quiet and dark which was nice for sleeping. If you close the curtains you will not be able to tell you are essentially in an airport.
Cons: Restaurant was okay -- not bad, not great. A bit expensive for the quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location ad very nice facilities.
Cons: Climbing over a small railing to get from Terminal B to front door of Hotel . A cross walk would be nice.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Shuttle to the airport was super helpful!

7.1 Good
Pros: Very comfortable bed and quiet room. Nice looking building. Airport shuttle was quick, convenient and the driver for the hotel I stayed at was very nice (can't be said for the other Courtyard hotel driver for one of the other locations...).
Cons: Too many people partying in common areas/halls. Rude driver of airport shuttle for one of the Courtyard Marriott properties (not the driver for this location - but another locations driver who was at the airport at the same time); if you don't know which of the three Courtyard hotels you're going to hope you don't get the driver I did at first because he just yells at you. Bathroom and ceilings in room could use updating.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gentle man at the front desk was the absolute sweetest and most helpful person i've ever had the pleasure of working with. I stay at many hotels, and none the less I know that any Marriot hotel i've stayed at is built to work at its finest, but this gentleman went above and beyond to assist me and make sure we were comfortable. He helped me not only get a clean room quickly where I could put away my things and freshen up (since I had arrived much earlier than check in and had an event I needed to get to) but and when incurring a problem (When I thought I lost my ID and Debit Card) was helpful in helping me find it. It a shame on my part that with my terrible memory, I cannot remember his name. He was a caucasian male, in his late 20s promoting some football event, I believe, with a green shirt. My sister, A friend and I were attending a concert later that evening so we only booked the hotel for a one night stay in NJ, but with personnel like him and the cleanliness and professionalism of both the lobby as well as our hotel room itself, I felt like I should've stayed longer had I not already booked the rest of trip at the Ritz in Manhattan. Very satisfied. Definitely will be coming back again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Joe's crab shack is right next door as well.
Cons: The area is not very good. Went for a walk in the afternoon and felt very uncomfortable. Had to pay for parking as well.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Nothing perfect
5.4 Okay
Cons: The hotel is very hard to get to. There is no space to pull up to check in. The parking garage is extremely expensive, and when I arrived the staff had such thick accents I couldn't understand anything they were saying.
7.0 Good
Pros: the bathroom was perfect, the bed and the comforter were very comfortable, and the tv was a great size and quality
Cons: the food downstairs was way too expensive and there wasnt any kind of complimentary breakfast.
7.1 Good
Pros: Surprisingly being next to a hockey stadium on a game night it was very quiet. We specifically asked for the quietest side of the hotel not facing the Broad Road. That might has to do with the quietness, and the floor was not so busy. The room was generally clean except the shower floor I can see black dirt residue. The front desk was curteous.
Cons: We didn't like that there was no parking or rather we needed to pay an additional $21! Tax was quite high already on top of the rate. I wish the parking could have been covered or a bit less than 21.

9.6 Excellent
Cons: No breakfast available
7.7 Good
Pros: The Irish pub in the restaurant was excellent. The staff was very professional, accommodating and friendly. The room was clean other than the issues cited in the other box. The lobby is beautiful and clean. The location is convenient and there was plenty of free parking.
Cons: I booked for 3 adults and requested 2 doubles, however my email confirmation stated 1 king bed. I called the Marriott and was told there were no rooms left with double beds. I then called hotels.com and was told the room could be changed to 2 doubles, however upon arrival the reservation was still for 1 king. Thankfully the desk clerk noticed the size of our party and immediately changed the reservation 2 doubles without me having to ask her. Don't know why this was an issues when I originally called the Marriott (or why the change made through hotels.com did not change the actual reservation at the hotel). There was some black mold on the ceiling above the tub/shower and the room had a slightly musty smell, like a damp basement. Our room refrigerator was not working upon arrival and the hotel had to send up a maintenance person to get it to work. We discovered there was a big cultural conference (NJ/NY VSNA Indian conference) taking place during our stay. No issues with the cultural conference however with so many people mingling about in the lobby and hallways we felt like we were intruding on a private event and that was uncomfortable. We did not feel like we should walk around the hotel and stayed in our room. It would have been nice if I was told about the conference at the time of booking.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Lobby is good. The event we attended is at the same building so staying at this hotel location made sense
Cons: Got a wrong room. I requested for double queen bed but was given single king. So a family of 4 is sharing a single bed. No effort is made to help the situation. I even tried to ask if there is something she can do. I got a big 'NO'. However, the couple after us the a double queen bed. The door going out into the veranda is broken so we have to turn on the heater.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff. Clean and well maintained hotel.
Cons: Didn't like location, not close to restaurants. I had to get on the highway and drive a couple of miles to find places to eat.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value, location & friendly staff.
Cons: Hotel was noisy, not from the proximity to the airport but the guests. Stayed 3 nights in adjoining rooms on the 7th floor and each night guests were very loud in the hall late at night (past midnight), despite the sign in the elevator to be considerate of fellow guests. Would think twice about staying there again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
Cons: Paying for parking. There is no pool even though there are pictures online of a pool.
8.2 Excellent
Cons: Toilet too low, bed hard, terrible pillows

