Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Our visit to the Parkhotel Waldschlösschen was a bit unexpected and as a result of a faulty GPS and roadworks taking us 100km off our route, however, it was a good stop to rest up for a couple of days and we were more than happy with our stay. The hotel and room were clean and spacious although the decor was a little dated. The staff were fantastic and made us very welcome even though we arrived late and after the check-in time. We also enjoyed the food both at breakfast and at dinner, which we enjoyed on the terrace with wine! The hotel also has a great spa facility which we also made good use of.
Pros: It's a beautiful hotel, in what seems like a historic building, with high ceilings that are lowered a bit. Very friendly staff, they were happy to welcome us even though we arrived almost at night. The breakfast was good, varied, the room very clean and comfortable.
Cons: We had to pay more than what was written on the website (around 30 euro more for two nights/two people) and I don't understand why. It was a good place to stay, so we didn't mind it very much, as it was truly last minute. The access is quite difficult, as the street that goes up the hill to reach the hotel is really narrow (the width of one car) and wobbly, the entrance into the parking is confusing (take the big entrance, not the small one) and I'm not sure whether you can walk up, there may be some stairs going up the side of the hill from the river valley, but we didn't explore that part (see the valley and the stairs in the second photo).
Pros: The rooms are spacious and cozy. personnel of the Hotel is very friendly and welcoming. We were treated with a beer which was very pleasant.
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff and beautiful location
Cons: Google Maps said the walk from the station was mostly level - wrong!
