8.2 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities and great location
Cons: The public pool requires an uplifting
4.0 Okay
Pros: Boiler spoil could not been exchanged
Cons: Provide more replacement on accessories
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The king size bed was extremely comfortable. The private hot spring bath in our room was perfect - the spring water was hot and made our skin feel amazing. The staff were excellent and accommodating. The location on the river was so beautiful, and also much more convenient than most other spas without the hefty price tag of some of the others. . The view from our room was of the river and the mountains. There was no development on the mountains opposite the spa so half the view was pure spectacular wilderness. The hotel did not make us check out during the day between consecutive nights. Breakfast and dinner were included and were excellent. The hotel did not post a lot of rules and restrictions like we saw for other places. Other than the sound of the river and the rain, the location was quiet and just beautiful.
Cons: Nothing. We loved this place so much and were so glad we chose this over all the other options.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the terrace was amazing, and the alcohol chicken option at dinner was delicious. The staff warmed up to us by the time we left. The room was pretty comfortable, and there was an insane amount of vintage wood everywhere.
Cons: The washroom never got dry in 48 hours. There was a slow leak behind the sink that kept the floor wet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: was really good. I visited here twice
Cons: nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location to all the things you want to see and do in Wulai. Down the steps from the hotel is the beginning of Wulai Old Street and good street food options and a few restaurants to have lunch. Quite a few places hadn't opened up during our time there, I think they were just closed due to lack of tourists but still a few good things to choose from. Staff were friendly, English was okay to get by and understand our requests/questions Great view from the hotel room
Cons: Breakfasts were a bit bland, tried both options available - also the first time I've ever been served fries...I mean, I ate them but it was different lol Dinner was also hit and miss You have to ask to have the hot water turned on. Stayed here two nights we must've been the first room to request the water to be turned on in the morning as it takes a few minutes to heat up. At night it's boiling hot straight away.
Beauty Garden Hotel - Wulai District - Pool
2
7.0 Good (689 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in New Taipei City (Wulai), Beauty Garden Hotel is within a 5-minute drive of Wu Zhong Creek Waterfall and Wulai Atayal Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The right side of our view from tiny skinny balcony.
Cons: Well this place was photographed nicely on the marketing side of things. Blue pool was in fact green. Rooms were much smaller than the pictures made them look. Breakfast had eggs which was nice. We arrived at 340pm for 4pm check in and were told to wait 20 minutes when there was obviously no one in hotel. 4pm check in and 12 noon checkout? We were phoned and reminded at 1130am to check out at 12. Just poor service from counter staff for the price being so high.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Spa is available in the room! Nice view(cause it's almost at the top) And bathroom is very spacious.
Cons: Old. Hard to walk to the Wulai town. Wish bathtub was bigger.(Thr room was for 4 but bathtub wasn't)
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast is okay...
Cons: Room temperature is too hot
5.4 Okay
Cons: Dinner was rather expensive and of low quality at NT$300/pax. Portion was extremely small for 5 persons. Rooms were poorly maintained and dirty! Bathrooms were mouldy and dirty. Curtains were torn and tattered.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The facility is in a quiet area and the view is excellent if you get the Mountain View rooms.
Cons: The walk from town is steep and grueling with luggage. It wasn’t easy to go out and get a snack quickly if you’re on foot. Also there is no WiFi in the rooms.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all amazing - very friendly and helpful. The staff at the reception went over and above to ensure that we enjoyed our stay and to assist us with transportation. The hot tub in our room was fantastic and very clean. It was wonderful to just soak and relax while looking over the mountain. Our buffet breakfast was delicious and the coffee was good too.
Cons: The one small issue we had was that there was no hot water in the shower.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We like the rooms with the view to the river and valley. The hot spring in the room was fantastic. We were treated like kings when the typhoon was around. Very helpful staff and kind!
7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the view was gorgeous! The hotel is surrounded by nature and was very relaxing. I was able to sleep with the windows open and listen to the frogs and water as I fell asleep. And the tub was great (although it could use an upgrade).
Cons: The hotel was older than it looked in the pictures. The bedroom was fine as is, but the bathroom and pool need some renovating. I found this location was great if you plan to go to the hotel and stay. But it had been my intention to use it as a base to explore Wulai. Honestly, once I made it up the hill, I was too tired to go out exploring. I also think it would help to provide guests with written walking directions because I followed Google maps, which only has road directions and it took me around 25 minutes to walk up. I wasn’t aware of the stairs until I was leaving.
Spring Spa Hotel - Wulai District - Bedroom
3
8.3 Excellent (794 reviews)