5.4 Okay
Pros: Comfortable place to stay
Cons: CHECK-IN CLERK / SERVICE POOR
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Charged an extra $10 to park in their dirty parking lot. Breakfast was understaffed with 100 people going for one chaffing dish. No service staff. Room was ok. Only three pillows to save money. Out dated. Run down. Hazard tape across staircase. Constantly waiting for the elevator in groups of20. All jamming in and people standing waiting for the next one. Ugh
6.2 Good
Cons: The attendant at the Front Desk Myron, could not have been more rude! As I came down to check out I simply said I am checking out and all he said was just drop your key. I then asked for a receipt and he fumbled through in a huff as if I was putting him out. He did not find my hotel receipt, just a beverage expense. I asked him for hotel receipt and he looked up in a huff again and said you don't get a receipt because you booked through something else so contact them.I simply asked you cannot print an actual receipt and he just responded NOPE. I then asked for a breakfast bag since it was before 6 AM. He simply huffed away and then handed it to me without saying anything. Beyond rude. I would have stayed there this week as I am coming back for work. I will certainly not at this point. No place for bad service in competitive service industry.

Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size and very clean. The pool had plenty of towels and both the hot tub and swimming pool were well kept and both the proper temperatures. The check in process was a breeze as was parking. The breakfast was all the usual dishes. Served us well.
6.0 Good
Cons: Even I had paid to stay from April 05 to April 06, the hotel front desk did not wan accept my check in, because I arrived 06:30 am, they mentioned "non-show". My booking was very clear that I was supposed to arrive this time, and the lady was rude, not polite, I was luck that was a supervisor 20 min late to solve the situation. That was my second and last booking in this hotel, never again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Hot tub was a special treat.
Cons: Limited chance for late checkout. Some rooms are subjected to background airport sounds.
6.5 Good
Pros: Near to restaurants and the mall. Ok for overnight stop.
Cons: 1.5 hrs to get from the airport to the hotel which should take only 10 minutes. Not enough shuttle buses were running and it ended up with a free for all at the airport. Booked a place on the shuttle bus the following morning but the coach was full (there was no booking system for the coach). Could have missed flight.

Pros: The room was big and spacious. Very roomy. Also had a a extra space that has 2 seater couch to entertain guest.
Cons: On my first night. The room was dirty has there was hair in the bathroom and leaving room area. The tiled floors felt sticky. After I complained, it was cleaned but yet it was not an excellent job as I could still see hairs but very minimal.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good sty at Comfort Suites. The front desk ladies and the shuttle driver were really helpful, courteous and really nice. A few things that I want to mention: 1- I requested a corner room, of which I got. But, there was something wrong with the ceiling paneling in the bathroom and the actual panels in the ceiling flapped up and down during the my stay. It was a little annoying but bearable. 2- There was a long hair on the bedding under he shirts when I pulled back the covers. I wasn't grossed out but still, not a good look overall. 3- A huge plus was there was a balcony sliding door that opened and I was able to get a view of the city and fresh air. I really enjoyed that. 4- The bed was extremely comfortable, I slept like a baby,