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Located in outside Taipei but not too far to come. Hot spring was great. Room is wide and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was limited choice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The spa was excellent
Cons: The mattress was hard, almost like sleeping on the floor
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, good scenery.
Cons: NO clean up without special request, even no replacement of towels.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is really good. Also, the staffs are pretty friendly.
Cons: It might be slightly old, a revamp might be good and attractive
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel is in an quite isolated location. The room we occupied is in the reception building which really needs renovation, paint is detaching from the wall and ceiling. There is a lot of ants and big spiders. The room smells old and of mould. The village is dark and just has two three places to eat. The breakfast is mean, only one plate. The male staff is friendly but a few female staff are rude, e.g. when we asked for more hot water at breakfast, or told them to arrange our room when we left the hotel, etc. The hot water spring facilities are ok, except the staff again. We were told at the reception that last admittance is 10pm and should leave at 11pm. But when we went at 9.30pm, the pool staff said we should leave at 10.40pm and it was already very late to go to the pool, etc. It just makes you feel unwelcome.
Cons: The hot spring facilities. There are 4 pools of different temperatures, a sauna, a hammam, a high pressure jet pool, plus relaxing areas.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location and view
Cons: For it being a hot spring place- only two two weeks were provided; no place to hang towels (had to hang it on the hangers in the closet) ; no bathrobes or any hooks to hang clothes Ac unit was very noisy throughout the night. Breakfast was very less quantity, no water (hand to buy)
Wulai Pause Landis Resort - Wulai District - Bedroom
4
7.9 Good (1,100 reviews)
Overview Reviews

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything is just meet my expectation. Very private hotel but it's not located in the old street area. The bedding is very comfortable, we really had a great night after a long day. Private hot spring is awesome.
Cons: a bit surprise for their afternoon snack, just a small piece of red been mochi which is too sweet. The river view is quite disappointed because of the location
6.7 Good
Pros: Onsen
Cons: Staff unfriendly, no food to eat without advance booking. The welcome snack ( a pc of glutinous rice cake) without a cup of drink.
4.8 Okay
Pros: The public bath is nice and well designed though nothing fancy and no good view of the river.
Cons: Receptionist doesn’t speak English well and not very polite
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The quality of the hot-spring is super and the public soaking pool is enjoyable
Cons: Didn't know that we were supposed to request "dinner service in the restaurant" in advance.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I liked the dinner course, and my family had a good time.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The in room bath is very nice, the rooms as well. The paid dinner was good and the hotel design as well.
Cons: The check in process was terrible. After arriving on time and waiting in the line, the very stressed staff checked us in and then had us wait for one of them to take us to our room. About 20 minutes past and no one paid us any attention, only until I went to the reception again and demanded someone to take us to our room. The check out was even worse! We paid cash on check in, and when we checked out we had noticed by chance that they have charged my credit card as well!!! I demanded them to refund the credit card and give me a cash payment receipt as promised on check in, it took them a pretty long time to agree. When I spoke with the so called assistant manager he didn't seem to care about anything. I must say that as foreigners we felt that since their main audience is Local/Chinese they do not really care about foreigners. This is the most expensive hotel in our 3 weeks Taiwan travel and by far the worst experience! No value for money. We expected to to get the minimum we deserve, thats it. In general, seems like none of the staff crew cares about anything going wrong. With the price we paid we expected at least more then one person in the front desk at the reception so there will not be long lines every time we go there. Taiwan is a beautiful country with usualy very nice and caring people but we did not feel it in this hotel.

7.5 Good
Pros: Food was great, ambience was great.
Cons: It was our 2nd visit in 9 mths and we were expecting a warmer welcome but it was rather blah. High room rates, higher expectations you would think. I dont think they have the record of our previous stay. Maintenance works going on at the rooms opposite ours on day 1, abit noisy. Probably wont be back again in a long while.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Incredible rooms, spa services and meals. Convenient shuttle to/from the nearest MRT. The architecture of the hotel blends in very nicely with the surrounding site. Mostly, the staff couldn't have been more thoughtful in making sure we kept an ineffable memory of our first wedding anniversary!
Cons: Still a bit expensive, even for a unique experience like this one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Breakfast is good but will be nice to add more salad options for buffet area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very interesting and unusual design of the hotel. Beautiful compliment, CD with music. Unexpected is what I love. Great views, dinner and breakfast above all praise.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Public Bath if it is available.
Cons: Strong musty odor in the guest room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from staff to facilities to service to food to room. A rejuvenating stay I did not regret.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: From check in until dinner was wonderful, the only bad impression is, the hotel served me with a soured orange juice for the breakfast. I asked the waitress immediately, she told me the juice was from yesterday and said the hotel has a regulation that she needs to serve customer with something from yesterday and consume it first. I am surprised that such a nice hotel serves customer with soured food. Now I feel very uncomfortable with my stomach. I claim for full refund of my money back.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good location and the room are equipped with the basic necessities for a night stay.
Cons: Breakfast could have more variety or it would be good enough to have just few types of bun/toast/bread with butter (would be nice to have a mini toaster to heat up the bun/toast/bread)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and friendly staffs.
Cons: None, wish we could stay there more days. It was too short.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is pretty well. The bed and breakfast are outstanding! Room is clean and neat.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is almost perfect. Right across the road from Ximending, and right next to a subway exit! Rooms clean and well-kept, staff are friendly and warm.
Cons: Layout of hotel floor and lift access - basically the building is designed as a square enclosing a central courtyard but lift access to the ground floor and lobby exit is only on one side. Long walk time to your room if your room is on the opposite side of the ground access lift lobby.
7.0 Good
Pros: excellent location next to MTR exit.
Cons: the room lighting was abit too dim.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and quite spacious. The shower facilities are excellent.
Cons: Breakfast will be quite boring after a few days, as i only stay for 2 nights i can't be sure. the food served is the same for both days. Laundry service would be better if it can be collected directly from the room.

Pros: Wi-Fi worked perfectly, good location regards city transportation possibilities, clean room, free umbrella if it rains.
Cons: Despite there was air conditioning regulator in a room it was hard to raise the temperature and in was chilly in the room all the time. Very limited choice of continental breakfast, moreover food was cold.

Cons: Nope.
7.4 Good
Pros: It is beautiful, classy and full of history. But some facilities are too old and need updates. It took a long walk to get to my room. since I had knee joint problem, it was a painful experience.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel building looks very elegant, the reception area is also very nice. The bathroom seemed to have been remodeled and is fairly new.
Cons: My friend and I arrived late and the receptionist wasn't particularly friendly, and was discussing when and where to go for their cigarette break. The room is quite outdated and some areas are dusty.
6.7 Good
Pros: The decoration is really fancy in the lobby and the staff are all friendly.
Cons: First, there was some issue with the TV and the signal was not good . Second, there is dust on the frame of closet and some hair on the bathroom floor even I just enter the room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything I like, the bedroom wonderful, big size and clean, the staff very nice and helpful, the lunch time perfect
Cons: Everything was perfect, just one thing can improve is the free shuttle bus from Jiantan (shiling night market) last one at 22h40 only.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: There's a bus to take you to and from the airport right to the hotel for approximately $3. It's convenient to get to the National Palace Museum, a fabulous museum of Chinese art. The restaurant is OK, but we enjoyed the club restaurant which is on the campus.
Cons: This is a hotel catering to tour groups. We had a small room with nice bath, but it was on the inside so no windows. We used the concierge who went out of her way to help us but the front desk was less helpful.

Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: clean
Cons: no bathtub
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just nice modern great big tv was really an experience. Great overhead shower.
7.0 Good
Pros: The rooms are simple and clean. Staff was nice without being overly nice. My "deluxe" room was rather small. No room to do sit ups. Bed was soft, almost too soft. Shower worked well. The provided soaps were heavily perfumed- some people like that, I didn't. Huge TV, if you're into that sort of thing.
Cons: The entire lobby smelled strongly of some sort of chemical off-gassing, as if they had recently put some varnish on the metal. Also didn't like how the curtain partially covers the sink and you have to hold the curtain with one hand to keep it from getting wet. And, in typical East Asian style, the walls are super thin and you can hear all your neighbor's phone notifications.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really cool industrial interior design. Very unique and great location.
Cons: More storage space in the rooms would be nice
7.0 Good
Pros: Cleanliness and comfy bed.
Cons: Room soundproof not good enough.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: 1. Great service rendered by the staff at check in and check out. 2. Beautiful and trendy space 3. Loved that the entire room could be controlled via the ipad - it made things very convenient 4. Location was good, within walking distance to both ximending and Taipei Main station
Cons: 1. Bed was very underwhelming - my partner is about 10kg heavier than I am and it was extremely obvious from the way the mattress sunk in and my sleep was compromised. I don't think this is supposed to happen for good quality mattresses. 2. Breakfast selection was pretty limited - about 5 or 6 hot items. Would not have opted for breakfast inclusion if we had known. 3. Wet and dry areas of the toilet weren't segregated.
9.0 Excellent

Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here for the 2nd time and I liked it even more than last year. Location is great, rooms and interior design as well, but what makes the difference are the people working there. During the actual crisis we had some problems with our flights and our next hotel in Kaohsiung. The lovely people at CitizenM were extremely helpful and cheered us up every day. We got some free drinks at the bar and had a wonderful time in Taipei. 11 of 10 stars for the ambassadors!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: great location, great service
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location and the staff was extremely nice and helpful.
Cons: I was on the 8th floor and there was a stale odor in the hallway. The electric toilet didn't work and the shower door leaked water on the bathroom floor. As for their breakfast buffet, while the service was great, the breakfast was disappointingly mediocre at best. They could have easily improved the quality, for example, if you're serving bagels and lockes, please have cream cheese available... and of course some sliced cucumber, tomatoes, and capers will be nice too.
7.5 Good

Pros: Great location, Large room with twin bed,
4.8 Okay
Pros: Location was the only thing I liked.
Cons: Looked totally different from the pictures on the website. The air conditoning was terrible. The room was cool but humid and sticky during the entire stay. Horrible.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: connected to main train station and malls, street food outside hotel, comfortable bed
Cons: Cold room, heater not working well
5.0 Okay
Cons: Bathroom smelled with mold
4.0 Okay
Pros: Great location
Cons: Spending a night there when they did a general electricity supply maintenance: I barely slept that day. Having my body temperature checked each and every time I went in, meaning six or seven times a day, for four consecutive days
7.6 Good
Pros: Good location to all the MAT station. A lot of restaurants are around.
Cons: Equipment is old. No phone on the desk, but next to the bed. After shower, water is all over the floor - door of the bath tub cannot close. Not enough chairs for people to seat after check out - we ended up to pay $5 per person to have an exclusive room, but was so noisy due to the construction work was on going. They distributed newspaper to certain rooms, not to everyone. No enough light in the room One of the double bed is so close to the wall. Very difficult for the 2nd guest to get off the bed.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location is convenient.
Cons: Went out in the morning, returned back to room at 5pm. Once opened room door was shocked that room was still not cleaned up. Called the Reception they said will check with housekeeping but could not provide reason why. A few minutes later some one knock on the door. Housekeeping Supervisor and staff standing outside asking to clean room. We told them to come back at 5.30pm as we need to take a rest. Asked what happened why our room not cleaned. The reply was staff is new and work slower and probably missed out our room. Is this reason acceptable? Anyway, we returned later in the night and the room is done plus a plate of complimentary fresh fruits. The room small window is behind the bed. The top of curtain do not completed covered the window. Hence early morning sunlight came through and quite disturbing.

7.5 Good
Pros: Food was great, ambience was great.
